In light of recent
discussion, some of the fans of the GoChi pairing have gathered
together to hold a special week event celebrating Goku and Chi-Chi as
a couple. We’ve noticed other pairings will have their own special
weeks of celebration and positivity for their favorite couple, so we
decided why not emulate the idea ourselves? Yes, we already have a
Son Family week (encompassing GoChi Day 5/7 through 5/10) but this
one time we want to do something to focus on the GoChi couple alone.
Please feel free to
participate any day you can with whatever art form you can offer.
Fanfiction, art, graphics, videos, etc ~ All of the prompts are up
for interpretation so go ahead and create whatever you think suits
the theme. I’ve included two options for each day. You can go with
the first, or the second,
or use both. Whatever you feel best doing. They’re pretty general so have fun with it!
1. Fairytales /
2. Secrets / Longing
3. Butterflies /
4. Art / Inspiration
5. Game / Energetic
6. Patience / Stress
7. Future /
- Pairing must be Goku/Chi-Chi and preferably new work
- Not opposed to NSFW content, just make sure it is tagged or placed
under a read more
- You can interpret the prompt in any way you want
- Please no ship hate on any ship
- Please tag your additions #gochiweek or submit to @kairi-yajuu (you
can also make a post linking to something off tumblr and still tag it)
- Try to have your addition posted the day of the specific prompt;
it’s okay to be a day late because of life obligations but do make an
effort is all I ask :)
- Be positive and have fun!
You can flood the
#gochi tag and/or use #gochiweek to tag your work so that they show
up. I will be tracking the #gochiweek tag and reblogging what I find.
(Remember – make sure the tag is one of the first five of your
tags, else it may not show up)
Spread this around
to gather more people that may be interested. And above all – stay
positive and have fun!
Son Week is an official event held every year from 5/7 to 5/10 in Japan, during which merchandise is sold and fans celebrate their love for the Son Family characters through different forms of expression. After recently learning that there hasn’t been an organized Tumblr event in previous years, I’ve decided to host it as well as extend it to a full week, with 3 added days: ChiChi Day (a reversal of ChiChi’s 11/5 birthday, as suggested by @redasuki), HanVi Day (Gohan x Videl) and Bardine Day (Bardock x Gine).
I’ve included three prompts for each date. You can choose one or the other, or a combination of two or three of them, and you may interpret the themes however you want! They can be presented in whichever form you prefer including but not limited to: fanfiction, fanart, moodboards, comic strips/doujinshi, AMVs, videos, vines, screenshots, headcanons, au edits, character analysis, gifs, etc.
Keep in mind, these prompts are meant to inspire you, not to inhibit your creativity, so if you want to/ already have created Son Family content using your own ideas, I’d still be more than happy to share what you’ve made!
PROMPTS AND DAYS:
GoChi Day 5.7- Anniversary/Honesty/Long-Distance
Gohan Day 5.8- Animals/Laughter/Hope
Goku Day 5.9- Sacrifice/Motivation/Excitement
Goten Day 5.10- Adventure/Music/Friendship
ChiChi Day 5.11- Dance/Courage/Happiness
HanVi Day 5.12- Fireworks/Cosplay/Chemistry
Bardine Day 5.13- Battle/A Second Chance/Desire
AND CRACK/FUN IDEAS:
-Getting lost/stuck somewhere
*** These can be used for any of the days and characters/ships, either as a replacement or in addition to the other prompts.
For additional fun, I will be streaming a movie or a number of episodes each day on rabbi.it. You don’t need an account to sign in; you just need to sign in as a guest. I will be posting a link on this blog 30 minutes prior to streaming the video, which will be shown at 5 p.m. EST all through Son week (time subject to change if you guys prefer another time- let me know!)
5.7- “Wedding Filler” episodes (149-153)
5.8- Bojack Unbound
5.9- The World’s Strongest
5.10- Broly, Second Coming
5.11- “Anonymous Proposal” (ep. 137)
5.12- Battle of the Gods
5.13- Bardock, the Father of Goku
Please be respectful. No hatred towards the participants, Son family members, and other ships and supporting/main characters.
NSFW is accepted, but must be tagged as such.
Tag your work within the first 5 tags as #sonfamilyweek or #son family week, so that I can track and reblog it to this page. You may submit in the submission box or send a link via message. If you wish to remain anonymous, please let me know. You may also send me a link from a site that is not Tumblr.
Be positive! This is not a competition or measure of your talent, so please PLEASE don’t feel like your work is not good enough to submit. Every contribution is welcome!
You don’t need to do make something for every day, though it is encouraged (the more the merrier!)! You can create more than one thing per day, if you’d like!
Have fun and please reblog to spread the word!
***Feel free to drop me an inbox or message for further questions.
First, pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4/350F/180C and line a roasting tray with foil or parchment.
Cut the butternut squash into bite-size chunks, then line up on the tray and spray with a little cooking spray. Roast for 30-40 minutes until tender, stirring halfway.
Meanwhile, rinse the lentils before adding to a pot along with the stock cube and covering with cold water. Bring to the boil, then allow to simmer for 12 minutes.
Heat some cooking spray on a non-stick pan and add the onions. Fry until soft, then add the curry paste, tomatoes and coconut milk. Stir every so often as the sauce thickens (about 10 minutes). Meanwhile, heat up the naan bread in the oven.
Finally, add the squash, lentils and spinach to the curry and season to taste. Cook for another couple of minutes, then serve with the naan bread.
Notes: I adapted this (with little change) from a BBC recipe to cook for my mum on our vegan nights because we both LOVE curry and this was a hit!
went grocery shopping and there was this dude who went on and on about how today’s world is “too liberal and we need people like Mussolini back”. Can’t a girl just buy milk without having to hear this bs?
I mean I know it was all scripted…but the fcking cleaning job JiKook had to do still pisses me off.

Russian baker Olga Noskova makes “mirror cakes” using a mirror glaze. She has 350,000 Instagram followers and counting.
Noskova’s exact glaze recipe is secret, but Culinary Institute of America baking and pastry dean Thomas Vaccaro said that mirror glazes have been around for 30-40 years. Vaccaro went on to say that mirror glazes are
essentially gelatin, sugar, and water, but mirror glazes can have many variations to add flavor and color. The glaze can be applied to an array of desserts finished with a cream—you wouldn’t want to apply directly to an unfrosted cake, because it would absorb the glaze like a sponge. But on a frosted cake, the glaze will completely enrobe the cake, then set up on top.
Temperature also plays a part: Bringing the mixture down from boiling to a lower temperature, 110˚ to 120˚, is the key to getting that shine when you pour the glaze; it then sets when it cools at 87˚.
Vaccaro even provided a recipe for a chocolate mirror glaze:
Ultra-Shiny Chocolate Mirror Glaze
Courtesy of The Culinary Institute of America
Yield: 2 quarts
Total prep time: 10 minutes
2 pounds, 4 ounces sugar
1 pound, 3 ounces water
11 ounces Dutch cocoa
11 ounces crème fraiche
20 gelatin sheets or leaves (available at specialty stores)
8 ounces Peter’s chocolate
1. Bloom the gelatin in water (follow package directions).
2. Boil the sugar, water, cocoa, and crème fraiche.
3. Squeeze out the excess water from the gelatine and add. Strain through a chinois.
4. Cool the glaze to 120°F before applying.
Note: Use a double boiler to re-warm.
A Reddit user, SuperDrew124, shared this mirror-like glaze recipe:
SuperDrew124′s Mirror Glaze
20 g Gelatin Powder
120 g Water
300 g Glucose
300 g Sugar
150 g Water
200 g Sweetened Condensed Milk
300 g Chocolate (White, Milk, Dark or a combination)
1) Bloom the gelatin in the water. 2) Boil the glucose, sugar, and water. 3) Remove from heat and add the gelatin. 4) Add the condensed milk. 5) Pour over chocolate and buerre mix to remove air bubbles.
