font codes

Here’s a thing that is helpful and free! It’s a plugin that uses a dyslexic-friendly font and color coding to make reading easier for everyone, but especially for those of us with dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning disabilities.

Above text reads: “Make reading easier and faster with BeeLine Reader! BeeLine uses a color gradient to guide your eyes from the end of one line to the beginning of the next. This seemingly simple tweak makes reading substantially easier and faster because it allows you to transition between lines quickly and effortlessly. Thousands of people have taken our online diagnostic test, and over 90% of them saw a benefit from BeeLine. Many people are able to read 20% or 30% faster with BeeLine, even on their first try.

Our Chrome extension works great on news articles, wikipedia pages, and other text-heavy websites. You can choose between several different color schemes, and more features will be coming soon.”

“Play it again Epsilon.

You sure? I’m not sure how healthy this is, Sis.

…Just play it again.”

The mist quickly clears (clears)
Illuminating the dazzling path (illuminating)
We become the wind we must become (become)
And stand dignified like champions

With your fingertips, to the stars, One, two, Bang (One, two, Bang)
Whether black or white, One, two, Bang (One, two, Bang)
As we wait on the throne
We only recognize those who come to us

(We sing) With our entire spirit
(We sing) From bonds to trust
(We sing) An active dream
(We sing) Is forever rising
Quartet song Quartet beat
Shine and dance Our kiss

Unleash the flash of lightning
In a sparkling moment’s wonder light
To that ultimate light,
Nothing, no, no, is impossible

You are the only one I’ll take
Since you gave me love and the sky
Love is truth
We don’t aim for legends,
what we’re aiming for is God’s S.T.A.R.

Being half-hearted isn’t the way to go (way to go)
It’s better suited with perfection (suited)
Now, at the end of passion (at the end)
More than anyone, defeat oneself

Even the afterlife, One two, ride (One two, ride)
There are no limits with imagination
How far can it get? Bet now
Will you bet?

I don’t care but
You may show me
In the red zone
Shake it off

Beyond the legend
The wonder light leading to God

anonymous asked:

in your theme, how did you get the red little hearts before the notes?

I used Font Awesome icons which are explained here. If you click the “try it yourself” button, it will show you how to code font sizes and colours. Once you’ve got the code, what you need to do is find this line of text:

and replace it with the new code.

no.  i don’t have a clue what you’re going on about.  i’m just trying to keep the conversation going.

(i’m sorry i’m late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY VAN… credit for scans i edited goes to @flowermikoscans!)

Hey, all! I wanted to share a CSS trick for improving readability on your themes.

The matter of readability/accessibility on themes is a bit controversial in the RP community. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that RPers will often have small font sizes coded in their themes, and on top of that, use HTML in their posts to make their font size small on the dashboard (e.g. <small></small>, , ). The result is posts that, when viewed on the RPer’s blog, are super incredibly tiny!

The way to fix this is to include CSS that targets the small, subscript, and superscript HTML and forces them to display at your default font size. If your font size is already 10px or 11px, think of how small your font will display after you <small></small> it! But if we force the theme to display this text at the default size, some of the readability issues are resolved.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Find your default font size.

If you coded your theme yourself, you should already know this! It’s whatever you coded your post font to display at. If you’re using a premade theme, it might take a little more searching, but you might have a drop-down/fill-in option for font size on your Customize page, or you might have to take a look in the code itself. The property that you’re looking for is font-size! Once you have that…

2. Create a new CSS rule that targets small, subscript, and superscript.

The reason we’re targeting all of these is because RPers tend to use one, or even a combination, of this HTML to make their text smaller on the dashboard. Here is how a rule targeting this HTML would look:

small, sub, sup {
      …
}

(Because we separated the selectors with commas, we can combine them all into one rule!)

3. Add in your font size.

Now that you have your rule, you can add in the declaration that will change the font size! If our default font was, for example, 11px, this is how it would look:

small, sub, sup {
      font-size: 11px;
}

That’s it!

That’s seriously all it takes! Now you’ve made your theme more readable and more easily accessible to your fellow RPers.

I hope this has been helpful! Feel free to drop by my ask if you have any questions or comments. nwn

Hello RP tags, I have a coding tutorial for you all regarding aligning text. I’ve noticed that to get around centering text, graphics will be made or posts will have a lot of spacing to try and center the text (though this is inefficient and doesn’t work from blog to blog like how it might on the dash).

In light of revamping my navigation page, I figured out an easy fix to achieve a centered text look on the blog ( not the dashboard itself ). To do that, open up ‘edit HTML’ on the customization page of your main theme. And below:

<style type="text/css">

Enter the following:

.clear {
    clear: both;
}

This works on both pages and posts that you make on your dash — you won’t notice a difference, really, in dashboard format but the change will be apparent on your blog.

Next, input this code:

h6 {
    font-family: "bodoni”, palatino, serif;
    font-size: 30px;
    font-weight: 700;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    letter-spacing: 5px;
    color: #c9bdbd;
    padding: 5px;
    margin: 10px;
    text-align: center;
    border-top: 0px solid #462522;
}

‘h6′ can be any number just as long as it doesn’t conflict with any other header styles in the theme already ( for instance, h1, h2, h3, etc…. ). Customize the above however you want.

Now, in the HTML portions of a standard layout on a page and the HTML section on a dash post, input this code:

<div class="clear"></div><h6>TEXT HERE</h6>

You’ll notice that when you switch back to rich text, it will be bold ( and depending on font size, smaller ). ( disclaimer: the format of the above code will be lost when switching back to rich text on dashboard posts, so all other information before / after have to be added in the html section. however you can go back and forth on the HTML when in your customization settings editing a page ).

Here is what it looks like on my blog:

If you have questions, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
