So, newer ones! I check the AO3 Harry/Luna tag every now and then and there’s often a few new or updated fics, although a lot of them have Lunarry as a side pairing rather than a main one. But of the more recent ones my favourites are:
Loony by MiceAndIce - a few drabbles about Harry and Luna set after the war but pre epilogue. They kind of hover on the edge of platonic and romantic, but are very sweet.
And Pixie Dust by colazitron - Harry finds Luna after the battle. This is an adorable little snapshot that is complete fluff and spun sugar.
War Games by Emmeebee - Harry and Luna watch their sons playing in the back garden. Lovely little family drabble.
By the Light of the Night Rose by Alexannah - Harry and Luna have plans for Valentine’s day. Harry just doesn’t know it yet. I really love this fic; it’s a little bit cheesy but just so funny and quirky, and I think it does a really great job with Luna’s character.
Family Fireworks by Alisanne - Dudley and Harry run into each other on the street. Lunarry is a background thing is this, but it gives a glimpse of their family which is lovely. It’s also just a really well done and heartwarming fic.
Freedom by kalypsobean - Harry runs into Luna in the snow. Again kind of hovers on the line between romantic and platonic, but is very sweet.
Fortescue’s, or, What You Will by ms_worplesdon - a riff off Twelfth Night where Luna disguises herself as a boy and starts working for Harry. I’m not entirely convinced about the characterisation, it kind of flips between being brilliant and a bit off. But this is great fun and it did make me giggle. There is a non-explicit sex scene, fyi.
The way I interpreted Henry's "I knew it!" line was that he never wanted to believe Regina was responsible for Archie's death, even though all the evidence pointed to her. It was a classic case of "head vs. heart" and in this case, he was being told on all sides (and by the evidence itself) that Regina was guilty, yet in his heart he somehow still believed she was innocent. So, he accepted her as the murderer in his mind but couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't true.
Aha! There’s another good explanation that makes a LOT of sense. It’s hard for a child to process all of these different emotions vs. the actual facts. I mean, everyone has to admit, it looked real! If something like that were shown in an actual court, do you want to guess what the outcome would be? Anyways, that was a random tangent. I agree with you 100%. :)
There are a bunch of awesome, awesome people occupying little spots on my blog right now--big thanks for contributing to the Baby Ackles Gift! :D If you want to chip in to reach the goal, here's a thing!
Oh man, I could write pages and pages about Vegeta's growth as a character, all his nuances and flaws and how his journey from the beginning of the series to the end is basically what makes the series truly great and timeless for me. But, you know, whatever. (You are automatically 1000% more awesome for sticking up for DBZ btw. <3)
Vegeta is like… one of my main idols in childhood. That anti-heroic attitude, how much of a dick he was and how much he learnt from love. It’s amazing… For me, he is the main reason DBZ was / is / will-always-be this successful. Akira Toriyama knew Vegeta was loved, and he wrote the hell of a path for him. I’m glad, because he shown me a lot of good stuff because of that.
And thank you!! DB is one of my first fandoms ever, one of the first stories I loved… of course I will defend it xD!!!
Favorite character: Oh god, infinity-way tie here too. But probably Cas, the fish who learned poetry.
Least Favorite character: Becky. She was fun if only slightly annoying at first, but the wedding episode was downright creepy.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Dean/Cas, Meg/Cas, Sam/Amelia (sort of - more later), Jo/Anna, Bobby/Jody.
Character I find most attractive: Dean.
Character I would marry: Sam!
Character I would be best friends with: Garth.
a random thought: this fic remains my favorite in the fandom and I still want to scream recommendations for it from the mountaintops. Canon-ish AU, no ships, outsider POV, and that’s about all I can say without spoilers - the actual premise is more like a twist and I love it a lot.
An unpopular opinion: Naomi is awesome, and is shaping up to be one of the series’ most fascinating villains. (I could write so many metas about the “I fixed you!” line alone but sadly I am not that coherent.)
my canon OTP: Sam/Amelia. Not as a happy couple, though - as two broken people trying desperately to hold on to something and pretend it was love. I love that dynamic, and it was exactly what I saw in canon.
Non-canon OTP: Dean/Cas
most badass character: Bela. Or maybe Bobby. Or maybe Meg. Or maybe NOPE.
pairing I am not a fan of: Dean/John. (???? ??? ? ?? W H Y)
character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Belaaaaa. You did not deserve that fate.
favourite friendship: Dean and Charlie. Dorky bros 4 lyfe
character I want to adopt or be adopted by: Bobby (both. Death’s Door was such a painful episode i s2g)
