for some reason when i saw her walk to the ring like that i wanted to do this

anonymous asked:

I'm going through a real rough patch and if you want to write something cheerful you have no idea how grateful I'd be.

Flash sidled up to Superman on one of the Watchtower’s mezzanines, leaning against a rail. They looked at each other sidelong, then away.

“Wanna hear my new time?” Flash asked sideways, swaying as he alternated which foot held his weight, hands on his hips.

“There’s no way you beat my time,” Superman muttered, his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes were in the other direction, and both men went silent as the Lanterns walked too close. Superman and Flash gave them a nod of acknowledgment, then waited for them to be at a safe distance.

“Nine seconds.”

“What!” Superman dropped his arms, whipped his head around to where Flash was grinning and bouncing on his heels. “No way.”

Flat,” Flash said.

“There’s no way.”

“Check my heartbeat if you don’t believe me,” Flash said, tapping his insignia with his thumb. Then he frowned. “Actually, don’t, I’m pretty excited about this so my pulse is probably crazy.”

His heart always sounded like an angry hummingbird trapped between his lungs, but Barry was also a notoriously terrible liar, so it wasn’t as relevant as it could have been.

Dangit,” Superman said, crossing his arms again. He leaned back to scope out the area around them. No one seemed to be paying them much mind. “What time?”

“Eleven on a Saturday,” Flash said, looking even more smug. “You know I don’t mess around.”

“Tch!” Superman made an irritated sound, licking his canines. Then he snapped his fingers. “You forgot about–”

“Nnnope,” Flash interrupted. “I’m including the new ones in that, that’s the whole reason we had to reset our times, otherwise I’d still be at seven-point-four.”

Tch.” Superman drummed his fingers against his bicep. “Nine seconds,” he repeated, torn between irritation and awe.

“You know what that means,” Flash said, waggling his eyebrows.

Superman sighed. “Alright, where are we going?”

“I want soup.”

“Uh-huh.” Superman waited. Flash was waiting for him to ask. Superman was not going to give him the satisfaction.

“… in Saigon.”

“You’ve been watching Bourdain again,” Superman accused.

“It looked like really good soup!” Flash said, defensive.

“Fine,” Superman said, “but I am going to beat your time, and when I do–”

“Beat what, now?” Wonder Woman asked, having managed to approach them while they were distracted by negotiations.

“Nothing!” Flash and Superman said at once.

“We were just talking,” Superman said.

“About stuff,” Flash added unnecessarily. “Private, personal, man stuff.”

Wonder Woman’s eyebrows shot up. She was close enough for her lariat to hum on her hip. She looked Flash over. Flash started to turn red.

“Okay bye!” Flash said, and he was gone in a streak of red.

“Superman?” Wonder Woman asked.

“I should, uh. Hal…”

He wasn’t actually making any definitive statements, just stringing words together, and yet somehow it still managed to ring false. She watched him go, putting her hands on her hips.

She could practically sense it when Batman came up beside her, even quiet as he was.

“Do you want to know what they were talking about.”

“Do you know?” she wondered. He said nothing, so she turned to look at his face. It was as expressionless as ever, but she got the impression that he did not consider the question worthy of dignifying with a response.

He was Batman. He would never be so rude as to say ‘of course’ – but of course he knew.

“I wouldn’t want to invade his privacy,” Wonder Woman said cautiously.

“He’d tell you if you really asked,” Batman said. “They just like feeling like they have a special thing.”

“Oh.”

“Flash, especially.”

“I see.” She tapped on her lower lip as she watched Superman talk to one of the Green Lanterns. “So what’s the special thing?”

“Pick me up in the plane on Saturday and I can show you.”

She froze. Slowly, she turned to look at him. As always, being able to see him helped not at all. “Like a date?” she asked.

The corner of his mouth twitched. “More like a stakeout.”

“That could be like a date.” She was mostly saying it to tease him. Sometimes if she did it right, he turned pink and had to find a shadow to hide in.

“It’s usually not.”

“Why not?”

“I’m usually with the kids.”

“Oh!” Her eyes widened. “I didn’t mean–”

“It’s fine.”

She put her hand out to rest on his shoulder. “I would never imply–”

“I know.”

She took her hand back. “I’ll behave,” she assured him.

“You don’t have to,” he said, and she grinned.

“I’ll pick you up at ten,” she said, and she gave him an exaggerated wink as she walked away.

“It’s a date,” he murmured.

Why,” Wonder Woman asked, “are we in Florida?”

Batman was sitting beside her, and the plane was in a low hover. “Because as far as anyone can tell, this is the single biggest and busiest Walmart in the world.”

“I don’t think that explains as much as you think it does,” she said.

Batman held up a phone. A clock took up most of the screen. 10:59. “Watch,” he said, and he pointed out to the parking lot, vast and terrifying and teeming with people. She watched, and she had no idea how she was supposed to see anything in the crowd.

Finally, she spotted it. The motion too quick to be anything mortal. Would anyone on the ground notice anything more than a strong breeze?

“Oh! It’s the–” She snapped her fingers, couldn’t remember the word.

“Carts,” Batman supplied.

“Yes!”

In almost no time at all, every cart in the parking lot had been returned to one of the designated corrals. Batman pointed to something that he must have been using technology in his mask to see, because otherwise his eyes should not have been good enough. Wonder Woman was much better equipped to see Superman, standing beneath a tree and checking a stopwatch and scowling. He did some kind of motion with his arms and one leg that suggested he’d have thrown his hat to the ground, if he’d been wearing one.

“They introduced new carts,” Batman explained. “They don’t fit with the other ones, so it slows them down. Ruined their whole system.”

“They had a system?” she asked, giggling.

“No, here,” he said, tapping her arm to point again. “This is the best part. He’s frustrated.”

That’s the best part?”

“Watch what he does.”

She watched. Superman was gone again, more impossible-to-follow motion through the crowd. Things were moving. Large things.

“He’s fixing the cars!” she said, clapping her hands together.

“He’s fixing bad parking jobs,” Batman confirmed. “Because he’s mad.” There was a brief crooked curve to his mouth.

“He moved that one to a different space!”

“Illegally parked in a handicapped spot.”

“How fun.” Wonder Woman watched the people wandering through the lot, wondered how many of them had noticed what was happening and how many had disregarded it as nothing worth noticing. “Flash is the winner of this contest, then?”

“Consistently.”

“Is there a prize?”

“Clark buys him lunch. Usually somewhere he saw on a food show, since he can’t normally do that.”

“Why not?”

“Hm?”

“Barry can run anywhere, can’t he?” she asked. “I see no reason he couldn’t run to these places on his own.”

“He doesn’t like being alone in foreign countries,” Batman explained. “It makes him anxious.”

“Oh.” She returned her gaze to the parking lot. “How nice, then, that it all works out.” She frowned. “Is this weird?” she asked. “Spying on our friends like this.”

“I don’t think I’m the right person to ask.”

“Do you do this often?” she wondered. “Watch people have fun without you?”

“Define 'often’.”

Wonder Woman held up a finger in warning. “Zatanna taught me a trick.”

“That doesn’t sound good.”

“She says that if you ask me to define the parameters, it means the answer is bad.”

Before he could respond, there was a thump.

Superman was standing on the nose of the invisible jet.

He tapped a knuckle on the glass, until Diana opened the hatch. “Hello!” she said cheerfully.

“What are you two doing here?” Clark asked.

“We’re on a date!” Diana said.

“We’re not on a date,” Batman said.

“If you’re not on a date, can you give me a ride?”

“You’re out of our way,” Batman said.

“Nah, just drop me off in Gotham,” Clark said, slipping inside the plane, awkwardly floating between the two front seats into the back.

“You don’t even need a ride,” Bruce said, having to fit himself as far as possible into the edge of his seat so that Clark would have room to get by. “You can fly.”

“Yeah, and you can walk, but I don’t see you giving up the Batmobile.” Clark made himself comfortable in the back seat as Diana closed up the plane. “I’m craving Dimitri’s.”

“You’re too sober for Dimitri’s,” Bruce said.

“I’m always sober. You’re lucky I can tell this wasn’t a real date, or I would be really creeped out by the whole spying on me thing.”

“Don’t tell Barry we know about your special thing,” Diana said, pulling the plane out of its hover to ascend. “I don’t want to ruin it for him.”

“I won’t,” Clark assured her. “Hey, you know where we should go while we’re here?”

“No,” said Bruce.

“Where?” asked Diana.

“No,” said Bruce.

“Disney World!”

“No.”

Diana gasped.

“No.”

Clark put a hand on Bruce’s shoulder. “You can’t have come all the way to Florida just to see me,” he coaxed.

“I’m banned from Walmart, strongly discouraged from visiting Disney parks, and my parents are dead. I have no other reason to visit Florida.”

Y/N couldn’t keep her lips from forming into a smirk as she saw Derek’s picture appear on her phone. She had just moved back to Beacon Hills earlier today into her new apartment. She had spent most of the day unpacking her boxes, and was already in bed watching a movie on her laptop. She quickly swiped her thumb across the phone and answered. “Hello, stranger. It’s after midnight. No guy ever calls a girl after midnight except for one-"

"Y/N…” Derek interrupted followed by a loud growl. Y/N could hear Derek’s heartbeat going crazy and his labored breathing. What caught her attention was hearing another heartbeat. “I need you."

His voice was filled with worry, which caused Y/N to sit up straight in her bed alarmed. "Derek, where are you?”

“I don’t know…” he whispered unexpectedly. He no longer sounded like he was in pain or fighting against someone. He now sounded weak and hurt.

“Derek, I need you to talk to me. What do you see?” She asked as she quickly got out of bed to get dressed.

“I can’t… see anything…” he mumbled. She rushed as she heard his heartbeat getting weaker by the second.

She swallowed hard as she closed her eyes, letting a tear fall down her cheek. She was absolutely terrified for him. “Derek… I’m going to come and get you, okay? But I need to call Stiles to help me. Can you answer the phone if I call you back?”

“My phone… is going to die…”

“Fuck!” She whispered to herself. She put on her shoes as an idea crossed her mind. “After you hang up with me, turn off your phone and save the battery for about 10 minutes. That’ll be about the time it will take me to get to Stiles’ office at the police station. I’ll call you back but you have to answer, okay?”

“O… kay…” he mumbled weakly.

“Derek?” Her voice trembled. He hummed a small ‘yes’. “Please answer the phone."

"I promise,” he said before he hung up and turned off his phone like he was told to do.

Y/N grabbed her keys before rushing to her car. Her fingers trembled as she dialed Stiles’ number. For some strange reason a flashback flooded her mind to the first time she went to Stiles for help with Derek.

Change.

You’ve never despised a word so much in your god damn life. It mocks you, rips every little aggravation from the world and throws it right into your fucking face. It’s turned your life completely and totally upside down. Then it spun you the fuck around just to make sure you’re officially screwed.

Having just moved from New York two weeks ago, you can now call Nashville home. Forget a different state, you feel like you’re in a freaking different reality. The friendly residents alone throw you for a loop. You’re slightly convinced that they have some ulterior motive. Then again considering the shady fuckers in your past, you could just be paranoid.

Growing up in a big city has given you a tough exterior that the men around here seem to be intimated by. It must be the way you carry yourself, also the permanent bitch face that you’ve acquired over the years.

Attraction To A Stranger [Jason Todd x Reader]

I got this prompt from a post by @otpprompts: “Person A sees Person B in the waiting room of an airport and tries to get in touch with them without actually talking, eventually managing to slip a paper with their number in the book Person B was reading. How all of this happens is up to you. Bonus if Person C is the one helping Person A.“

A/N: When you think you write too much for Jason but then remember that’s not possible. (Fem Reader)

________

Jason was sitting, bored as all hell, in the seats outside his gate. Roy sat next to him hat pulled over his face, trying to get a few minutes shut eye. Jason sighed leaning into the back of his seat, just people watching.

He was unamused by anyone until a [h/c] haired girl with the most stunning [e/c] eyes sat in an open chair across from where he was. You had a set of headphones in, completely oblivious to anyone and everyone around you. Observing as you would gaze at the gate and check your watch.

Jason found you absolutely stunning. Every move you made entranced him. Even more amazing when he saw you pull out a book he found to be one of his favorites. Watching as you turn each page eagerly, looking forward to how the plot continues onto the next page.

He just wanted to get up, sit in the seat next to you, and strike up a conversation. But for some reason he just… couldn’t.

So, he just continued to watch.

“Dude you look like a stalker.. Or a crazy boyfriend. One of the two” Roy interrupted Jason’s staring. He shot the archer a glare. “I don’t look like a stalker”

“Kind of do the way you’re staring at the poor girl.” Roy whispered. Making Jason roll his eyes before they landed on the stranger again. “Just go talk to her”

“I.. I just… I don’t know” Jason crossed his arms shrugging. Looking at Roy he saw he had a shit eating smirk, “You’re scared to talk to her” he teased.

“What? No! I’m not scared to talk to her. I just… don’t want to interrupt her book” Jason glanced over looking for an excuse.

“Yeah, whatever you say Jaybird. Then I guess you won’t mind if I went over there and talked to her, maybe asked her out got her number” Roy’s smirk widened as Jason sent another glare. “Fuck you Harper”

“Ah, there it is. The truth comes out. Jason’s nervous to talk to a girl.” Roy shook him by the shoulders, leading Jason to hit his hands away. The movements catching your eye, chuckling upon seeing the exchange before looking down at the page once more.

“She just looked at us by the way” Roy commented, making Jason’s eyes widen and look at you once more. “Just go over there already, aren’t you the one who girls swoon over?”

“Shut up” Jason shook his head, running a hand through his hair. Messing up the white streak. “Well what if you got her to talk to you, pace around her, maybe drop something to catch her attention?” Roy offered up some suggestions.

“Why do I feel like I’m in middle school with a crush? I’m a grown man I should just walk over there” Jason pinched his nose as if he were getting a headache.

But he eventually did what Roy said, just trying to get your attention. Tried to drop something by you, and ‘accidentally’ bumped your seat. However, you were to entranced in your book and deafened by your music to notice.

That was until they heard your phone begin to ring, watching as you picked it up from the space at your side. Pulling out your headphones and setting your book on the open space next to you.

“Hey Mom” Jason heard you speak for the first time and was even more attracted to you. “No, I’m just sitting at my gate. There’s still some time before boarding.” you continued to talk on the phone.

“Now’s your chance, slip your number in her book. She’s facing away from it.” Roy was indeed right, you had your attention turned to a window opposite the direction of your book.

Jason nodded, scribbling down his number on a piece of paper with a small note. Carefully he strode over, staying out of your vision. Sticking the paper on the page your bookmark was and backtracked to his seat.

Leaning against the armrest, waiting for you to find it. As you continued to talk he ended up pulling out a book of his own, phone stuffed in the pocket of his leather jacket.

“Alright Mom. Yes I’ll be careful. I love you too. Bye.” Hanging up the phone with your ever worrying mother. You grew up in Gotham, of course you can handle yourself elsewhere. Chuckling you picked up your book, opening it to the marked page.

Though when opening the book a small folded sheet of paper fell into your lap. Confused, you unfolded it reading the contents.

‘Hey, so I’ve been trying to get your attention but it seems you like that book about as much as I did when I first read it. I’m across from you if you’re up for a date some time.

###-###-####’

You looked up from the note to see two men. One with red hair that was scrolling through his phone and the other with black hair and a white streak through it. Both were rather attractive but the one with the black hair was just gorgeous in your eyes.

Hoping for the best you typed in the number and sent a message.

Jason felt the phone buzz in his pocket and dug it out. Clicking the screen it lit up to reveal a message from an unknown number. Not noticing the smile grow on your face as you watched the screen.

“That’s one way to give a girl your number. But a name might be nice to know first deary.. -_^

Jason looked up at you with a dumbfounded look, you covered your mouth giggling before removing it and waving at him. He grinned before beginning to tap the screen.

“Jason Todd. Your turn doll”

Chuckling at the nickname you answered quicky.

“[F/n] [L/n]”

Looking up you saw his buddy looking over his shoulder before he smirked and stole the phone, swiftly typing on the screen.

Reading the message you let out an audible laugh, muffling it with your hand.

“About time he got to talking to you. But how about instead of this texting shit, you sit with us on the flight. Get to know Jaybird audibly.”

After you stopped laughing you responded.

“It’d be my pleasure. I’d love to talk to ‘Jaybird’”

Jason visibly blushed at the use of his nickname Roy had for him, even if it was only through text.

Though one thing he was looking forward to was hearing you talk to him with the same smile you had been talking on the phone with earlier. Little did he know about how this would be the start to something he’d forever treasure.

I’m falling apart

A/N: Reader is Jensen’s little sister who is going through a tough time with depression and Jensen is determined to help her. If this becomes a series it’s gonna be super dramatic & probably kinda twisty.

Trigger warning: Depression, suicidal thoughts.

Jensen threw his head back laughing at a joke Jared made. Looking around the table he realized how lucky he was. He was sitting at a table in Rome surrounded by his friends and fellow cast mates, enjoying the night. Tomorrow was the first day of the convention and the few days following it him and Jared would tour the city some before heading back home to his family. A gentle smile fell on Jensen’s lips when he thought about Danneel and the kids in Austin and all the plans they had for the hiatus.

Feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket, Jensen grabbed it, smiling even wider when he saw Danneel’s name pop up on the caller ID.

“Hey babe.” He answered.

“Hey Jay.” Danneel’s voice responded, only something sounded off in her tone.

“What’s up?” Jensen said, standing up from his seat and walking away from the group, “You sound worried.”

“Yeah, I mean, I’m sure it’s nothing but…” Danneel trailed on.

“You’re kinda worrying me here Dee. What’s going on?” Jensen pushed.

“It’s Y/N.” Danneel responded.

“My sister? Is she okay?” Jensen quickly pushed.

I Got You On My Mind [Part 4]

Jungkook Soulmate AU (Angst)

[Part One] | Previous Part | Part Four | Next Part

Summary: After your memory loss, adjusting back to normal life has been difficult. Luckily, Jungkook is always there for you. Still, something seems off about him, and you just can’t understand why.

Word count: 2k words

“Oh yeah, I’m being discharged tomorrow,” you told Jungkook, who was pushing your wheelchair through the hospital. He insisted that you needed a change of scenery. “My parents are going to pick me up and drive me back to my apartment.”

“I-I guess it’s too early for the ‘meet the parents’ thing, right?” Jungkook stammered, uncharacteristically nervous. “Unless you want me to. Like, I don’t mind if–”

“Chill, Jungkook,” you laughed, cutting his off his rambling. “I think they’re more worried about my brain damage than any soulmate business.”

“The doctors said you’ll recover your memories though, right?” Jungkook asked, worry lining his words. “Your memory loss won’t be permanent or recurring?”

“They said my memories will come back slowly,” you replied, shrugging your shoulders nonchalantly. “But most of the time, the memories will have to be triggered by something. They also told me I might have short-term memory issues for the next little while.”

“That seriously sucks,” Jungkook said. “If you need any help with anything, just let me know. I don’t really know how I’d be useful, but don’t hesitate.”

“We’re not in the same department,” you snorted, turning to peer up at your soulmate who was both familiar and foreign in this instant. “This is gonna make school so difficult. I’ve forgotten nearly three months worth of content!”

“Maybe take the semester off?” Jungkook suggested. “Amnesia is a pretty valid reason. Have you talked at all to the university?”

“No,” you groaned, sinking into the wheelchair. “I don’t want to think about responsibilities right now. Just marvelling in the fact I’m still alive and kicking.”

A silence fell between you and Jungkook as he pushed you through a more crowded area of the hospital. You noticed a few younger visitors visibly gape at Jungkook, then glare at you jealously as you rolled by.

You agreed with them–how was Jungkook so damn good-looking? You hit the soulmate jackpot, for sure. Still, even if he looked different, you didn’t doubt that you would like him just the same.

“You know, it’s pretty crazy,” you blurted out unthinkingly. “I’ve been talking to you my entire life, and I always thought meeting you would feel like meeting an old friend. But honestly, you’re a total mystery to me right now. Maybe it’s because of the memory loss, or maybe other people feel this way, too.”

“No, I know what you mean,” Jungkook responded quietly, trying to figure out how to express his thoughts properly. “It’s just…we have an idea of who our soulmate is in our heads. When they’re not exactly that person, it’s kind of confusing.”

“And I’m sure there’s a lot of stuff we still don’t know about each other,” you agreed. “Honestly, I tried to make myself seem a lot better than I am.”

“Yeah, me too,” Jungkook laughed, though it sounded a bit off. You brushed it off as embarrassment. “Didn’t want to disappoint you.”

You turned your head and looked up into Jungkook’s eyes. “You couldn’t have disappointed me Jungkook, really. I’m just happy to finally meet you,” you replied, giving him a small smile. “And it’s kinda paradoxical, isn’t it? Disliking your own soulmate. Weren’t we, like, made to like each other?”

“I guess,” Jungkook said, staring ahead unwaveringly. He pushed you down another hallway, which led to the cafeteria. You only knew because of the wafting smell of hearty food was growing stronger by the second. “But nothing’s ever that simple.”

“Don’t I know it,” you sighed, laughing a little in spite of yourself. You turned the corner into the bustling cafeteria, the noise of the crowds deafening compared to the near-silent, depressing halls of the hospital.

“Want to grab something to eat?” Jungkook asked, the heaviness of your conversation vanishing before you could even blink. “I was going to grab something for myself, too.”

“Sure, I’ll have whatever you’re having,” you agreed. Out of habit, you reached down to pat your pockets for your wallet. “Oh shit, I don’t have any money on me. Don’t worry about it, then.”

“It’s cool, it’ll be my treat,” Jungkook said. When you turned to look at him, he was giving you a lopsided smile.

“Then, is this our first date?” you asked cheekily, delighting in the way Jungkook’s cheek burned. You never expected that a guy like Jungkook, with this terrible fuckboy persona, would be so easily flustered.

“If you want it to be, sure,” Jungkook answered, coughing into his hand awkwardly. You just laughed, and Jungkook pushed you forward wordlessly.

Life at home after getting discharged made staying in the hospital seem like an amusement park. After being sentenced to bedrest by your parents–and having Jieun enforce it with an iron fist–you spent your days bored out of your mind.

In only one week, you had binge-watched three shows, reread all of your course notes (and they didn’t help you remember anything), and read more manga that you had ever read before in your entire life.

You were positively itching to get outside and do something, but what bothered you the most was that you hadn’t talked to Jungkook since your “first date.” When you had gotten home, you jumped to charge your dead phone, which miraculously hadn’t been destroyed in the accident. But when the device finally charged, you soon realized that you had no way of contacting Jungkook.

For some reason, his phone number wasn’t saved in your contacts. Even though Jungkook had said you had met before, apparently you hadn’t exchanged numbers. That seemed very strange to you.

When you asked Jieun about it, she just shrugged the question off. She said your situation was a bit complicated, but that she’d have to leave it up to you and Jungkook. But Jieun did say that she would mention it to him when she saw him at school next.

Sighing, you reached for your phone beside you. It was still early in the morning. Time had lost all meaning to you, since you spent every moment of the day trapped in your apartment. A bit bitterly, you watched your friends’ Snapchat stories and longed to return to normal daily life.

Suddenly, your phone began buzzing. You dropped it in surprise, and it landed on your nose. The impact stung, and you cursed, reaching clumsily for the phone. You saw an unflattering picture of Jieun illuminate the screen. Eventually, you were able to answer.

“Hey, what’s up?” you asked, rubbing your hand against your sore nose.

“Y/N, I’m so fucking stupid!” Jieun practically screamed. Wincing, you held your phone away from your ear. “I know you shouldn’t be moving around, but I need you to come to the university right now. I’m working on a group project that’s due in two hours and a bunch of our files got corrupted. I have some stuff backed up on my laptop, which I left at home like an idiot!”

“Don’t worry, I can bring it to you,” you reassured quickly. “I won’t fall into traffic on the way there. It’s like a ten minute walk, so don’t worry.”

“Just don’t strain yourself, okay?” Jieun ordered, the panic still evident in her voice. “Don’t go to quickly and look both ways!”

“Hey, only I can make fun of myself,” you quipped, pulling yourself out from underneath the covers. “I’ll be over soon, I just need to get dressed.”

“Okay, see you soon. Thank you so much, Y/N,” Jieun said, and the both of you said your goodbyes before you disconnected the call.

You glanced down at your pyjama bottoms and at the thick cast over your right leg. Changing pants would be a battle for another day. Unsteadily, you stood up and balanced your weight on your unbroken leg. You reached for the crutches leaning against the wall beside you and tucked them underneath your arms.

As quickly as you could (which was not very quick), you had thrown on a clean shirt and a jacket. Your hair was a mess, so you shoved on a beanie to disguise the tangled frizz. With Jieun’s securely laptop in your backpack, you began the trek to school. Suddenly, the journey seemed incredibly long.

When you finally arrived on campus, you were panting lightly and sweating. You made your way into the music building, relatively unfamiliar with its layout. You detached yourself from one of your crutches and reached into your pocket for your phone. Quickly you sent Jieun a text letting you know you were here.

There were a few benches in the foyer, so once you hobbled over to them, you set your bag down lightly and placed your crutches against the benches. Flopping down, you discreetly tried to massage your sore armpits.

But you were glad to finally be out of the apartment. The fresh air made you feel infinitely better.

“Y/N?” a familiar voice called. Your head whipped around in the direction of the voice. Jungkook a few meters away from you, looking as dark and intimidating as ever. His wide-eyed expression kind of ruined the image though. “What are you doing here?”

“Jieun forgot her laptop at home,” you replied, pointing to the backpack at your feet, as Jungkook made his way toward you.

“Shouldn’t you be at home?” he questioned, stopping when he was standing in front of you. You craned your neck to at him properly. “Is it okay for you to be walking around so soon?”

“Please, don’t get started on that,” you groaned, squeezing your eyes shut. “My parents and Jieun are unbearable. I’ve been lying in bed doing nothing all week.”

“You know, that honestly sounds like heaven,” Jungkook joked. “I’m so swamped right now. I haven’t slept in days.”

You inspected Jungkook more closely. His eyes were ringed by purplish dark circles, but they were hardly noticeable. How unfair–he always looked good.

“Hey, why haven’t you talked to me all week?” you asked suddenly, narrowing your eyes at Jungkook suspiciously.

“I was meaning to call or text or something, but I don’t have your number,” Jungkook answered sheepishly, scratching the nape of his neck awkwardly. “Didn’t know how to ask for it, since you haven’t been around campus lately.”

“Why’s that, though?” you continued, glancing down at your feet. “I mean–you said we met before. Why didn’t we keep in contact?”

“W-well, we did meet, but it wasn’t a proper conversation,” Jungkook explained stutteringly. “It wasn’t under the most normal circumstances, but–”

“Y/N!” Jieun’s loud voice suddenly interrupted. She burst into the foyer, looking absolutely frazzled. Her hair was a mess, her eyes were bloodshot, and you were pretty sure there were coffee stains on her shirt. “Thank god!”

Your friend ran over to you and practically dove for your backpack. She grabbed her laptop and hugged it tightly against her chest.

“Thank you so much. I’m so sorry I made you come all the way here,” Jieun cried, sounding frantic still. “Are you okay? Sore anywhere? Go home right away, okay? You need to rest. And please don’t tell your parents!”

“Oh my god, I’m fine Jieun,” you whined. “I think I can handle walking for, like, two minutes.”

“I just don’t want anything to happen!” Jieun insisted, stomping her foot childishly. “We’re speeding up the recovery process by being extra careful!”

You rolled your eyes. “Whatever. Go work on your project and try not to fail.”

“I will,” Jieun replied. “I’ll bring dinner on my way home.” She turned, only spotting Jungkook for the first time. Her eyes narrowed and she frowned slightly. “Jungkook.”

“Jieun,” he replied, just as shortly.

You looked between the two of them, wondering why there was so much tension. It looked like they were having a silent conversation, and you hated not knowing what was going on. You had the suspicion they were hiding something from you–but for the life of you, you couldn’t figure out what, exactly.

Eventually, Jieun just nodded and strode away, leaving Jungkook with a tight expression. Visibly, you could see Jungkook try to shake away the tension, his jaw unclenching. When he turned back to you, his features were schooled.

“Give me your phone,” Jungkook said, reaching out his hand and smiling softly. “I’ll add my number.”

- Girl in Luv

Okay, so this one was a bit filler-y. Originally I had planned to make this one angsty too, but I figured you guys could use the respite. Also, it would have been like 4k words and it’s like 2:30AM and this girl needs to sleep. Anyway, stay tuned!! Thanks as always for reading, and I hope you all enjoyed. Your replies and reblogs/tags are so cute I read them all 💛💛💛💛

Wanna One Kang Daniel Prince! AU (Part 3)

Sorry for the delay, y’all! You can find the first part here and the second part here. Enjoy! (You + Kang Daniel)

  • After that day, you had been even more shy than usual around Daniel, now aware of your deeper feelings
  • You were falling harder and harder for Daniel, but it seemed completely one sided to you; to him it was probably mainly a business deal
  • But regardless, it was still easy to hang out as friends
  • Anyway the two of you didn’t exactly know how to try “dating” other than hanging out as usual with Ong and Jaehwan
  • The four of you frequented a cafe after school, only ordering pastries instead of actual drinks, and played board games or cards together for a couple hours
  • Afterwards, all of you would head back to your homes, Ong always walking you to your bus stop because Daniel had his drivers and Jaehwan lived in an opposite direction
  • You and Ong weren’t friends at first, but he was really funny with an open personality, and got closer to you
  • He’d always joke around about how Daniel hadn’t been friends with a girl since forever, and it was incredible how you randomly popped up
  • Openly told you that he wanted the two of you to get together because it’d be “satisfying”, which was weird he already thought this considering the situation you and Daniel were in lol
  • You and Daniel decided not to tell Ong and Jaehwan for the time being about the “arrangement” because you knew they would immediately start teasing the both of you about it (even more than they already did)
  • Anyway your day was pretty much like this for a couple weeks: going to school, hanging out with friends after school, and then heading back home
  • You didn’t think it’d be this simple, but when you asked Daniel about it, he just flashed that smile and replied that he’d been telling his parents that “you two were going on dates every day after school”
  • This is pretty easy if it counts as dating.
  • But no, of course it couldn’t be that easy: the Queen had asked her servants to check up on how you and Daniel were doing on the dates, and when she found out you two were just hanging out with friends, she was unhappy, to say the least
  • It all went down one day after school… you, Daniel, Ong and Jaehwan were all getting ready to walk to the cafe, but as soon as you exited the school front doors, there they were: the Queen’s loyal servants YAY
  • “Miss (Y/L/N), Prince, please come with us, the Queen requests your presence at the palace,” one of the men said, leading you to the car, leaving Ong and Jaehwan protesting “what about me, oppaaa” to the servants, earning some sour looks (wtf)
  • You and Daniel sat down in the car, and immediately you theorized what the problem was
  • “Oh my god Daniel they know, they know that we haven’t been actually dating this entire time, they’re going to be so pissed at us, what are we gonna do oh my god omghfj sod-”
  • Daniel just laughed because that’s what he does and squeezed your cheeks with one hand
  • “(Y/N), they’re just my parents, what are they gonna do, it’s probably just so we can eat dinner with them today, chill”
  • You glared at Daniel, and silently freaked out for the rest of the car ride; you just had this feeling that something was up
  • The both of you arrived at the palace and were immediately sat down at another large dinner table; different from the previous times
  • You kicked Daniel under the table; something was definitely up, you just knew it
  • A couple minutes later, the King and Queen showed up, and quietly sat across from you, softly smiling
  • “What’s up guys,” Daniel casually asked, you side-eyeing him
  • “Oh, we just wanted to have dinner together!” the Queen chirped, the King nodding along
  • “I told you, (Y/N),” Daniel said, nudging you, “dumbass”
  • You let your guard down, but kept getting the vibe that something was wrong
  • You decided to go ahead and enjoy the food, Daniel also did so, stuffing his face like he hadn’t eaten in… ever
  • After you all finished dessert, you and Daniel collapsed back in your chairs, groaning at how full you two were
  • And finally, the Queen let you know why you two were actually here, the both of you completely dead from all the food
  • “So we’ve heard that you two have been going on some fun dates together, looks like you two are really getting a great taste of what a relationship is like, that’s great for you!”
  • The two of you just stared at her: where was this going…
  • “We don’t think this is enough though, we’d like you two to get even closer. Part of this deal is that (Y/N) learns how to get used to life in the palace, and how to act as the Princess!” the Queen exclaimed, pausing for a second before nudging the King
  • “Oh, yes, so (Y/N), from now on you should eat dinner here, and feel free to sleep here during the night time,”
  • “Oh, that’s completely fine, I’ll be going now, thank you for the meal,” you said, standing up from your chair, before the Queen interrupted
  • “Ah, no, (Y/N), what we mean is that you must eat and sleep here, in order for you to more properly adjust and expose yourself to what life as the Princess will be like,”
  • “But what about my pare-”
  • “We have already notified your parents of this arrangement, and they have more than accommodating of the plans, please be comfortable,”
  • You shot a look at Daniel: I told you so…
  • He shrugged in response: Oh welp lol
  • When suddenly, the Queen made things even mORE weird
  • “(Y/N), it would be ideal if you stayed in Daniel’s room, but for now you can sleep in one of the guest spaces near his room.”
  • Were you freaking out? uHHH yes you were, now you were living at Daniel’s house, at the palace… at the home of the guY YOU LIKED… could this get any more weird for you??
  • And finally, Daniel started showing reactions to this whole scenario, as he started blushing and scratching his face in embarrassment, making you feel even moRe awkward
  • The King cut into your running thoughts, as he happily proposed that you “could tutor Daniel” in the classes you share, earning a “HEY i’M SMART” protest from Daniel
  • The Queen and King promptly ended the dinner, leaving you and Daniel to trudge up to his room in awkward silence
  • The both of you tiredly looked at one another, silently agreeing to just head to your own rooms for the night
  • “Night, (Y/N)”
  • “Good night”
  • And that was that.
  • You lived at the palace now.
  • You could barely get to sleep that night, wondering if now the relationship between you two would get awkward; how much this would change things because obviously Daniel had gotten somewhat shy that night
  • The next day, you were woken up by a maid, as you forgot to set your alarm the previous night
  • “Miss (Y/L/N), please follow us to the washing room, we have prepared your bath,” one of the servants said, guiding you to a washroom
  • You walked over to the washroom, the maid stopping by the door and telling you to enter, slightly smiling
  • Was that a giggle in her voice? What the hell…
  • You walked into the humongous room, with a sitting area and multiple closets before getting to the actual shower area
  • WeLP the reason for the giggling maid became clear, when you entered the washroom to see shirtless Daniel splashing water over his face, a towel covering his neck and some of his wet hair
  • (NO MORE BIH WE KEEPIN THIS PG)
  • “Oh… oh my god… Daniel COVER YOURSELF” you mustered out, before dropping to squat on the floor, covering your eyes (oh you)
  • “OH MY GOD (Y/N) WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO ME… HOW COULD YOU LET YOUR LUSTFUL EYES TAINT MY BODY…” Daniel screamed at you, covering himself up with his hands
  • “Daniel, that’s not how this works. My innocent eyes are the ones that are tainted, turd”, you breathed, still covering your face, turning around
  • “nO YOU SICK PERVERT WOMAN! CAN’T A MAN CLEANSE IN PEACE??!?”
  • “what the hell man I’m not even going to shower today fuck this”
  • “GO!! YOU CAN’T WASH AWAY YOUR SOILED INTENTIONS AND DIRTY MIND ANYWAY!!”
  • You couldn’t help but giggle as you ran out of the bathroom, collapsing onto one of the couches in the washroom’s sitting areas
  • He manages to be this charming and strange even when he’s half naked… someone give this man an award, you thought as you closed your eyes, relaxing on the seat
  • You had been prepared for your relationship to be awkward, just like how it kind of was last night, but everything was… completely back to “normal”, even if that was completely abnormal for most people
  • The craziness… it was comfortable, for the both of you.
  • A couple minutes later, a dressed Daniel walked out of the bathroom into the sitting area, smiling as he saw you curled up on the couch, your phone right next to your face
  • He was about to tap you awake like a noRMAL person would, but then couldn’t let this opportunity to go to waste
  • Daniel barely held in his laughter while taking your phone from right in front of your sleeping face, making sure the phone was not on mute and on the highest ring volume
  • He let a giggle escape him as he hid in the corner of you, calling your number
  • Your phone rang right in your face, extremely loud, causing you to spaz awake, jumping like a monkey to attack Daniel who was literally on the floor laughing, clutching his stomach
  • “ASSHOLE YOU ARE GOING TO REGRET THIS SO BADLY,” you screamed, kicking him before running into the shower room and slamming the door shut
  • I won’t be having a single normal morning from now on, will I…
  • YEP (Y/N) that’s exactly what’s going to happen from now on
  • If your alarm didn’t wake you up, every morning either you pranking Daniel or him pranking you would be sure to do the job
  • From him pouring his cologne-y smelling shampoo into your bottle to you stealing the toilet paper, your mornings were sure to be hectic (if not violent)
  • But you found yourself incredibly enjoying it
  • (and Daniel was too)
  • Both of you loved how the other didn’t take themselves so seriously, despite acting completely normal when it was necessary for public affairs
  • The both of you got closer than even before, if that was possible
  • You, Daniel, Ong and Jaehwan continued hanging out, but there was no way to continue hiding the fact that you and Daniel had this weird arrangement going on, since you went home with him every day
  • On the first day after that dinner, on the walk to the cafe after school, you and Daniel walked in front of Ong and Jaehwan, bickering about who would be the one to break the news to the guys
  • “YoU TELL THEM”
  • “NO YOU DO IT, THIS IS ALL THANKS TO YOUR PARENTS…”
  • “yeAh but I’m NOT MY PARENTS (Y/N)…”
  • “Tell us what, that you guys are having an arranged marriage?” Jaehwan asked, behind the both of you
  • “WHAT?? HOW DID YOU KNOW WHAT THE F-”
  • “HOLY SHIT I WAS RIGHT??? I WAS JOKING WHY DIDN’T YOU GUYS TELL US WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO”
  • “heYyyy I thought we were getting married Daniel, you unloyal hoe” Ong joking pouted, cutely punching Daniel
  • The teasing has already started. Great.
  • From then on, you two couldn’t catch a break with them, Onghwan always “ooooh”ing and snickering whenever you even taLKEd to each other
  • “Daniel watch out, (Y/N) is a total gold digger, watch out for yourself bro”
  • “I will hurt you, Ong Seongwoo”
  • But the time you three spent together was just as fun as before, except now you went home with Daniel instead of walking to your bus stop with Ong (which he alSO teased you about)
  • Anyway you and Daniel would do homework together every night, Daniel putting in effort to actually learn from you when you tutored him in math
  • His grades actually increased, to the delight of his parents
  • They were also very happy that even that you two basically ruined the washroom every day, you two were getting closer (which was their goal)
  • Anyway one night while tutoring Daniel, he fell asleep while you were explaining a concept, his head lolling around in the high chair he was sitting in next to his desk
  • You couldn’t bring yourself to wake him up, bringing a light blanket to cover him up, and began to stare at his adorable yet attractive face
  • “I didn’t know what I was getting into for the past few months… but it’s really been a lot of fun,” you whispered, softly poking Daniel’s cheek
  • “I don’t think I would mind marrying you at all, Daniel,” you breathed out, your fingers dropping to his lips as you blushed at the touch
  • But you didn’t have much time to appreciate the quiet stillness when Daniel’s mouth opened, biting the tips of your fingers
  • WhAT THE FUCK IS HE AWAKE OH MY GOD HOW LONG HAS HE BEEN LISTENING OSH FMDKLMY GOD
  • You yanked your fingers out of his mouth, standing up in shock, knocking over the stool you were sitting on
  • You stared in horror as one side of Daniel’s mouth curled upwards, eyes still closed
  • Your own mouth dropped open when he asked the dreaded question with the completely obvious answer, his eyes mischievously opening, giving you a look that made your heart beat even faster than it had been already
  • ”(Y/N), do you like me?”

You looked down at the small tattoo of a lightning bolt on your ring finger for comfort as you threw up in the S.T.A.R. Labs restroom. It was Barry’s idea, seeing as a wedding band would’ve raised suspicions. It’s been nearly two years since you and Barry started dating. And it’s been about six months since you two were secretly got married. Your relationship was something unplanned, but neither of you had any doubts.

The only problem with the marriage and relationship was that your father, the great Harrison Wells, has yet to be informed about it. Every chance you got to tell him, there was always something that ruined the moment. You knew the more you kept it a secret, the more strained your relationship with your father would be. The mere thought of losing your father made you want to hurl, but that wasn’t the reason as to why you were having morning sickness.

After a few minutes, you got up and composed yourself, fixing your hair in a bun and wiping away your smudged makeup. You quickly left the restroom and went back to your desk, pretending as if nothing happened.

“Caitlin, please check on (Y/N).” Your father said as he monitored the computers, watching Barry’s every movement.

“But Barry’s on a mission-” Caitlin began, but your father shook his head.

“Armed robbery… Barry’s got this.” Caitlin gave you a soft smile before helping you up.

Caitlin knew exactly was wrong with you, but she didn’t want to pry. You wish you invited her to be a witness to your wedding, but since the decision was so spontaneous, Joe and Iris took on the roles.

“Every thing seems to be in order. You don’t have a fever…” Caitlin trailed off as she cleaned off her thermometer. “Did you have anything bad last night?” She asked.

You shook your head as you thought about last night. Barry spent the night trying to make you comfortable and catered to your every need. He even raced to Star City to get Big Belly Burger, the one that always put in extra fries. But you definitely didn’t eat anything that didn’t sit well with you. If anything, it sat quite nicely.

“She seems fine.” Caitlin called out to your father as Barry sped right in. His eyes widened as he took note of you sitting on the hospital bed.

“You okay?” He asked, worry in his eyes. What he really wanted to ask was: is the baby okay?

You nodded. “Just threw up because of something. No biggie.”

“Yes biggie. You could have an ulcer, or some gallbladder diseases, or a brain tumor, (Y/N)!” Cisco yelled out. You raised your eyebrows at him.

And Caitlin gave him a strange look. “Did you look up vomiting causes on WebMD?” She asked. Cisco gave her a sneaky grin and she rolled her eyes. “I promise, you have none of that. Don’t worry… I’m talking to you, Dr. Wells.” You all chuckled as your father’s panic was easily seen on his face.

“I mean she could be pregnant.” Your father stated. Everyone just froze on the spot. You and Barry both looked at him quizzically. None of you were sure if he was joking or not, but the thought of your father finding out this way shook you to your core. “What?”

“W-why do you say that?” You asked, your voice shaking but you attempted to keep it straight.

“People take pictures, (Y/N). Videos, even.” Your father began. “And the funniest thing occurred to me when I saw these videos and photos on the internet… I thought hmm.. why is Barry always running around near (Y/N)’s apartment? You can put together a puzzle like that as quickly as a speedster, can’t you? You randomly getting a lightning tattooed on your ring finger. Barry always worrying about you. You always worrying about Barry. Not to mention we have cameras.”

You and Barry knew the cat was out the bag, but neither of you dared to glance at each other. You both kept your eyes trained on your father. “So how long have you two been together?” Your dad asked.

“Two and a half years.” Barry asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Anything else I might want to know?”

You slowly tip toed over to your husband as you interlaced your fingers. “Um… Six months ago we eloped.” You saw your father’s jaw clench but it slowly released. “And I’m three and a half weeks pregnant.” You and Barry flinched awaiting your father’s wrath, but none came.

“That part I put together on my own seeing as you’re almost always tired, hungry, and if you aren’t at a calmed state, your enraged. Much like your mother.” You smiled, remembering the memories you had of her, a few tears escaped your eyes and Barry rubbing your back soothingly. “I’m mad that I didn’t get to walk my baby girl down the aisle, but we can always redo that part. Barry take care of my girl. And… for the love of God, Try Harder To Be Discreet.

You walked over to hug your father, crying quietly into his arms. But then Cisco cleared his throat. “We’re definitely redoing that wedding. Barry, what were you thinking? I wasn’t your best man, dude!”

Truth: Arrow 5x20 Review (Underneath)

Arrow isn’t a perfect television show. To be fair, I don’t know one that is, but I never needed Arrow to be perfect.  All I need from Arrow is a good story.  My frustrations with Oliver and Felicity’s break up, and the Baby Mama storyline, aren’t a secret. I found their break up to be wildly problematic on multiple levels. However, the one caveat I always held to was if Arrow can piece together some interesting character growth for Oliver and Felicity it would go a long way of easing my ruffled feathers. We’ve been dealing with the ramifications of Oliver’s lie about William since 4x08. That’s 35 episodes. We’ve waited a long time for Oliver and Felicity’s individual arcs to come to fruition.

The wait was worth it. At least for me.

Our perceptions of “good story” vary as widely as our perceptions of “perfect” but “Underneath” is a good story for me.  It’s almost perfect. 35 episodes. This road was long. It was hard but, in the end, I feel like I understand. It connects all the dots that need to be connected (and some I didn’t expect) while delivering some real character development that feels earned.

In the midst of the crazy world of arrows, masks, Mirakuru soldiers, 15 different canaries and Barry Allen resides the relationships between Oliver and Felicity

and Original Team Arrow.

These characters, and the love they have for one another, is the sanity in all the madness. It’s the real in the fiction. Oliver, Felicity and Diggle are the beating heart of Arrow for a reason. The love we have for these characters is the reason we watch and “Underneath” returns Arrow to center. It focuses on the love stories that made us fall in love with the show. In particularly, it brings Oliver and Felicity’s individual arcs to fruition and FINALLY merges their roads into one again.

Trust. Honesty. Forgiveness. Compassion. Humility. These aren’t always popular concepts in our society, but they are the building blocks to any relationship. You lose one, the whole house can come down on you. Love feels like it has its own inertia, like it chooses you and not the other way around. And maybe that’s true. Maybe we can’t choose who we love.  However, we can choose how we love.

If you are either Team Felicity or Team Oliver in the break-up- Baby-Mama-drama then there’s probably things about “Underneath” you didn’t like. As for me, I believe there are things both Oliver and Felicity need to learn from the breakup and “Underneath” addresses those things. But more than anything, I am ready for Arrow to rebuild what they broke. I am ready for Arrow to fix it. Are you?

Buckle up. This is, by far, my longest review. We’re going all the way back to the pilot and discuss about five different episodes. This took me about 22 hours to write. No need to comment on how long it is. I am well are.

Let’s dig in…

What If I Kissed You

Characters: Jensen Ackles, Y/N Y/L/N, Misha Collins, Jared Padalecki, Brianna Buckmaster

Pairing: Jensen x Reader

Warnings: A few adultish thoughts, Drunkish!Jensen, tipsy!reader, not much. Mostly fluff.

Word Count: 1700ish

A/N: So I have been writing a lot of angst lately for my series and for and for angst day (yep I am gonna make y’all cry that day). So I kinda needed a change of pace. When I heard Temecula Road’s What if I Kissed You this one shot popped into my mind.

Thanks a billion to the bestest little sister in the world @mysupernaturalfics for betaing this one for me

Note hate against Danneel - I love her. For the purpose of this fic Jensen is single.

***My fics are not to be saved nor posted on any other sites without my express written permission.***

Being around Y/N on set was bad enough, but tonight it was down right impossible for Jensen to focus on anything else but her. It was a beautiful night in Rome. All his friends, well work friends, were there. Misha and Jared were laughing and talking about something right next to him, but Jensen didn’t pay attention to them at all.

His eyes were solely fixated on Y/N and the way she was laughing and dancing with Brianna. Hell, he couldn’t even hear the music over the sound of her bell like laughter ringing in his ears. He was drunk and not only on the “apple juice”  he had been drinking all day, but on her. She filled his senses and Jensen allowed his mind to wander as he watched how the short summer dress she was wearing clung to her curves in all the right places. Her tanned skin was almost shining in the lights of the club and her hair was swaying with her every movement. She looked happy and free.

"I'm gonna kill him" -- Pt 1

Imagine – You are forced into an arranged marriage

“We need this Y/N. Our family needs it”. My mother spoke, standing in front of me at her desk with my father. They wanted me to marry this wealthy Shadowhunter that came from a well known family tree.
“And what happens to what I want?”. I said, not lifting my head to look at them.
“Oh don’t be so selfish! We have given you wonderful opportunities and have gotten you so far in this institute, you owe this to us”. My mother snapped. My father blinked nervously until he spoke, “Anyway it’s done. He’s coming to the institute tomorrow where you will be married immediately. Everything will be set up, you just have to show up, do you think you could do that?”, he was so patronising.
I glared at them but there was nothing I could do. I had to do this for my family, “Just tell me the time and I’ll be there”.

I walked out of their office to be greeted by Izzy and Clary walking down the corridor, “Hey, what was that emergency meeting all about?”, Izzy asked whilst both of them linked each of my arms. I was training with her when I got ushered to my parents.
“Oh just stupid family drama, wanna go into town for drinks?”, I asked the both of them needing one last night out with my girls before my freedom would be taken away.
“Of course, give us half an hour and we’ll be ready!”. They both ran off to get all dolled up whilst I just went back to my room.

I sat on my bed and just went over what my parents had said to me, ‘Don’t be so selfish’. I’ve been everything but selfish. I have always put everyone before myself. A knock snapped me out of my thoughts. I got up to answer it, “Izzy I thought you said half an-”. I opened the door to Alec. “Sorry I thought you might have been Izzy and Clary”. I held the door open and motioned for him to come in.
“So what can I help you with?”. Me and Alec had been close for a while, we had a flirty relationship, it was playful, we knew we both liked each other.
“Erm…this sounds stupid but I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight…for dinner…just me and you?”. I was so happy, the big grin on my face supported this.
“Alec I would-“, then I remembered. “but I can’t”, I didn’t want to tell anyone of the marriage yet. “I’m going out with Clary and Izzy tonight around town”. I saw the disappointment on his face which broke me.
“But you can come too, you can bring Jace and Simon as well if you want”. His famous smirk was now visible, obviously pleased with the invitation.
“Sounds great, I’ll go get the others”. He left, grazing my arm with his hand as he walked past. I walked over to my wardrobe looking at the options for me to wear. I wasn’t in a mood to make an effort so black jeans and a T it was.

I lay down and waited for someone to come and get me. The next thing I knew I opened my eyes to Jace leaning over me at my bedside.
“Finally! I’ve been shouting you for like 10 minutes!”. I sat up and let my eyes adjust.
“I’m sorry I must have dozed off”.
Jace looked at me worriedly, “What is wrong with you lately?”.
“I’m just exhausted, and stressed with all the mission reports I’m so behind on. The clave is on my back a lot these past few weeks”.
“Well we don’t have to go out tonight we can always-“.
I cut him off, “NO no….I need this”. He nodded with a look of concern and put an arm around me as we walked to go and meet the others.

We arrived at the club. I walked in with Clary and Izzy by my side whilst the other guys followed us in as we had more experience with mundane clubs.

Three hours, 7 shots, 4 vodka & cokes and a bottle of Malibu later….lets just say I was a little more than tipsy. We were all sat in a booth on the far side of the club right next to the dance floor. Jace and Clary were in the middle of a make out session whilst Simon was watching star wars on his phone as Izzy had passed out with her legs across Simon and her head on my lap. Me and Alec were talking…well, he was talking, I was slurring, although I could feel the room gradually starting to spin slower. Then all of a sudden Alec kissed me. It was long, passionate and so overdue. The second we pulled apart my lips did something before my brain could think about it.
“I’m getting married tomorrow”. My eyes were still closed from the kiss and they stayed closed for a few more seconds as I was scared to see what his reaction would be. All of a sudden I felt completely sober. I opened my eyes and regretted it immediately. He looked heartbroken, confused, vulnerable and angry. All those emotions were showing on one face and I was the reason why. Before I could say anything else he was gone, running out of the club faster than I’ve ever seen someone move.
“ALEC-“, I called out but the music was too loud and he was too far away, he wouldn’t have even come back even if he did hear me. Jace must have heard me though as he broke apart from Clary and chased after Alec. I looked down at my lap, tears fell from my face and onto Izzy but she was dead to the world to notice. When I looked up I saw Clary and Simon look at me with an expression that said ‘you have some explaining to do’.

I woke up in Clary’s room. She didn’t want to be on my own because of the state I was in last night, drunk and hysterical. After Simon took Izzy back to his I cried to Clary trying to get everything out whilst I still could. She was so supportive and was furious with what I was forced into but she understood that I felt like I had to do it, not for me but for my family. Jace had text Clary late last night to tell her he was back at the institute with Alec. They had just walked around the streets he said in the text and just talked. Alec had told Jace about the marriage, Clary explained it to Jace over the phone in which he told Alec but Jace was still pissed with me and Alec was still harbouring the same feelings from last night.
“They’ll both understand soon enough”. Clary must have noticed me staring into space and she must have knew that I was worrying about it all. I nodded.
“What time is it?”.
She checked her phone, “9:30 AM”.
I jumped up out of the bed and raced to the door, “I was meant to be in the chapel half an hour ago!”.

I ran into the chapel to find my mother pacing and my father talking to the silent brother who would be initiating the wedding.
“I’m sorry, I was out late and I lost track of time this morning”.
My mother walked towards me, “Enough with your excuses!”. I felt the tears build up behind my eyes threatening to run down my cheeks but I fought them back. She dragged me to the front of the room where I was met by my father and the silent brother. As I stood not listening to a word they were saying the door swung open. I clenched my jaw in anticipation for my future partner to walk in but to my relief it was Clary, Simon and Izzy. I hadn’t asked them to come and I didn’t want them to but right now I knew I really needed them. A tear escaped as I smiled at them. They sat at the very back not wanting to disturb any family business. Since what felt like forever I finally felt relaxed knowing that whatever happened today I had people who truly loved me just a couple of footsteps away. Then the door opened again and suddenly my anxiety went from 0 to 100 real fast. In he walked, the person I presumed I was getting married off to. The closer he came the more I realised he wasn’t the worst looking, I mean he was kinda cute; dark hair, tall, skinny yet muscle-y…I was literally describing Alec. Did this mean I had a type? No one could compare to how I felt about Alec. He was the one I truly wanted to be with, but my feelings didn’t matter.

The vows had been said, the runes had been drawn and the rings had been given. The wedding was over. Everyone dispersed until there was just me at the front of the room. Still stood in the place I had been stood throughout. My freedom had been taken…my future had been written. As I watched my family leave I let my guard down and all tears rushed out. Clary, Simon and Izzy raced to me. I didn’t know what to do anymore or what would happen to me now. For the first time in my life I felt lost and had no idea what I was going to do.

After the wedding I had gone straight to my room. The others wanted me to hang out with them so I could take my mind off of things for a few hours but I just wanted to be alone. I jumped straight in the shower and just stood there for what felt like hours under the hot water. I eventually got out and started to get changed when I heard noises coming from outside the bathroom door. I walked out, expecting to see Izzy gathering clothes so I could come and escape to Simon’s place with them but it wasn’t. It was my hubby…William I think his name was. I payed no attention throughout the ceremony so I avoided saying his name during the vows.
“What are you doing?”. I asked as he was putting everything from my room into boxes.
He looked back at me with what I can only describe as disgust on his face. “You are to be moved into my room on the East wing, if we want to make this believable”. The minute he turned back around anger rushed through me. How dare he come in here. How dare he take my things and look at me like that. I walked over to him and started unpacking all of my stuff.
“I’m not moving anywhere, my things are staying in this room and so am I”. I didn’t look at him. It felt good, it felt like I was getting control back over my life. This feeling stopped when he spun me around and slapped me across the face. His force was so strong that it knocked me to the ground. He grabbed the remaining boxes and left the room. I just lay there. Shocked at what had just happened.

I eventually composed myself and headed towards William’s wing, as I didn’t want to find out what would happen if I stayed in my room, when I bumped into Clary. She gasped and touched the side of my face, “Oh my god what did you do?”. I know she didn’t mean to say it the way I took it and she had no idea what had happened but all I heard coming from her voice was her saying it was my fault. Maybe it was my fault.
“Oh I was just stupid and hit my head on my bedside table from my nap before”. I didn’t want people to know and start gossiping. The wedding had already made me the topic of conversation on every mission so this would just make things worse. She just laughed, “What are you like!”. Then she left. I was just stood in an empty corridor.

•5 DAYS PASSED•

I gently pulled on an oversized jumper, for the purpose of no one seeing my bruises, and my sweatpants. I hadn’t spoken to anyone for days. I hadn’t even left the room in days because I couldn’t bare to see people so they could congratulate me on my wonderful new marriage, but I knew I had to train.
As I got to the training room I saw that half of the room was already occupied by Jace. Just him and a punch bag. I hadn’t spoken to him since the night at the bar, as well as Alec.
He saw me walk in, rolled his eyes and carried on punching. I grabbed my throwing knives and my seraph blade and went over to the dummies to practise my fighting skills.
After an hour Jace came over and threw a duel stick towards my feet, “Lets go”. The way he said it was so cold. I picked up the stick and walked to the centre of the room where he was stood and without being ready he struck the back of my legs and I fell to the ground. I gasped loudly and Jace looked at me like I was being dramatic but the pain was more than it usually was.
“How could you do it? How could you hurt him like that?”.
I slowly got back to my feet and steadied myself, “I didn’t want any of this to happen! I had to do this, my parents-“. He cut me off.
“NO”, he yelled. “There was no excuse, everyone has a choice and you chose to break my brothers heart. That night you told him at the club I could feel his heartbreak, there’s just no excuse for that”.
“HEY”, this time I yelled which threw him off guard. “I love Alec…so much”, tears started to build up and a lump was lodged in my throat. “I wanted to be with him and the night he asked me out was one of the happiest moments of my life. But no one understands. No one understands the pressure I was under”. I couldn’t hold back anymore and the tears fell. Jace was stood looking down at the floor, silent. I began to walk away when he gabbed my wrist. I screamed and fell down because of the pain. Jace stood back in shock not knowing what he had done.
He knelt down beside me, “What is with you today? And why are you dressed like winter for training”. I caressed my wrist, he pulled my sleeve up and saw all the bruises. He pulled up my other sleeve where more were hidden.
“Where the hell did you get these from?!”. I quickly got out of his grip and pulled down my sleeves and stood up.
I turned my back to him, “T-they’re from m-my missions”. I stuttered, not knowing what excuse seemed best.
“No they’re not because I’m always on your missions and we haven’t had one since last week, these are new bruises”.
A new set of tears came to the surface and when I turned to face him and he noticed.
“Is he hurting you?”.
At first I didn’t say anything, I just looked at the floor refusing to make eye contact with him. But the second I looked into his eyes I started hysterically crying and that’s when he knew.
He immediately came to my side and gently pulled my into a hug. It felt good to get it off my chest. After what felt like an hour he loosened he grip. “I’m gonna kill him”. He was began to walk off but I ran in front of him pleading not to.
“Please don’t! Please Jace”.
“Give me one good reason not to”.
“Because if he knows I’ve told people then I’m dead Jace. He lashes out when the tiniest things happen, so god only knows what he’s going to do if you beat him!”.
He nodded, hands still in tight fists but he understood.

the wedding video- h.s imagine

After pressing the record button, Niall sat down on the chair across from you. He gave you a thumbs up which you returned back with a smile.

“So Y/N, tell me about what you thought about Harry the first time you met.” Niall read off the list he prepared to ask both you and Harry. With your wedding coming up in a couple of weeks, Niall thought about what he could possibly give you guys as a wedding gift. He wanted to get you guys something special. He wanted to get you something that hopefully one days you guys will cherish. So…he came up with the brilliant idea of creating a pre-wedding video for you guys. He planned to interview you and Harry separately and ask you questions about your relationship. He figured that maybe you guys might want to play it for the guests at the wedding. He also thought in the future, if you guys were ever feeling doubtful or getting through a rough patch in the marriage, you guys would have this video to watch and remember the love you guys have.

You let out a chuckle as you remember the day you met Harry clear as day, three years ago. “The first thought I had about Harry?” You repeated, looking back at Niall, trying to avoid contact with the camera (Niall said that it would look more authentic that way). Niall smiled and nodded his head.

“Clumsy.” You looked down at your lap and shrugged your shoulders as you let out another laugh. Niall softly let out a chuckle himself. “I remember when he was walking up to me, I guess he was so nervous, he spilled his wine on me.”

You shook your head and with a smile, you continued, “He was apologizing a million times a minute. I was laughing the whole time. I remember Harry’s face was as red as a tomato. He promised he would buy me a new blouse.”

Niall smiled, having a mini flashback from when Harry told him about how he spilled his drink on the most beautiful girl he has ever seen in his life. He remembers Harry’s lazy smile as he described how funny you were and how you even laughed at his God awful puns. “And did he ever buy you a new blouse?”

You looked up at Niall and laughed, “You know what? He actually never did. He did buy me a drink though that night.”

“When did you first realize you loved Harry?” Niall asked as he read out another question.

You remained quiet as you tried remembering. In reality, there were tons of moments where you just stopped for a moment and took a minute to look at Harry and go, “I really love this man.” You tried pin pointing the moment where you knew Harry was it for you.

Finally you answered, “The first time I realized Harry was when we babysat Freddie for the first time. Louis was in a bit of a pickle and didn’t have anyone to babysit so naturally we volunteered. As soon as Louis left the door, Freddie was an absolute mess. He was crying and screaming off the walls. We didn’t know what to do. It wasn’t until Harry picked up Freddie and whispered into his ear ‘Everything will be okay. Daddy will be back soon’ that he started to settle down. Seeing how well Harry treated Freddie and how he was able to calm him down that quickly, it made me realize that I wanted Harry to be the father to my children one day. Seeing him like that…it made me fall in love.”

As you were telling the story, you were staring at the ring on your finger with a smile. Harry’s always been wonderful with children and you knew, without a doubt, he was going to be the most amazing father.

Niall looked down at his list of questions. He smiled as he read out one of the last questions, “Do you have a message for Harry before the wedding?”

You smiled as you stared directly into the camera. “I love you, Harry. I love you so much my heart hurts. I love how you’re able to make me laugh even when I’m feeling as low as can be. I love your stupid puns even when no one else does. I can’t wait until I’m your wife. Nothing will make me happier.” You paused and wiped your eyes as they began to get teary, “I know in my heart we are meant to be. You’re my soul mate and I am so lucky to get to spend everyday for the rest of my life with you.”

“Alright Harry, I’m just going to ask you some questions, alright mate?” Niall asked as he sat down on his chair across from Harry.

Harry nodded his head as he stared at the blinking red light at the top of the camera. Niall looked down at his questions, debating on what question he should ask first. Finally, Niall asked, “What was going on in your mind as you were proposing to Y/N?”

Harry took a hold of his bottom lip and let out a chuckle as he stared off into the ground. “I was thinking ‘God, I hope I don’t shit my pants’. There I was on one knee, asking the most beautiful girl known to man to spend the rest of her life with me. There’s always that doubt in your mind. Yes, you’ve been with that person for a long time but that doesn’t necessarily mean they want to be in that type of commitment with you. I think any person thinks that as they’re proposing. They think, ‘Please take that leap of faith in me’. And when she said yes…I just couldn’t believe it. Honestly, it took my mind a moment to realize that she said it. To this day, I still can’t believe it.”

“What was your first impression of Y/N?”

“My first impression of Y/N…she’s gorgeous. I saw her from across the room, just standing there and she took my breath away. I knew that I had to talk to her or I would regret it for the rest of my life. Somehow, without even knowing what her name was, I knew she was the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with.” Harry smiled as he looked at Niall.

Niall nodded as he mentally praised himself for having one of the best wedding gifts ever. “What’s your favorite thing about Y/N?”

Harry looked down at his fingers, playing with his rings. “I couldn’t pick just one. I love everything about her. I love how kind her heart is. I love how she never saw me as Harry Styles, celebrity. She saw me as me. Plain, old Harry Styles. In our entire relationship, I never had to worry about her loving me for the wrong reasons. I knew she loved me for who I am. Not my status. I love how she’s beautiful, inside and out. I just love her.”

Niall stood up and stopped the video from recording. He clapped his hands together, “Alright. I think I have enough questions.”

thank you guys so much for reading! i love hearing from you guys! let me know what you thought!

It didn’t matter if you hated her guts everyone went, either for the alcohol, the drama or just to see the castle of a home the popular girl lived in.

The most surprising thing was when you noticed that Jughead Jones was lounging around the room where everyone was. You couldn’t believe he had made an appearance at this party because majority of the popular kids were rude to him. You noticed that Archie was even surprised at Jughead.

“Jughead what are you doing here?” You asked. He had opened his mouth before Cheryl interrupted.

“Let’s have some fun. A little truth or dare never hurt anyone.” Cheryl smiled, “Well maybe once but they moved away.”

You rolled your eyes at her words because she would have been the reason that person fled town. The girl pouted her plump lips before calling everyone to circle up.

a/n: i’m fuckin dying where is this angst coming from why am i so troubled who hurt me

The sunlight shining into Shawn’s eyes woke him up, and the pounding in his head kept him awake. He opened his eyes, and sat up on the bed. “Babe?” He asked, stretching. He saw the Advil and water, and thanked you silently as he popped the bottle open, and swallowed the pills with a few gulps of water.

Getting out of bed, Shawn didn’t see you in the bathroom, nor did he see you in the spare room where you usually did yoga in the morning. “Honey? You home?” He asked, walking out into the hall. He passed the mirror that was hanging up, and froze.

Walking backwards, he looked at his chest in the mirror, and he felt his stomach turn. “No.” He whispered, adrenaline pumping through his veins.

The Bookstore

Hey guys! It’s me again, and I sorta wanted to write a Tom meet-cute because I daydream about those 25/8? This is just soft, fluffy and sweet, I hope you like it!
Author’s note: Tom is my screensaver and I went to Barnes and Noble today and the girl that was ringing me up was really, really nice and we were talking about Marvel because I was buying a comic, (I finally found Spider-Man Blue, three cheers for me!) and she was literally like, “oh my gosh, you and Tom would be super adorable together! I can just see it now!” And I sort of died? So this is just a story branching off of that?
The Bookstore
“Is that your boyfriend?” The saleslady asked, referencing the girl’s phone, as a smile that stretched from ear to ear crossed over her features. “He comes in quite often, has mostly good taste in books, although, sometimes his choices are questionable at best. Likes fantasy and adventure, some good, some not.”
The girl’s eyes widened and her mouth flopped open and shut like a guppy’s as she attempted to stutter out an appropriate response.
Tom Holland was the girl’s screensaver, and no, he most definitely wasn’t her boyfriend because he had no idea that she existed. Even if he had stumbled across her fan account, she’d just be another fan to Tom, maybe she’d even stand out for being an ultimate creep.
“He’s a very polite boy, you’re so lucky! My daughters are only interested in self-obsessed assholes.” The lady began to scan her choices, continuing to rant about her daughter’s apparent bad taste in men.
The girl was still struggling to comprehend her situation. The saleswoman clearly knew Tom, who apparently came in often, as did she, so she couldn’t really say that he wasn’t her boyfriend without looking like an utter and complete weirdo.
Pondering, she bit the inside of her cheek. Their paths had never crosses, so what could be the harm in indulging in a little fantasy? “We’ve been dating since last Spring,” She said, not daring to look into the kind eyes of the saleswoman.
“Ah, I see. I bet you two look absolutely adorable together, maybe turn him onto some high quality literature next time he comes in, eh?” The woman smiled from across the counter, waving the girl’s new Philip Roth books in the air before handing them over.
Reaching for her five purchases, the girl smiled and nodded, “I’ll do my very best!” She called and waved as she left the store.
Over the next few days, Tom wandered back into the bookstore. Navigating his way down the store’s narrow aisles, Tom searched for something that he could read on the plane that he’d inevitably be boarding sometime soon. He paused every so often to pick up a book, glance over the summary on the back, and reshelve it to it’s proper home.
After shuffling down another section, he came across the very same saleswoman who had helped the girl moonlighting as his girlfriend.
“How come you guys never come in together? She knows some good authors, I’m sure she’d love to help broaden your horizons.” The saleswoman said, maintaining her position, crouched over to straighten and tidy the shelves.
Tom looked around, unsure of who the woman was speaking to, because as far as he knew, none of his friends knew about this store. They opted for Barnes and Noble, while he prefered to dig.
“Yes, you. I just met your girlfriend and she’s lovely. Great taste in books.” The woman said again.
Scratching his head, Tom wasn’t exactly sure what to say, so he played along, not wanting to be rude. Surely she must be confusing him with someone else, because he didn’t have a girlfriend to share books with, as much as he’d like one.
“Yeah, we just have different schedules, she’s usually in class when I peruse the bookstore.” Tom said, bending down to help the woman on the floor.
“She’s very cute, and very sweet. It’s nice to see young people reading something that isn’t their twitter feed.” The woman said, taking one last glance at the fixed up shelf, before nodding decisively and standing up.
Tom stood as well, chuckling, “My Dad’s an author, so reading has always been apart of my life.”
“You guys are lovely, let me know if I can be of any help.” The woman began to walk away and Tom shook his head and laughed.
“How do you know that my girl is my girl? We never come in at the same time.” Tom asked suddenly, curiosity leaking into his bloodstream.
“She comes in more often than you, buys more books than you, and you’re her screensaver. It’s quite cute, actually.” The saleslady called out.
There it is, Tom thought, she might be a fan. He couldn’t think of any other reason that he’d be her screensaver. Shoving his hands into his pockets, Tom smirked and picked out not one, but two books. One to leave at the register for her the next time that he came in, and one for him to read while he was on the press tour.
“That is so thoughtful! She’ll love it!” The woman said from behind the cash register, clapping her hands together. “I’ll make sure that she gets it, alright? Wanna put a little message in it, promise I won’t peak! I’ve got a pen right here!” She chirped happily.
“Yeah, alright, I’ll actually do that. Could I please borrow your pen?” Tom asked.
Drawing a heart to conclude the note to his ‘girlfriend’ that he’d never met, he said thank you one to the lady one last time and left the store.
The very next morning, the girl pushed her wallet back into her purse at the bookstore’s register, waiting for the same saleswoman to finish ringing her up.
“Saw your boyfriend yesterday, left a little something for you.” The saleswoman smiled, turning around to sift through the books on display behind her to find Tom’s choice for the girl.
The girl felt the fiery licks of scarlet coloring her skin again. Her hands shook, surely Tom thought that she was a mega, ultra stalker. He’d probably left her a note begging her to kindly fuck off. She wished Mother Earth would swallow her up the same way it did to Sita in ‘The Ramayana.’
“Don’t be embarrassed, silly, it’s endearing.” The woman handed her a book titled, ‘Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair’ by Pablo Neruda. “He’s paid for it, of course, and he left you a little note on the first page. Lent him the pen myself.”
“He really shouldn’t have,” the girl stuttered, her hands almost noticeably shaking as she held the book within her palms.
Inside, Tom had scribbled out,
Seeing as you’re my girlfriend, I thought it was only fitting to leave you at least twenty love poems. Left you a song of despair as well, seeing as we haven’t met yet.
Love always,
Your devoted boyfriend, Tom

“Could I go back and pick one out for him as well?” The girl asked, feeling a tiny bit braver after reading Tom’s cheeky message for her.
“Of course! I love this, I wish more couples did things like this for each other, it’s endearing!” The saleswoman smiled, shutting the register.
After picking out an appropriate novel, she left the store, smiling, blushing and practically gliding on air.
Later that very afternoon, Tom was chased by the overbearing coldness of the afternoon breeze, and his own excitement over whether or not she’d received his present, back into the bookstore.
Not even bothering to look at anything, he came to a halt in front of the saleswoman, who upon seeing him enter, tore through her display to retrieve the novel that she’d left for him.
“Did she get it? Did she like it, I haven’t heard from her yet.” Tom asked, beaming at the woman.
“She loved it! She loved it so much, in fact, that she’s left one for you as well.” She handed him a novel called ‘One Day.’ “She’s left a love note for you as well!”
Tearing the book open, Tom came across her delicate handwriting sprawled in black ink.
Here’s to hoping that I meet you one day.
With all the love in my heart-
Your mystery girlfriend
Fighting the urge to hug the book closer to his chest, Tom made a choice.
“I’m going to go pick her a book out right now, and I’m going to wait right here until she comes back in. I want to give her this one in person.” Tom turned on his heel to search for the perfect book for to give her, when the saleswoman informed him that she’d already been in today.
“Alright then, I’ll be back first thing tomorrow.” Tom blushed, but continued on his way down through the shelves, desperate to find the perfect book for her.
Deciding on ‘You,’ by Caroline Kepnes, Tom paid and left the store, planning to return right when the bookstore opened.
The very next morning, Tom was perched in a cushy, plush chair, obscured by stacks and shelves housing novels, waiting for her. He’d positioned himself perfectly, ensuring that he could see the register at all times, but that the people at the register wouldn’t be able to spot him, unless they knew where he was hiding.
He was completely on edge. Every time the door opened, he’d practically leap to his feet, only to be met with disappointment because mostly everyone who wandered in off the street was either male, or too old to be his mystery girlfriend.
Finally, when Tom had all but lost hope, a girl so otherworldly beautiful that Tom truly debated in his mind whether or not the girl was even a girl, he briefly wondered if she was an ethereal fairy of sorts, floated into the room.
Her hair reflected light the same way that waves in the sea did, and her voice was so soft and warm that it sounded as he imagined his favorite hot drink would taste. She waved hello to the saleswoman before diving into the poetry section, hidden deep within the store.
Jumping to his feet, Tom rushed to finally meet her, rolling the book he planned to give her in between his palms.
Checking his hair one more time, Tom came to a stop next to her.
“Excuse me miss, I was just wondering if you happen to be my mystery girlfriend, who apparently has better taste in books than me?” Tom’s confidence was evaporating as she turned around to face him.
She was even prettier up close and Tom wanted to scratch his own eyes out for beginning the conversation with such a shit line.
Thankfully, she smiled, a strawberry jam colored blush widening across her delicate features. “That would be me, but unfortunately, you’ve caught me off guard and now I don’t have anything to give to you.” Her eyes refused to meet his own for more than a few seconds.
She could barely believe any of this. First, her celebrity crush and her happened to both shop at the same bookstore. Then, he goes along with the charade of being her boyfriend, and even leaves her gifts, and now, he was standing in front of her.
He looked like Prince Charming and her brain was turning to mush.
“Lucky for you, I don’t mind. But, I do have a book for you.” Holding the novel, ‘You,’ out to her, he began to sway from foot to foot, nervous that she’d hate it.
“Funny enough, that’s one of my favorite books,” She laughed, “But are you planning to kill me?” She referenced the plot of ‘You,’ which was more or less a horror story, hardly the conventional romance.
Stuttering, Tom attempted to clear his name. “I just thought it was fitting, seeing as we met in a bookstore, and so did Joe and Beck,” the main characters who become romantically involved in the novel, “And really, I just wanted you to have the line about the mouse in the house.”
“Are you going to get a cat to chase me out?” She teased, and Tom laughed.
“Absolutely not, you’re just all I’ve been thinking about. I wanna know you, and learn from your apparently epic choices in literature.” Tom said, leaning in closer to her.
“Than sit, and I’ll pick you something out?” She questioned, shyly moving to sit on the floor, her arm curled around more than a few options.
The pair scooched into one another one the floor, and the saleswoman watched, smiling from her spot at the register. Her two favorite customers were finally together.
Her eyes twinkled as she turned the radio onto a station that played only love songs.
They read love poems, and love stories together, so it only seemed fair that they listened to only love songs as well.

I am Spiderman -Tom Holland

A/N: I kind of got carried away, this is totally what my father did when I was little and asked him a question! FLUUUUUUFF and stuff

Enjoy!

You were sitting on the couch, Toms arm wrapped around you and you were watching a movie. He placed a kiss on your temple every now and then and you went up and down his thigh with your fingertips.

“If you keep doing that we’ll have to take this into the bedroom, darling.”, he said into your ear his voice muffled because of your hair. You looked up woth a smirk to say something when you got interrupted.

“Mom? Dad!”

“Livingroom honey!”, you yelled back and a couple seconds later your ten yesr old daughter was standing infront of you. “I’ve got this homework. Could you help me out?”, she asked sitting down on the carpet and placing her exercise book on the coffeetable. “Of course. What is it?”, Tom asked and looked over her shoulder.

“So there are questions I have to answer and some of them are about my parents. So how did you guys meet?”, she asked and took her pen ready to write her sentence.

“Well.”, Tom started and you closed your mouth leaving him to tell her. “It was around the time where I started shooting spiderman…”

*** Flashback***

Friday - 6:55

Every morning started the same. Exact same time. You took your keys, shoulderd your bag and closed the door behind you, leaving your parents house. A black car drove down the street while you took off to the bus stop where you hopped on the bus 207. Your ride lasting 12 minutes, you were down town at 7:07. It took you about 15 minutes to walk to the café where you were working. So you walked into the Hots'n Buns at 7:22, making the bell above the door ring painfully loud. Right about then Mrs.Walker walked by you like every morning. She had grey puffy hair, was about 4"11 and had round glasses on her nose. “Morning me lady.”, you greeted her and tapped your imaginery hat and she smile back at you. “Right about time.”, she joked and you chuckled. “7:22. As always Mrs.Walker.”, you said walking past her into the kitchen. You entered the kitchen at 7:25 and took your cooking apron off the hook and put it on. “Hiya.”, Maddy greeted you while hanging her own apron back. “What’s up? Something new?”, you asked and she shrugged. “No newbies. Suit-Man two coffees. Perl-lady 5 buns. Mrs. Walker two Baguettes…”, she said and took a deep breath.

“And hoodie-boy two croissants and one large black coffee.”, you both said simultanously and grinned at each other.

“Alright. I’ll see you tomorrow.”, she said and I nodded.

“7:25 you know it!”, I yelled because she was already going out the door.

At exactly 7:30 you were standing at the counter ready to take in the orders. You were known by the staff and the customers for your punctuality. It was just a thing that you tried to keep up. For no exact reason but it was fun. Exactly 8 hours later you hung your apron back and took your stuff to get out of the Café.

You didn’t know if you got jinxed or something because the next morning you woke up late. Only 10 minutes but very important 10 minutes. Meaning: You’d be late. You didn’t get to have breakfast, you missed your bus and had to take 305 to get to town. It was already 7:17 when you got down town and it was 7:32 when the bell above the door rang. Was it more annoying this morning or was it just your nerves? You did not get to meet Mrs.Walker with her two baguettes and her genuine smile. Which was bad enough. So it was 7:35 when you entered the kitchen where Maddy was waiting with her hands on her hips. You shot her a glare and she threw her hands in the air.

“Don’t say nothin’”, you said obviously pissed off and she shook her head.

“You held it up for three years. That’s somthing.”, she said and you shot her another glare.

“I’m not sayin’ nothin’.”, she defended herself and added,“It’s only 10 minutes. Everybody comes 10 minutes late.”

“Not me.”, you growled and pushed the door open to the counter. You wrote Jessica that she could come 10 minutes later because you would stay in ten minutes longer. No one expected that from you but it was your punishment for yourself. Not that you needed it.

Because everything went wrong that day. Only because of 10 damn minutes. Three people complained about their coffee which you couldn’t understand. And then while making coffee for them again the coffee machine went off on you. It just did nothing. So no coffee for already annoyed customers. One woman didn’t pay enough. You saw it, she ran away, you had to pay the rest because you wanted to keep the job. Otherwise your manager would flip his shit. And last but not least: A tiny human being, also called child, decided to drop his cup right before you walked by their table and you slipped on his drink, landing directly in the puddle of ice-tea.

It was after 15:30. Normally you would be gone just now but not today. The lunch rush was over and it was quiet in the Café so you took your chance to repair the coffee machine. You didn’t know how long you worked on it but as soon as you made it work the bell rang. Your back was faced to the room so you didn’t know who came in. “Yes!”, you said triumphantly to yourself and threw your fist into the air. “Hello there. Same as always, please.”, you heared someone say to you with an english accent and you turned around to look at him. “Huh.”, you said and put your hands on your hips. There he was. A young man, probably as old as you, in a black hoodie. He had the kindest brown eyes you’ve had ever seen and it made you smile. “I-I’m sorry, what?”, you asked after he raised a brow and smiled back.

“Oh sorry. I thought you were Jessica!”, he said and shook his head apologetically. Why on earth did he know Jessica? No offense. “What?”, you asked again and facepalmed yourself in your mind for sounding so dumb. “Sorry, you must be new here. I’ve never seen you here before. I’ll have a Latté and a Brownie please.”, he ordered again and smiled but you didn’t think of moving and raised a brow at him.

“No I’m quite old. You probably come in here for the first time.”, you suggested and put the Brownie into a paperbag. “Actually I’ve been coming here for the last year everyday.”, he said with a grin.

“Name?”, you asked with a small grin on your lips as you took a cup and a pen to write his name.

“Tom.”

“Well Tom. I’ve been working here for three years and I’ve never seen you around.”, you said while writing his name.

“What a shame.”, he teased you and you looked up immediatly to see him smirk.

“Which means you always came in too late. After I ended my shift.”, you said and put the cup into the coffee machine.

“Naaah. I’ve been coming in everyday exactly at 15:36. Punctuality thing of mine.”, he said and you looked at him over your shoulder. It hit you right then that you always missed this cutie for a year because you always left at exactly 15:30. Everyday.

“Well it’s your lucky day then. Cause I came in late today and thus I had to work longer.”, you explained and took the coffee off the machine. “You’re welcome.”, I smiled at him putting the coffee down on the counter. “Thank you.”, he chuckled and took the coffee into his other hand. He looked at you for a longer time and then shook his head lightly still smiling.

“Alright. I gotta go.”, he said and you nodded. “Off you go.”, you said and smiled back. “See ya.”, he said and turned his back on you and walked towards the door. “If you come in earlier, maybe.”, you called after him and you were sure that you heared him laugh. You checked the time when he went out the door. 15:40. That was your call. You went into the kitchen and changed shifts with Jessica who came in earlier. “Did you see Tom? What a babe am I right? I’ve been trying to get his number for a year now. Do you think he noticed?”, she asked you while you were hanging your apron back on the hook. “We’ve had a chat. But not about you, sorry.”, you said and shrugged. While you walked out of the kitchen with your normal clothes on, Jessica walked to the counter. Right about then you bumped into a chest because you were checking your phone.

“Sorry.”, you both apologized at the same time. Realising the voice your head shot up and you looked into those beutiful brown eyes. “Hey.”, he smiled.

“Hey.”

“What are you doing here? Problem with the coffee? People been complaining all day. Thought I fixed the darn thing.”, you said and looked at his cup of coffee.

“No! No. I just…forgot the sugar. And, you know…”, he said and I shook my head.

“I actually don’t know. Are we out of sugar? Are you gonna complain about that? Look man,my shift is over. You can give your compl…”, you started but he cut you off.

“No! No complaint. Jesus. What happened today?”, he laughed and you huffed in relieve. “A lot.”, you chuckled.

“So I actually came back cause…I felt dumb. For not asking for your name.”, he said insecurely and you laughed out loud. He looked taken aback for a sec and you gathered yourself together immediatly.

“You came back for that?”

“Yeah?”, he said now unsure.

“Why don’t you call the number I wrote on the cup, Sugar.”, you said and pointed at his cup. “Wha-…ohmygod.”, he blurted out and sighed. His cheeks blushed and I chuckled. You looked down and saw just then his weird looking red boots. “Hey! What’s up with those?”, you asked and pointed at his feet. His head shot up immediatly and he looked horrofied. “I gotta go! Sorry, I’ll call to ask for your name!”, he called while running out of the café.

“Y/N!”, you yelled after him, not reslly sure if he heared it or not.

“So…you guys met in a café?”, your daughter said after Tom finished his detailled story and his mouth dropped which made you laugh. “Yes sweetie.”, you answered for him and watched how she wrote down ‘They met in s café’.

“Isn’t that a little minimalist of you to…”, Tom started with an offended look on his face but you cut him off.

“You’re doing great Rose. Anything else?”, you chuckled but she shook her head, so her brown locks bounced up and down. “Go finish your homework then. We’ll go out for dinner later.”, you told her and she got excited.

“Can we get McDonalds?!”, she exclaimed and raised her hands. “It’s Daddys turn to decide.”, you said and looked over to Tom who was still shocked. “And…he will tell you after you finish your homework.”, you added after seeing that he wouldn’t answer. She took off with her book and you shook your head still laughing.

“We met in café…We met in a CAFÉ?”, he sighed after she was gone and you let yourself fall onto your back and held your belly laughing. “That’s what she got? I’m gonna have to have a talk with her.”, he said and you playfully hit his shoulder. “Shut up!”, you said and he looked at you. “What are you laughing at?”, he said with raised brows.

“She asked you how we met. Not our whole dating life.”, you teased him and sat back up. “I didn’t tell her about what we did at our second date.”, he teased you back and you raised a brow. “I can’t quite recall that?”

“I’ll show you, Sugar.”, he said and leaned in to kiss you. You placed your hands on his neck and pulled him closer. He put his hands on your waist and let his fingers gently slide under your shirt.

“I’m done! Ew gross!” The voice of your daughter made you jump apart. You looked at eachother in disbelief and Tom broke the silence. “Daddy wanted to show you what Mommy and…”, he started but you muffled his voice by pressing your hand on his mouth. “Tom!”, you said in disbelief and looked up at your daughter. “Go get your coat Rose. We’ll be there in a sec.”, you told her and she took off again.

“You’re unbelievable.”, you said and took your hand off his mouth.

“I am Spiderman.”, he smirked.

Sehun scenario | love/hate drama | Office AU | Mild smut (kind of)

Summary: In which you and Sehun are co-workers who hate each other and are forced to team up…until an unexpected encounter maybe sort of leads to some confusing feelings….

A/N: I’m on a roll with these scenarios…but who doesn’t love a juicy love/hate relationship? I really hope you enjoy this one, I had so much fun writing it 😉  (Also, bless this gif, it fits the story perfectly)

Your bad day at work started early that morning when you accidently spilled coffee down your pristine white blouse, and could do nothing to fix it.

You prayed that no one would point it out at least until you could borrow someone’s blazer to cover up the stain. But alas, as soon as you quickly began walking towards your desk, you heard a loud voice.

“Is that actual shit on your shirt, Y/N?”
