“If you’ve ever taken a road trip through the Pacific North West, you’ve probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It’s not on any maps and most people never heard of it. Some people think it’s a myth. But if you’re curious, don’t wait. Take a trip. Find it. It’s out there somewhere in the woods. Waiting."
After nearly two months of working on it, between the filming or the props, we’re now happy to show you our new cmv! It’s been a huge adventure and a lot of work but we love this show SO MUCH we wanted to pay a tribute to it. We also took this opportunity to work with a lot of our friends and we had the most wonderful time doing so.
We hope you’ll like it! (and again thank you everyone for the feedbacks on our previous GF video, LA Devotee, you guys are so awesome ;w;)
So that Gravity Falls cosplay I mentioned a while back…
Ima be cosplaying Dippy Fresh with my peep @itsmelodymofo as Weirdmageddon Wendy at ALA this weekend! We’re also trying to host a gathering on day 2 so if you’re to ala and love Gravity Falls, you should totally stop by the gathering :D
So I did get in two skis on Christmas Day. RBN1 and I opted to head over to the lighted trails nearby seeing as it was getting close to 9:00 by the time we headed out. I texted the guys from the shop to see if they knew when the lights were turned off as I really didn’t want to be in the middle of the woods when they did. They didn’t know so we took our headlamps with just in case. I now know that on that particular evening they go out at 10:13 (yes 10:13, that wasn’t a typo). I happened to be at the parking lot while RBN1 was about 300m away. I had just skied up to someone who was just getting there and said hi. I turned around and noticed that only the parking lot light was on. I quickly excused myself saying I just left my girlfriend out on the trail in the dark. Oops!
Picture 1 is RBN1 out enjoying a beautiful Christmas evening ski. The trails had been groomed early so there was still quite a bit of fluff on top which can make skating difficult. So while I was cruising along classicing again and really enjoying the nice set track she had the additional challenge of the extra snow to make learning to skate a little more challenging. She is still doing great though. I’m no great teacher so she is just picking it up on her own and is really starting to get around. I kept telling her that every time I skied up ahead and turned around to ski back I hardly had time to start skiing back and she had already caught up.
Today we got out and skied again. The second picture was a complete accident as I was trying to get my phone out to take the last picture. The picture turned out pretty cool though. The corduroy can’t get much fresher than basically sucking on the tailpipe of the groomer.
Back to work tomorrow for another one day work week. It is tough, but someone has to do it.
