The Majestic High Tatra Mountains. Snow drifts by Teryho Chata (chalet), 2012 meters above sea level. Beautiful trek, occasionally through some snow banks and amazing views. Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone.  Whether you celebrate it or not, make sure you treat yourself to something sweet.  Just don’t get too messy while eating all that sweetness.

Back in December, before our trip to North Africa, we were asked by the sweet team of Petite&Sweet (you’ve seen them on Sugar Stars TV series on FoodNetwork) to shoot their Valentine’s Day table.  There is nothing better than splattering the beautiful white table with red chocolate.  Of course a sweet table can never be without delicious French Macarons, or cupcakes, mouth watering cakes and sugar cookies.  Enjoy!

After a long wait I have received the Triggertrap v1which should make my liquid photography a bit easier, specially when you can’t get someone to keep hitting that shutter button. I tested it it out with filling up some balloons with water, some clean and some coloured with food colouring. Triggertrap was set to Sound Mode. Here are some images from today’s test. They feel kind of galactic, like millions of miles away in the galaxy. Enjoy!

I have also posted these on my website at GABETOTH.COM, which is undergoing some changes. So when you have some time check it out please.

The other day a good friend of mine sent me a picture of her lovely daughter holding up a book titled Macaroons.  I am still surprised how many people don’t know the difference between macaroons (think of coconut macaroons) and macarons, which are made of almond flour and are a delicacy coming directly from Paris.  So we created a mock up book cover with the latest shots of Hardi’s creations.  The truth is though we are thinking about creating a real book too with all his amazing recipes.  They are delicious and the best macarons in Toronto.  I’ve been told.

It felt a bit chilly on today’s 30km bike ride, but regardless, it was a beautiful ride out in the open.  Finally, I made it to Tommy Thompson Park as it’s only open during the week (or after 5pm on weekdays).  What an incredible place to be, not far from the city.  I’m sure lot of Torontonians have no idea about such a beautiful spot our city has to offer.  Here are few images (one being from Ashbridges Bay).  Even seagulls are in love. Fell free to leave comments and let me know which images are your favourites.
