On Friday, March 13th Princess Marie visited the Danish Emergency Management Agency. Dressed in the prescribed uniform, Marie was introduced to new high tech drones that are used to create an overview over disaster zones by flying over the affected area.
Princess Marie also got to try her hand at flying one of the drones herself and it looked like she was doing a great job.
During her visit, the Princess also spoke to members of staff and met the agency’s fearless track dogs who are trained to located people that are trapped underneath collapsed building following earthquakes or the like. Marie then met members of the agency’s chemical division and learned how to analyse hazardous chemicals.
