Notes: This chapter is fairly short. I’ve been pretty busy this last week and will continue to be busy unfortunately. I’m going to work on the next chapter as often as I can to get it posted ASAP.

“Quarantine? For how long?” Amber asked. “Could be up to a week. Denise said we need to give the illness time to incubate before we’ll know for sure.” Amber sighed. “Well I guess I don’t have a choice.” Rick walked Amber home. When they arrived he put a hand on Amber’s shoulder. “Someone will come and check on you a few times a day, ok?” Amber nodded and headed inside. “Goodnight, Rick.” Amber entered her home and sighed loudly. Fucking quarantine? This was gonna suck. Amber felt fine the rest of the night, just a little run down but she had been hit in the head with a large rifle so that was most likely the cause. The next morning after a quick visit from Denise, Amber got sick again. “Goddammit.” She said to herself as she cleaned up. What the hell was going on? That day seemed to go on forever. She was so tired and kept throwing up. She was starting to worry that something terrible was actually wrong with her. The third day of quarantine was more of the same. She threw up several times and was ridiculously tired. She also noticed that she was incredibly moody. “Maybe I’m getting my period.” She thought. Amber went upstairs to the bathroom and looked under the sink to make sure she had enough tampons. When she looked in the box though, it was odd. She quickly counted the tampons. “How are there so many in here. I’ve been using these for three months now.” Just then it hit her. She gasped and dropped the box, spilling the tampons on the bathroom floor. She hadn’t gotten her period in two months, that’s why there were so many tampons left. Amber started to hyperventilate. She sat down on the edge of the bathtub and tried to take deep breaths. Later that night Amber snuck out of her house and made her way to the infirmary. She knew that Denise left the windows unlocked so she used the window closest to the supply room as her entry. Once inside Amber slowly and quietly made her way into the supply room and looked through the shelves until she found what she was looking for. She grabbed the pink and blue box and just stared at the words ‘pregnancy test’ in the top right corner until she heard someone moving about upstairs. She quickly stuffed the box into the pocket of her hoodie and climbed back out the window and ran back to her house. She quickly tore open the box and pulled out three wrapped tests. “Well, might as well be sure.” Amber used all three. The box said the results would take five minutes. Amber set the tests down on the sink and walked into her bedroom and sat on the edge of the bed. She looked at the clock. 1:02AM. She just sat there thinking. What was she going to do? What if something happened to Simon? What if Negan comes and takes her back to the Sanctuary to make her his wife? These and a million other questions raced through Amber’s mind as she sat with her head in her hands. She looked over at the clock again. 1:09AM. “Fuck.” Amber took a deep breath and went into the bathroom. She grabbed the first test and closed her eyes, taking a few more breaths before looking down at it. A plus sign. She looked at the second one. Another plus sign. The third, another plus sign. Her heart sank. She just collapsed on the bathroom floor and cried herself to sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The silence in the room was deafening. Simon just stood there, his eyes slightly wide. Rick looked to Simon then to Amber. “Amber, are you sure? Did you talk to Denise?” Rick asked. Amber nodded. “I snuck into the infirmary a few nights ago and took a box of pregnancy tests. I used all three. I’m sure.” Rick nodded. “Ok, well we need to get you to Hilltop. They have an ultrasound machine there. That’s where Maggie goes for check ups. We’ll take good care of you.” Simon still had yet to say anything which was making Amber nervous. She touched his arm lightly. “Babe, are you ok?” Simon just blinked. “We went to all those doctors. Those specialists. They all said it was impossible for you to get pregnant.” He said softly. A year or so after they had gotten married they started trying to have kids. But when Amber didn’t get pregnant they went to a fertility specialist. Then another. Then another. Six in total. All of them had different answers as to what was wrong but the conclusions were all the same; there’s no way Amber could get pregnant. She shrugged a bit. “My body picked a hell of time to start to cooperating.” Simon moved so he could sit on the stairs and put his head in his hands. Amber sighed softly. “Rick, could we get some privacy.” Rick nodded. “Of course. Hey…” He pulled Amber into a hug. “Everything is gonna be ok.” Amber returned the hug and smiled. “Thanks, Rick.” He smiled and turned and walked outside, shutting the door behind him.
Jughead Jones x Reader: Relationship Status
Request:
Can I request a Jughead x reader where they are dating and just haven’t told anyone but they always hold hands/other cute couple stuff. And Veronica (or anyone else in the group) asks if they’re dating with one of them (Jug or the reader) replying with something like “We are? Why didn’t you tell me?”
A/N: This one was bit cute to write so I hope you guys enjoy it.  Going through a bit of writers block at the moment so I hope you guys like it and it’s not too crappy and that the requestor is happy about it.
Words: 1407
Summary: You and Jug have been friends all your lives and you start dating but don’t tell your friends because of recent events in Riverdale. Veronica wants you guys to date so bad not knowing you guys are.
Spoilers: Veronica is bisexual in this imagine.
Warnings: N/A
You and Jughead had been inseparable since as long as you could remember. The days you guys weren’t together were slim to none.
As you grew older you realized you had feelings for the beanie obsessed writer. You guys were too close for him not feel the same.
It was a troubled day when you chose you were going to talk to him about how you felt about him. The nerves occupied your body as you made your way to the park to see him.
This is the day you repeated to yourself all the way.
It was like the world knew you were destined for each other because that memorable day Jughead had set up a picnic. Which made you question what was going on because other than you, his laptop was his other most loyal companion. He never let it out of his sight and he told you to meet him up because he wanted you to see what he was writing.
Turned out Jughead felt the same way and you guys started dating ever since, but you guys never got to tell any of your friends with all the mayhem that resided in Riverdale.
A lost soul, the murder of Jason Blossom on July 11th as the coroner stated after his body was found in the now vacant Sweetwater River.
You both had talked about telling them after the funeral but that just seemed selfish, but you guys were always linked to each other so maybe it didn’t make a difference. The only change now is that you guys kiss although Jug is not big on PDA, so you only ever held hands and hugged, the usual.
__
Jughead found a new topic to write about, Jason. You and Betty helped out find justice for the red-haired boy who left the world too quickly.
Jughead was sitting with you in his usual booth at Pops as he wrote and you talked about the murder case and anything that came to mind. You both always seemed to be in your own bubble. When you were together it was as if you were in your own parallel universe.
In the other side of the diner was Betty and Veronica chatting away while enjoying a strawberry and chocolate milkshakes with fries.
“So those two, what’s their deal?” Veronica added to their conversation.
“Honestly we don’t know, they look completely in love with other” Betty chimed in as Kevin came in and sat with them.
“What’s up? What’s the topic?” he spoke
“(Y/N) and Jug” Betty answered
“Ah the Lovers” Kevin chimed in as he ordered his food
“So you think there is something there too” Veronica cheered
“Oh please you’d have to be oblivious to not see the sparks and lighting bolts around them” Kevin continued.
“They have been inseparable since as long as we can remember, she’s the only one that has ever worn his beanie” Betty noted as Veronicas jaw dropped.
“What?! But he doesn’t even take that thing off, I swear he showers with it” the raven haired girl chuckled as Archie was coming into the diner.
“Arch” Betty motioned to the ginger to sit with them.
“Hey, what’s up I was going to talk to Jug” he declared.
“And ruin their moment” the blond spoke motioning to you and Jughead sitting on the same side of the booth giggling away and Arch just smiled.
“I swear I don’t know why they just don’t date they’re-, uh- what’s the word?” Arch added sitting next to Veronica.
“In love” Veronica giggled.
“Smitten” Betty cooed as she rested her head on her hand.
“Yes that one Bets, smitten” Arch blurted and they laughed but that still didn’t compare to the laughs that were radiating from the other side of the diner coming from you and Jughead.
“Honestly what are we going to do about them?” Veronica questioned.
“What do you mean?” Kevin asked.
“We have to get them together” Veronica confessed.
“Oh no” Betty admitted
“Why not?” Veronica added
“You are so new Ron” Kevin announced
“Jug and (Y/N) don’t like people meddling in their lives” Arch concluded.
“Well then we don’t push them together, but we can show them that there is other opportunities” Veronica stayed on topic as the others gave her puzzled looks.
“Well you guys said not to push them, so I’ll give them a little nudge” she continued.
“What nudge?” Betty asked with a smile.
“We get someone to ask them on a date, someone for Jughead and someone for (Y/N)” Veronica argued.
“Doubt it will work” Arch spoke as he took a bite of his burger.
“Yeah what if they say no to those people” Betty gave a small smile.
“Plus who were you going to get to ask them out? No one would dare separate those two” Kevin assured.
“Me and Arch” Veronica stated confidently and Archie choked on his soda.
“Hell no! Jug would kill me, she’s off limits” Archie said as he recovered then gave an expression that showed he had said too much.
“What do you mean off limits Andrews?” Veronica broke the silence.
“No nothing, I uh- I just meant she’s Jug’s best friend” he tried to rescue himself.
“No no, tell us what you know” Kevin declared as him and the girls gave him a devilish smirk.
“Will you look at the time, I have got to go” Archie decided about to stand up and veronica grabbed his wrist and pulled him back down.
“Spill it Andrews” She commanded.
“Jug uh- he’s gonna hate me” Archie said as he scratched his neck “he- uh- he’s got a thing for (Y/N) since like forever, he talks about her constantly and one time I told him if he didn’t do something I would ask her out just playing around and he literally made me swear to leave it alone and she was his if it ever happens. You cannot tell a soul about this if Jug finds out he’ll never talk to me again and (Y/N) well I don’t know how she’ll react” he confessed as they all had smiles plastered on their faces.
“Oh we have got to do something now, he likes her and she is obviously head over heels for him” Veronica cheered.
“But what? If it goes wrong they’re gonna hate us” Betty took a sip of her milkshake.
“Count me out, me and Jug are finally talking again” Archie declared.
“Sorry gay” Kevin spoke as Veronica turned to him and they chuckled once again.
“You could ask out Jug and I ask her out” Veronica smirked.
“Oh honey no, Jug’s cute but not my type. You could totally ask out (Y/N) though you bisexual queen” Kevin smiled and Veronica giggled.
So the group made their way to the other side of the diner to see what would unravel.
“Hey guys” you spoke as you saw them sit down with you and Jug.
“What’s with the grins?” you asked them confused as to what they wanted.
“Um (Y/N)” Veronica spoke as she took your hand and you gave her a puzzled look and Jughead gave the same look.
“What are you doing?” you asked Veronica as Jughead placed his arm around you.
“(Y/N) um- Will you- um- uh, Oh my god! I can’t!” Veronica pleaded and everyone except you and Jughead started laughing and you turned to Jughead and them so oblivious to what was going on.
“Can’t what?” you decided you wanted some answers as you laid your head on Jughead’s shoulder.
“Ron was gonna fake ask you out” Kevin retorted as Veronica stared at him with wide eyes.
“What?!” you questioned as she gave you a small smile.
“I just wanted to see your reaction, everyone says you and Jughead are two peas in a pod and I see it too, but ugh- I- I just want you guys to date. You guys would be my otp” Veronica rambled.
“I could’ve sworn we were going out though” Jughead stated as he placed a gentle kiss on your forehead and you smiled as the whole table gasped, shocked expressions plastered on their faces.
“Go Juggie” Archie encouraged as he motioned to Jughead for a high five.
“Oh my, Yes” Kevin cheered.
“Congrats (Y/N), you guys are so amazing together” Betty smiled.
“Happy now Ron” you implied to a still shocked raven haired girl.
“Best day in Riverdale so far” Veronica exulted.
Third Wheel
It’s late to the party, but here’s my submission for Round 4 of The Great Fic Writer Scavenger Hunt
A week into Dean and Cas’ newfound relationship and Sam’s only just managed to find peace. He’s not sure what part is worst. There’s the way their voices still get all dewy when they call each other “partner” in their public, fake FBI capacity. Or how Dean goes out of his way to feed bits of his meal to Cas. They ought to sit together on one bench, but nooooooo, Cas wants to see Dean’s eyes. Then, of course, there’s the litany of “sounds Sam should have gone his whole life not hearing” thanks to paper thin motel walls.
Still, of all the awful, terrible things, the absolute worst, Sam suspects, is the incident of last night.
It had been late, Dean had been driving, Sam asleep in the front seat. Earlier in the day, Cas had been sitting shotgun, but he’d offered it to Sam so he could stretch out and sleep. Which, for the record, Sam had been doing.
Until he woke up with Dean’s hand trailing up his thigh.
It’s hard to say which of the Winchesters were more mortified by the mix-up. Dean, of course, had snatched his hand away, but Sam decided to wrap his jacket over his legs. Just in case.
Thankfully, as horrifying as the incident was, it had fueled Sam’s argument that Dean and Cas should work a case alone. Sam could stay in the Bunker, work the research angle, and get a quiet night’s sleep for the first time in a week. Dean and Cas would be free to engage in whatever activities they saw fit after the hunt had ended.
Dean agreed and, the next day, he and Cas were trekking off to Idaho to handle a couple werewolves.
Sam’s loving the peace. So far he’s gone on an uneventful grocery run, eaten out without attracting a single strange look, actually managed to get some viable research done and had a blessedly quiet night’s sleep.
Of course, that’s when Cas calls.
As much as I'm looking forward to the Jughead Party scene, like one thing I can't get over is the fact that his friends from his whole life are planning him a party with people he doesn't even know. Like Jughead is the guy you make a small dinner or just invite your own little gang, but like the whole school of people he can't stand?!?
Alone Together [j.j.]
Request: ‘Time Waster 4 was soooo good!! can I request a Jughead x reader where she also has to look after herself and had a tough job and Jughead does everything to get her out of it?’ - @nooneshoney
Alright so I tried to stick to the idea, I really did. But I kinda switched it up, hope you don’t mind. :)
~~~

Fear. It is something that has always been around. It tends to curl up inside of you, bothering you until it consumes your thoughts and is the only thing you think of as you lay in bed trying to fall asleep.

(Y/N) (L/N) had plenty of fears. She had a fear of heights (’they’re dangerous!’ she’d always claim), she had a fear of spiders (’anything with more then 6 legs shouldn’t exist!’), and she even had a fear of losing all her friends.

But the thing that she feared most of all, was failure.

~~~
Growing up, (Y/N)’s parents would always tell her that she was meant for greatness. Or at least, she was up until the day her parents’ marriage started falling apart. All she remembered was a fight, a slap, and her mother leaving and vowing to never come back.
Left alone, her dad turned to alcohol and all of a sudden, the wealthy (L/N) family fell from grace. The (L/N)’s company was under (Y/N)’s mom’s name and apart from a monthly check for $500, they hadn’t heard from her since.
Having grown up wealthy, the split left (Y/N) very shaken. She no longer had everything handed to her on a silver platter, a full ride to an Ivy League university no longer guaranteed. Money was short, the check only barely covering the rent on the small apartment that (Y/N) and her father had moved into.
Her life was falling apart.
~~~

Six months after the split, one of (Y/N)’s worst fears came true: she was failing her precalculus class (A/N: idk if that is the usual math for sophomore year but that’s what I took). The pressure was getting to her.

Seeing as the monthly check was only paying the rent, (Y/N) had decided to take up an after school job at a small business in the south side of Riverdale. It was a hectic schedule and she was struggling a lot more than she’d like to admit, but she couldn’t let any of her friends find out about her situation. She didn’t want their pity.

It was a Monday morning when another one of her fears came true: she was losing her friends. It had started when she walked into the school only to find Jughead and Betty waiting for her by her locker.

“Hey guys. What’s up?” she had asked, squeezing in between them to get to her locker.

“We were wondering if…” Betty trailed off, nudging Jughead.

“…if you wanted to join the Blue & Gold,” Jughead finished, shooting Betty an annoyed look and stepping away from her.

“Sorry guys,” (Y/N) had smoothly replied. “I’m pretty busy after school these days.”

“Doing what?” Jughead had questioned. “You quit the River Vixens and last time I checked, you don’t have any other extracurriculars.”

(Y/N) froze slightly before composing herself and turning around. Jughead noticed her weird behavior.

“Yeah I have some extra credit work to do,” she smiled. “It’s gonna take me a while. Sorry.”

Betty leaned into Jughead as (Y/N) walked away. “Something’s up with her.”

Jughead nodded in agreement.

~~~
The rest of the week passed without incident and neither Betty nor Jughead asked (Y/N) about her weird behavior. Friday however, was a different story.
“Hey (Y/N),” Veronica said as she approached the (H/C) girl.
“Hey Ronnie!” she had smiled back.
“So it’s movie night tonight and it’s your turn to bring Pop’s,” Veronica wiggled her eyebrows.
(Y/N)’s smile faltered. “Oh Ronnie, I can’t go today.”
Archie, who had come up behind (Y/N) to surprise her, stopped in surprise.
“What?” he asked in disbelief. “(Y/N/N), you’ve never missed a movie night.”
The girl looked down at her shoes before shrugging, “Something came up Arch. I’m sorry.”
Veronica and Archie stood together as (Y/N) walked away. As she turned the corner, they were joined by Betty and Jughead.
“So what’s up with her?” Veronica asked, trying not to sound too concerned.
“You guys noticed it too?” replied Betty.
“How could we not?” exclaimed Archie. “She’s never acted this way before. I mean, missing out on movie night?”
“We have to find out what’s wrong,” Veronica said.
The three friends grew silent at Veronica’s words, thinking of a plan. All at once, they turned to Jughead, who was distractedly staring down the hallway where (Y/N) had disappeared from.
Feeling their stares, Jughead turned slowly.
“Oh no. I am not getting involved in your little plan.”
Betty, Veronica, and Archie all smiled at each other.
~~~

The smell of alcohol reached (Y/N)’s nostrils before she even opened the door to the apartment, only getting stronger when she managed to unlock it. She quietly made her way to her room, not wanting to wake up her father who was sleeping on the couch (he had quite the temper), and quickly changed into her work uniform.

“Where do you think you’re goin’?” the slurring made her father’s speech nearly unintelligible and (Y/N) felt her blood run cold at the sound of it.

“Work,” she muttered, turning around.

Her father stood before her, bottle of his favorite drink in hand. He leaned heavily against the wall and it didn’t take a genius to see that he was heavily inebriated.

“Why? You should be doing homework, not wasting time like the failure you are,” he stumbled forwards with every word, approaching her as though he was a lion and she, his prey.

(Y/N) felt the tears stinging her eyes but willed herself not to cry. “I have to go dad.”

She made her way out the door only to be stopped by a loud sound next to her. He had thrown his bottle at her. Flinching, she grabbed her bag and ran, ignoring the drunken slurs her father called out after her.

~~~
“Oh dear, what happened to you?” Gladys, (Y/N)’s boss, asked as she walked into work.
Chuckling, (Y/N) answered, “I work in the south side Gladys. Shit happens.”
Gladys flinched at her use of profanity but laughed lightly. “You really should be more careful (Y/N).”
(Y/N) swallowed heavily before looking away, feeling guilty for lying to someone as amazing as Gladys. Gladys gently ran her hand over (Y/N)’s collarbone, which was now marked with a bright, angry cut, courtesy of her father’s liquor bottle.
“What happened?” Gladys asked once more.
Maybe it was the stress of it all. Or the feeling of not being perfect anymore. Or maybe it was just the fact that Gladys was so damn kind that (Y/N) found her tears falling, sobbing when Gladys gathered her up in her arms. Gladys was the only one who knew about her situation. The only one who didn’t judge. They stayed like that for a while, pulling apart when they heard the bell jingle, indicating that someone has just walked in.
“C’mon he’s giving you another chance dad,” a boy’s voice called out.
“Gladys!” another voice called out.
“Dad just listen-”
“No! He fired me. I’m not going to crawl back to him- Oh hey Gladys.”
The bickering pair quieted down when Gladys and (Y/N) stepped into their view.
“FP! What brings you here?” Gladys asked, smile on her face.
(Y/N) stayed behind the counter. ‘FP? As in Jones? What’s he doing here?’ she thought to herself. He hadn’t come around in a long time. She surreptitiously glanced at his companion, gasping when she recognized Jughead. Quickly, ducking under the counter, she racked her brain for an excuse to leave early.
She could faintly hear FP and Gladys’s conversation, but she could clearly hear the footsteps wandering around the shop. She felt her eyes widen almost comically when Gladys called out for her.
“(Y/N/N) dear! I need your help!”
There was no avoiding this. Taking in a deep breath, (Y/N) carefully got up and made her way over to Gladys.
“Hey (Y/N/N),” FP grinned as he saw her. “Glad to see you’re still around.”
“Hey FP,” she replied.
“Oh (Y/N),” Gladys said. “FP finally brought his boy around. He’s your age.”
(Y/N) felt her stomach twist as FP called Jughead over. All her hard work was going to be lost in a matter of seconds.
“Hey Jug!” FP said loudly. “I wasn’t you to meet on of the best workers I’ve ever met.”
Jughead looked uninterested as he hummed, looking around the shop with curiosity.
“This,” FP continued, “Is little miss-”
“(Y/N)?” Jughead interrupted as his eyes landed on you. FP and Gladys looked at both of them in shock.
“Hey Jughead,” she weakly replied.
~~~

“So she was working in south side?” Betty asked skeptically. Jughead nodded.

“That’s nuts. Why would she be working there of all places?” Archie questioned.

Jughead breathed in deeply before looking around to see if anyone was close enough to overhear. “So apparently…”

~~~
Jughead told them everything. The way she had looked at him (like a deer caught in headlights), the cut on her collarbone (concerning everyone), her quick getaway (with tears running down her face), and most of all, all the information he got from Gladys (’Of course I’ll tell you. Maybe her friends can help her.’).
“Well Jug,” Archie said, breaking the silence. “Looks like you did go through with our plan after all.”
They all glared at Archie.
~~~

(Y/N) was having a good day. She hadn’t gone to school and he father was out doing god-knows-what. She had the apartment to herself. Or at least she did, until she heard a knock on the door.

Jughead felt horrible. What kind of friends had they all been? Not once had they noticed (Y/N)’s struggles, they were always too absorbed in their own problems. They all felt guilty but Jughead felt that he should be the one to talk to her, since he had found out first. Nervously, he breathed in and knocked on her apartment door.

It swung open to reveal a disheveled (Y/N), still in shorts and tank, with a messily placed Band-Aid upon her collarbone.

She glanced at him and proceeded to shut the door, only for Jughead to stop it with his foot and push his way inside. They stood face-to-face for a few minutes, studying each other cautiously.

“C’mon,” Jughead broke the silence, brushing his fingertips along her injury. “lets go get this cleaned up.”

~~~
(Y/N) sat nervously on her bed, trying to stay still as Jughead cleaned up her injury.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” he whispered. She looked away.
“You guys have so much to worry about with Jason’s murder and Archie’s things and Veronica’s dad-” she was cut off.
“But that’s not nearly as important as this,” Jughead continued. “You should’ve told us. We could’ve helped.”
“How?” (Y/N) asked. “You already live with Archie. Veronica and her mom are housing Polly and frankly, I don’t think the Coopers like me very much.”
Jughead stayed quiet, carefully applying a new Band-Aid after making sure that the cut wasn’t infected.
“You should’ve told us (Y/N/N),” he finally said.
“It’s not that big of a deal,” she waved off his words. “We had more important things to deal with Jug.”
Jughead felt his heart break at her words. “No we didn’t (Y/N). You are important. We care about you. You should’ve at least let us know.”
You are important.’ Jughead’s words replayed in (Y/N)’s head, bringing tears to her eyes. Jughead gathered her in his arms as she began crying softly.
“Thank you Jughead,” she whispered. “For everything.”
Jughead found himself admiring her strength. “Don’t keep things from us anymore. Please.”
She nodded. They sat in silence for a few minutes until Jughead noticed (Y/N) had fallen asleep.
“Good night,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to her head as he made sure she was comfortable in his arms.
~~~

When Archie, Betty, and Veronica arrived a few hours later, they were pleasantly surprised to see Jughead lying on (Y/N)’s bed, asleep, with the (H/C) girl curled up in his arms. Quickly snapping a few pictures (because ‘ohmygod how cute are they’) they decided to let them rest, setting up camp in the living room and waiting for them to wake up, vowing to never let any of their friends go through hard times alone ever again.

~~~
Yeaaaa, I didn’t know how to end this and it’s more of a core four x reader than just Juggie. I’M SORRY!
I hope it’s alright and that it met your expectations.
Also asks/requests are open and if you wanna be on the tag list just tell me :)
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed!
Jughead Jones x Reader: Stick With Me
Request:
Hey 😊 Can I request a Jughead x Reader, where Reggie is picking on Jughead and the reader is standing up for him and Reggie is confused, because he and the reader used to be very close and after the incident Jughead thanks her for doing this for him which leads to both of them confessing their feelings for each other and fluffy fluff and aaaw! Thanks in advance
A/N: Sorry not posting for a while having a bit of writers block, hope you guys like it. Hope I lived up to the requestors vison, I’m finally having some breathing time from uni so I hope to upload more requests this week also update my masterlist and tag list.
Words: 1065
Summary: Reggie and reader had a falling out and now you are best friends with Betty, Veronica, Archie, Kevin, and Jughead. Reader has a crush on Jughead.
Spoilers: N/A
Warnings: Pretty sure it has like one curse word.
Growing up in Riverdale wasn’t easy, but you couldn’t complain. You had loyal friends and hard working parents that provided for you.
Being from Riverdale meant you knew everyone from the small town and they knew you.
These days were a bit drama filled only because you were a high school student.
You used to part of the River Vixens Cheryl’s cheerleading squad. You recently quit when you had a falling out with one of your best friends Reggie Mantle. He was the only reason you joined the squad. Being in the squad gave you an excuse to go see your best friend Reggie play knowing your overprotective parents would never let you go to every single game unless you actually had to go.
You thought about staying to keep supporting him, but it just didn’t feel the same so the last game you cheered was the memorial pep rally game for Jason Blossom and you broke the news to Cheryl.
Days passed, you went on with your normal life. Riverdale a bit gloomier since the tragic murder of Jason. With a murderer on the loose your parents accepted your resignation of the team as you lied that you just didn’t feel safe out there. A bit of that was true, but now you no longer had Reggie to protect you either.
You told Betty about your falling out with Reggie since she was your other best friend and she introduced you to her friends. You knew them, but they weren’t big fans of Reggie so you didn’t gain their friendship quickly unlike the new girl Veronica who quickly accepted you.
Time passed and they became like your second family. You were close to them, you could tell them anything, you even helped Jughead with his novel.
Maybe that’s why people say “you win some you lose some.”
They were amazing company and you even became super close with Jughead. Which you were kind of hoping to hit off with him because you secretly had a crush on the brooding novelist.
You’d spend endless nights with him at Pops Diner, and you felt a different safeness with him. He made the butterflies in your stomach do flips and you couldn’t help but smile whenever he was so into his typing he wouldn’t notice your excessive stares. Although you never have the guts to tell him, this was perfect for now.
“So do you think you’ll ever join the squad again?” Betty asked linked in arms with Veronica.
“Yeah, from what I heard you were amazing” Veronica added
“Sorry guys it’s just not a passion anymore” you stated with a small smile.
They gave you smiles and you made your way to an empty hallway.
As you turned you saw though, that it wasn’t empty at all.
Reggie and his Goonies had Jughead pinned to the lockers.
You couldn’t believe your eyes, it was the end of the school day, so there were no teachers to call to put Reggie in his place.
You knew you had to do something, Jughead was your friend.
Although Veronica and Betty weren’t much help, they stood at the end of the hall frozen as you made your way to Reggie.
“Reggie what the fuck!” you yelled anger burning inside of you “put Jug down”
“Why do you care?” Chuck claimed with a devilish smirk.
“He’s my friend and I bet he didn’t do anything to you guys” you spat back as Moose fist was still holding Jughead’s shirt in a fist as Jughead kept his eyes on the floor.
“And you’re so sure?” Reggie finally spoke up.
“Yes, I believe in my friends” you said coldly trying to get a reaction out him, but he just got his guys and walked away.
Jughead fixed himself up as Betty and Veronica came to check up on him.
“You okay Jug?” Betty chimed in as he nodded and you followed Reggie to talk to him about his comment.
“Hey Reg!” you called as he turned your way.
“What now (Y/N)?” Reggie answered.
“Um can we talk?” you pled as he waved off his posse.
“Did Jughead do anything?” you questioned the tall football player.
“Why would you ask me?”
“You were my friend once too, I want to hear your side”
“No he didn’t do anything. Chuck wanted to bug him, I just said that to bother you” Reggie said as Betty, Veronica and Jughead made their way out of the school.
“That’s your cue, bye (Y/N)” Reggie waved.
Later on you met with Jughead at Pops.
“How you doing?” you sled on Jughead’s side of the booth.
“I’m okay, wasn’t the first time you know” Jug kept his eyes on his laptop.
“Sorry about it, Reggie can be difficult” you gave him a smile.
“How’d you do it?” Jughead asked glancing your way.
“Do what?”
“You know, hung around him for so long”
“oh uh- he’s not what he shows the world, he’s actually very sweet, just he lets other ruin him I guess, I really am sorry about him, I’ll try to talk to him” you answered hoping that one day you would be able to fix your differences with Reggie.
“It’s alright”
“No it’s not Jug, you don’t deserve this” you retorted facing him as he grabbed you by the hand.
“I’m the guy, I’m the one who’s supposed to protect you” Jughead proclaimed and you smiled.
“Oh Jug, it’s the 21st century, I think it’s at least fair you let me speak to Reggie and then we can protect each other” he nodded the proximity between you guys becoming very closed until he cupped your check and planted a kiss your lips.
The butterflies in your stomach came to a halt, suddenly everything went dark and it felt like it was just you and Jughead and no one else to bother you. It was the moment you had been waiting for, your lips in sync with his and you were surprised but ecstatic that Jughead returned the way you felt about him.
“How about I just stick with you and you stick with me against the hierarchy that is Riverdale High, what do you say (Y/N) want to stick with me?” Jughead encouraged as he placed his arm around your shoulders.
“I’ll stick with you Jug” you answered placing a quick kiss on his cheeks.
