Today has been kinda tough actually. I seem to have one low day a week. Hopefully will feel a bit brighter tomorrow and I’ll see something good on the scale!

Intake 1/18

So I’m probably not done eating for the day but I don’t know if I’ll have a chance to post this later. Night shift got let off at 9:30AM and we have to be back at work at 6PM tonight because it’s expected to snow.

I have been toying with the idea of going more vegetarian but I won’t completely give up meat. However I do tend to sometimes bounce between vegan, vegetarian, and meat options so we’ll see.

My new breakfast obsession… banana and avocado smoothie (1 large banana + 1 properly ripe avocado + milk + water + honey)! I know it may sound strange to some, but it’s really good. lol and so creamy and refreshing. I even managed to convert my boyfriend as well. ♥

Another very simple, healthy meal: chicken breast (poached and then pan fried briefly in a bit of olive oil) with a quick homemade mustard sauce (milk, butter, a bit of corn flour, garlic, dijon mustard, dill, salt and black pepper), steamed broccoli and new potatoes.

Clean Eating Challenge Day 16!

Hope everyone had a great MLK Holiday. I had a great day spending time with my babies.

What I ate today:

Meal One: Chili I made with Black Beans, Pinto Beans, Kidney Beans, Red Onion, Garlic, Vegan Crumbles, Spices and Tomatoes.

Snacks: 2 coffees with Soy Creamer & Frozen Fruit. (Not all at the Same time)

Meal 2: ½ Burrito Bowl that I forgot to take a picture of, but it was from Chipotle and had brown rice, black beans, pinto beans, fajitas, sofritas, Pico, and Guacamole.

Notes: I got horrible stomach pains after meal 2, and I think it was because of the sofritas. I usually don’t get them, but I was splitting the bowl with Serena, and she picked them out.  

Clean eating challenge Day 9

Breakfast: Cacao Powder & Peanut Butter Powder Oats with Blueberries

Lunch: Romaine Lettuce, Boca Burger, Mustard

Dinner: Black Bean Soup. Whole Garlic Clove Bread with pine nut hummus.

Snacks: Hummus with romaine lettuce, 2 black coffees, 1 coffee with Soy Milk and Agave.

Notes:
My stomach is upset again tonight. 🙄

I didn’t work out this morning but I did go on a 2 hour walk with the kids.

I also got weighed today and I haven’t lost anything.

Its only been 9 days so I’m not really upset.

I do think I need to tweak my diet a little and maybe cut some calories out.

Or maybe just track my calories for a few days because I honestly have no idea how much Im eating.

Clean eating Challenge Day 6

What I ate today.

Breakfast: Gluten Free Oats, Cacao Powder, Cinnamon, Agave, Frozen Blueberries.

 Lunch: Lentils, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Brown Rice, Tomato Sauce.

Dinner: Salad made w/ Romaine Lettuce, Red Onion, Cucumber, Avocado, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and Kalamata Olives. 

Snacks/Other: Black Coffee. Popcorn.

Notes: After Dinner my Stomach Pains came back. So that sucks. Also, It’s almost 8:30 pm and I haven't done any exercises yet but hopefully Serena goes to bed soon and I can do some yoga and a butt workout before bed. 

Clean eating challenge day 7. (Yesterday)

Breakfast:
Frozen Fruit.
Oats made with water, Cacao powder, Cinnamon and Agave
Black Coffee.

Lunch:
Salad made with Romaine, cucumbers, red onion, olives, avocado, and lemon juice.
Brown rice

Dinner:
Brown Rice, Steamed Broccoli, A Lot of Baked Tofu. Hummus

Snacks:
Olives
Peppers dipped in Hummus.

1/8/2017 evening entry

Today, I mostly kicked ass. I drank 64 oz of water maybe for the first time in my life. I got my 10,000 steps in, and I took a 50 minute walk. And I tracked my sodium and calorie intake:

Breakfast/Lunch (12pm): Peanut butter and jelly sandwich, blackberries, and strawberries

Snack (3pm): Peanut butter and jelly sandwich (again. lol). Also a mini kitkat bar.

Dinner (6pm): Broccoli, onion, mushroom, veggie meat, and swiss cheese stir fried in olive oil. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate and white chocolate chips.

Day 17 Meal 2: Shiritaki angel hair+lean turkey cooked in 1 tbs butter and tomato paste. 377 (!) calories 11 net carbs.

It took me 3.5 hours to get home from work, then I had a phone meeting, so only had 200 calories up until 9PM and was freaking starving. Now I’m trying to relax and figure out how I’m going to spend the rest of my evening. Still have so many calories left and a waning desire to go running later.

Day 5 clean eating challenge.

What I ate Wednesday!

Breakfast: Yoghurt, raspberries, graze cherry and chocolate protein topper* and a flat white.

Lunch: Chicken fajita salad (latest obsession).

Dinner: Chorizo, beans and cheese on toast.

Snacks: Cup of tea and a cup of coffee (not pictured).

Exercise: 5 min run, 25 min cross training and 10 min cycle.

*I’ve been getting the graze things for a few weeks now and I’m really enjoying them. This one I wasn’t a fan of though, I believe chocolate and granola should not mix! There’s only been one other that I haven’t liked which was a tomato dipper thing. Luckily you can rate them on the site so you don’t get them again. That baobab one I had the other day was amazing.

Clean eating challenge DAY 4.

Okay, my stomach is feeling a little better than yesterday but still not great.

What I ate today:

Breakfast- Hot Tea with Lemon & 2 small apples

Lunch- Roasted Potatoes & Broccoli

Dinner- Leftover Potatoes and Broccoli, Steamed Red Lentils, Steamed Seitan.

 I also drank a whole lot of sparkling water with lemon and frozen raspberries. 

Hopefully tomorrow I feel better, and I am eating back to normal.  I also probably will go grocery shopping tomorrow but Idk if I will feel up to it.

I did exercise today as well. I did some dance warmups and then some yoga. I did this yesterday too but I forgot to mention it.
