I really like the song that plays during the more intimate moments in the game, so I wanted to try playing it. There are two versions (the piano one and the slower one) but this is… somewhere between the two? Also I may have reharmonized it a little bit, idk lol I transcribed it based on memory. And I just made up a track title because I don’t think there’s an actual name for it.
I am so sorry but that boy is hufflepuff. Explain yourself lady! Lmoa
Listen, I get it. I know that Hufflepuff and Gryffindor share a lot of traits and it’s not like the Hogwarts houses are as clean cut as we’d like them to be, but I believe 100%, from the bottom of my heart, that Aaron Dingle is a Gryffindor and here’s why:
Strong Morals Aaron has a very strong belief system. He stands up for what’s right no matter the consequences. (Remember when he told people in prison that he’s gay simply because he refused to be taunted for it even though he knew it would make his life inside even worse?) Also, Aaron started lecturing Robert on what’s right and what’s wrong like two months after they met which highlights the very ingrained and strong black and white thinking that Aaron always had. Something is either right or it’s wrong, but society’s definitions of right and wrong don’t always line up with Aaron’s. Remember when Liv threw pineapples at David and Aaron immediately excused her? I mean, most people would tell you that is a wrong thing to do but it wasn’t in Aaron’s book of morals so he didn’t punish her or anything.
Patience Now, that’s a predominant Hufflepuff trait, but Aaron is probably one of the least patient people in the village. He has one hell of a temper and gets angry quickly. He’s impulsive and often makes snap decisions without properly thinking through the consequences. That once again makes him a lot more of a Gryffindor to me.
Loyalty Again, a trait that both Hufflepuff and Gryffindor share but in Aaron’s case, I believe his loyalty is tied to his morals. What I mean is Aaron very much has a Dingle sense of loyalty. He’ll stand by his people until something goes against what he believes in, then he’ll be ready to tell you you’re wrong and to push you to do the right thing, or to try and make things right himself.
Honesty Aaron can be honest if he wants to, but lets not forget that he’s done a ton of misdeeds in the past for no reason other than pure mischief or impulsiveness (I remember people reblogging a video a couple of days ago of Aaron stealing Edna’s bird house - that would be an example of that.) And selective honesty is not very Hufflepuff-like, they value it a lot more thank Gryffindors do, I feel like.
Bravery I know that’s a trait that both houses share (although it different ways) but it’s a prime example for why I think Aaron is a Gryffindor. Aaron is not just brave in general, but he’s actually brave to a fault so it tips over into recklessness and almost stupidity (I’m gonna bring up coming out to Jason in prison once again because that’s the latest example we had of that character trait.) His bravery ties into his lack of regard for consequences and his morals that I talked about earlier.
So he’s moral and righteous and fights for the right thing while also being reckless, impulsive and headstrong. That’s 100% Gryffindor to me.
if it wasn’t obvious, here be spoilers – proceed accordingly!
Oh man, Julia Morizawa, love of my life. Wolf 359 officially has had all of my favorite podcast ladies.
So, I’ve had a hunch since Kansas that things on the USS Tiamat ended in a catastrophic meltdown. I know that the mythology-based names have a slightly woobly relationship to the stations themselves, but this one stuck out to me in particular because
A. This is the only station not named after a Greek myth, and
B. The first podcast I fell in love with was The Black Tapes, so, I knew a little about this lady already.
Tiamat is a mother-goddess, just like Hera and Rhea, but she’s also the goddess of destruction, the monstrous embodiment of primordial chaos. Tiamat was both the station that made first contact, and a station that ended in more than one kind of self-destruction. I can’t think of a more perfect designation.
daniel jacobi has never given fewer shits in his entire life and let me tell you I am Here For It.
’m fairly certain we came across another Cutter alias/persona – Zhang refers to the Director of Communications, Mr. Keller – which begs the question: how old is this man? How has he been involved in this for so long, without seeming to have aged one bit? Something slippery is going on here, and I’m taking bets now that Cutter is a least a little unhuman.
The fact that Hilbert’s experiments really weren’t ever accomplishing anything makes me sick and sad in ways that I don’t totally understand yet.
I’m a little bit concerned about Eiffel?? I don’t know if it was just me, if this episode showcased a kind of anger that we haven’t yet seen out of Eiffel, but, he didn’t quite feel himself to me? And with all the talk of Dear-Listener-Duplicates amplifying certain portions of their template’s personality, I’m not sure how to feel. I’m not taking bets yet, but bet I’m listening carefully.
That said, the references to Kate and Anne did warm my paranoid little heart.
I am VERY concerned for Lovelace, because holy shit, I love her and I want to believe that everything is okay, and she’s gonna be okay, and shit isn’t going to hit the fan as a result of trusting her – because nothing would murder me more than to have Team Handcuffs not trust her – but also holy shit I can’t shake the terrible “and then things got worse” feeling creeping up the back of my neck?? Because when has anything on this podcast ever been okay?? I want to believe that they’re making the right decision, but, that’s not how narrative – especially this narrative – has proven to work?? Oh man, I am all kinds of nervous about this.
The number of times that I yelled “damn” while listening to this episode is easily over 359, because all bets are off at this point.
The little nod at the end makes me wonder if Gabriel intentionally picked Hilbert’s middle name in honor of Tchaikovsky.
i’m not really sure what to get into without specifics tho.. i hc that the counselor girl on david’s childhood photo is called gretchen though. that i’m certain of. her name is gretchen, and she feels responsible for things that happened.
Ok I'm so confused. I recently went to an EXO fansign, and asked if they knew about taorishan leaving, and they said that none of them knew until they left, including the three that left. So I'm guessing it's a 1000% SM's fault. They turned the entire situation to make taorishan look bad.
I’m an exo-l for idk 14 months now, so I have no first hand experience of the shit that went down in 2014 (back then I was already bopping to black pearl but that was it). Therefore I’m probably the wrong person to ask stuff about taokrishan
I know that Kris apparently left without telling anyone (which I think is true) but I can’t imagine luhan not hinting/saying anything, he just doesn’t seem to be the type.
“including the three that left” so you mean they didn’t know themselves that they would leave?
(O_O;) that’s lowkey scary since I read a theory about taokrishan leaving being part of some fucked up concept sm has for exo. (don’t believe that tho). If you mean that it was a spontaneous idea, I doubt leaving your group/friends/family/work is something you decide in a night ^^;
It is 100000000000% SM’s fault. They treated them unfair and then tried to put it on them. (like they try now to make it look like it’s lay’s fault for not promoting the cb with exo) I swear they sometimes treat their idols more like objects than humans…
[on a different note: YOU WENT TO A FANSIGN ASDFDLKJ SO COOL AMAZING HOW WAS IT ARE THEY REALLY MORE HANDSOME IRL???]
