fuse green

i can’t believe BOTH of evan’s boyfriends have heterochromia

slamecka

Beastly. Impaled and crushed against the wall,

palms flat, slap-slapping out count at each stroke

while gin, the feathered serpent and menthol

pierce you to your core. Tonight we’ll invoke

banjee beats with Verde Viento. Green Fuse.

Arse Elektronika — Between the hips

with four fingers dug deep: we’ll let sweat-ooze

and spit-cum drip down. Gods whose fingertips

touch us leave a mark, the rest leave a sore

bruise. I leave the slamecka: the buildup

to when both your thighs give way, your speech slurs,

and the gods and saints are with you, hardcore.

Slathered in my own saliva, heaved up,

I can balance you on my four fingers.

Dylan Thomas - The Force That Through The Green Fuse Drives The Flower - Read by Sir Anthony Hopkins - From the 1984 series Six Centuries Of Verse.

The Force That Through The Green Fuse Drives The Flower
by Dylan Thomas (1914-1953)

The force that through the green fuse drives the flower
Drives my green age; that blasts the roots of trees
Is my destroyer.
And I am dumb to tell the crooked rose
My youth is bent by the same wintry fever.

The force that drives the water through the rocks
Drives my red blood; that dries the mouthing streams
Turns mine to wax.
And I am dumb to mouth unto my veins
How at the mountain spring the same mouth sucks.

The hand that whirls the water in the pool
Stirs the quicksand; that ropes the blowing wind
Hauls my shroud sail.
And I am dumb to tell the hanging man
How of my clay is made the hangman’s lime.

The lips of time leech to the fountain head;
Love drips and gathers, but the fallen blood
Shall calm her sores.
And I am dumb to tell a weather’s wind
How time has ticked a heaven round the stars.

And I am dumb to tell the lover’s tomb
How at my sheet goes the same crooked worm.

All That’s Dead, and Gone, and Passed

Summary: One-shot. They’ve reached the end of the book and gotten their happy ending, but Emma doesn’t know how to not worry about losing it. Fluffy, feelsy, future fic inspired by the song “Safe and Sound” by Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars.

Word Count: 1639

Rated: T

A/N: I was watching The Voice the other day and one of the contestants performed “Safe and Sound” by Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars and I was reminded what a beautiful song it is. So, naturally I listened to it on repeat a few times and ended up getting Captain Swan/end of the book (seriously was anyone prepared for that Isaac/Henry scene at the end of the episode?) feels.

While this isn’t the first fic I’ve written, it is the first I’ve felt brave enough to post! I would love feedback! Thanks for reading!

Chapter 3: Fusing Pink with Green

“Explain it to me again why I can’t go back to my own apartment?” Trini huffs out from the confines of the bed as she mindless flips through the endless array of channels on the tv.

“It’s not safe,” Kim replies without missing a beat. She makes her way around the suite, unceremoniously collecting her belongings and stuffing them into a beat up army duffle.

“You’re like a fuckin’ broken record, Hart.” Trini stops flipping, reaches into her jeans pocket and produces a yellow power coin. “I’ve got one of these as well. Remember? I can take care of myself.”

Kim stops at the sight of Trini’s power coin as a look of shock crosses her face. “You still have it?”

“Yeah. Tried to give it up once or twice but Jason wouldn’t let me.”

“Can you still…,” Kim trails off, not really knowing how to finish her sentence.

“No. Not in years. You?”

There’s something about Trini’s last word that snaps Kim right out of her momentarily trance and back into the reality of the situation. Truthfully, she doesn’t know how to even begin to answer that.

So I saw a theory on here about how White Diamond could’ve killed Pink and blamed Rose. Which absolutely makes sense. I know people suggested she could’ve been framed by Homeworld already but after That Will Be All it’s clear that Blue and Yellow 100% believe Rose did it, so much so that Yellow wants to destroy all Rose Quartz’s.

This gave me another idea. We’ve long taken Yellow be the big baddy; the main villain that the Crystal Gems have to defeat at the end. She still could be. But White Diamond’s mysterious existence still looms over us. She’s the last living diamond we have yet to see and yet to understand her feelings towards Pink’s death. So IF any of the diamonds killed Pink in order to frame Rose, it has to be White.

I always wondered how the CGs could take on a diamond. Even if they formed the temple fusion, even with Peridot and Lapis and the newfound Famethysts. I still think it’s an impossible feat. In the real world, only a diamond can cut another diamond. How would Blue and Yellow feel if they found out White killed their beloved friend? Trusting her for thousands of years after it happened, letting her rule with them or possibly even above them. Would they be angry enough, hurt enough to fuse and form Green Diamond? A giant diamond fusion that could best even White Diamond?

This is more of a cool idea than a theory. And it’s not to say I want redemption for Yellow and Blue, they’re still tyrannical leaders. But it would be an interesting turn of events. Their love for Pink is strong, maybe strong enough to defeat the one who betrayed them all.
