DEAR FOREIGNERS - FROM A NEW ZEALANDER

Okay, I want to make something very clear.

THIS IS NOT A KIWI.

IT IS A KIWI FRUIT!!!!

I am saying this because when foreigners say “I’m eating a kiwi.” It literally sounds to people in my country like you are eating one of these, a kiwi. And The Kiwi are an endangered bird in our country.

Also! Us New Zealander’s are referred as Kiwis also.

So to us when you say “I’m going to eat a kiwi” We legit think at first that

1) “You’re a sick cunt and are going to eat our native bird that is endangered”

 2) “You’re a cannibal.”

2015 Astrolabe Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Oh hello. Just enjoying some New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh, juicy green pepper on the nose with kiwi (the fruit, not to be confused with the bird or the people from New Zealand… I think), and mixed tropicals like papaya and guava. Meyer lemon on the palate with more tropical fruit and green pepper. Comes in rather sweet but is balanced out with the acidity from the Meyer lemon notes. Let’s see if this gets cloying over time or not.
