1: Currently Reading
I’m sort of in between things at the moment, but I need to finish reading Pegasus in Space by Anne McCaffery

3: First book that had a major influence on you
Hmm. I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember, but the first one that really influenced the way I view life was probably The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgeson Burnett.

5: Favorite series and why

AHHHH PICKING FAVORITES IS REALLY HARD. Tie between the O'Malley Series by Dee Henderson and The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. Both of them have completely set the standard for literature in their respective genres, and they’ve become parts of my soul.

Thanks for the ask, treasured mutual!

you can’t.

you’re not.

so i’m not.

instead i try to be

what you want me to be.

and i fail

and so i go back to being the girl that’s ‘not’

all girls are princesses

i am aware

i am one too.

or at least, that’s how i grew up.

i am her princess

not draped in jewels and finery

but the princess of my queen’s heart.

a position i will never regret

a title will never apologize for

a bearing i will never abandon.

but now it seems who i am

will never be enough

will never be right.

so who i am

like the little princess

i always try not be

for peace sake

i promise

i tried not to be

and i failed miserably,

so this is me taking ownership

of being a princess

inside my heart

i can.

i am.

(my photo, my book, a little princess. rhyme inspired by this line, one of my many favorites from this book. it did not come out quite like i expected, but hopefully it’s pretty enough. ~p august 10, 2011 :D ♥)
