prog bands as things people have ordered from the frozen section of the online grocery delivery service i work at

  • Emerson, Lake & Palmer: one pint each of 15 different kinds of Ben & Jerry's ice cream
  • Van der Graaf Generator: 5 huge bags of raw shrimp and a container of frozen octopus

Rosa was tending to Horloz’s sleeping body, her touches gentle but her mind very far from there- and right there, at the same time. As she patiently tried to make the sleeping boy drink some soup, her mind wouldn’t stop replaying the last talks they’d had. About Raudra and getting rid of him, about Floyde’s role in the whole deal.

When she was done, she stood up and gave her son a soft kiss on the forehead, moving strands of his hair away from his face. And she went out quietly. Her choice was made.

She left the used bowl in the sink, and went back… but to Floyde’s room. And with a gentle knock, she went in.

“Good evening, Floyde.”
