For our final cover today, it is Frank covering “The Greatest Day” originally by Take That. I really don’t like their version. Frank’s is much better, imho.

That’s it for this week. Please come back next week and maybe we will have something exciting to talk about. (Foot tapping patiently.) Til then……Cat.

I am playing this just because I love it so damn much. “One Fine Day.” It was recorded by Nicole aka @elawgrrl. Also go look at Nicole’s photos. She is ace. The link is on her YouTube page. God I can’t wait for the new album to get here.

That’s it for Frank Turner Friday. Until next week………Cat.

Frank Turner and Rob Brydon perform a cover of ABBA’s Dancing Queen live on the Stephen Merchant show in Decemeber 2007. I chuckled the whole time I listened to this. I found this on DuncanBeak’s YouTube channel.

That’s it for Frank Turner Friday. Have a good weekend. Wish I was in Helsinki with my friend, Seidi Roine, listening to FTHC and the SS. Somebody take photos for me. Until next Friday…….Cat

Frank Turner Friday for realz!

Hi. Cat here. It’s Friday, 28 December 2012. It’s Frank Turner Friday for real. Mr. T was born 31 years ago today. He’s playing in Southampton at Joiners. If you are going to the concert, don’t forget to wish the Bearded One a Happy Birthday.

If you want to submit Birthday wishes to his good self, please send them to DFT and we will put them up. Also if you get photos at the concert and want to submit them, please do. We welcome them.

Also wanted to send out a special Hurrah! to his mother. Without his mum, he wouldn’t be here. Good work, Mrs. T.

FTF covers will be back next week. Til then……Cat

And now for something completely different. The first time I listened, it didn’t do a thing for me. But upon further reflection, it’s a fun song to listen to. If you didn’t like it the first time, please try it a second time. “The Ballad of Me and My Friends” covered by TwelveEightySix (ANDANDANDAND). The liner notes on YouTube gives you all the ways to follow this band.
