Prompt: soulmate au where the name of your soulmate is tattooed on your wirst

F/N  L/N

In all the millennia he’d been alive Thor had no idea how many times he’d looked at that name — the one written in black elegant script on his wrist.

He’d memorized it by now and didn’t even need to look at it to remember the words.

Alex Hirsch's words at the "Animation Game Changers" panel, CTN Expo 2016
  • <p> <b>Hirsch:</b> [...] I mean, it's so amazing to be at this panel right now, cause it's like: "Oh, let's interview the giants [Butch Hartman, Craig McCracken, Lauren Faust], and now let's interview the ants standing on their shoulders [himself and Rebecca Sugar]". Like, the reason I knew at school that making a show was something you could do was because when I was in high school I was watching shows like Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Fairly Odd Parents, Invader Zim, whatever-- name it... and all of these were people who, you know, not that long ago had also been students, who then pitched something and who made it. So they had cut with a machette, you know, the path through the jungle, and it was there.<p/><b></b> And the weird thing to me when I was at college was that nobody-- most of the people I was friends with, they didn't care. I was like "guys, there's a path, through this dark jungle, to running your own show!" and they were like [funny voice] "yeah, but I wanna design a prop for Pixar."<p/><b></b> [laughter]<p/><b></b> And like, they didn't think of it as something cool, as if...<p/><b>Tony Bancroft:</b> 'cuz it was easier, is that why?<p/><b>Hirsch:</b> I mean, it still-- there's a bit of that persp-- I think people think that Feature[ film]s are prestigious and that TV is, I mean, you know. Just look at... Moana's got the main room and it's, like-- you guys could be there, listening to some guy say like: "Uhh yeah, here's an anecdote about the Rock. I met him. He's nice." WHO CARES?! [motions towards Butch Hartman, Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust] These people shaped Animation History!<p/></p>

I wanted a Lottie La Bouff icon so I was going through screencaps of the movie and I will forever be marveled at how freakin’ relatable this girl is compared to other Disney girls when it comes to attempting to look decent during a ball, I mean

making weird faces while applying make up

adjusting boobs

sweating “like a sinner in church”

make up mess after ugly cry of desperation and stress

gosh I love Lottie

“The Hullk?”

For the longest time Bruce didn’t understand why those would be his soulmate’s first words. Then, the accident happened and it became all too clear. From then on he tried to avoid looking at the tattoo— but sometimes it was unavoidable.

Open letter to DC Comics

Dear DC,

You have recently announced your Rebirth lineup of comics. Now I’m sure this isn’t a comprehensive list but there’s nothing really…uh

It’s more of the same. Isn’t it?

And I get it, you’re DC comics. You need Superman, you need Batman, you need Wonder Woman. I get that. Marvel needs the X-men, Spider-man, Iron Man etc. I get that.

But remember the 1st wave of Marvel Now comics?

Yeah sure, it’s had stuff like Morbius; the living vampire a book I barely remember being a thing. Yeah ok, it had Fearless Defenders which suffered from multiple tie-ins and perhaps not having enough big name characters front and centre. But it had Captain Marvel, an all female X-men team, and the Young Avengers.

There’s probably more I could mention. Marvel didn’t look at the failures of the Red She-Hulk, and Fearless Defenders. and went “No one cares about female superheroes” they looked at the Success of Captain Marvel, X-men and the popularity of Kate Bishop and America Chavez and went “HOLY SHIT! People want this!”

Marvel Now wave 2 had an even more diverse line up. Again some of these books weren’t pushed as much as they should have, some of these failed because they were bad, but some were really successful.

Marvel have continued to take big risks. Sam Wilson is Captain America. Jane Foster is Thor. This, for now, seems to be a status quo. Carol Danvers will likely never be Ms.Marvel ever again. She’s Captain Marvel probably forever. A pakistani muslim girl is one of Marvel’s most prominent Teen heroes. A Latina lesbian is the other one.

Marvel could do better, sure. But Marvel aren’t afraid of risk. Marvel will put out a solo-title of a C-list hero with no fucks given. Theres a Howard the Duck comic, DC. Howard the fucking Duck.

You aren’t giving us anything…risky. It’s all…tried and tested.

I’m not saying don’t have a Batman book. I’m not saying stop your Harley Quinn book. What I am saying?

Well. Here are a few of my ‘obscure’ favourites from DC comics I’d like to see you take risks on.

I mean this isn’t a comprehensive list. Just throwing some ideas out there. Some of these characters are barely even obscure really.

You need to take a punt on some of your lesser known characters. Take a shot.

P.S. Also a Batwoman book. come the fuck you piece of shit company.

Read part one here and part 2

The disaster was caused by a day at the pool.

There were no lakes or rivers– really no bodies of water at all close by and the nearest pool was nearly an hour away so swimming was very rare— thankfully for Peter.

He had a hard-enough time trying to hide the tatoo from you without that worry added onto everything else.
