Hey Haley:) Every morning I wake up I feel anxious, and this has been going for a long time now. I don't know why I feel such anxiety, I'm not depressed or anything. I just want to feel okay in the morning. If you have any advice on how to stop feeling this way, please tell me :)
When you wake up, immediately start playing your favorite song. Not just out loud from the built in speaker of an iPod, no, plug it up to a goddamn stereo and dance around to that bitch. Literally sing out exactly how you’re feeling; there’s no need to dwell within an anxiety attack, for it only does more damage than good. It’s easier said than done, I know, because once an anxiety attack pulls you in, your heartbeat doesn’t seem to slow down until you’ve been away from the source for about half and hour. Just do me a favor and wake up, blast your music, and get ready for the day. Try and take your mind off the tension you’re feeling.
I’ve always turned to music to calm myself down in such situations.
