food for the food god

Tsukiyo’s style returning with Keima and friends!

One of the most interesting and/or challenging thing about this style was restricting myself to a palette of five colors ONLY:

  1. Black
  2. White
  3. Hair color
  4. The character color
  5. The color opposite of the character’s color

It made me have to think a while to make sure the outfits were coordinated well!

The BEST reason to dislikereligion

I have decided that yes, I do very much dislike religion. Not because of what people believe in, but the fact that they believe it—that a god somewhere loves them and will make sure that everything will be okay as long as they are “faithful.” This means denying/being dismissive of/apathetic to the ONE thing that affects EVERY PERSON ON THE PLANET: the CLIMATE.

It’s not just those white, male politicians who don’t give a fuck what the best scientists say, it’s the RELIGIOUS people all over the world. Most deny climate science because it doesn’t align with their idea of “god(s)” and “his perfect creations.” They believe that “god(s)” created humans and that he/she loves us most, because we are the most “perfect” of the “creations.” They are so scared of their “god” safety net being taken away that they are gambling on the lives of millions and billions of people. INCLUDING those of their children.

Yet many of these deniers are the SAME people who take advantage of ALL OTHER SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENT, whether it be medicine and medical technology, fast transportation like cars, trains, and airplanes, everyday electricity, etc. So they’ll take all the science that benefits them, and say the rest of it isn’t real.

MANY of the deluded ones don’t really think climate change is fake—perhaps they just think it’s not a problem, that the climate has changed in the past, and that everything will correct itself in due time, “by the grace of god.” I’m sorry, WHAT?!

Do you want your children and descendants to have enough food and water? Yes? Okay, START CARING about ecosystems, not just your backyard. Those bananas, mangoes, peppers, kiwis, melons, etc. from Chile, Mexico, Guatemala, and elsewhere may not be coming in forever. Certain fish and shrimp may not be, either, thanks to overfishing and rising ocean temperatures. Already there are severe droughts and famines killing THOUSANDS, perhaps millions, of people in Somalia, Sudan, Madagascar, and Niger. Yet hundreds of millions of people in the “global north” turn a blind eye, not listening to scientists’ evidence and consequences of climate change, because THEY WANT TO KEEP THEIR “GOD.”

Oh and by the way, your DAILY WEATHER is NOT the same thing as the CLIMATE. If it’s snowing, it means it’s snowing.

Religion has brought us beautiful art, architecture, literature, and music. It can comfort the sick, dying, and impoverished. But it blinds people to the most pressing problem humanity has ever faced. And so far it looks like homo sapiens is too attached to a magic man in the sky to even try to save Earth’s species. That includes us.

Monday 8:27am
I woke up with you on my mind.
You called me babe last night —
my heart is still pounding.

Tuesday 10:53pm
Today I realized we won’t work.
What we are is hurting her.
And I think she matters more to me than you do.

Wednesday 11:52pm
I broke things off with you today.
She barely said a word.
I’ve never regretted anything more than this.

Thursday 4:03pm
I shouldn’t have sent that message.
You shouldn’t have been so okay with receiving it.

Friday 9:57pm
I almost messaged you today.
I didn’t.

Saturday 8:49pm
I’m walking around town in search of alcohol.
They say that liquor numbs the pain of having a broken heart.
I want to put that to the test.

Sunday 2:32am
I heard you texted a girl you’ve never spoken to before.
I wonder if it’s because you’re trying to replace me.
I can’t help but wish you weren’t.
I thought I was irreplaceable.
