Catherine Deneuve plays a private detective named Claude. Like many movies about private detectives, the plot isn’t the easiest one to follow, but at some point early on, Claude has an interaction with a woman named Flora who she clearly has a past with. And based on the way they’re looking at each other and the suggestive things they’re saying to each other, that past seems kind of gay. Later, when Claude finds the missing woman she’s searching for, she does the thing any private detective worth their salt would do when they find the missing woman they’re searching for: she kisses her. The gayest thing about Claude is that she has a large photo of Greta Garbo in Queen Christinaon her wall. The second gayest thing about Claude is that she kisses women.
