full figure bloggers

So if you know me at all, you know how personal I consider blogging. I think of this as my outlet and a way to be more accepting of myself. I mentioned in a pervious post that in the past, I have struggled with wearing two pieces. But enough is enough. I am 27, and this is my body, bumps, lumps, curves and all.  This summer I decided to break out of my zone and in doing so, I have realized there are some great bikinis resources out there for plus size women.

The bikini top I am wearing here is Raisins Curve, via Dillard’s, and I love it. The caged, high neck is definitely racier than what I would normally wear, but it’s is still comfy and supportive. If I could change one thing about the Raisins line, it would be to make the bottoms a true high waist. I am a size 22, I have a stomach. I want something with a little more coverage than the bottoms offered, so I went with a pant from Lane Bryant.

Hola Amigas! I’m back from the BEST VACATION EVER and wanted to share a little of my vacation style with you guys. Of course some (most) days were lazier than others — in which case I swapped heels and beach waves for flip flops and trashy wet hair. For more vacation pics visit my IG (iambeauticurve).

Dear Diary,

Can I just say I’m really over the winter BUT in the meantime I’ll make it as fun as possible LOL.

My love for all things for Vintage is almost obsessive especially coats. So when I saw this canary yellow cape I absolutely had to have it! Like HAD TO HAVE IT….

Capes have made such a comeback ever since thee infamous “Olivia Pope” has worn quite a few on Scandal… So I had been on the hunt for a nice cape that was a great color and can be worn through most seasons. Etsy boutique -Washington Ave had this canary yellow cape and I didnt even give it any thought I wanted it so I bought it.

Here I styled it with orange stud earrings, leopard booties that has a cobalt blue tip, and a Gold ring. I really didn’t want to overpower the cape I wanted that to be the statement piece!

Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I love it. Be on the lookout for the Valentines Lookout

Dear Diary,

Finally the weather has started to break in my area! It’s still very gloomy some days just patiently waiting on the sun to shine permanently LOL. So with that being said yesterday I wanted to wear Black but not make it look so depressing. I wanted to wear something girly but with an edge to it. so I paired a Wine colored midi scuba skirt from Asos with a black and white polka dot basic tee that I purchased from forever 21 a while ago. To give it an edgy look I paired the skirt and shirt with a black leather bomber that I purchased from Forevr21 as well. To give it some sort of “glam” I decided to go with a gold crystal necklace and bracelet , a gold plate belt and a gold clutch. Let me tell you everything came together PERFECTLY!!! I loved it some would say it’s dark for the spring but every now and then you just have to wear something dark. Yesterday was that day for me.

As always embrace and flaunt your curves

Dear Dairy,

Friday I went to support my friend Lotan Floyd at his cd release concert “The Art Of Music” which is available on ITunes. However I wanted to mindful of where I was at considering that this event was at a church, so I decided to wear a dress.

I saw this particular dress on PassionJonesz YouTube channel and knew I had to have it! I purchased it from Monifc in a size 1x. I bought the snake print version with a particular vision of how I wanted to style it. It features side ruching to give those who aren’t curvy it gives them some shape in the waist. It has an asymmetrical high low hem which is amazing.

I decided to style it with a high bun. I wore a black and gold necklace that I purchased from Charlotte Russe as a headpiece, a simple gold bracelet, and stud pearl earrings. The dress comes with a bold gold plated belt so I didn’t take it off because it truly adds to the dress. Completed the look with my black bow pumps from shoe dazzle and my vision came to life!
