Rotten Judgement - part 1

AU!Bucky Barnes x Reader

SummaryHercules!AU After selling your soul to save your lover’s life, you become one of the Lord of the Underworld’s slave. Bucky is obsessed with one thing: collecting hearts. But why?

Word Count:1,674

Warnings: Language, Angst, Slaves, Demonic creatures, Mythology

A/N: I’m blown away by your enthusiasm! Thank you guys, I hope it won’t disappoint. This is loosely based on Hercules, also used a few quotes. The glowing heart thing is from Once Upon A Time.

Rotten Judgement - Masterpage

You hurried along the busy streets of New York City, clutching your bag to your chest. The soft red glow of the beating heart you stole seeped through the small leather bag. Stealing hearts wasn’t something you were proud of, but you didn’t have a choice. You had sold your soul to the devil and agreed to serve him.

You hugged the bag closer as two people walked past you, afraid they might try to steal it. The heart beat steadily against your belly, making you feel nervous. Someone in Brooklyn was unknowingly living without his heart. Looking over your shoulder to make sure that no one was watching, you rounded the corner and entered the alleyway.

Who would have guessed that the passage to the Underworld was in the alley behind a bar? You opened the door hidden behind a trash dumpster and took a step forward, leaving the city and its noises behind.

A/N: this was written for @deansdirtylittlesecretsblog‘s Tropes Challenge - my trope was Best Friend’s Brother

“Uh, Dean?” you called over your shoulder into the apartment you shared with your best friend, never taking your eyes off of the man at the door.

He couldn’t be Dean’s little brother. Dean’s little brother was all limbs, a lanky, gangly kid; he had puppy-dog eyes and hand-me-down band tees.

The person in front of you, though… this tall, strong, gorgeous man, couldn’t be Sammy.

This is the full version of my mini fic, lil favor!

5.2k words. College!au. Min Yoongi. ft Park Jimin. Fluff.

Maybe making a deal with Yoongi to fake date for a month and do whatever he tells you to in exchange─ isn’t your brightest idea.

“Just so you know, I don’t like you.” You defiantly state.

The corner of Yoongi’s lips lifts up into a half smirk, gaze slanting your way, teasingly questioning your declaration. He tugs your intertwined hands to his side, yanking you closer to him as well until there’s hardly any space between the two of you.

“Likewise.” He says ever so calmly, it pisses you off.

You’re about to open your mouth to let a snarky remark put his smug ass in place but he beats you to it.

“You ready?”

The question brings you back to the situation at hand. Let’s see, you’ve made a deal with the devil, namely Min Yoongi who’s always been a tough competition in everything, you get the highest score in a test and he gets the highest score in your best class. Technically, asking your long term rival to pretend to be your fake boyfriend to ─how do you put it─ one up your ex, Jimin, whose presence is always graced by a group of female students after the rumor of the breakup made its way through campus, isn’t the best idea. But if it’s anyone that won’t judge you for your insecurities when you see those gorgeous girls Jimin is always seen talking to, or rather flirting with, then it would be Yoongi.

“Absolutely not.” You breathe out, eyes widening as if everything’s finally crashing down on you and hitting your square in the face with a stone brick.

“Good.” He smiles playfully, almost making you forget your purpose.

I’m a firm believer in the fact that we need more smut in this fandom. I’m also a firm believer that we need more Elorcan. So I decided to help remedy both of those little issues with my first ever attempt at smut.

KAI PARKER X READER

DESIRE

gets a lil’ steamy at the end ;)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

She sat in the middle of the Salvatore living room, a warm log fire crackling behind her and sending up flickering orange embers. She was in the middle of the lounge, legs folded over the plush carpet, head bent down in concentration, a thin layer of sweat gathering across her brow. She wore old and ripped black skinnes with a plain white tee, her hair tied up in a messy knot atop her head, strands sticking out here and there. A series of curse words tumbled off her pouted lips, her eyes fluttering open as she growled and grabbed the unlit candle in front of her before promptly sending it flying across the room and smashing into the wall. She breathed in the warm and woody scent of the open room, coming to her feet and narrowing her eyes as they landed on a concerned looking vampire.

“What do you want?” she snapped at Damon before blowing a piece of hair from her eyes.

His dark hair was messy, smoldering eyes avoiding hers, glass of bourbon in hand, as usual.

He pursed his lips, fingers fidgeting, obviously nervous as he responded, “I know you’ve been having some trouble getting your magic to work…”

“And?” she stood her ground, toes sinking into the fluffy carpet.

“I know I can’t really do anything to help you,” he started.

Her brilliantly bright eyes narrowed, and she bit at the inside of her cheek with worry, “you didn’t.”

“He can help you.”

Her heart dropped in her chest, anger flaring as she took three strides forward with her eyes locked on his shameful expression. Suddenly, the glass in Damon’s hand exploded, sending shards everywhere, and liquid pouring across his front. It sliced red into his skin, which healed itself at once, but didn’t wipe that shocked look off his face.

“You still want to tell me you have everything under control?” he growled under his breath.

She turned her back to him, eyes closing as she took in a deep breath, instant guilt settling in, hands running agitatedly through her hair.

“Look, Damon, I’m sor-” she turned back, eyes coming open and landing on someone who was most certainly not a Salvatore.

“Hey, princess.”

Kai was bent against the wooden door frame, arms folded across his chest, blue eyes drinking her up with a flick of his tongue against his rounded lips. He wore a dark tee with a bluish grey flannel, and it matched those eyes, she thought. His hair was perfectly smoothed up, eyebrows raised as a familiar smug expression settled across his infuriatingly perfect features.

“Kai,” she growled.

“Don’t sound so happy to see me,” he said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.

“I’m not,” she insisted.

His eyes narrowed, and he smiled to himself, “mhm, sure.”

“I have this under control,” she said, eyes pulling away from his.

“Say it one more time, and you might actually believe yourself,” he chuckled with a couple steps forward.

She clenched her jaw, and it pulsated lightly as she did her best to keep grounded.

“Aw, did I make you mad?” he said, picking up on this as well as the flare of her cute little nostrils.

“Leave,” she breathed, refusing to look at him.

“No,” he responded, coming closer to her, only a few steps away now.

“LEAVE,” she demanded, the fire in the grate flaring up to twice it’s size as she said it, her anger flooding into her magic without ease.

Suddenly his hands were on hers, fingers locking gently around her wrists, the familiar buzz of magic from his skin sending electrical currents into hers. As he held her, he worked her through the rush, and the fire slowly sunk down, resuming it’s natural glow and flicker after only a second. She took in a raspy breath, eyes opening again to meet Kai’s, her body going into overdrive from the close contact.

“I’m sorry,” she said again, gulping down the lump in her throat.

His lips twitched lightly before splitting into his familiar and goofy grin, “your emotions,” he smiled, dimples lighting his cheeks.

“What about them?” she asked, aware that his hands were still resting against her flesh.

“They’re all over the place,” he said. “That’s why your magic has been all over the place. Your emotions make you have this lack of focus that either results in you doing too little or doing too much.”

“Oh,” she said with disbelief.

He shook his head and dropped her wrists with a chuckle, “you can’t stand when I’m right.”

Kai waved his hands, and the broken candle reformed and zoomed back into place on the carpet, still flameless. The girl sunk onto her knees to sit on the carpet, and Kai towered over her and walked circles around her like predator after prey.

“Light it,” he commanded.

She shot a glare up at the heretic, who only winked in response. Sighing with exasperation, she focused back on the candle, mind buzzing as she urged a flame to appear, feeling more hopeless by the second when it remained stagnant. She bit her tongue, trying again and taking a sharp breath in when absolutely nothing happened.

“That’s what I thought,” Kai said, stooping down to her level.

“Going to mock me?” she hissed.

“No,” he blinked in surprise, sounding genuinely honest.

She didn’t say anything, she only pursed her lips and gave a small nod.

“Relax,” he encouraged softly, “don’t work yourself so hard.”

Kai trailed a finger in the air, and as he did so her hair came undone and went spilling in loose waves across her shoulders. Then he traced a little swirling motion with his slender fingers, which caused her shoulders to settle and body to ease into relaxation. The pressure on her chest seemed to lift, the heat inside of her dissipating. He nodded, approving of his work and smiling at her adorable and confused expression.

“Good,” he said, moving around to come behind her.

Kai got on his knees behind her, the tiniest of gaps between their bodies as he sunk into her back, hands wrapping around her body from behind and sliding up her arms, cool silver rings grazing her skin as his fingertips drew gently to her palms.

“Close your eyes,” he breathed soothingly, “and try again.”

So she did. Her eyes closed, fingers separating as she took in a deep breath. But as she did so, Kai’s overpowering scent entered her lungs, and her mind instantly went into a haze as she drowned in the smell of pine trees and dark spices. His soft flannel wrapped around her as he did, and she couldn’t help but find herself wanting to bury her face into the cozy fabric that pressed into her. Worst of all was that feeling of his chest pressing hard into her back, his heart thumping softly as his breath came trickling across her skin.

“Y/N?” he asked, giving her wrists a gentle squeeze. “What’s wrong?”

She tried with all her might to ignore Kai and get the flame to spark, but it wouldn’t budge.

“I’m having trouble…focusing,” she mumbled under her breath, eyes closing as she gave another attempt.

She could almost hear the smirk in his voice when he responded, “why’s that?”

She tried to formulate a clever response, but was met with nothing, so chose to ignore him. She shook her head, eyes narrowing as she embraced Kai’s closeness rather than getting distracted by it, and just like that-

“Impressive,” he smiled.

A flame burst to life, flickering gold and red and dancing side to side.

She let out a happy little giggle, “it worked!”

“See? Your emotions,” Kai persisted.

“Or I just figured it out,” she said to the candle, fully aware that Kai was still wrapped around her.

“Magic is driven by emotion, little witch,” he purred softly into her ear, “and if you don’t believe it when I say it, maybe you will when you feel it.”

Kai’s voice had dropped low, and her eyes latched to his momentarily, her head turning to the side as his eyes darkened. The heretic pushed his hands further down, so that his fingers now came lacing through her own, his magnificent blue eyes darting between her own eyes and lips. He bent in closer, force fully pressed into her backside as he breathed across her skin.

“It can be driven by joy, anger, sadness, and even…” he trailed off.

She swallowed the lump in her throat, heart hammering as he dipped his lips inwards.

“Desire,” he finished.

He let her make the decision, which she didn’t think for two seconds about before delving into his lips. Her mouth came crashing against his, a new wildfire starting, but this one inside of her body. Kai squeezed her hands as he rocked his hips lightly into her backside, earning a soft noise of approval from her. He liked the sound a lot, he wanted to hear it again, he thought. Their lips worked in sync, fast and hungry, but this position not being enough for her, she flipped the heretic onto his back and climbed over his chest, straddling him as she shook her hair back and brought her hands sliding across his chest. His hands went flying up, cold rings to her flesh as he went about seizing her head and forcing her back down to his lips, her own hands finding their way into his brown locks. Each brush of their flesh sent a wave of ecstasy like magic into each other’s bloodstream, the need to taste and feel it all rising in their chests. She rolled her hips softly against him, causing Kai’s mouth to fall open, at which point her tongue found it’s way into his mouth. Kai growled with hunger, mouths refusing to part as they both kissed until they had no breath left, each waiting to see if they could hold out longer than the other. His hands went sliding around her thighs and squeezing them roughly, about to hook into them when the two were suddenly aware of a burning sensation. A huge ring of fire had erupted from the candle alone, the magic bursting out from her because of her hunger and lust being all over the place, and it now swarmed their bodies, engulfing the carpet and crawling closer. The girl cursed, having no idea what to do as she stared at the fire with panic, but then she felt Kai’s slender fingers trail across her cheek, and she looked back down at him. He signalled to take a deep breath with him, so she did, closing her eyes and focusing on him, opening them soon after to a fire-less room. Kai blinked up at her with admiration, a proud smirk forming on his lips, blue eyes crinkling with knowing.

Flowers - Alfie Solomons

Can I ask for an Alfie imagine? His wife is his total oposite, sweet, calm and hes totally whipped. Im just a sucker for romantic Alfie😍

———————————————————————-

“Mornin’ Ollie!” I call as I walk into the ‘bakery’.

“Mornin’ Mrs Solomons,” he mumbles before turning back to whatever he was doing.

It’s always the same when I walk in, a mumbled greeting and then complete avoidance of eye contact. I don’t take it personally because I know Alfie’s threatened each and every one of these men, individually, about making eyes at me, but I still always make the effort to know them all and engage in friendly conversation.

“How are you feeling now Ollie?”

“Umm, not too bad I suppose,” he replies, keeping his eyes on the book in front of him.

“Honestly? Because if you need some time to rest up you can-”

“No! Alfie would kill me, he needs me here.”

I’ve learnt over the years not to argue with Ollie when it comes to Alfie; his loyalty will always prevail over common sense.

“Well, I know a doctor who’ll see you out of hours. Want me to give him a call?”

His lack of objection says enough.

I place a gentle hand on his arm. “Take it easy though, yeah? You don’t need to go at 100% all the time.”

He nods and mumbles his thanks before rushing off clutching his books and papers to his chest.

I carry on towards Alfie’s office, greeting the men I pass on the way.

for @alrightpotter who didn’t expect this but got it anyway

“Objection! The witness just perjured himself.”

Lily wanted to hit him so badly she physically had to hold herself back from doing so. “Judge, the witness is stating his name, I don’t understand how that is willingly perpetrating a lie in this court.”

Potter, already standing, smirked at the jury like they were his friends. A majority smiled back. “It says on the witness statement here” at this he waved the bit of paper at the jury, like they already didn’t have a copy, “that the witnesses name is ‘Peter Adam Pettigrew’ and not ‘Peter Pettigrew’ like the witness just claimed. Presumably the witness knows his own name, and this is clear grounds for expulsion.”

“Judge he clearly misspoke-“

“Oh so now you’re assuming on behalf of the witness, forgive me, Miss Evans but I thought you were representing the crown and not Mr Pettigrew’s interests-“

“The job of a lawyer is to respond to objections Mr Potter, and you’d know that if you ever paid attention-“

“Objection!” Potter called again, pointing at her like a child, “Miss Evans just questioned my credentials-“

Lily gripped the pen she was holding so hard she snapped it. “Oh, I’m sorry, did I miss the part where I questioned you were a lawyer? Was I not present in the event of that coming out of my actual mout-“

“Counselors!” Lupin didn’t even bang his gavel, “Mr Potter will you please sit down, it is not necessary for you to stand up every time you say something. Miss Evans, would you care to face your witness? The court does not have this sort of time for you two to dispute over every point. Mr Potter your objection is overruled.

Potter collapsed back into his chair, still staring at her, eyebrows slightly raised. Next to him Black, leaning on the back legs of his chair and with a wonky tie, was grinning, as if he wasn’t on trial for embezzlement and fraud and god knows what else. Potter was still staring at her like a dare, like he was waiting to go in again, and she wanted to hit something.

She turned back around. “Mr Pettigrew if you could state your age for the court.”

“Uh.” Pettigrew was sweating, face glossy, and leaned in to close to the microphone. “twenty-one.”

“Objection! The witness is actually twenty-one and seventy-two days and has failed to make this clear to the court.”

Lily felt all blood rush to her head, because it was month three of this bullshit, and it was to fucking hot, and there was ink on her pants, and he was so clearly trying to put on a show to entertain the jury, and it was so clearly working. “How would anyone be expected to know-“

“I know my exact age is twenty-three years and one hundred and eleven days so it’s not my fault Miss Evans that you don’t keep up to date with your personal-“

“Not all of us have so much time on our hands Potter you fucking assh-

“Oh I make time so don’t blame me-“

“Fucking God you’re being ridicul-“

“Mr Potter! Miss Evans!” and suddenly, Lily was aware of Lupin yelling, and that Potter had gotten up from his desk, and they were inches from each other, and that the jury had seen all of it. Good god, he was close, she could see each of his eyelashes. There was a slight scar across his left cheekbone.

“This is a courtroom!” dimly, Lupin was yelling, but it was as if she was hearing it underwater, and she was looking at Potter, and he was looking at her, and she fucking hated him. He knew exactly how old Pettigrew was down to the day. Probably because he knew Pettigrew’s birthday. He probably knew a lot of things about Pettigrew she didn’t. That’s what comes with being best mates with someone since you were eleven.

Sirius didn’t do it you know. He’d said that day in the woman’s bathroom, and she’d jumped and sworn and flicked sink water at him. He really didn’t. He’s being framed.

He’s your client. She’d said, washing her hands and looking at him though the mirror, that’s what you’re supposed to say.

Trust me, if Sirius wanted to commit embezzlement he wouldn’t get caught. He’d responded, leaning against the door, hair just touching the frame, arms folded.

He’s your best friend. She’d said, simply, You’re defending him pro-bono. You’re supposed to think he’s innocent.

She was thinking of how he’d said nothing, how she’d turned around and he was gone, like a dream or a ghost. Later, when he never mentioned it in court or the halls or the office where they both argued about who could use the printer, she wondered if she dreamt it. Him, the bathroom, how he’d looked at her. Almost sadly. Like he knew something she didn’t. Like he wished she knew it to.

And now of course, standing there, getting a lecture on court behavior from an exasperated Lupin, she couldn’t help but look at him again. Thinking of Black’s wonky tie and Pettigrew sweating buckets on the stand and the five-thousand dollar suit he was wearing, despite claiming to be on benefits.

Lupin was still tlking anf-for once- Potter was completely silent. Lily couldn’t stop thinking about any of it, the case, the shady camera footage, how Pettigrew said his story the same way every time like he practiced it. And oh God, Potter’s face when he’d said He didn’t do it, you know. Like he really did know. Like he had never known anything so certainly in his life. And Oh God, it was times like this, and at four in the morning when she was lying awake, where she believed him. It was times like this when she was almost sure that she was making a terrible, terrible mistake.

Love your winterironwidow AUs, they give me life! But most are winterwidow to winterironwidow, how about we change it up a bit: Tony and Nat are working together (and being together) as a sort of "anything-for-hire" - they will steal, spy, assassinate and protect, whatever is needed, for money. And they are VERY good at what they do, what with Nat's infiltrating sneaky spy skills combined with Tony's computer/gadget skills and brains (and they are both excellent at acting). (1/2)

(2/2) Then one mission Tony’s cover has been blown and he has to disappear into the crowd. He spies a guy sitting alone in a café and sits down next to him asking him to hide him because some guys have been following him all day. Bucky, always the gentleman, does exactly that, and they proceed to have a wonderful first date which doubles as a job interview because turns out the former special forces sniper is currently unemployed, and has just the right skill set to compliment the other two.

“Tony,” Natasha says slowly, eyeing up the good-looking young man currently standing half-naked in their bedroom. “What did I say about cheating on me?”

“Not to, or you’d slit the bitch’s throat right in front of me and make me watch them die, then drown me in their blood,” Tony cheerfully replies, sauntering out of the walk-in closet he’d insisted every safe house would have to contain, while the stranger spluttered. “He’s got great abs though.”

“I can see that,” Natasha states drily because he really does. Dead-Hottie-Walking–and damn it, Tony’s ridiculous nickname habits are starting to rub off on her despite her best efforts–has earned the name. He’s also pulling himself together remarkable fast, refuses to break eye-contact with her despite the light blush that refuses to die down.

Natasha always respects a man who refuses to cower in front of her but is still smart enough to realise he’s in trouble.

“He’s also a sniper,” Tony adds, as though that is supposed to make her feel any better, and throws the guy a shirt he catches without looking.

Oddly enough it does make her feel better.

“Really?” she drawls, attention still fully focused on the unknown threat. “And how did you come to lose your shirt?”

Dead-Hottie-Walking’s mouth sets into a tight line, before he visibly forces himself to relax, shrugs. “It got blood on it,” he answers, no inflection whatsoever. And yes, she can see why Tony likes him.

Damn it.

“So,” she leans against the door frame, folding her arms in front of her chest in a mock-show of patience. “Are you going to tell me why you’ve invited a virtual stranger in our,” secret “bedroom or should I go get my knives and get the answers myself?”

“Kinky,” Dead-Hottie-Walking mutters not quite under his breath. Definitely see why Tony likes him.

“It totally wasn’t my fault!” her loveable, genius, idiot of a boyfriend blurts out, hands flailing. “I was just doing my job, there was absolutely no way I could’ve foreseen-!”

Natasha suppresses a sign.

So this is going to be one of those days.

I adore this. I love the twist of Tony/Nat being a thing before Bucky joins them!!! (He totally will, it’s just gonna take some time, for one Nat will have to stop calling him Dead-Hottie-Walking at some point) I hope you like the silliness I came up with :)

So I noticed this a day or so ago and I wanted to watch the rest of season 3 before I brought it up but now that I’m sure and I wanna know if anyone else noticed this

cause most of the show is animated about the same but then the end of season two particularly had some great nuggets and I love them but the rest of the show is pretty uniform in the animation (almost like Flash animation but not) style but then like this

Looks like a disney movie or something. Like yo do a whole episode like that it’d be beautiful

When they first fell in love, it was on a warm summer day. She sat on the hood of his car, appareled in shorts and a light blue tank top which complimented her curves. Jimin had watched as perspiration glossed her skin, noticeable droplets trailing down her neck and met in the slight dip that was her collarbones. She gazed off into the distance and rested her chin on an elevated knee, scraped and bruised. He had wanted to inquire if she had gotten in another fight, but there was an intentional conversation about the philosophy of love instead.

Hi! Do you think you could do a second part to where the reader is a new recruit?? Like my heart can't take it !! Thanks cutie💖

((A/N - well thank YOU, cutie.))

“That was intense.”

You were currently sprawled out on the floor in the training room, waiting for the rest of the recruits to leave before you attempted to stand up. You nodded, your response muffled from your head being buried in a towel that was trying to soak up all of your sweat. Your legs were jelly and your arms burned. You had no energy to speak, let alone trying to get back to your room. Your friend whipped the towel off, your eyes squinting trying to adjust to the light.

“Drink.”

You opened your mouth, your friend dribbling in water from their bottle. You choked slightly, trying not to laugh at your situation.

“Get up, (Y/N).”

You held your hand up, it being gripped by Gabriel for him to hoist you up. Your legs failed you, and you would have fallen back onto the lino covered floor had he not caught you in his arms. Your cheeks tinged pink as you felt the vibrations of his chuckle from his toned chest. Sweat was leaking through his tight fitting vest top, only imagining what it looked like underneath.

“You seem a bit.. broken.”

You glared up at your commander.

“Absolutely not, it was just-”
“Intense?”

You rolled your eyes, regaining your balance. You steadied yourself by placing a hand against his now folded arms, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear.

“Take them back to their room, please. I don’t think they can walk without support.” Gabriel chuckled to your friend.

They hooked an arm around your waist, your arm being flung over their shoulder.

“Same time tomorrow, cariño.” He winked at you.

You frowned at the pet name. What did it mean?

The walk back to your shared room was a struggle. You flumped yourself onto your bed as soon as you could, your entire body screaming with pain.

“He so likes you.”
“Not allowed favouritism.”
“And? I’d kill to be called Spanish pet names.”
“What about Jack?”
“What about him?”

You turned to face your friend, lying on your side and head propped up with your hand, a shit-eating grin spreading across your face.

“Does he not sweeten you up with pet names?”
Honey, he doesn’t need to. I have him right where I want him.”

Your eyebrows raised, smile spreading. A knock on the door brought you from your conversation. You leant over to check the time on your phone while your friend opened the door.

“Is (Y/N) here?”
“Where else would they be, sir?” Amusement laced their voice, giving you time to sit up on the bed to try and see who it was. The door widened and you tried to stand when you saw the swish of royal blue.

“Sir. I-”
“Please sit, (Y/N). Gabriel told me about your training session and was a tad concerned. Do you need to see Angela?”
“No, thank you, Strike-Commander Morrison. I’m not used to the training but it will come in due course.”

Jack nodded, his baby-blues flitting over to your friend. A smile twitched on his lips and the rosiness on his cheeks became more defined.

“Very well. That is all.”

He gracefully left your shared room, your friend quietly clicking the door closed.

“He only came here to see you.” You raised an eyebrow.
“I know. He gave me a note.”
“A note? Let me see.”
Absolutely not.”

You pursed your lips your hands behind you leaning on the bed, closely watching their face as they read the note.

“Oh.. my God.”

You leant forwards and made grabby hands towards them. Their eyes widened, the back of their hand dramatically coming up to their forehead.

“He wants.. to.. meet for lunch.”

You burst out into laughter.

“I thought it would have been a love letter or a poem. Is that all it says?”

They handed you the note and your eyes skimmed over the scrawl.

Tomorrow. 1300. Café on Broad Street. J x

“Wow. Blunt.”

You handed the note back, throwing your legs up onto the bed and throwing your arm over your eyes.

“He’s romantic.”
“Tch. Whatever you say, love. Wake me up before dinner?”
“Yeah alright, lazy.”

You were shaken awake by hands on your shoulders, eyes snapping open.

“You weren’t waking up.”
“Well I’m awake now.”
“Gabriel wants you.”
“That’s a bit forward.”
“He’s at the door, idiot.”

You scrambled to sit up, combing your fingers through your hair in a vain attempt to look presentable. You managed to stumble over to the door, hanging on the handle so your overworked legs wouldn’t collapse. You took in a deep breath and pulled the door open.

He was leaning on the frame, arms folded and inspecting his fingernails. He was still wearing that damn fitted tank top, clinging to his chiselled chest. Sweat glistened on his defined arms and his dark locks hidden by the woollen beanie.

“Ah. (Y/N).” He lifted his head, eyes narrowed and a smirk dancing across his lips.
“Sir.” You nodded.
“I have a proposition.”

Your brows furrowed, pulling the door to slightly so your friend wouldn’t overhear.

“How would you feel about joining Blackwatch?”

You physically faultered, shock clearly expressed on your face. He chuckled.

“Why- er. Why me?”
“I need someone on my team and I think you would fit nicely. Hardworking. Always pushing yourself to your limits.”

His gazed intensely at you, unrelenting.

“I erm-”
“Think about it. In the meantime, clean up. You’re joining me in my office at 1900 hours.”
“But that’s when din-”
“Dinner starts? Yeah. I know.”

He winked and confidently turned back down the hall towards the main area of the building. You let out a breath you hadn’t realised you’d been holding.

Dinner. With Gabriel. The commander of Blackwatch. Not wanting to one-up your friend, you told them you weren’t feeling well and went to go have a shower. You hoped the scalding water would clear the mist from your thoughts and relieve the aches in your over-used muscles. Once washed, you span the knob round to shut off the water and grabbed a fluffy towel. Patting your face dry you caught your eyes in the mirror. There was a sparkle there you has never noticed before, the corners of your lips turned up in a slight smile.

“(Y/N), I’m heading out to the hall. Do you want anything?”
“No thanks. See you later!”

When you heard the apartment room door close behind your friend, you set out about finding something reasonable to wear. You couldn’t go wrong with black jeans and a ‘nice top’. You span your body in the mirror, deeming your outfit presentable enough. Looking at your watch, you still had five minutes to make it to Gabriel’s office.

You checked both ways down the hallway to make sure it was clear before shutting the door behind you. It clicked shut, the noise echoing. You half jogged towards the offices, trying to untangle your hair with your fingers. You caught your reflection in a passing window, slightly surprised by how decent you actually looked.

You rapped your knuckles on the door to the commander’s office, taming your heavy breathing and pulling down the hem of your top.

“Come in.”

You pushed the door open, not entering when you saw two other figures standing in front of Gabe’s desk.

“There’s a draft. Please close the door.”

You stepped in and gingerly shut it, standing hesitantly by the door. Your hands held the other, fingers fidgeting, worried you’d walked into something you shouldn’t have.

“(Y/N). This is Jesse-” he nodded to the figure on your left. “And this is Genji.” He motioned towards the other. The two turned around, acknowledging you with a nod before turning back to face Gabriel.

“Come forward.”

Your feet moved of their own accord, reluctantly shuffling across the carpet until you were inbetween the two people infront of Gabriel’s desk.

“You lot are my elite team. Look after each other.”

You frowned. You hadn’t accept his proposition. The two nodded scarily in sync, before the one on the left piped up.

“Ain’t they a bit young?”
“No. They are perfectly skilled. Not that you could talk anyway, McCree. How old are you again?”

The last sentence was spoken with patronising malice from the man in front of you.

“You two are dismissed. (Y/N), stay.”

Your hands came up to hug the opposite elbow, your fingers twitching nervously. You heard shuffles of feet before a click- and then silence. Gabriel gestured for you to sit in the chair opposite him.

“Thank you for accepting.”
“I haven’t-”
“You came along when I said to. You listened to my orders.
"Yeah, because what I thought was free food has now turned into me somehow joining the black ops division of Overwatch.”
“You haven’t said no.”

Gabriel leaned forwards in his chair, hands clasped together and resting on desk. Your mouth opened, and then closed. He was right; you hadn’t said no.

“I want you close, (Y/N). You have potential and with a bit of sculpting you’ll be more than ready to become a fully-fledged Blackwatch agent. We need someone like you on our team. I need you.”

You adjusted your position in the chair at his words. Did he just admit that he liked you?

“I’ll get your uniform set up and ready for training in next week. In the mean time, keep quiet about it until we can announce it properly.”

You nodded.

“Use your words, cariño.”
“Yes, sir.”

A smirk appeared on his lips. He opened his mouth to retaliate before there was a knock on the door and it opened wide. Two silver trays covered with domes were carried by one of the kitchen staff and gently placed down on Gabriel’s desk. He nodded in thanks and waited until the porter had left and shut the door before talking.

“I look after my agents, (Y/N). I’d be surprised if you still wanted to stay as an Overwatch agent after this.”

He removed the dome on the tray closest to you to reveal a plate with a mouth-watering steak, juicy steamed vegetables and the softest mashed potato you had ever seen. You looked up at him, eyes narrowed. He wasn’t exactly being subtle with his bribes. You reached your hand towards the tray, only for him to brind the lid down suddenly and for you to retreat.

“You’ll join?”

Your eyes met his cinnamon gaze.

“I would be surprised if I stayed as an Overwatch agent after this.”

His chuckled rumbled throughout the room as he pushed the tray of food towards you.

This should be very interesting.

Ella was now 4 years old. She was the spunkiest kid out there. Well, maybe not. But Sebastian thought so. Ella and Sebastian were attached at the hip. She was the true definition of Daddy’s Girl. They were always together. Anywhere he’d go she’d follow. It’s just how they worked.

Tonight was Halloween night. You would be staying in due to the fact that you were pregnant with your second child and ready to give birth any day.

You finished braiding Ella’s hair and adding some flowers to it. She had decided to dress up as Rapunzel for Halloween. It took a lot of convincing from both you and Sebastian that she had to wear shoes to go and get candy.

“Ready to go?” Sebastian leaned against Ella’s door frame and folded his arms over his chest. He was all Flynn Ryder-ed out. Just for his little princess.

“Daddy!” Ella squealed. “You look exactly like Flynn!”

Love Triumphs Chapter Part 14: Flying In

Jared Padalecki x Reader

1100 Words

Story Summary:  AU (I love Gen, and love her with Jared.) Jared and Gen have split up, but are still friendly. You, the Reader have recently started acting on Supernatural, and have fallen in love with Jared. Both of you get hate due to the fact that you are much younger than he is.

Catch Up Here: Masterpost

Lounging in the backyard, the book sliding from your grasp as you nodded off, you didn’t hear Jared pull up, or the garage door open. As you sat there, just barely asleep, you didn’t notice the cushion dipping. But you did feel the brush of his hand against your cheek, and the lips that grazed your own.

“Mmm.” You mumbled, your eyes blinking open to stare up at Jared. “Is it already time for you to be home?”

With a deep chuckle he nodded. “I’m a little late actually. The last scene wouldn’t work. But I noticed you packed for me.”

The True Companion

Manufactured either in the US or in France/Belgium c.1869~1870′s - serial number 204.
.32 cap and ball twin-shot cylinder, single action with spur trigger, brass knuckle folding handle, brass frame, blued cylinder.

A very streamlined version of Louis Dolne’s more famous Apache pepperbox, without the useless folding blade and with a noticeably slimmer profile due to its reduced cylinder capacity. There’s no way to know if that gun was a copy or a production of Dolne himself, but the lack of name and the use of a caplock firing mechanism indicates it might have in fact been an American production.
