Ah, there’s nothing like a birthday party. No, not the kiddie ones where the parents deal with screaming children; a nice, fun, relaxed party: Arthur Weasley’s.

You had been married to Fred for as long as the war ended, and his dad’s birthday was coming up. His parents absolutely adored you, plus you were Fred’s wife, leading to your invite.

It was a beautiful February afternoon, and the snow was glistening prettier than ever. Laughter and conversation filled the living room, as not only Arthur’s friends were there, but his children’s, too.

You were a muggleborn, and understood Arthur’s fascination with Muggle things very well, leading you to get the perfect present. You looked at your present that you left by the front door, along with everyone else, and examined it. It was finely wrapped in orange wrapping paper, and topped with white ribbon and a red bow,

You sighed, getting the attention of your husband, leading him to put his arm around your shoulder. You cuddled into him and rubbed your hands to warm yourself up.

“Alright, tea’s ready,” Molly called, setting a bowl of fruit on the table. Everyone gathered around the table to take seats. There was an arrangement of foods: salad, turkey, sandwiches, fruit, etc, and it was very appetizing,

Once everyone had finished their meals, they had moved into the living room to open gifts. “Mine, first! Mine, first!” Ginny had called, leading Arthur to open a small box with tickets inside. “They’re train tickets to France, for you and Mum,” she smiled. Arthur thanked her and moved on with the presents.

After a few more presents, he picked up yours. You told him it was yours, and he began to open it. He folded the openings of the package to find a yellow rubber duck inside. Along with it was a card, not only saying “Happy Birthday”, but uses and meanings for the rubber duck.

Arthur looked up at you and smiled. “I know how curious you were about that, so now you get a personal one,” you explained. “This is wonderful. Thanks, Y/N,” he responded, examining the duck.

“This is why I married her,” Fred smirked. “Only this reason?” you asked, raising one eyebrow. “Yep, only this one. I knew long ago that you would get my old man this present, and I knew that I had to marry you,” he concluded, causing you to laugh. “Whatever you say.”

Concept: a movie theater that only shows Harry Potter films. The movies will be in 4D. The temperature will drop when dementors are present. Fans will blow on you during quidditch scenes. Enticing smells will be pumped in during feast scenes but don’t worry about feeling hungry because the theater will serve Bertie Botts, treacle tart, drumsticks, butterbeer, chocolate frogs and those tiny little pies that Mrs. Weasley makes. Instead of loyalty cups, you get discounts if you wear a Weasley sweater.

ok so Ron says he doesn’t like spiders because when he was 3 the twins turned his teddy bear into a spider right? the twins are only 2 years older than Ron, which means they were FIVE YEARS OLD when they did this and I’m just??????? like they were five and they didn’t even have WANDS and they managed to deliberately turn a bear into a spider???? even if they managed to steal a wand from their siblings or parents that’s a really tricky bit of transfiguration and at age five most kids are just doing uncontrolled magic….. like TBH in my opinion Fred and George had more innate talent than the trio combined but they just wanted to chill and do pranks and I respect tf out of that

Things Fred and George are besides troublemakers:

Intelligent

  • they figured out how to use the Marauder’s Map during their first year
  • they both received good marks in their first few years at Hogwarts
  • they drove their dad’s flying car without any training
  • they knew how to pick a lock using Muggle methods
  • they actually memorized the entire Marauder’s Map by their fifth year
  • they correctly predicted the outcome of the Quidditch World Cup
  • they made a successful aging potion so they could put their names in the Goblet of Fire (of course, Dumbledore had the age line which knew they weren’t of age, but their aging potion was a success regardless)
  • they started a highly successful business from scratch before their sixth year
  • they invented a great load of things for their business (which takes time, intelligence, and money)
  • found a way to disguise their products so they could be delivered to Hogwarts students
  • they passed their Apparition tests “with distinction”
  • they knew what the Vanishing Cabinet was and shoved Montague in it, knowing he wouldn’t come out for weeks
  • they turned corridors at Hogwarts into swamps
  • helped to keep Potterwatch going

Kind

  • tried to send Harry a toilet seat when he was in the hospital wing after fighting Quirrell and Voldemort
  • tried to keep the rogue bludger away from Harry in his second year
  • they rescued Harry from his abusive home before his second year at Hogwarts
  • didn’t take the rumors that Harry was the Heir of Slytherin seriously
  • both of them were ready to attack Malfoy when he called Hermione a “mudblood”
  • decided to give the Marauder’s Map to Harry because his “needs are greater than ours”
  • comforted Harry after the dementor attacks
  • they allowed Harry free merchandise from Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes because he gave them the thousand galleons to start their shop
  • defended their brother when the Slytherins came up with “Weasley is our King”
  • defended Harry when the Slytherins insulted his mother, Lily Potter
  • started an all-out rebellion against Umbridge for her punishment practices
  • volunteered to take Polyjuice Potion to disguise themselves as Harry Potter so they could safely transport the real one

Family-Bound

  • constantly defended their family from jokes about wealth, blood status, and appearances
  • requested that Percy sit with them instead of the other prefects in their third year because it was a “family holiday”
  • they were very proud of Ron when he beat McGonagall’s life-sized wizard’s chess
  • tried to cheer up Ginny during her first year, even though she’d been under the influence of Tom Riddle
  • joined their family in Egypt (even though they tried to lock Percy in a pyramid)
  • (sort of) comforted Ron when Scabbers went missing in his third year
  • they bought Ron a brand new set of dress robes under Harry’s instruction
  • they spent a majority of their Christmas holidays during their seventh year at St. Mungo’s after their father was attacked by Nagini
  • defended their family from Percy’s ignorance on multiple occasions
  • both still stayed at the Burrow for the Christmas holidays during Harry’s sixth year

[feel free to add more]

Friendship between a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw would include...

 • The perfect duo.
 • Helping the Slytherin with homework.
 • The Slytherin standing up to bullies.
 • The Slytherin never expresses feelings.
 • The Ravenclaw not really caring.
 • Knows how much they mean.
 • The Slytherin not caring about status.
 • Defending the Ravenclaw from Snape.
 • Sarcastic remarks here and there.
 • Witty comebacks.
 • Annoying the shit out of each other.
 • Trash talking each other face to face.
 • If fighting don’t bother trying to solve it.
 • You’ll only get hurt.
 • Verbally and physically.
 • Jinxing each other.
 • If serious, blood might be spilled.
 • Hexes flying everywhere.
 • Teachers trying to break them apart.
 • Only for them to getting hexed as well.
 • Making up after a week or two.
 • Late night studying.
 • The Ravenclaw doing all the work.
 • The Slytherin eating while watching.
 • “Don’t you want to help?”
 • “I am! I’m observing.”
 • “With your mouth stuffed?”
 • “That’s how I observe the best!”
 • Sneaking into each others dorms.
 • Close with the other’s family.
 • All in all the perfect friendship that no one really understands but admires.

See how George says Fred’s name and turns around to celebrate Harry’s “resurrection” with his twin brother, but see that he isn’t there and remembers that Fred, his favourite person in the whole world is dead. That is one of the saddest moments in the entire movie series! How could about 2 seconds of footage hurt that much!

For you, @drsallysparrow, several months late.

“Georgie,” Fred whispered, arching a brow and digging his elbow into his brother’s ribs as soon as they poured out of Filch’s office. “Have a look.”

“Well then,” George remarked, eyeing the worn piece of parchment in his twin’s hand. “A whole drawer of confiscated items and you thought the blank bit of parchment was probably best?” He reached for it, giving it a skeptical once-over. “For this I wasted a dungbomb?”

“A dungbomb at the inconvenience of Filch is never a dungbomb wasted,” Fred told him smartly. “Anyway, considering the drawer, there’s obviously more to it. Unlike you,” he added, nudging him. “Who possess nothing beneath your stunningly handsome facade.”

“A handsomeness that I wear better, by the way,” George assured his twin, not looking up. “Hm,” he murmured to himself. “If it were me, I would- ”

He stopped, frowning in thought.

“Oh good,” Fred said, fighting a yawn. “I was hoping you’d come to an abrupt stop.” He leaned against the wall, kicking one leg out to cross it over the other. “Frankly, if it weren’t for your unerring mystery, I’d have run off a long time ago.”

George raised his wand and tapped it against the parchment. “Revelio,” he muttered, and then watched as a series of words began to spread across the page.

No, it said. Don’t feel like it.
