I spotted this dish onFoodspotting.com. It’s the Corned Beef Reuben from Palm Beach Ale House.
If you’re not familiar with Foodspotting.com, it is a way for locals to find and post pictures of their favorite restaurant dishes. The website takes pride in several of its unique qualities:
It’s about dishes, not restaurants. It not only helps you pick a restaurant, but also a dish.
It’s visual. When you’re not in the mood to read long, detailed reviews, you browse pics of dishes in your area.
It’s positive. You may find an amazing dish at a one-star restaurant and you can nominate it.
It’s global. Foodspotting can work in any town in the world.
My favorite feature is that you can browse by dish. So for example, my best friend who is craving fried green tomatoes in her city can just enter that dish into the search engine and browse photos that other locals in her town nominated as their city’s best fried green tomatoes! She can then either “want it”, which will add it to a personalized list of foods that she wants to sample, or “nominate it” if she had it and enjoyed.
I’m excited to see some good West Palm dishes, but there are lot of great ones missing! Post pics and nominate your favorite dishes for other West Palmers to try. Here’s a few local favorites I can’t wait to find more of on the West Palm search:
chocolate chip cookie
slice of key lime pie
For now, that Corned Beef Rueben from Palm Beach Ale House- I want it!
