fully controlled

anonymous asked:

What is Bop like under Dark's power. Once Dark fully takes control of him I mean

Bop under Dark is cold.

All he can hear is Dark’s voice and the buzz of static in his ear or whatever Dark allows him to hear. He knows about how the Host was judged after he returned and he’s terrified of being shunned so in his transformation, he shuts down. Gone is friendly, warm if nervous Bop to be replaced with almost an almost emotionless one. The Host was strong enough to retain most of his personality, if quieter. Bim was destroy, his kindness replaced with anger. And Bop, once empathetic, turns apathetic.

Don’t be afraid to dip into the unknown. To stray from your comfort zone. To live with a bit of uncertainty. This is often when we make the greatest discoveries, find the most amazing adventures, and learn what we’d never thought possible.

Moon Elements

I’m certain of the fact that the elements play one of the biggest roles in astrology. And the Moon is the planet that can be best determined by the element of the sign. So here are a few characteristics that always approach the moon element.

Fire Moon

It is all about PASSION. You are wild and uncontrollable, they shouldn’t even think of taming you. Quick to fall in love and immediate to turn on, you’re even easier to get hurt. Your affections are strong but temporary, they play the main role in your life, though. Your feelings will always have priority, you’re ready to give up a lot for the ones you care about, this is what makes you vulnerable. Your emotions are obvious, you can’t hide from them, neither can you bring them under control, you’re completely unprotected. This passion can be destructive just as to you, so to the people around you.

Earth Moon

It is all about FAITH & DEVOTION. Your eyes will drive them crazy. They are gorgeous, deep and full of different kinds of feelings. You are hard to understand if they don’t know you well. You have a completely different approach to different people. If you care about them, you are able to sacrifice your life for them in a matter of seconds. On the opposite, if they didn’t make it to your heart, you will be colder than the snow, harsh and insensitive, it will be impossible to get to your true feelings. If you picked someone, you will stay with them until the very end. You will be faithful to a fault, but you’ll expect the same from them, so any betrayal is unforgivable.

Air Moon

It is all about FRIENDSHIP. Communication and understanding is the key. You absolutely need to feel the support and acceptance. You like to be taken as you are, you like seeing people falling for your little flaws. Your soul belongs to art, though, aesthetic beauty is what makes you emotionally complete. You are the one to fall for someone who surprises you with beautiful presents and flowers, you need attention. You’re fully in control of your sexuality and affections, you know your worth and you won’t allow yourself to settle for less.

Water Moon

It is all about FEELINGS. Though those feelings are changeable. You fall in love with full intensity, but you’re able to get over it quite soon. You are compassionate and sensitive, easy to hurt. Your intuition is incredibly strong, but you are trusting it too much and forget that it’s not always the right thing to listen to. Your emotions are like an open book, you can’t hide anything.

Can we take a minute and talk about how fantastic Harry’s voice sounds on this song?  It’s rich, it’s not strained, his technique is on point for rock.  his falsetto is clear and pure. The beginning in particular is clean and precise.    His belt at the end is open and fully supported.  His breath control is spot on.  And the little details like the way he transitions from chest voice to falsetto in the bridge on “will we ever learn?” is SO SMART.  He’s using such strong dynamics.  He has grown so much and I’m just so incredibly impressed.  And so incredibly proud.

Science in Space!

What science is headed to the International Space Station with Orbital ATK’s cargo resupply launch? From investigations that study magnetic cell culturing to crystal growth, let’s take a look…

Orbital ATK is targeted to launch its Cygnus spacecraft into orbit on April 18, delivering tons of cargo, supplies and experiments to the crew onboard.

Efficacy and Metabolism of Azonafide Antibody-Drug Conjugates in Microgravity Investigation

In microgravity, cancer cells grow in 3-D. Structures that closely resemble their form in the human body, which allows us to better test the efficacy of a drug. This experiment tests new antibody drug conjugates.

These conjugates combine an immune-activating drug with antibodies and target only cancer cells, which could potentially increase the effectiveness of chemotherapy and potentially reduce the associated side-effects. Results from this investigation could help inform drug design for cancer patients, as well as more insight into how microgravity effects a drug’s performance.

Genes in Space

The Genes in Space-2 experiment aims to understand how the regulation of telomeres (protective caps on the tips of chromosomes) can change during spaceflight. Julian Rubinfien, 16-year-old DNA scientist and now space researcher, is sending his experiment to space as part of this investigation.

3-D Cell Culturing in Space

Cells cultured in space spontaneously grow in 3-D, as opposed to cells cultured on Earth which grow in 2-D, resulting in characteristics more representative of how cells grow and function in living organisms. The Magnetic 3-D Cell Culture for Biological Research in Microgravity investigation will test magnetized cells and tools that may make it easier to handle cells and cell cultures.

This could help investigators improve the ability to reproduce similar investigations on Earth.

SUBSA

The Solidification Using a Baffle in Sealed Ampoules (SUBSA) investigation was originally operated successfully aboard the space station in 2002.

Although it has been updated with modernized software, data acquisition, high definition video and communications interfaces, its objective remains the same: advance our understanding of the processes involved in semiconductor crystal growth.

Space Debris

Out-of-function satellites, spent rocket stages and other debris frequently reenter Earth’s atmosphere, where most of it breaks up and disintegrates before hitting the ground. However, some larger objects can survive. The Thermal Protection Material Flight Test and Reentry Data Collection (RED-Data2) investigation will study a new type of recording device that rides alongside of a spacecraft reentering the Earth’s atmosphere. Along the way, it will record data about the extreme conditions it encounters, something scientists have been unable to test on a large scale thus afar.

Understanding what happens to a spacecraft as it reenters the atmosphere could lead to increased accuracy of spacecraft breakup predictions, an improved design of future spacecraft and the development of materials that can resist the extreme heat and pressure of returning to Earth.

IceCube CubeSat

IceCube, a small satellite known as a CubeSat, will measure cloud ice using an 883-Gigahertz radiometer. Used to predict weather and climate models, IceCube will collect the first global map of cloud-induced radiances.

The key objective for this investigation is to raise the technology readiness level, a NASA assessment that measures a technology’s maturity level.

Advanced Plant Habitat

Joining the space station’s growing list of facilities is the Advanced Plant Habitat, a fully enclosed, environmentally controlled plant habitat used to conduct plant bioscience research. This habitat integrates proven microgravity plant growth processes with newly-developed technologies to increase overall efficiency and reliability.

The ability to cultivate plants for food and oxygen generation aboard the space station is a key step in the planning of longer-duration, deep space missions where frequent resupply missions may not be a possibility.

Let me drown in my Darkiplier hell.  My inner fanfiction writer won’t let him go.

And yet the analysis machine rolls on…because I’m clingy and can’t let go.

This time around, I was thinking about what Mark had said about Dark through his charity livestream around the time the date video released (transcript here), and how they were able to translate that into what we have seen in Darkiplier’s entrances.  One of them in particular stood out to me the most.

“Darkiplier is an entirely different person from me. But, much like Warfstache, doesn’t obey the laws of physics.  He exists in another world entirely and bleeds through into this one.

Honestly, I think a lot of people have already had this as their personal canon for Dark, given that a grand majority of the ones I’ve seen just consider him some kind of demon who took a liking to Mark because come on, he’s famous and has a rather muscular body that’s PERFECT for…demon…plans…or whatever demons plan out.

Actually, what really caught my interest is that Darkiplier doesn’t obey the laws of physics.  As a physics major, this makes me wonder what laws he could be following, as I personally believe that any world follows some form of “physical law”.  I sat on it for a few days before I figured it out.  It’s pretty rational too.

He runs on video editing logic.

His emotions literally operate how we see him.  His anger leaks through in glitches, ruining what is otherwise a “cleanly shaped” image of himself.

Notice how the angrier he gets, the more glitches and zooms occur.  On top of that, the one thing I utterly love is how the camera shakes.  Dark’s rage is leaking at such a capacity that even the dimension we’re in is shaking.  It remains as my favorite effect applied in the entire series, and if Mark ever does bring him back for another round, we get more camera shakes.  Shake that camera like you shake that neck, dude.

But compare that to when he’s finalizing how we’re going to be together forever and that we can never leave.

No glitches, no rapid camera shakes, hell, Dark’s not even saturated in color filters like the wine bottle next to him.  He’s fully in control of his berserker rage and now the dimension we’re in is fully stabilized.  There’s nothing to be angry about; he’s won.  It’s the ONLY scene where Dark isn’t surrounded by glitches.  So for the first time, he’s not even angry.  Holy shit.

But there’s one thing that solidifies my theory on Darkiplier’s physics logic.  And it’s this one right here.

Darkiplier somehow has the ability to keep us trapped in a loop in this prison until we take another ending route.  We can all assume that perhaps he just uses his otherworld demon powers to keep us here for him to watch us go through our personal hell.  But let’s reword this logic.

What if…instead of saying he has the power to trap people in dimension loops…

He has the power to rewind time?

Like a video cassette?

Or a YouTube video?

Lancelot Idea (+Lotor headcanons and Klance)

This is gonna be a very long post that features a lot of my ideas that I thought of, like, ten minutes ago. I’d like to make this into a comic/fanfic but if anyone else wants to as well, go ahead! Link it to me somehow cuz I’d love to read it and die cuz I’ll love you forever ahhh

It’s about 1,700 words, hehehe…I got really carried away. sorry about any mistakes too, I wrote this as fast as possible lol. I’ll put it under a cut.

“Y/N…” he mumbled.

You were woken up by Jungkook mumbling a multitude of unintelligible things but heard your name among those things. You felt a warm body right behind you and a strong arm around your waist. This was definitely not how you went to bed. You tried to pull his arm off of you but he grunted softly and pulled you closer.

After he had you even closer, his breathing evened out and he peacefully and unconsciously started rubbing your exposed stomach. He started on your stomach at least. After he rubbed one section of skin, he would move higher up. Slowly, he eventually reached your breast and stilled his hand there.

The armistice between Taylor Swift and Spotify is good for everyone

Let’s answer the main question right out of the gate: the reason Taylor Swift brought her albums back onto Spotify and to platforms she’s overlooked in the past few years, like Amazon Music and Pandora Premium, isn’t because Katy Perry released Witness (although it may have something to do with the timing) or because Swift’s last album, 1989, sold 10 million copies (this is the official reasoning for the release) — it’s because of the new licensing deal between her distributor Universal Music Group and Spotify, and the realities of releasing music in 2017.

The new deal between UMG and Spotify allows for artists to choose to window new albums (or make them unavailable to free users) for up to two weeks after their initial release — a huge win for the label, and a sticking point for Swift. Streams from paid users pay far better than streams from ad-supported users on Spotify, and Swift is nothing if not fully in control of her content and her finances.

In 2014, the last time Taylor Swift released an album, people still bought albums. She pulled her catalog from Spotify the week 1989 was released, stating the service doesn’t pay artists fairly and doesn’t give them enough control over their content. “I’m not willing to contribute my life’s work to an experiment that I don’t feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists, and creators of this music,“ Swift told Yahoo at the time.

The experiment isn’t an experiment anymore.

In 2016, streaming became the dominant revenue driver for the music industry — when 1989 was released, it made up 27 percent of the revenue. Spotify grew from 10 million paying customers in 2014 to 50 million this year. Swift can’t ignore that.

Even Adele, a notorious hater of streaming, admitted that she would eventually catch up with the times shortly after she released 25 at the end of 2015, despite holding the album off streaming services for seven months. “I know that streaming music is the future, but it’s not the only way to consume music,” Adele told Time back in 2015. With an older audience used to buying albums, Adele might be able to stand on this for another release. Swift doesn’t have that luxury.

Make no mistake, Swift is one of the shrewdest businesspeople in the music industry, and she will get every dollar she’s earned. But in 2017, keeping your catalog off streaming services won’t help you maximize your earning potential or appease your fans.

You could argue Swift won both of her corporate fights in the music industry. She got Apple Music to pay artists during its trial period, and Spotify agreed to a two week windowing period for new albums. (The latter had far less to do with Swift and more to do with Spotify trying to stay afloat as a company charging toward an IPO, but a win is a win.)

While Spotify may have lost the initial battle, it didn’t lose the war, and frankly neither did Swift. This is a calculated armistice that allows both sides to retreat to their base and claim victory. 1989 is finally on the world’s largest streaming service, and Swift will get paid more and have more control over her content going forward.

The real winner here is the Swift fans and Spotify users, who can finally listen to the most popular artist in the US without hassle.

30-Day Kill la Kill Challenge
Day 14: Favorite Fight Scene - Ryuko and Nui’s Third Encounter

anonymous asked:

What do you think is the best way to contact a spirit for a beginner spirit worker? Thanks you :)

hi anon!

this is a great question that can vary in answer depending on who you’re asking. for some people who started and stuck exclusively with spirit shops and conjurers, they may recommend exactly that! for others who meet spirits without the aid of shops, they may recommend conjuring yourself, or even taking a look around your house or neighborhood. spirits exist everywhere and are all around us, so the options are endless.

first off: protections

for a beginner, i first want to recommend knowing how to protect yourself. before you even begin meeting spirits or contacting them, ensure you know how to ward yourself and your room and/or personal space. in ideal situations i would recommend also warding your entire house, if possible, but i know that can be a bit difficult, especially if you use tools to help ward and you live with people who may not know you’re a spirit worker. i experience that particular problem myself, so i can relate. protections at the very least will ensure that if something goes wrong, you will remain safe.

now, on to the fun part: meeting a spirit!

spirits are easier to find than you think

something i didn’t realize when beginning spirit work is that spirits are all around us, all the time. that tree in your backyard? it most likely has a spirit. those crossroads where those two streets intersect by your house? spirits probably pass through there. that lake you might walk by once in a while? there are likely spirits that call that lake home. live in more of an urban environment? no worries- spirits live there too. spirits call many places home, and once you come to terms with this reality, everything will change for you, both in positive and negative ways. remember: spirit work is dangerous. but you know what else is dangerous? driving and swimming- two things that a lot of people do on a near daily basis. just as you learn the right precautions you need to take before you get behind the wheel or enter the water, you do the same before you get involved with spirits. but once you’re able to drive, or swim, or interact with spirits, and you do so safely, you will be opening yourself up to a world of opportunities and wonderful experiences, as well as danger. regardless of the outcomes, though, driving, swimming, and spirit work are all learning experiences. it’s appreciating your newfound experiences and everything that comes along with it, positive and negative, that’s key to making spirit work a really wonderful thing.

now, i often times see beginners discuss how they conjure spirits to meet them. while that practice is completely valid, i would not recommend it for a beginner for one simple reason: why put in all of that work when you have spirits around you already? i dunno about you, but i love being lazy. if there’s a short but efficient route i can take, i’ll take it, and reaching out to spirits that already exist around you is exactly that: short, sweet, and efficient. use the resources already at your disposal!

and so ultimately, my recommendation for a beginner spirit worker who wants to contact a spirit is to use proper protections, discernment, respect, and caution to introduce yourself to a spirit who already lives close by. now, if you’re asking yourself, “but what if i can’t feel spirits yet? how do i find one if i can’t sense them?”, then you’ll need to back up a tiny bit, but only for a moment.

recognizing what’s familiar so we can recognize what’s unfamiliar

i mentioned before that trees contain spirits. trees are old, hulking giants that have seen so many things. if possible, find a tree that you can sit under for a few hours, and make sure you bring a laptop or a notebook and pen. whether a spirit worker or not, lounging under trees is a common thing done by many people, and so you likely won’t be infringing on what the tree spirit considers its space, as it’s already something so frequently shared.

while there, relax and focus. it may take you a bit to find that sweet spot between comfortable and attentive, but take your time, be patient, and you’ll get there. while focusing (or meditating, if you’d like to slip into a deeper state of consciousness), sense what you feel around you. is there a breeze? how are you breathing? are you hungry? do you hear people talking? are there cars driving by? focus on each external force that is acting in and around you. once you recognize each one of these distractions, mentally label it, and then let it go. visualization here can help. for me, i mentally picture myself writing “cars”, “talking”, or “stomach growling” on a little paper boat and sending it down a river. be creative, and imagine yourself acknowledging and then removing each one of these external forces acting around you.

these things will continue to happen around you, of course, but by acknowledging these distractions and then letting them go, you will begin to feel the silence underneath everything. it is in this silence we are able to sense spirits. often times people try to forcibly tune out the things happening around them in order to concentrate, but in doing so, they instead wind up harping on these things, stunting their ability to concentrate. but, if you recognize each potential distraction and then let it slip away from your attention, you will feel less inclined to focus on it. in doing this, we get one step closer to putting all of our attention on sensing spirits.

as we understand and recognize the energies and distractions that come from the mundane world around us, including the energies and distractions that come from ourselves, we will begin to pick up on energies we are unfamiliar with. often times, these unfamiliar energies are spirits whose vibrations and energies we have tapped into after we recognize, understand, and discard the familiar energies around us.

starting small (or large): listening to trees

as your focus turns its back on those distractions, you are able to place your attention elsewhere- in this case, on spirits. as you sit under that tree, begin to focus on what energies the tree is giving off. do you see colors? do you hear the impressions of a voice? or maybe you are experiencing feelings that you know are not your own because, as stated above, you recognized how you are feeling and know what to expect from yourself. any energies, feelings, colors, sounds, etc, that you experience while focusing on that tree can be the tree’s spirit communicating with you, with other trees around it, or with itself. but regardless who that info is meant to be going to, it is still information coming from the tree’s spirit. if possible, write down any and all sensations and experiences you receive from that tree. then, using proper discernment in the form of meditation or divination tools, for example, reflect back on what you experienced. then, repeat this process. go back to the tree some time later, focus on it, and see what information you receive then. crosscheck your experiences with your previous ones, and even do a little research. what else do other people experience when they hang out with a tree spirit?

from there, as you get more and more comfortable with the methods you use to pick up on this tree spirit, move onto different spirits. as you practice, you may not need to sit down and meditate to find a spirit. over time, you may be able to pick up on those unfamiliar energies while you’re out and about, and in doing so, you may find a spirit that lives in a store you frequently go to, for example, without having to sit down and meditate on it.

if my tree method does not work for you because of your living environment, don’t worry. are there flowers outside? can you afford a potted plant, maybe? do you live by a beach? do you own crystals? all of these things, and all of these locations will contain spirits that may be willing to share info with you. the reason i recommend starting with a tree or other plants is because they tend to be easy to work with, and often times far less malicious than other spirits you may come across. but don’t be fooled! plant and tree spirits have their own personalities. you may find one that’s a bit snippy or grumpy. don’t always expect that a little flower will be kind!

now, that is just one recommendation i can give, which i personally find is the best one. but! other people will likely give you very different answers!

what about spirit shops?

do you feel comfortable purchasing from a conjurer? then maybe you can try out a spirit shop. if you find a shop, i highly recommend reading reviews and see how the shop treat their spirits. do they create listings that read like items that are being sold? or do their listings read like profiles for living entities who are autonomous and have their own wants/needs/desires, and are fully in control of the companion they will be going home to? as well, see if you can find how much experience the shop owners/conjurers have. in my experience, all reputable shops should have a detailed “about” page that explains the full extent of that shop owners experience. and finally, trust your gut. how you feel when looking through someone’s shop is key to determining if you’d like to work with them. you’ll be contacting and bringing home a friend who should 1) want to be in that shop and 2) want to go with you. in my opinion, if you sense any red flags, then stay the hell away.

what about conjuring?

and lastly, there’s the conjuring option. this i just… don’t recommend, personally. spirit work is risky in every way, shape, and form, but when you conjure, you have no idea who will show up, especially if you’re a beginner.

in conclusion…

the choice is up to you. how do you feel you’d best experience spirit work as a beginner? do you feel safe going outside and trying to commune with a spirit? would you rather have someone from a shop pair you up with a spirit? or maybe you think you’ll have a knack for conjuring! ultimately the decision is yours. i do hope i was able to provide some info to help guide you along the way, though!

well anon, i wish the best of luck to you! if you have any questions or comments for me, please feel free to drop by!
