🚨🚨 🚨 FIRST LOOK🚨🚨🚨

Featuring: AARON TVEIT

okay but imagine if wade made it into an mcu movie and removed the lower part of his mask so clint could understand like he does in the comics and tries fingerspelling something at some point and clint is like “sorry man i never learned sign language” and wade just is so confused and pulls out a hawkeye comic and rifles through it and just looks up like “those motherfuckers”

Howl’s Moving Castle tho

I think it’s interesting when you remember that throughout almost the entire movie Howl literally had no soul, which was apparent when it came to things like his cluttered rooms—evidence of his materialism

—and how he totally (and hilariously) overreacted when he got his hair color wrong, displaying his vanity.

Not to mention, he sent Sophie to see Suliman in his stead because he was afraid (he later changed his mind and went to rescue her but, still, it’s important in establishing that less noble side of his character.)

BUT EVEN SO, when he met Sophie he started to exhibit selfless behavior, despite his intrinsic lack of heroism/nobility.

AND, soulless as he was, somehow he still managed to actually fall in love with Sophie.

Sophie drew the goodness out of him just by believing that that goodness existed.

It’s just so goddamned beautiful I can’t stand it.

anonymous asked:

Since it's International Women's Day, who are your top 5 most inspirational/influential female characters in fiction you grew up with/currently admire?

Augh, it’s super late but here it is if you are still interested. I’ll stick to anime/cartoons (no particular order).

Nausicaä from “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”: She’s a strong leader who is dependable, skilled, level-headed yet has compassion and empathy, even towards her “enemies”. She’s also open-minded towards the toxic jungle and its guardian insects, leading her to discover the truth about them. I still watch this movie in awe now and just think “she’s so cool…” gah, I wanna see this movie again now.

Kuronuma Sawako from “Kimi ni Todoke”: She works really hard to get along with others even though everyone is terrified or indifferent towards her because of her “gloomy” aura. She doesn’t let what other people think of her get her down or stop her from working hard to clear misunderstandings (which there are a lot of). She always put’s other’s feelings first, but is sometimes too considerate to the point that she unintentionally misunderstands/hurts her friends. She has a “I’ll do better next time” mentality. I tend to be quiet and misunderstand/get misunderstood a bit so it’s nice seeing someone overcoming these obstacles.

Sophie from “Howl’s Movie Castle”: Sophie hits close to home. She’s not your typical “pretty” character and she admits it, repetitively. Initially she kept to herself, settled to doing what she thinks her father would have wanted and is not really happy but is content. Later she grows to be strong woman who can stand on her own two feet, tackle problems head on and get things done for the people she loves.

Nani from “Lilo and Stitch”: This TEENAGER supports herself and her younger sister alone after the death of their parents. Despite so many arguments with Lilo, she still works her butt off to provide for her and keep her from being taken away by social services. She puts Lilo’s needs first and always looked for her best interest. Nani reminds me of my older sister (9 years apart) who was basically a second mom to me. She did a lot for me that I realize I’ve taken for granted. I love my sister to bits.

Chihiro from “Sprited Away” (Just watch any Hayao Miyazaki film for inspirational characters lol) At first started as a bit of a weak, mopey, whiny brat. After being thrust into the spirit baths and with her parents (pig) lives at sake she quickly adapted, growing into a hard worker who’s empathetic, respectful, cleaver and courageous. In the end she saves her parents, breaks Haku’s curse and lifts the spirit’s, uh, spirits. Oh yeah and she’s ten. And I swear that moment when she eats the rice balls Haku gave her and started crying… I wanna cry every time.

I WOULD have included Haruno Sakura from “Naruto” but her character was completed destroyed in the end. I honestly feel so bad for her… She developed so much as a character and as a ninja and had such potential. What a shame.

42 Days of the Mountain Goats: Day 2: You Were Cool

The Paper Towns movie comes out in 41 days. In the book, the Mountain Goats are Q’s favorite band. Completely by coincidence, the Mountain Goats are also my favorite band.

So I thought I’d share a John Darnielle/Mountain Goats song I love every day from now until July 24th to celebrate the movie and the band.

Today we have “You Were Cool,” which has never been released on an album but is performed live regularly, including when the Mountain Goats joined Hank and me for 2013′s Evening of Awesome at Carnegie Hall.

Money lyric: “It’s good to be young, but let’s not kid ourselves: it’s better to pass on through those years and come out through the other side with our hearts still beating, having stared down demons and come back breathing.”

This opening still gives me chills. Even 80s fashion and special effects can’t lessen the power of Queen.

kytemagia  asked:

Kine walks up to Mumen. "Whats your favorite number? Color? Flower? animal? season? do you prefer necklaces or braclets? favorite pet? song? movie?'

“Gah! Slow down please!”

“Okay… Um…Here we go…”

“Number 66 because it reminds Me of a good friend.” (Bonus points if you know who.)
“I like the color green… but also Blues are nice too. My favorite sweater is actually light blue.”
“Roses are nice, but I also love yellow Daisies.”
“I don’t mind Necklaces, but Bracelets are awesome.”

“For favorite pet…” *Holds up Ginger.* “Gotta be this fuzzy kitty for sure!”

“For song… Anything soft and mellow really. Doesn’t even need words.”
“And I like magical movies, like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the caribbean… That sort of thing…”

Okay, hear me out…

Tangled AU with Yona as Rapunzel, the princess trapped in a tower for 18 years of her life who possesses magic red hair; Hak as Flynn, the suave, sarcastic thief who finds her; Ao as Pascal, Yona’s critter friend, and Kija as Maximus, the duty-bound palace horse chasing Hak all over the country.

(And if we’re really getting into it, Jae-Ha as Father Gothel, the man who wants to stay young and beautiful forever~)

Heyo, Banana Pie!

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to turn some layers back on
