From the studio that brought you Cat Planet Cuties and the director of Jormungand comes a hilarious new series. Watch what happens when dating sims and reality shows collide in Date A Live.

 Date A Live synopsis:

30 years ago, a disaster known as a spacequake obliterated the center of Eurasia without warning, leaving 150 million corpses in its wake. Ever since that day, mankind has lived in constant fear of the spontaneously recurring spacequakes.

One day, an ordinary high school boy named Shido Itsuka discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through the help of his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the genesis of the spacequakes. As captain of the anti-Spirit airship Ratatoskr, Kotori recruits Shido to help “seal” the sprits, thus ending their threat to mankind.

There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit – is to make her fall in love with you.

Date A Live will be available in June 2014. Catch up on episodes on

From P.A.Works, the studio behind such beautifully rendered works as Hanasaku Iroha and Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea, comes a series where stunning animation and raw emotional power take center stage. See why Anime News Network calls Red Data Girl “one of the year’s best series.”

Accompanied by her fated guardian, the brooding monk-in-training Miyuki, Izumiko soon discovers the shocking truth about herself: she is a vessel for the spirt of a powerful and vengeful goddess from a time long since passed. As her bond with Miyuki growns stronger, the spirit lurking within Izumiko begins to awaken. Vic Mignogna is cast as Rin Matsuoka

Tumblr: “Oh my god he’s super religious and ver-”
me: who cares, why does that matter
Tumblr: “He’s so rude/creepy to everyone!”
me: who cares, why does that matter
Tumblr: “Lets make a petition to HAVE THEM CHANGE THE DUB!”
me: who car- Ok, no no no. Wait a minute. Are you guys actually serious? You’re all gonna pull out the “he uses the same voice for every character” argument again? What about Todd? Hmm? Matt Mercer? Troy Baker? That is their voice. They’re called voice actors, not impressionists. Are all of you fucking fans really this butthurt about it? Do you REALLY have a reason to be? Enough of a reason to blatantly disrespect a man and AN ENTIRE INDUSTRY by making a petition to HAVE A MAN KICKED OFF THE DUB?

Here, if this is the direction that the anime community is going, I have an idea. Let’s make a petition to shut down all dubbing industries, make it so that there will be no English dubs. Let’s do it for subbing groups, too. People like the ones who made that petition and are actively slandering Vic Mignogna and his name don’t deserve to have anime in the English language, or anime at all. These people in the industry are doing work because you want it done.

Don’t throw messages at me about Vic’s personal beliefs, whether or not he’s homophobic, his “disgusting” religion as I’ve so graciously seen it put, because I’ll be honest, I don’t fucking care. That shouldn’t matter or factor into his voice acting roles. I don’t personally care for Kanye West’s ideas or beliefs but I still listen to his music, you know?

For a community that preaches equality, you all really don’t know what that fucking word means do you?

This website makes me sick.

With the U.S Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage in every state, I can’t stop thinking about makoharu, sourin, and reigisa X3

How fitting and beautiful that on the day gay marriage becomes legal in the U.S., funimation is releasing the English dub of our favorite swimming boys ;) <3
