I watched Third Year AB Theatre Arts play last Wednesday. Not just only it’s a William Shakespeare’s piece but because it’s also my way of supporting my dearest friend Charmaine.
The first half of the play represented by Group 1 was Hamlet. This drama is one of the great tragedy plays by Shakespeare. The themes of the plot cover indecision, revenge and retribution, deception, ambition, loyalty and fate. Prince Hamlet mourns both his father’s death and his mother, Queen Gertrude’s remarriage to Claudius. The ghost of Hamlet’s father appears to him and tells him that Claudius has poisoned him. Hamley swears revenge. He kills the eavesdropping Polonius, the court chamberlain. Polonius’ son Laertes returns to Denmark to avenge his father’s death. Polonius’ daughter Ophelia loves the prince but his behavior drives her to madness. Ophelia dies by drowning. A dueal takes place and ends with the death of Gertrude, Laertes, Claudius and Hamlet.
And seriously, I got bored. The play was good, the actors and actresses portrait their characters very well but the story was too long and wearisome. I’m a critic here. Sorry.
There have a 15 minute break. Kaye (freakhaye) hosted the ice breaker entitled “Yakisobra” and I was like “Oh my, that was really Kaye? She’s beyond awesome!”
By 3pm, the play resumed. The beginning of the play catches my attention, with the video about the same-sex relationships and the way they interpreted their dance (btw, it wasn’t a dirty dance that was an Art, a shadow dance as they called it.).
Charmaine play the lead role of Rosalind and Ganymede. As You Like It is one of the great comedy plays by Shakespeare. The heroine Rosalind played by Charmaine is one of his most inspiring characters and has more lines than any of Shakespeare’s female characters. Rosalind, the daughter of a banished duke falls in love with Orlando the disinherited son of one of the duke’s friends. When she is banished from the court by her usurping uncle, Duke Frederick, Rosalind takes on the appearance of a boy calling herself Ganymede. She travels with her cousin Celia and the jester Touchstone to the Forest of Arden, where her father and his friends live in exile. Themes about life and love, including aging, the natural word, and the death are included in the play. New friends are made and families are reunited. By the end of the play, Ganymede, once again Rosalind, marries Orlando. Orlando and Rosalind, Oliver and Celia, Silvius and Phebe and Touchstone and Audrey all are married in the final scene. Oliver becomes a gentler, kinder young man so the Duke changes his ways and turns to religion and so that the exiled Duke, father of Rosalind, can rule once again.
I got fascinated by their voices, it was loud and clear, (oh that was not because Charmaine is my friend) that was a part of my criticism. The enunciation and pronunciation was so perfect. Actually, all of the characters were good even on Hamlet’s casts, it was just their play was kinda’ dull and maybe because As You Like It, entertained everyone because of it’s humorous approach.
But I don’t think na dapat pa siyang magsalita. Galangan at respeto? WOW! Sino ba nag - umpisa?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Kung kelan nagbabagong buhay ako ganyan sasabihin sakin. EPIC talaga! tawa na lang ako. In the first place hindi ako galit sa kanila. The hell I care di ba? Nakakainis lang kasi mga hindi nag - iisip. At ano ba ang ginagawa ng 3 - 1? HAHAHA Nagkataon ang 3 - 1 kasi nag - iisip sila HINDI! Kasi wala sila! HAHAHAHAHA Enough na nga. Parang joke kasi. HAHAHAHAHA
NAKAKATUWA TALAGA MGA CLASSMATES KO. ANG TATAAS NG IQ LEVEL.
there is this particular song na kapag naririnig ko eh affected talaga ko..coz everytime I hear that song I was thinking of my wedding.. a girl’s dream..that would not come true.. sad? maybe..but I’m happy right now..and if someone would ask me what I think would happen to my future I would answer: “ I’ll be busy being a career woman or something.. then maybe playing with my nephews and nieces.. building my dream house with lots of books in it..a garden would be perfect.. ”
then from time to time pupunta friends ko with their kids..tsismisan at kamustahan..
ang saya lang..napaka peaceful..I’m happy seeing my friends happy and inlove..yun lang madalas akong chaperon..pero okay lang naman..kinikilig naman akong kasama sila.. though personally I stop believing in ever after, forever, etc.. LOVE is not for me.. <3

MY GOD!
