fruits and veggies what

Today’s breakfast, lunch and dinner :)
Whole grain/peanut flour pancakes with fresh fruit, warm raspberries and white almond butter. Red lentil stew with veggies (and a ton of nutritional yeast). Buddha bowls with baby spinach, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, kidney bean balls, quinoa and avocado-bean dip. Everything was super delicious!

Okay, I'm looking to get a cockatiel. I've been looking into them for WEEKS now, but I still feel unprepared, and I really want to get some actual first-hand knowledge from a person. I'm really not sure what to ask specifically! ^^; Any tips you'd give me, this being my second bird--after a budgie--and my first cockatiel? (Any knowledge at all would be helpful! from recommended cage size to what might be a good healthy diet!~) Please and thank you~~

hey darling!!! god sorry its taken me forty years to get to my ask, i’ve been so swamped at work IT SUCKS

THIS IS GONNA BE LONG

OKAY, HERE IS THE INFO I CAN GIVE YA FOR A COCKATIEL:

1) ALWAYS ADOPT. i know you see that cute birbo in the pet store window, but please, PLEASE, refrain from purchasing him.  there are currently THOUSANDS of homeless birds in north america alone that need you to be their guardian. i know you want to save that baby from the pet store, but doing so continues the cycle.  they’ll just replace him and the horror continues.

2) GET THE BIGGEST CAGE YOU CAN AFFORD! do not listen to what the pet store clerk says (lol i worked in a pet store and straight up i would discourage people from birds EVERYDAY and tell them to rescue and that none of our cages are big enough, and they listened and adopted and im surprised the boss didn’t find out and fire me HAHAHHA) i would go to a bird specialty store to find your cage - you want to make sure it is durable enough, the bar spacing is correct (for a cockatiel you want them no more than half an inch space, theyre little and you dont want them to get stuck!!) i suggest powder coated cages, they’re easiest to clean the poop out of!!!!

3) GOOD DIET IS SO IMPORTANT. STAY AWAY FROM SEED!!!! seed despite popular belief is not very good for them.  it causes fatty liver disease and can make them ill and shorten their lifespan. (rose is now put on milk thistle-it buffersthe liver, as from the shit sanctuary she was from… god knows what she ate so now im in the process of getting her liver spiffy clean!) a good PELLET DIET is SO, SO SO SO IMPORTANT. and dont be discouraged, it is very hard to change a birb from seed diet to pellet.  so you have to change it over gradually and honestly, it can take a year to get that done.  rose is picky as hell, but i found a pellet she likes which are the Zupreem fruit pellets.  they’re not the healthiest, but they’ll do as now she is eating by herself.  i used to have to hand feed her ALL THE TIME like the diva she is.

Here is a list of good pellets!! (from best to ok)

- Goldenfeast Goldenobles (quinoa based instead of corn, i wanna change rose to this when she’s ready!!)

- Harrisons Fine High Potency (start with high potency and then go to adult formula - gives em the nutrients they need for switching. corn based, and not my fav but it is vet reccommended but id say goldenfeast is better as corn aint that great)

- Pretty Bird (fruity and like, kinda okay? its better than zupreem lmfao but its very sweet, and makes their poo colourful)

- Zupreem (available at most pet stores, comes in fruit, veggie, nut, and natural flavours. what Rose eats and its a pretty good food. i believe its corn and soy based, not the best, and there is sugar in it, but its a good starter for your bird as they will most likely eat it because its colourful and sweet!!! from having Rose on a pellet diet - her plumage looks AMAZING)

all those brands come in different size pellets, i would go with the SMALLEST as it is easier for them to eat, and if you mix it with seed it kinda blends in hehe

4) DON’T JUST FEED PELLETS. A birbos diet should be 80% pellets (give or take) and 20% fruits, veggies, grains, and good stuff!!!! making a chop is a good idea, and you can freeze it and take out some everyday for their breakfast/dinner!!! Rose is very picky, and a rescue may be too, but do some research on what good fresh foods are good for birds!!! rose’s fav are zuchinni, peppers, pasta, scrambled egg (shes obsessed with egg) and chinese snow pear!!!

5) LOTS OF TOYS, AND THINGS TO DO!!! PIMP out their cage with dope toys, various perches and material (AVOID SAND ONES, HURTS THEIR TOES. get natural wood, rope (if u know they wont shred and accidentally eat it) and various thicknesses!!!) and im not saying spend a fortune (whcih i have with rose omfg) undyed popsicle sticks are amazing, paper, toilet paper rolls, cardboard etc they LOVE. but also, a good store bought toy is nice too!!! but most you can make from home!! plus i have a store where i have handmade toys, ill be posting more selection too!!

6) BE PATIENT WITH THE BABY! they most likely won’t warm up to you RIGHT AWAY (i mean they might, depends on their personality!) so do not feel discouraged if they dont want to play or cuddle right away. and heck, they may not even like cuddles. they’re as much as individuals as we are as humans. rose is usually attached to my shoulder all day, but some days honestly she just plays by herself and doesn’t want me to play with her HAHAHA. when you bring them home, introduce them to their cage and let them hang inside and get used to it.  sit near them and chat and offer some millet and let them come to you.  its a whole new world for them, so allow them some time!!!

7) and the most controversial topic… TO CLIP OR NOT TO CLIP? okay, my two cents on clipping goes as written.  if it is safer for them in your house, please get their wings properly by an avian vet or an experienced staff memeber at a bird specialty store. clipping them incorrectly can cause balance issues and confidence issues and trust issues. NEVER CLIP THEM YOURSELF AS THEIR OWNER. THEYLL BE PISSED AF. and most likely scared of you. if your house is unsafe -ie people coming in and out, small space, lots of windows, forgetful people that leave windows open, PLEASE CLIP THEM. it will save their life and prevent any deadly accidents.

if you HAVE THE SPACE. and know that they will be safe, and you believe they will be okay, leave them flighted!! it is much easier i must say having smaller birds flighted as they won’t be as cramped in a house as a big bird would be.  Rose is flightless as she chews her flight feathers, but they are growing back.  and even if they all did, my place is way to small to allow her to fly properly so i would keep her clipped for her safety.  also, if there was an emergency - such as a fire - it is much easier to evacuate a flightless bird than a flighted one.  i have really bad ocd when it comes to impulsive thinking and i obsess over how i would get rose out in a fire all the time… so keep a pillow case by the cage, and if god forbid that happened, grab your baby, toss em in the pillow case (protects them from smoke inhalation) AND HIGH TALE THEE FUCK OUT OF THERE. and that would be easier if they are clipped… just food for thought.

anyway i hope this helped you and others maybe too!! im sorry this took forever to get to, my lifes been insane.  please do TONS OF RESEARCH TOO and look into rescues. if you need any more help let me know my love <3

A Beginner's Guide to Detoxing

For tmphenomenon:

I was looking forward to writing this for you because I love seeing young, black people do things to better their overall health (so we can be fine and sexy forever and slay into eternity, Amen). ALSO, ‘CAUSE, YOU’RE FAM FOR LIFE!!!

Why people detox:

When we enjoy delicious ass shit from our affordable fast food restaurants, we are destroying our body. Most of the time, the food we eat has been fried, dyed, processed, “enriched,” packaged, repackaged, and distributed, so by the time it gets to us it’s not really even food, though it tastes fucking amazing. It really messes with our internal health and perspective, clouding our judgment and fucking up our life. The healthier you eat and drink in general, the more clarity you have.

To combat the nasties, your body needs mini-cleanses every now and then so your digestive system can properly eliminate the bad, allowing for the absorption of good vitamins and nutrients we actually need. This strengthens your immune system and cleanses the blood. It also helps to block certain negative creepy crawlies that try to infect our cells.

The body eliminates toxins via the kidneys, intestines, lungs, skin, and lymph nodes, but most of the time it’s using all of its energy to break down everything we eat. Therefore, the toxins just float around and wreck havoc because the body ain’t got time to kick them out.

Buckle, up! Here we go!

BODY

Food + drinks:

1. Lots of liquids- this flushes out all the bad stuff. It’s good that you already drink lots of water, but we need to kick that up a notch with herbs that will help cleanse your liver and colon, bettering your overall digestive health. I, of course, being a ratchet hippie, recommend tea.

 a) infuse water overnight (slices of cucumber or lemon in a bottle). See tumblr for the chart of when is best to drink water for the most benefits + recipes at bottom.

b) green tea or herbal tea, start off with green +honey then work your way up

c) juice! -fresh, not-from-concentrate, not- bullshit into thinking it’s healthy

You don’t even need a juicer, honestly. pour some water in a blender and spinach in there. BOOM. juice.

2. Fresh fruits and veggies (it’s cheaper to do this in smoothie-form). Big bags of spinach, bananas, and whatever fruit you blended up in a cheap blender (I got my from Wal-Mart for $15 and found another one at Goodwill for 3).

3. Fiber: This will help your body get rid of the toxins easier. I recommend eating at least one of the following ever day: brown rice, sprouted bread (NOTHING “enriched,” that just means bleached to look pretty -__-), cabbage, broccoli, spirulina, chlorella, etc. Fruits and veggies have an ass of fiber, so if you’re already eating those, you’re good.*

*If you don’t want to do the actual work, I recommend Bolthouse farms green juices. They taste good, have no preservatives, and are like 2.35 for 8 servings at Aldi. If y'all don’t have Aldi, I’ll get you some. Also, a lot of people mix these with water to stretch them, but also to make sure your body isn’t overwhelmed.

4. Take some type of vitamin. When I was drunk I ranted about “eating the rainbow,” because different colors correspond to different essential nutrients we need to survive the human experience. These colors also correspond to the 7 chakras. If you’re eating right, it balances other aspects of your life as well. Most of the time ain’t nobody got money or time for that, so buy a cheap one-a-day multivitamin so you won’t shock your body during detox.

What do the colors of fruits and veggies mean? (pic via @catasana)

Blue/purple= high antioxidant + balance bood pressure

Green= remove toxins and carcinogens, also sources of vitamin K, folic acid, omega 3 fatty acids

Yellow= Lutein (good for eyes), healthy fats, pretty skin

Red= powerful antioxidants

Orange= vitamins A +C

Tans/weird beiges–usually high fiber content

5. Healthy fats- Depending on how long you want to detox, you’ll need to reintroduce heavier foods into your diet, after mostly eating fruits, vegetables, seeds, etc., so you won’t shock your body when you eat a piece of pizza

Try: Salmon, avocados, walnuts, etc.

6. Simply substitute slowly (alliteration for that ass!) Going cold turkey will make you miserable. Instead of french fries, get sweet potato fries. Instead of ranch dressing, get Italian or something oil/vinegar based. Instead of iceberg lettuce (which is honestly trash, and I would slap the fuck out of anyone who tried to serve it to me), get romaine.

1 month detox:

First week: just drink one green smoothie/drink/tea (or eat your fill of fruit) every morning and don’t change anything else. Soon your body will start to crave whatever is in your smoothie.

You can also alternate between a green smoothie, a scrambled egg on toast w/ avocado, or BOTH. Whatever else you want that’s not like… frosted flakes you can pretty much have. You just want you body to get into a routine. Avoid heavy, delicious foods like pancakes, pasta (anything wheat-based. we’re prepping your digestive system) and no candy +sugar.

Second week: Make your breakfast AND lunch “green.” Have a big ass salad or lots of vegetables with a side of sweet potatoes or something. NO CHEESE (feta/goat cheese is okay though–easier for body to digest and less allergenic). We’re not even supposed to have dairy products, because it doesn’t agree with our systems at all, plus it’s gross (but so delicious).

I tell non-vegetarians that it’s okay to have chicken and lighter choices, but stay away from beef and dairy products. Listen to your body. Once it’s detoxing, you’ll start to crave everything you DON’T need to have. Especially sugar. Pretty much any fast food we eat is jacked up on sucrose.

The first 2-3 days you might feel super crappy because your body is ridding yourself of toxins, but  once you get past that you’ll have an unusual amount of energy.

Third week: If you made it past the cravings hurdle, up the ante. Have a green juice before bed as well as in the morning. Stick with your one green meal for lunch or dinner. It is important that you eat enough, otherwise you will feel weak. Plants and herbs give you a lot of energy but you need to EAT them and drink them. We feel full after eating a burger but lethargic the next day because we just poisoned our body. We feel awesome after having a big ole salad because we basically just ate direct sun energy.

Last week: Listen to your body. The first time I did any kind of detox, I was so eager to stick to a plan, but every plan doesn’t work for everybody. Your body will tell you what it needs and by this time you’ll know what it is you’re supposed to be eating and drinking. It takes 21 days to break a habit (I don’t know if this is true, but let’s go with that).

Also, your body might not need a full month, and it might need longer than a month. You can tell how you’re doing by your energy level, whether or not you had a detox reaction (the feeling crappy, almost flu-like), and if you’re shitting regularly.

Common types of detoxes:

Some people detox for weight loss, health issues, or just want to give their bodies a break. From what I’ve experienced, here are the most popular types:

1) Strictly juicing/liquids: unfeasible for you because you’re on your feet all day or using your energy on snapchat. The longest I’ve seen someone do a juice cleanse is for 41 days, but usually they’re 3-5, just to give your body a break)

2) All green- basically, no animal products and not a lot of processed food. Plant-based/(80/20 raw/cooked) are common forms. If you eat pasta/fries/pizza, you make it yourself and know all the ingredients going into it. Be cheap and buy frozen fruits and vegetables and make stir fry. Whatever you want to learn how to make, check out organigasm’s instagram and I’ll send you the recipe. It doesn’t have to be flavorless and fucking boring to be healthy.

3) Paleo- Yes: Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Nuts & Seeds, Healthy Fats, Lean Meat. No: Dairy, Grains, Processed Food, Processed Sugar, Legumes, Starches, Alcohol. Honestly, I think this diet is a fad that comes up with different names every few decades. Seriously, a bunch of rich people use this to diet or have “healthy lifestyles,” but thousands upon thousands of families don’t have access to these types of foods. I digress.

MIND:

1. Set your intentions when you wake up in the morning. Example: “Today, will be fan-fucking-tastic,” or you can thank the creator or thank your body for helping you out with your shenanigans. Keep it to yourself, write it down, shout it out, whatever. You need to start your day with positive thoughts to ensure you have the willpower to make it. You will crave everything you DO NOT need.

2. Work-out at least 30 minutes a day, and if you can’t do that, try 3/7 times a week. Start somewhere. Dance it out when you get out of the shower, walk down the street at a fast pace–whatever, again, just get moving.

3. For strength of body and mind, I recommend yoga, and I hope your stubborn ass considers it (it also makes for fun sex, I’m just saying).

Here’s a link to good poses for detoxing: http://bodyunburdened.com/yoga-for-detox-10-poses-that-promote-cleansing/ + youtube and netflix have free videos FOR NOOBZ!#@

4. Before you go to bed, clear all the negative energy you can. I’m not gonna get into all the stuff, but like when you woke up, write it down, draw it out, etc.

Doing this throughout the detox will allow you to clear your mind and determine what works for you during this new journey!

5. Get enough sleep–This is a tough one, but while you’re sleeping your body does the most incredible things. Seriously, you will thank yourself. Even if you only get 4 hours of sleep, getting 15 extra minutes, then gradually increasing REALLY helps.

Final tips:

1. eat your biggest meal at lunchtime (your metabolism is peaking from about 12pm-8pm)

2. SLEEP. Seriously. Your body is healing you. Let it help.

3. I will help you meal prep, but frozen vegetables + canned beans, packaged nuts keep the costs of detoxing low. Also, farmer’s have good ass prices. Take a fine honey on a date to the farmer’s market and cook a sexy meal afterwards.

4. Try new things. Seriously. You can’t eat a cucumber and an apple every day and expect magic to happen.

5. Don’t overcook anything. Leave that broccoli a little crunchy. Don’t kill the nutrients, bro.

6. cheat! allow yourself one day during the first two weeks to cheat on your detox, or whenever you fucking feel like. you deserve rounds… of krispy kreme donuts. TREAT. YO. SELF.

7. Don’t count calories, or carbs, or whatever the fuck the newest pyramid says to do.

Good Water Infusion Combos:

1. lemon/lime +mint + honey

2. strawberries, blueberries

3. pineapple + basil

4. grapefruit/orange

5. mango + peaches

6. apple+ cinnamon + honey

Final thoughts: Really, once you get used to it, you’re always detoxing. Even drinking a cup of tea a day and still eating like shit is better than nothing.  Just be kind to yourself. It’s a process, and I’m still learning, but I get better every day. Good luck! I’m always here to help.

Now, let’s go detox, y'all.

✌️

eating habits of the fahc

- the penthouse is always just full of random shit to eat, but they also used to keep body parts in the freezer as well (until geoff finally bought another freezer). jeremy was left traumatized once when he tried to make breakfast sausages but instead of grabbing sausages out of the freezer he grabbed actual human fingers– he was more surprised at the mix up, not at the fact that there was an actual human body part in the freezer

- jack makes sure to buy an entire array of everything– fruits, meats, seafood, veggies, the whole nine yards

- she is the only one that eats the fruits and veggies, and probably the only one that eats what normal people should. she always makes sure to get three meals a day, relatively balanced, though she is a slut for angel food cake and none of it is safe around her

- geoff is very much a Dad-esque Eater. like, he grabs a fucking giant sandwich at lunch, eats whatever is made for breakfast, and only eats dinner if it interests him (aka, anything made by jack or himself)

- michael is pure junk food and soda. his blood is pretty much mountain dew at this point. jack tries to make him eat healthy but all the items he’ll ever eat can all be found in a convenience store. he can make basic stuff (pancakes and whatnot) but just chooses not to. jack’s just thankful he at least has a schedule

- gavin doesn’t eat a whole lot and not particularly because he chooses so, but because he is the pickiest eater in the entire fucking world. he eats only the fanciest cuisine simply because “That’s just my taste!”. his tea MUST be imported from that small local tea store in his home town and his chocolate MUST be imported directly from that one store he went to one time in switzerland that also serves the french minister and it MUST

- ryan claims he eats enough and eats well, but unless he’s got a mini fridge in his room (how would he have room between all the weapons and plants?) or goes out to eat ever day (at this point? it’s a possibility) there is no fucking way, says jack. a month went by where the only thing she had seen him eat was an entire bag of doritos, once, at three a.m., and seven cans of diet coke in one day. she has no idea how he functions at any point in time.

- jeremy ranges from “listen guys i’m trying to diet and eat well okay i’m just gonna have a sandwich instead of this pizza okay” to “how many cans of pringles do i need to eat in order to build a fort in the living room? 50? well, start crackin them open i suppose”

- trevor tries. he tries so hard whenever he goes to the penthouse– should we do a dinner?? let’s go out to eat!! pleaes i’m begging you there’s lettuce here, it’s going to go stale– but at this point the mold is set and everyone except jack and geoff are fucked

anonymous asked:

Maybe rfa reacting to Mc talking to herself?? Like late at night? If that's doable ^^

Hello there! Thank you for the request! You did not deserve to wait this long though >.<

Yoosung

  • He would find you in the kitchen late at night getting a snack
  • You were talking to yourself about what would taste better on ice cream as you look in the cabinet
  • He rested on the wall and watched you
  • Than you asked yourself whether baking soda or baking powder reacted with vinegar
  • “What the hell is vinegar made out of?”
  • He snickered and blew his cover
  • “Hey you’re up. You want some ice cream?” you asked.
  • He smiled and walked over. “Sounds good.”
  • Not wanting to make you feel self-conscious he didn’t mention about you talking to yourself
  • He thought it was really cute how random and honest your thoughts were
  • “Hey,” you asked passing the chocolate syrup.
  • “Yeah?”
  • “Do you know what vinegar is made of?”
  • He started to chuckle again.
  • “What?” you asked confused.
  • “Geez, I love you so much,” the smile stuck as he pecked you on the lips.
  • “That doesn’t explain any of my questions!”

Zen

  • He was getting ready for bed when he heard you say something from the bathroom.
  • “Babe?” he called. “Were you talking to me?”
  • No response but he could still hear your voice.
  • He walked over to the closed bathroom door and listened for any queue that you were on the phone or calling him.
  • “—there’s the grocery store after work. We’re talking fruit, we’re talking veggies, and mama needs some proteins.”
  • What the hell? He smirked. Was she talking about her shopping list?
  • “Oh god, I wonder if that cashier guy is there. He always stares at my chest.”
  • What?! This is the first he heard about that.
  • At this point Zen was eavesdropping but he couldn’t stop now.
  • “But if I go to the other one it’s like fifteen minutes more and Lord knows I ain’t got time for that.”
  • The sink turned on for a few seconds.
  • “I wonder if Zen’s in bed yet…”
  • The door opened to reveal Zen pressed up against it.
  • “What are you doing?”
  • He straightened up. “I thought you called me but I guess you were on the phone?”
  • “Oh , I was just talking to myself.”
  • “You do that too?” Zen asked.
  • “So you don’t think it’s weird?” You asked.
  • “No way,” he smiled. “I thought you would think it was unattractive so I tried to hide it.”
  • You had to smile back. “I’ve caught you doing it a few times and thought it was so great. Your especially handsome when you model in the mirror and talk to yourself,” you giggled at the memory.
  • His happiness overflowed as he hugged you tight and swung you around. Placing kisses all over your face as you laughed.

Jaehee

  • She woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom but found that you weren’t in bed.
  • But she could hear your voice clearly and followed the sound.
  • She found you sitting at the kitchen table staring at your laptop and…talking to it?
  • “Look, it’s not you. You’re great and you’ve been with me since the beginning.”
  • Was she Skyping with someone?
  • She continued to talk but Jaehee didn’t hear a voice talk back.
  • “I mean do you think I want you to die? No! I don’t! But it’s the only thing that would make sense.”
  • What was going on?
  • Jaehee stepped closer. “Hey, is everything ok?”
  • You put a hand over your heart. “You scared me.”
  • “I was just making sure everything was ok since you weren’t in bed.”
  • “Yeah, sorry. I just woke up and had this sudden inspiration to write.”
  • Oh, you were talking about the new book you were writing.
  • “So the dying part?” she inquired.
  • You sighed. “My main characters best friend Lin. It only makes sense to have him sacrifice himself for his friend for the plot but I can’t seem to let him go so easily.”
  • Jaehee didn’t quite understand but patted you on the shoulder. “I’m sure everything will be ok.”
  • It was the best she had.
  • You nodded. “I’ll take a break for tonight. Thanks baby.”
  • Jaehee had never seen someone talk aloud like that so passionately to themselves, or an imaginary character at that.
  • She decided maybe it was something writers did and maybe it was best not to interrupt them.

Jumin

  • He finished work late in his study and headed to bed.
  • Only to find that you were also up late and talking to yourself?
  • “And what was her response?”
  • You put a hand on your hip and waved your other hand around, imitating someone you knew with a high pitch voice.
  • Oh sweetheart, the clocks ticking. You better get married so your mother can have grandchildren, poor dear.
  • You threw a pillow on the bed. “Cry me a river and drown in it you old hag.”
  • You paused. “Damn, I should have told her that too.”
  • “Agreed,” Jumin commented.
  • You turned around. “You and Elizabeth have got to stop walking so lightly. It’s not good for my heart.”
  • He smirked. “Do you often talk to yourself?”
  • You weren’t expecting that. “Well yeah, most people do.”
  • “Really?”
  • “Wait, have you never talked to yourself out loud?”
  • “No, it seemed odd when I could just organize my thoughts.”
  • “People talk out loud to do that too. Sometimes it’s easier to think when you hear the words leave your mouth. Plus if it’s too quiet it helps to talk out loud or do your own private comedy show to express how you’re feeling.”
  • He seemed thoughtful about it. “That seems rational.”
  • “Give it a try once in a while. Let’s practice, even though I’m here, just blurt out whatever you’re thinking to yourself.”
  • Jumin thought about what he had been thinking but the pause got him scolded.
  • “Eh! Just talk out what you’re thinking.”
  • “Ok, well I was thinking that this was a strange way of expression…”
  • “Aha?” you said expectantly.
  • “But you are very sexy when you get riled up.”
  • “Oh…well than,” you swallowed.
  • He got closer. “The way you get flustered when I merely compliment you gets me excited.”
  • “I think that’s enough practice,” you say not being able take his unwavering gaze and honesty.
  • His hands wrapped around your waist to keep you close. “I think I prefer to share my thoughts out loud with you rather then myself.”
  • You tilted your chin up, “Is that so?”
  • “Mhm,” he hummed as he closed in for a passionate kiss.

Saeyoung

  • He checked on you every once in a while through the security camera.
  • He tried to distance himself but all he did was wonder what you were up to.
  • How you were feeling…
  • At that thought he checked the camera and saw your hands being thrown in the air dramatically.
  • He tuned in and turned up the volume to make sure everything was ok.
  • “Can’t I at least get an answer to my questions,” you say putting away groceries.
  • “Honestly why do I have to like him. Sometimes I want to throw this phone right out the window.”
  • The bread was tossed onto the counter.
  • Saeyoung waited anxiously for the who. Was it him? Had she listened to him and found someone else?
  • “If you think you’re all that and a bag of Honey Buddah chips, 707, you got another thing coming!”
  • He smirked.
  • There was some sort of relief knowing that MC hadn’t changed their mind after all.
  • “You let me in, you kick me out. Let me in, kick me out. In, out, in, out.”
  • Yeah MC was still mad at him for sure.
  • You paused holding a bag of chips. “But I’ll be damned if I’ll give up. You hear that Mr. Acts-like-he-has no-feelings!  Challenge accepted!”
  • He chuckled and sat back in his chair. Even when MC talked to themselves it was honest.
  • Maybe that’s why he caught himself telling them feelings he thought he had locked up long ago.
  • It’s not like he could stop MC from fighting.
  • Plus he did like a challenge after all.
  • It was a question of whether he would come to regret it or not.

Listen to your body

Listening to your body means understanding what IT needs in the moment, not just what you WANT. It means eating some fruits and veggies when it’s begging for nutrients, and getting in some physical activity when you’ve been sedentary and sluggish for too long. BUT it also means taking a rest when your body is going into overdrive, and understanding when your body is feeling good and healthy rather than torturing yourself over a number on a scale.

[ 25 / 100 ] september 26th, 9:47 pm ;

- today marks a quarter into my 100 days of productivity !!! today i did some aphug work and some biology work. im currently making a grocery list, im excited to go bc ill be picking out things to make meals out of, like meats and veggies and fruits so im hype!! what’s a must ingredient in making dinners?

// listening to: coasts - come on over //

I think no matter what year it is we can all agree humans are weird AF.

Also I’m pretty sure if Aliens existed they’ve probably stayed away for the most part because  they’re mildly terrified of the species with self destructive tendencies.

I mean really would YOU want to associate with someone who’s rubbing deadly stuff on themselves for beauty or medical reasons. Who put themselves through pain for beauty (older corsets, contraptions that changed your nose before plastic surgery was around, and other various things meant to change the body)

We have people who purposely pierce things or add markings to their skin JUST BECAUSE.

Childbirth. There’s a person who carries a baby/babies around for up to 9 months. Then goes through a period of braxton hicks contractions then true labor to push a crying thing into the world risking tearing or bleeding in the process. Others go into freaking surgery, get cut open and have the baby removed. Just that’s fucking hardcore and many do it multiple times.

We have a tendency to eat things that could kill us. Doesn’t matter what you eat either. Fruits can kill you. Veggies can. Meat can. Sugary things can. Nuts can. Dairy can. ANY THING CAN KILL YOU IF YOU’RE NOT CAREFUL!

We humans can get unbelievable damage and somehow still function.  (to varying degrees obviously) I mean people have gotten things through the brain and while they weren’t FINE their brain rewired itself to function again even if not to “full capacity”

A decent few humans deal with their bodies doing things that hurt them, but still some how manage to human and do stuff? I mean some deal with mental illness, disability at birth, genetic illnesses, strokes, heart attacks, and lads of other things. But somehow there’s the human still humaning.

I mean REALLY wouldn’t that and more be startling.

fruits or veggies?

I’m sorry, this depends on too many variables. What time is it? What kind of fruits we talkin’? Are the veggies roasted? Are we going to classify the tomato according to the dictates of our reason or the protest of our hearts? This dichotomy is an artifice that fails to account for my humanity. I am large, I contain multitudes and most of them want an eclair.

pt. 2

Alex was so good with Rosie that you wanted to cry out of relief. You drove there while Alex sat with Rosie in the back since you didn’t have a car seat for her yet. The drive was short and Rosie was practically bouncing as she got out of the car. The whole way there, she was looking out the window with Alex showing her the little things he liked about New York. She was mesmerized by the neon lights of the grocery store that spelled out the store’s name.

You let her walk around, and found it sweet how she reached up for your hand as Alex got a shopping cart.

Food was easy. Mac and cheese, lots of fruits and veggies, fruit snacks, and peanut butter and jelly was what you associated with your childhood, so you figured Rosie would like the same. Minus the fruit and veggie part.

Hey I've seen a lot of trans guys asking you about losing weight through dieting to help get lessen the prominence of their hips etc and as someone who was raised constantly around fitness and healthy eating people who do a tonne of research into what they eat some of whom are professional nutritionists is it ok if I share some useful tips? 1) Eat less meat: I've seen a lot of people praise high protein diets in general but truth is they're not that useful except for building a tonne of (1/?)

(2/?) … muscle which can obviously be very useful for trans guys especially if you want broader shoulders but for getting slim isn’t always super useful. 2) Vegetarian food is better than you think: Recent studies have shown that a diet based more on plants than meat can help increase your metabolism which is obviously very useful for losing weight. Plus veggies and fruit are always good despite what you hear about them containing fats and sugars,…

(3/?)…obviously you don’t have to go full vegetarian if you don’t want to and in fact to start with I would actively recommend this as a lot of people don’t know how to supplement their diet correctly when they make the switch so just cut down on meat for now I’d say. Plus vegetarian food is really tasty if you think of it as just bring its own thing and not an imitation, I recommend trying Quorn products for beginners to it. 3) CARBS AREN’T YOUR ENEMY!: I cannot stress this one enough…

(4/?)… carbs are necessary for your body and don’t cause you to gain weight unless you eat an obscene amount of them. In fact you should be eating plenty of them to give your body enough fuel. Lots of carbs and veg are always a good thing to do. 4) Please don’t trust any diet that says “X food type is bad for you”: These diets are almost always unhealthy and destined to fail, your body needs a balance and most of them don’t provide it so trust me, they may promise immediate results but…

(5/?)…you should definitely steer well clear of them! 5) Fat, salt and sugar: These things have a love/hate relationship with the human body but as a general rule of thumb try to stick to a balanced if minimal amount and avoid processed stuff. 6) Fibre: Eat plenty of it whether it’s through your carbs or veg, it helps a lot with losing weight though again everything in moderation Finally 7) MODERATION: You’ll notice this is a key theme and for good reason, this shit be important…

(6/?)…and for good reason, like I mentioned before fad diets do more harm than good and don’t cause long term healthy change. Also along these lines is trying to know what works best with your body, these are all very general rules and your body’s needs will vary based on a multitude of things, I know it can be difficult to pay attention to what your body is feeling if you experience dysphoria but it can be really useful though don’t try and push yourself. Once again moderation and adapting to your body’s individual needs is important, it’s why some diets work better for some than others. Finally to any trans guys reading this you are loved, you are awesome and whether you’re dieting or not you all look super handsome today!…

(7/7) P.s: thank you to trans-guy-positive you’ve helped me a lot and I hope what I sent you can help some dysphoric dudes get on the path they want for their bodies x

How do I lose weight? Gotten so fat

get out in the sunshine, be active, dance, run, walk! smile & laugh! eat more fresh veggies & fruit… less sugar & processed food. do what you love. love yourself as you are, right here & right now. breathe deeply. relax. meditate. practice yoga. sweat daily. drink warm water with lemon in the mornings. do enemas (inform yourself first!). more green juices & smoothies & raw food :) drink more water!!!! do a juice cleanse! (but again, inform yourself & be mindful). be patient with yourself. be kind to yourself. ~ as for my personal experience, everytime i come to work in England i always end up craving sugar & binge eating a lot… this shows me that what my cravings are showing me are much deeper signs than what they seem. the sugar is the comfort & warmth… it’s the nourishing. the sweet in plants is like the nourishing mother. i see myself eating far more sugar when i am away from my friends & family… when i am in a stressful situation or working situation that requires high responsibilities & dedication. when i am missing warmth & love & being hugged & appreciated… this then translates into food cravings. it’s very clear to me. so try to trace back into the roots your cravings as well & transform them from the very roots… find different alternatives that you still love. for me for example, instead of having ice cream, i would have banana “nice” cream… instead of chocolate & cakes, i make cacao energy balls. instead of going directly to the sugar craving, having a nourishing wholesome meal instead. the lack of some nutrients make us crave sugar & such… if the nutrients are all provided, cravings are much less likely. anyways, i could ramble about this forever… hehe. infinite love x listen to your body! ❤✨
