365 Day Movie Challenge - #44: Folies Bergère de Paris (1935) - dir. Roy Del Ruth

I’ve been a fan of Maurice Chevalier for about as long as I can remember, but this amusing film is one I’d never had the chance to see. (My mother has been telling me for years that it’s great.) Chevalier does a wonderful job in dual roles. Although I’m not a huge fan of either Merle Oberon or Ann Sothern, the supporting cast is terrific, including Eric Blore, Ferdinand Munier, Walter Byron, Lumsden Hare, Robert Greig and Ferdinand Gottschalk. The dance numbers feel like Busby Berkeley retreads, but the film is still worth a watch.
