Mauricio, we are very intrigued by the protagonist in your work. Please tell us more about Amanda. How did you two meet and how has your collaborative journey been so far?
Actually Amanda is my girlfriend! That’s how we met to create the project haha, but she’s also my model and partner in adventures, crime (not really, but sometimes we jump some fences we weren’t allowed to), exploration and photography. Our collaborative journey has been simply amazing! We are into the same kind of photography work and both wanderlust addicts but each one of us with our own style, techniques and approach. I learn something new with her in every “field work” we do.
What is on your travel itinerary next?
We’re just back from 16 days in Chile including 9 epic days in the desert of San Pedro de Atacama. We’ve been in the beautiful “cerros” and cute cafes and bars in Santiago, in the colorful uphill streets of Valparaiso, in the breathtaking turquoise lagoon Embalse El Yeso in Cajon del Maipo, and in every out-of-this-planet spot San Pedro de Atacama has to offer: Valle de la Luna, Valle de la Muerte, Laguna Cejar, Salar de Tara, the Lagunas Altiplanicas, Cordillera de la Sal and the Geysers del Tatio. We had 30°C and also -6°C in 4800 meters above the sea level. It really is an unbelievable country and a mandatory item for everyone’s bucket list. And on the top of our travel itinerary list is Canada (and the amazing Alberta province with Banff and Jasper National Parks), Iceland and returning to Chile to explore its south among Torres del Paine and the Chilean Patagonia.
What sort of projects can we expect from you in the future?
The adventures will keep on going around the world. We’re looking forward to collaborate with new adventurous global brands and worldwide tourism boards to generate amazing content for their social media feeds and to keep exploring and inspiring people to go out and discover new places themselves. That’s the core message of “The Adventures of Amanda”: that there are adventures all around you just waiting for you to make them happen. Where in the world will the next adventure be? We still have no idea neither, but follow us on theadventuresofamanda.com to find out!
¿No creéis?
