former criminal

So if McCree is only five years older than Pharah who’s likely around 12 or 13 in that picture (maximum 16) then it kinda stands to reason that McCree’s origin story of “former criminal offered a choice between Overwatch and Jail by Reyes” sound a lot more like “juvenile offender whose life was turned around by Gabriel Reyes who who decided helping him do good in the world was a better idea than just sending him to jail”

10 Things I Loved About Mass Effect:Andromeda

Warning: Spoilers! And I wrote this on the spur, so there might be grammatical errors.

1.      I enjoyed the story. Yeah, people will say it recycles from the trilogy, but come on, people. Why are you surprised? Bioware recycles their plotlines all the time. It’s pretty much the same in all of their games. A protagonist gains special abilities and leads a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits team to defeat a big threat. And I’m not bothered by that. Sometimes familiarity in your franchise is good, just as long as you do new things to the formula, and I think they do.

What interested me the most was the theme of starting over. A lot of people in the Andromeda Initiative were former criminals or outcasts. The reason they joined was to start a new life, and it’s explored in the main questlines, the loyalty quests, and numerous side quests. I was worried about the game talking about colonization since humans are looking for a new home, but I was pleasantly surprised that the game made it clear that Andromeda is the angara’s home first, and humans and other Milky Way species will have to work with them. Thank god! No Mightey Whitey trope this time!

2.      Ryder as the player character. I honestly never thought I would love Ryder as much as I did when I played the game. Sure, no one will ever replace Commander Shepard, but Ryder isn’t meant to replace the Commander, rather show a different perspective in a new story. Commander Shepard is the hero we want to be while Ryder is more of a relatable character. Ryder has to learn through the entire game how to be a leader while going through the obstacles of their inexperience and youth so people will take them seriously. And it was compelling, uplifting, and at times amusing to see them become a hero in their own right and step out of their father’s shadow.

Also Sara and Scott felt like their own person. In the original trilogy, the player character is pretty much the same no matter what gender. But sometimes the dialogue can be different depending on if you play a male Ryder or a female Ryder. That’s because they are two different people who have had their own experiences and personalities. That really adds to the replay value!

3.      Female aliens everywhere! One of my major issues with the original trilogy was the lack of female Turians, krogans, and salarians. Sure we had asari an all-female race, and female quarians, but it felt weird that we met so many aliens with very few ladies. Not only do we get a female Turian squadmate, we also get plenty of lady alien NPCs gathered everywhere for random quests. We also have Kesh who works at the Nexus. And we get to see female salarians! And they kind of look the same as male salarians except with different voices. Thank god! It would’ve been horrifying to see salarians with boobs. Uh! And I’m pretty sure there were just as many female angara NPCs as there were males.

4.      The romances. Especially the queer ones. One of the things I love about Bioware games are the romance paths. Bonus points if there is a queer option. And as of patch 1.08, this game has the most number of queer romances in any Bioware game. I think my two favorite romance paths are with Sara and Vetra and Jaal and Scott. While representation for the LGBT community is improving in media, there’s no denying we still have a long way to go. And after again the crap year 2016 where we had a huge number of queer women characters die in tv shows, it was so wonderful to have a healthy and happy relationship between two women when I first played the game. And even if it wasn’t added until the patch, the romance between Jaal and Scott is absolutely sweet since we see two men show a lot of love and affection for each other which is rare to see in media.

5.      The Tempest Family. I adore every single character on the Tempest, and they really did feel like a family once you played further into the game. I am a sucker for found families, and to see these people who are trying to find a home ending up finding a home with each other just gives me so many feels!

Since there’s not really a huge crew in the ship like in the original trilogy when Shepard had an army of humans. In Andromeda, we have six squad mates, four additional crew members, and Ryder. And I think it made the family more intimate. It’s like our own little family lives on the Tempest.

Also I liked how there were more quests spread out throughout the game with the squad which I think was lacking in Inquisition. Plus. Movie Night is the best scene ever!

6.      In my opinion, the side quests were fun. I think this was one thing they improved from Inquisition. Inquisition side quests just felt like a bunch of fetch quests that got kind of boring pretty quick, and didn’t really add to the overall story. Some highlights from Andromeda were: Kadara, the angara reincarnation questline, the Turian jailed for murder, the anti-AI group, meeting Zaeed’s son, and those kids sending out a distress signal for a new light for their weed plant. HAHA!

They were compelling in their own right and included cut scenes instead of the Inquisitor going to some location like in Skyrim to do a thing come back to the quest giver saying, “I did the thing.” “Ok, good.”

7.      Unlike in Inquisition, there’s actual payoff for some of the quests you do. I don’t mean to be mean to Inquisition, I still love the game, but remember when we were promised that you had to build your forces up in order to defend against the main threat. Yeah, you built forces to get influence points to gain perks, and that’s it.

In Andromeda, while, yes. It’s not the same level as Mass Effect 2. When you actually complete quests and help out leaders, you can get different results during the final battle. Like, there’s a chance Captain Dunn may not survive.

Also, when you get 100% viability on all the planets, you get a special surprise on Habitat 7- being told that it will one day be habitable because of our efforts. Sure it was a side quest, but it just felt so rewarding!

8.      The climax was actually fulfilling and exciting. Again, something else Inquisition was lacking in. Seriously, when I first played Andromeda, I legit gasped when the archon was taking control of SAM node. The villain was actually living up to his threatening nature!

Just when we think we got everything under control, and are about to find Meridian, the Archon fucks shit up, and our sibling has to step up to save the day. Then we have to gather people we helped out and prepare for a final battle, and Ryder can finally prove themselves as a true Pathfinder and kick the Archon’s ass once and for all. People are saying the ending was as disappointing as ME3’s? Pfft…What are you even talking about?

9.      The angara. Bioware never fails to make me love an entire fictional species. Yeah, it feels a bit off that they pretty much have the same faces and the same 3 voice actors, but I really do love their culture. And I appreciate that they were clearly coded as POC while Andromeda didn’t go through with the whole Mighty Whitey Trope. The game wants you to respect their culture and to respect their home.

I love the angaran people are open about their feelings, I love how their religion believes in reincarnation, I love how we see angaran scientists, soldiers, merchants, mercenaries, and civilians. Also Aya and Hivraal are absolutely gorgeous!

And when Jaal finds out his people were created by the Kett, I was worried it was going to go the Dalish elves route, but Jaal points out that it doesn’t change anything about the angara. They are still their own people. And that was such an uplifting message.

10.  The overall light-hearted tone. I wrote a small post that got a good number of notes. (Probably the biggest number I’ve ever gotten), so to quote: “There was always this sense of hope and optimism about finding a new home. ‘Yeah, things may have gone totally wrong, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make them better’ was the overall message I got.

And really, with so many bad things happening in the world right now and too much of our entertainment supposedly being our escapism being dark for the sake of dark, this was something I think a lot of us needed.”

Mass Effect 3 had its light-hearted moments, and I love it, but man, that game was emotional draining.

It’s a bit discouraging to love something so much and get recommended videos on youtube pointing out the same flaws of that certain game, and why they thought it was a huge disappointment. Do I agree with some of their criticisms? Sure. Does the history behind the production explain the flaws? Oh absolutely.

But people seem to forget that the original Mass Effect trilogy wasn’t without its flaws. I mean, sure everyone can agree on the Mass Effect 3 ending, but I could make a list of all the issues I have with the other Bioware games including Dragon Age: Inquisition (which despite winning Game of the Year, kind of suffers the same problems Andromeda had).

So yeah, after the crap year of 2016, I was so excited to get a newly-released game that made me happy. And still makes me happy, and makes me in the mood to play another Ryder.

If the Arthur series were to get a feature film (eg Powerpuff girls, SpongeBob, Hey Arnold, Rugrats) what do you think the plot, tone etc should be like? In detail please?

Following release from prison, Binky Barnes violates his parole by traveling to Elwood City to meet his partner-in-crime and friend Molly MacDonald to propose a caper. The two go to Crown City to pitch the plan to wealthy friend and former casino owner Muffy Crosswire. The plan consists of simultaneously robbing the Bellagio, The Mirage, and the MGM Grand casinos. Muffy’s familiarity with casino security makes her very reluctant to get involved, but when she starts to think of it as a good way to get back at her rival and father, Ed Crosswire, who owns all three casinos, Muffy agrees to finance the operation. Because the casinos are required by the Gaming Commission to have enough cash on hand to cover all their patrons’ bets, the three predict that, on the upcoming night of a highly anticipated boxing match, the Bellagio vault will contain more than $160,000,000.

Binky and Molly recruit eight former colleagues and criminal specialists: Arthur Read, a young and talented pickpocket; Buster Baxter, a casino worker and con man; George and His Dad Lundgren, a pair of gifted mechanics; Alan “The Brain” Powers, an electronics and surveillance expert; Francine Frensky, an explosives expert; Nigel Ratburn, an elderly con man; and “The Amazing” Sue Ellen, an accomplished acrobat. Several of the team members carry out reconnaissance at the Bellagio to learn as much as possible about the security, the routines and behaviors of the casino staff, and the building itself. Others create a precise replica of the vault with which to practice maneuvering through its formidable security systems. During this planning phase, the team discovers that Binky’s ex-friend, Prunella, is Ed Crosswire’s secretary. Molly urges Binky to give up on the plan, believing Binky incapable of sound judgment while Prunella is involved, but Binky refuses.

When the plan is put in motion, Binky goes to the Bellagio in order to be seen by Ed, who, as expected, has him locked in a storeroom to be beaten by a bouncer called Rattles. Rattles, however, is a friend of Binky’s, and he allows him to leave through a ventilation shaft, to meet with his team in the vault. Arthur poses as a gaming commission agent and reveals to Ed that one of his employees is actually Buster Baxter, an ex-con. Arthur and Buster stage a faux confrontation in Ed’s presence so that Arthur can steal the vault access codes written on a piece of paper in Ed’s jacket. Sue Ellen is smuggled into the vault by the Lundgrens to assist in triggering the explosive from the inside. Nigel sneaks explosives into the casino vault by posing as a wealthy international arms dealer who needs especially secure safekeeping for his valuables and then pretends to have a heart attack that draws the security men’s attention away from the vault monitors, and is subsequently treated by Molly posing as a doctor.

Francine activates a stolen EMP device to temporarily disrupt the casino’s electrical power, allowing Arthur and Binky to drop down the elevator shaft undetected. As Ed attempts to restore order following the power outage, Molly anonymously calls him on a cell phone that Binky had earlier planted in Prunella’s coat. Molly tells him that the vaults are being raided and that all the money will be destroyed if Ed does not cooperate in loading half the money into a van waiting outside. Ed observes video footage of the vault that confirms Molly’s claims and complies in moving the money but orders his men to follow the van after it departs and calls a SWAT team to secure the vault and the other half of the money. The SWAT team’s arrival results in a shootout which causes the incineration of the half of the money left in the vault. After assuring Ed that the casino is secure, the officers depart at Ed’s insistence.

Ed’s men following the van discover it is being driven by remote control, and that, instead of money, it contains duffel bags full of flyers advertising The Sugar Bowl. Ed realizes that the vault video feed he had been watching was pre-recorded, as the vault floor in the footage lacked the Bellagio logo, which had only recently been installed. A flashback reveals that Binky had used the vault replica to create the fake video Ed had seen. The rest of the team posed as SWAT officers and took all of the money in the vault when responding to Ed’s call for police assistance. Ed then returns to the room where he left Binky and finds him still there, apparently still being worked over by Rattles, leaving him with no way to connect Binky to the theft. As Prunella watches via security surveillance, Binky tricks Ed into saying he would give up Prunella in exchange for the money. Binky then says, “All right. I know a guy. We were in the joint together. Anybody pulls a job in the western US, he knows about it. Give me 72 hours. I’ll find out who took your money”. Ed orders his men to escort Binky off the premises and inform the police that he is violating his parole by being in Crown City. Prunella leaves Ed and exits the hotel just in time to see Binky arrested. The rest of the team bask in the victory, silently going their separate ways one-by-one. When Binky is released after serving time for his parole violation, he is met by Molly and Prunella, and they drive off, closely followed by Ed’s bodyguards.

This scene was really nice for many reasons. First off, Ryuji and Akira decided to stay together during this assembly. This could very well have been their expulsion day and if they’re going down, they’ll do it together. Ryuji and Ann, but more often Ryuji, have been worrying if their efforts in Kamoshida’s palace actually worked. The boys choosing to stay together during this point is such a telling sign of their feelings of closeness. In a short period of time Ryuji offered to sacrifice himself so Akira could escape the palace, but he stayed behind. Ryuji also decided to go back with Akira even though he lacked any persona abilities. We’ve seen them together pretty much daily. We also saw him bristle at Ann when he thought she might be threatening towards Akira. I think this all stems from the fact that Akira was the first person to walk into his life and show him kindness. It’s been around a year since Kamoshida broke Ryuji’s leg and dismantled the track team. Ryuji seems to hint that he hasn’t had much of a social life since then and is pretty much a pariah at that school. During his social link, Ryuji lets Akira know all of the good he does for him. It’s nice to see how Ryuji unashamedly admits that Akira makes him into a better person.

On the flip side, I think that he does the same for Akira. The player gets no hint of Akira’s former life before his criminal record. Neither friends nor family attempt to contact him. He is alone when he comes to this place. He is also a pariah as soon as he steps foot in the door. This place doesn’t want him, yet Ryuji does in his own awkward way. It’s the first real welcome that he has gotten to this space. Ryuji is the first ally, friend, and companion he gets and I think that shakes him a little bit. This is the strongest point of contact he has and maybe the first bit of hope he has that this situation may turn out for the better, especially when their efforts are rewarded.

The Legend of Korra followed, for four seasons, a combative, kind, pugnacious, cheerful, compassionate, and above all, complicated young woman. She is visibly muscular, dark-skinned, and struggles with mental illness. She is, by divine right, the most powerful person on earth. Her story is further dominated by women of color: international leaders and housewives, children and the elderly, villains and saviors, married and single, docile and taciturn. These women were spiritual leaders, military dictators, police chiefs, heads of state, former criminals, and more. In the show’s final moments, our heroine is heavily implied to be bisexual as she walks off into her happy ending hand in hand with a gorgeous young captain of industry.

This was a cartoon on Nickelodeon.

You no longer get to complain about how hard it is to create female characters.

Name: Jearinne Doylie
Birth name: Orianna Elize Dalion
Nickname(s): Jear (Cher) & Rinne (Fairy Tail members). Kid, Ori, Orian, Missy, Erisu & Brat (Neo Serpent). Witch (Public as a mercenary).
Age: 17, After 1 year-time-skip 18.
Magic: Incantation.
Likes: Cute and soft/fluffy things.
Dislikes: Her smile.

Guild: Neo Serpent (Formerly). Fairy Tail.
Guild Mark: White.
Guild Mark location: A bit above her left angle.
Team: NewAge. She says none, though she tends to team-up with Mileena.
Teammates: Prince and Mileena. However Mileena has her idol work and so Jearinne tends to go on lots of solo missions.
Relatives: Antonietta Dalion (mother) Pieron Dalion (father). Neo Serpent (people that helped raise her).
Status: Active
Occupation: Dark guild member (Formerly), Mercenary (Formerly). Mage

Personality:
She seems mysterious and quiet, which she normally is. However those things breaks down upon seeing something cute, where she turns energetic and excited or when together with Mileena, as she feels relaxed around her and thus has her guard down. When her guard is down, her feelings are as clear as the difference between day and night. She is very protective of her friends. She likes children and is very gentle to others, however she is also too honest and can sound very rude sometimes. She is a determined person and doesn’t back down easily form her decisions and goes all out using all of her effort in everything, but that is only when determined and interested, else she is a kind of unmotivated and lazy person with no opinion at all. She is very sensitive about her smile and completely refuses to take off her mask in front of kids. Her mood can easily change and get influenced by other people and tends to cover in a corner in utter sadness when saddened as well as get all excited when happy. Of course this means that she would quickly resort to fighting when angered. In other words, she is very emotional.

History
She was a child born within a dark guild. She was raised by them, but then one day on the job she was left behind and captured. She managed to escape, but chose not to return to her guild, as she felt abandoned by them. Jearinne then became a freelance mercenary and treasure hunter for hire, till Mileena went out on a mission to capture her. However during the chase, some kids got into danger and before Mileena could even decide to save the kids, Jearinne went ahead and saved them, got a twisted angle out of it though. After seeing this Mileena caught Jearinne, but instead of turning her in, she offered Jearinne a chance for her to change her way, which she chose to do. Jearinne went and was given her current name by Mileena, who thought that she needed a fake name. Jearinne changed her full-face mask for one that only covers her mouth and changed her hairstyle to not be recognized and joined Fairy Tail where she found a new home and new family.

   Trivia:

   -       Her eyes changes color after the lighting. When it is dark or cloudy they are light grey, while when in the light they are light blue
   -       As a mercenary, she used to wear a ceramic mask to hide her face, and a wig and cloak to hide her physique and hair
   -       She likes being alone, but never being left alone, when among others.
   -       She wears a mask, because she once scared chlidren due to her teeth.
   -       She and Mileena are roommates.
   -       She has sister complex-like feelings towards Mileena.
   -       Mileena gave her name to her, as she needed a new one.
   -       She has a hard time saying no.
   -       She hates the fact she used to be from a dark guild.
   -       Her past is hidden from everyone, but the guild.
   -       She is still wanted.
   -       She gets into a state, like brain augmentation when focusing.
   -       She has a pet bird, named Prince, that helps her and she is capable of linking their sight, as well as transform it into a phoenix or tengu through incantation.

Incantation:
(This is a magic that I thought up)
Incantation is a magic that gives the user the ability to chant various words and combine them to create a magic through a magic seal. For instance the words, “fire”, “earth”, “stars”, “boulders”, “speed” and “fall” will together form a circle where small meteorites will come out from and the words “air”, “wind”, “fire” and “spin” would create a tornado engulfed in flames. The bigger the circle created the bigger the magic can be, which can be from a simple palm to a big field. Each word will appear as a symbol before the user’s finger and be if intended be left in the air, till all the words intended have appeared, where they then will connect and create the circle the magic will appear from. This magic requires atleast three symbols/words and can’t be formed/used if they aren’t present. The words also have to be precise enough or else the magic will not work. This form of magic can be used as elemental, creating, summoning, enhancing/healing and practical magic, as long as the right words and knowledge is present.

anonymous asked:

your opinion on plastic man being portrayed as a pervert in some comics?

Hate it. Hate it soooooooooooo much. I can’t tell exactly when this started but it’s the worst. I’ve seen examples of it in two actual DC comics (the time he was Barda’s dress and the time he was a wall lamp to peep on Wonder Woman) but I honestly think it’s been blown up and mostly propagated from there by fan art. Somewhere along the way folks took Plas from former criminal –> sleazeball –> horndog pervert creep. I can’t stand it. I don’t think it’s actually in character and I hate seeing him be represented as that gross.

Thing that I noticed:

We have Meredith Quill, who is loved with abandon by her son to the point where he calls her “the best woman” even twenty-six years later, and who even managed to make the most egoistical Celestial fall in love with her (at least to a certain degree) to the point where he almost, almost abandoned his purpose.

And we have Peter Quill, who was adored by his mum, and somehow managed to gather a colorful family of Ravagers, thugs, assassins, killers and colossuses around himself, who love him to the point where they will take on the galaxy together with him, and he gained the favor from the Nova Empire despite being a former criminal.

Conclusion – nobody, ever, can resist the charm of the Quills.

How do you think a Lawful Good rogue would work?

Who better to catch a thief than one who knows all the tricks of the trade? Who picks locks only to make harder, even more unpickable locks? Who knows just how to put the screws to a syndicate by knowing all the necessary tradecraft, and keeps ahead by constantly reinventing their own? Who knows the language, and can get people talking where a straight laced copper can’t.

The world’s first private detective, Vidocq, who was also a spymaster and chief of police before he “retired”, was a former fugitive and career criminal. Much of his legacy and techniques are still practiced today. So it’s much less of a hassle imagining a rogue on the other side of the law than you might think.

But perhaps you should ask Rogue these sort of questions. I’m just a humble paladin.

BREAKING: Trump Has Pardoned [Criminal] Former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio
By David Mack

President Donald Trump on Friday pardoned former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio, rewarding a vocal political supporter who was convicted of contempt of court for refusing to halt a policing tactic to catch undocumented immigrants.

The controversial 85-year-old former Maricopa County sheriff, who lost re-election in 2016 after 23 years in office, was found guilty of criminal contempt in July for defying a federal judge’s order to stop detaining people based on suspicion of their immigration status when there was no evidence that they had broken a state law…

Though federal authorities are tasked with enforcing immigration laws, Arpaio ordered his deputies to check the legal status of people they encountered. Deputies were instructed to arrest undocumented individuals and turn them over to immigration authorities for deportation, even if they had committed no crime other than lacking documentation.

When the ACLU sued Arpaio, accusing him of conducting racial profiling and violating the constitution, a federal district judge ordered the sheriff in 2011 to halt the practice. When Arpaio publicly refused to do so, the judge found him to be in civil contempt of court and recommended the criminal charge.

In July, another federal judge convicted him of contempt of court, finding Arpaio had shown a “flagrant disregard” for the law and had “"willfully violated the [2011] order…”

“It seems as though [Republicans] say, ‘Rule of law for me, but not for you. Opportunity for us, but not for you. Amnesty for Arpaio, but not for the hard-working,’” Artemio Muniz, chair of the Texas Federation of Hispanic Republicans, told BuzzFeed News this week.

5x22 Moving Targets  Directed by Lucy Liu!

When a reality show contestant is murdered, Sherlock and Joan zero in on another competitor as a suspect, a former war criminal who may be the most skilled killer they’ve ever pursued.  For the first time since he attacked Sherlock, Shinwell reaches out to Joan to ask for a favor.

Ereri fic recs!

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now but finally got to it lmao. All of these are really, really good fics (hence why they are here lol) but I’ve marked my absolute favorites with ***. All of these are from AO3 and are complete. They’re mostly short with a few longer ones mixed in. Enjoy?

***Thank You For The Daisies by suagrplumsensei under 1k, absolute and pure fluff

Levi and Eren are dating.

Since the authorities wouldn’t approve, they are trying to be discreet about it.

taking flight by candycity 1k+, crack, wing!fic

“Touch his wings. I dare you.”

In which Levi has (really pretty) wings, Jean is an asshole and Eren can’t resist a dare.

***Aprés Toi by synergenic (Losseflame) 3k, angst with the smallest hint of fluff, trigger warning for self-harm

Eren can fill the bathtub with his blood twice before he passes out.

(I have to add, this is my favorite favorite ereri fic ever, but a fair warning, it tugs at your heartstrings real bad)

You’re Not The Ordinary Type by chasingthebooty 20k+, fluff

Levi’s a mafia member who has a thing for the cutie who serves out bakery bread and wears short skirts.

***there’s magic between you and me by driedupwishes 1k + 3k, fluff, hogwarts!AU

It made sense to Levi and always had, Eren’s sorting. He didn’t understand why it kept coming up, especially since they were in their sixth year at school, but apparently some people didn’t know when to drop a topic.

And the sequel, everything you do is magic (kiss me once now I can’t leave)

five years time by cottontale 3k+, fluff and humor

Eren hadn’t realized how touchy he was with Levi until he couldn’t touch him anymore.

Or the one where Eren is a touch starved soldier and his Captain accidentally fixes it.

Don’t Let Me Down by SailorHeichou 20k+, kid!fic, mostly fluff

Levi is a twenty-three-year-old runaway raising his six-year-old cousin, Mikasa, after escaping from their abusive alcoholic Uncle several years before.
Now a young man, Levi works two jobs just to support Mikasa and himself. With a string of failed relationships behind him, Levi pours himself into working to make sure Mikasa can live comfortably. With a six-year-old child to support, Levi firmly believes he is better off alone but his friends all think otherwise.

Enter Eren Jaeger. It’s love at first sight but Levi stubbornly refuses to act on his feelings. Can Hanji and their friends, including one very attractive Eren Jaeger, convince Levi that it’s okay for him to try to be happy despite his broken past?

Nape by ryuusea 4k+, PWP (had to get one of these in here lmao)

Levi wonders if it is ironic or just pure coincidence that Eren’s weakest spot is the back of his neck. He licks one, two stripes across that exposed nape, then another up, then down, reveling in how this always turns Eren into a keening mess in his arms.

***An Unlikely Alliance by Moonsoon 110k+, slow build-ish, fluff

When Scouting Legions main trading partner, Wall Maria, is experiencing economic strain from constant attacks by the neighboring kingdom Titan, the leaders of the two nations come to an agreement: Scouting Legion will provide military protection in exchange for land and financial aid for the still growing nation.

Their new alliance will be sealed with the union of King Jaegar’s son Eren to the Scouting legions strongest soldier, Lance Corporal Levi. But how will the cold, impassive soldier warm to his new husband, who is far from the weak, spoiled princess he was expecting?

***Guardian Angel by artenon 3k+, wing!fic, fluff-ish?

He’d been in this same situation before, not too long ago, except now he was the one chained up and behind bars. And, fuck, did it hurt, because these were the two comrades he trusted the most, and Erwin was looking at him with a guarded, wary expression, and Hange was staring at him with the light of science in her eyes, analyzing him like he was one of her experiments.

(I absolutely adore this writer I would fetch the moon for her. If you’re even remotely interested in Haikyuu, I would highly recommend to check out her Kurotsukki fics as well!)

Want by artenon 1k+, fluff

Eren sits on the edge of the bed. Levi waits for him to lie down next to him so they can sleep, but Eren just continues to stare at the floor. He looks like he’s working up the nerve to say something, so Levi waits patiently, and sure enough, Eren turns to him a minute later and opens his mouth.

“Have you ever thought about sex?”

they say that an end can be a start by uro_boros 2k+, fluff i quess?

“But I recognize the signs of someone who’s running away from something.”

Eren’s head tilts on his shoulder, craning back to look at Levi. “Why?” he says, the line of his mouth dark and unamused. “You running from something?”

(or the one where Eren’s homeless and Levi’s neurotic. They make it work)

***Fairy Tales by surveycorpsjean 50k+, slow build-ish, ModernPrince!Au, mostly fluff

Eren is found discouraged and homeless, when he is offered a job as a maid by a stranger. He does the one thing he tells himself not to do; fall in love with the prince.

The (Last) Name Of The Game by missmichellebelle youtuber!Au, pure fluff

“Hey guys, Jaegerbomb here, and, due to very high demand—like, actually, I’m a little floored by how many of you were asking me for this—I give you the much anticipated… Boyfriend tag!”

What’s New, Pussycat? by Lucyndareads 30k, Cat!Levi, basically crack, fluff and smut in a pretty package

Apparently Eren is now living with a neurotic, possessive, clean freak, shapeshifting cat man.

Kinky.

Another Time, Another Place by appleapple 50k, angst-ish with little fluff

The one where they have to pretend to be married.

***Moments Of Grace by orphan_account 20k+, angst, kid!fic

“It’s not going to be an easy road,” Levi said, “but the right path never is. Do you regret taking custody? Do you regret your daughter?”

“No!” Eren said, anger flashing across his face.

“Good. Remember that on the days when you’re struggling.”

My Home Is Where Your Heart is by bfketh 15k, kid!fic, fluff, light angst

Single father Levi is left scrambling to find an after school daycare for his daughter, Mikasa, when his regular babysitter announces that her husband’s job is being relocated. The only problem - they’re all far more expensive than he can afford.

The solution to his dilemma comes in the form of a college student, Eren, who will do it for a fraction of the cost - as long as Levi will save him from a steady diet of ramen and pop-tarts by feeding him dinner every night before he leaves.

Darkest Before Dawn by ellewrites 3k, angst

Levi wasn’t sure how long he’d been asleep when he was torn from the endless darkness of his mind by a deep, disturbing groan. Eren’s body jerked roughly, his nails digging painfully into Levi’s upper arm. Levi was disoriented for a moment as he sat up, unsure of what was happening. Eren dug his fingers in harder, a sob caught in his throat as he begged – “Please don’t go.”

***This Charming Man (series) by Plexus (toitsu) combined: 4k+, angst, angst, angst

Eren Yeagar is a problematic high school student who is faced with expulsion unless he enrolls into some kind of community service program. Since he is not that stupid, thank you very much, he decides to go with it.

The program he’s enrolled into puts high schoolers to work in the homes of elderly and disabled people who don’t have any family or friends, helping them with housekeeping, errands and suchlike. No big deal. He expects to end up cleaning house for some sweet little elderly lady with a lot of cats, or at worst a crotchety grandpa.

He doesn’t expect Levi.

Home Sweet Home (series) by ferric combined: 15k+, kid!fic, (if you’re looking for heavy Ereri I wouldn’t recommend this one as it mostly focuses on young!Eren)

Levi raising a young Eren.

***Chasing Disaster by freshia 4k, fluff, a bit of humor

Eren crashes into Levi’s life. Literally. And he takes out a fence and a mailbox along the way.

A Tenuous Third Space by artenon 14k, fluff

In which Attack on Titan is the MMORPG they all play, and Eren meets Levi online.

Ashes by scarrletmoon 1k+, angst, reincarnation!Au

Levi is a former criminal who has recently been released from prison. Eren is in his final year of high school when the two finally meet.

Little Titan Cafe by pocketsizedtitan 65k+ slow build, fluff

Just another cliche AU in which Eren works as a barista in his mother’s café, specializing in latte art. And then there’s Levi, who’s not exactly your typical patron, because, well, he’s blunt and rude (which Eren supposes isn’t that much different from regular customers) but mostly he just confuses Eren’s poor little homosexual heart.

***Playing Favorites by Ketita 6k+, pure tooth-rotting fluff

In which Levi seems determined to spoil Eren rotten, whether he likes it or not.

(For the record, Eren hadn’t expected his confession to lead to this sort of thing at all).

***The October Story by angstwithtea 55k, fluuuff, cat!levi

It all started on October first. The day that Eren found that strange little cat alone in the street outside the thrift store. Everything afterwards might have been coincidental. Or fate. Some might say that crossing paths with a black cat is bad luck. But for Eren, things weren’t so certain. In fact, finding that cat may have been the best thing that ever happened to him.

Help Me Stand by ichigoangel 170k+, heavy angst, please read the trigger warnings

Eren’s best childhood friend and high school boyfriend, Armin, dies in a car accident in which Eren had been the one at the wheel. Unable to keep from blaming himself, life itself becomes agonizing for Eren and he turns to the more negative side of coping mechanisms. Eventually, he meets a college student named Levi who seems like he has it all figured out, just to discover that they have more in common than he thought. Modern!AU.

Also, Levi has a motorcycle because it was definitely necessary.

***Shattered Façade by kylar 40k+, heavy angst, trigger warnings for domestic abuse, self-harm and cheating

After being disowned by his homophobic father during his senior year of high school, Eren’s only option was to move in with his boyfriend, Reiner. But Reiner soon became possessive and controlling of Eren, and it turned into an abusive relationship. Five years later, Reiner’s control over Eren is complete, until one night they meet a detective who will shatter Eren’s happy façade.

Trompe-l'œil by appleapple 10k+, angst and a whole lot of misunderstandings

He has never minded the bitterness at the bottom of the cup

The Misanthrope by kazuma85 25k+, fluff and angst

The story is set in an AU world where Eren was only a child when the humanity won against Titans. When he’s fifteen, he meets Levi, humanity’s introverted hero, who is not exactly the kind of person people believe he is.
