Locust Pose is amazing for banishing back bulge, while strengthening the muscles on your midback that help improve your posture:

  • Lie on your belly with your legs together. Place your arms by your sides so your palms are facing up.
  • As you inhale, lift your legs, head, and upper body off the floor. Your hands remain on the floor for support. As you breathe, extend the crown of your head away from your toes, lengthening as much as you can through your spine.
  • Stay for five breaths and then release back to the mat.


As long as I can remember, I’ve always had problems with photos. I’d rather be the person behind the camera rather than in front of it. I never had confidence in myself. I was overweight, among many other issues that I saw every time I looked in the mirror. I couldn’t really talk to people, I was extremely shy. I started biking more and I’ve lost over 50 pounds, changed my look a little. This is me now, I’m still not really happy with myself, but I’m happy with some of the changes I’ve made. I can look at myself in the mirror and know that I’m making some progress.
