five over seven

I had heard about the role quite a while before I auditioned, and I emailed my agent that I have this really weird feeling; I really feel like I need to audition. Then months went by and the same people were reading for it. But I still really had this feeling of needing to read for it. So I emailed my agent again for an audition. I had four or five auditions over seven months, and it was a very emotional time. My first few auditions really didn’t feel good, but my last audition suddenly felt like something clicked. You’re so desperate to get a role, but I felt like even if I didn’t get it, I did a good job, I’d done myself proud.

Questions That I Need Answered

  • What is Marina’s last name. She was disguised as a human so she has to have a last name and I need to know it.
  • Which of the Garde/Loric Allies can sing. There’s a bunch of them, so like AT LEAST one or two of them have to be able to sing well.
  • DOES Adam have an emo haircut?
  • Will more human Garde be created or will it just be the ones that are already created?
  • Did some animals turn into chimæras? Like some humans turned into Garde
  • Do the Garde finish school after the war?
  • Does John live in a cave for the rest of his life?
  • Do any of the other Garde teach at the Academy at some point?
  • Does Adam ever leave the camp?
  • Lorics are supposed to live longer than humans (at least I’m pretty sure they are) so have the human Garde’s life spans been extended due to the Loric-ness in them
  • Were human teens the only ones that got legacies or were there just like 80 year old men in wheel chairs rolling down the streets, chucking fireballs at Mogs?
  • What is everyone’s favorite color?
  • What happened to Emily from the first book?

Zimbits Airport AU Part 2

read it on ao3 here | Part 1

They share earbuds for the rest of their time waiting to board— Bitty’s never been so grateful for his portable charger before. With some time and effort, he takes a page or so of notes on his Food Science reading, but he’s not actually convinced he’s absorbed any of it. His mind is too busy screaming because in a matter of minutes, Jack Zimmermann had met him, come out to him, listened to Beyonce with him, and asked him to come to a hockey game Saturday night. Bitty will be hard put to get any sleep on the flight if this keeps up.

He must have dozed off at some point, because Bitty knows he was just jotting down a couple more notes, but the next thing he knows, his notebook has slid off his lap onto the floor and Jack is tapping his shoulder. “Bitty? It’s almost time to board.”

“Oh, is it?” Bitty says once he’s had a chance to look around at his surroundings a bit more. The people on their flight seem to be the only ones left in the airport, spread out in the chairs or sprawled on the ground to take a nap. “I must have drifted off, sorry.”

And there’s that smile again, considerably wider and brighter than any he’s ever seen from Jack on TV. “It’s okay. But we’re boarding soon, so you might want to pack your things up?”

“Right.”

“What seat do you have?”

Bitty digs his boarding pass out of his backpack. “23C.”

“Oh,” Jack says, looking a bit put out. “I’m in business class.”

“You’d have to be to have enough room to stretch your legs out, now, wouldn’t you?” Bitty jokes, but he understands Jack’s tiny pout, which, by the way, is adorable— moving on. “Not all of us are over six feet tall.”

“No, I guess you aren’t.” Jack frowns for a moment as he thinks, then says, “Wait here” before getting up and going to the desk where the flight attendants are standing, looking as equally bored and tired as their passengers.

Bitty sincerely hopes he isn’t changing his seat to economy. He knows from his teammates (particularly Holster) that for most hockey players, himself excluded, cramming one’s legs into an economy seat is just not feasible for any flight longer than an hour or two. As much as he’d like to be able to sit by Jack during the flight, Jack has a game tomorrow. Surely he should know that’s a bad idea.

He packs up his things anyway, since there are only ten or so minutes until boarding, and watches as Jack discusses something with the flight attendant talking to him. They’re too far away for Bitty to hear a word they’re saying, but he sees the flight attendant nod and Jack smile. He comes back with a piece of paper in hand and offers it to Bitty.

“This is a boarding pass.”

Jack nods.

“With my name on it, and it says business class.”

Jack nods again.

“Jack Zimmermann, I hope you are not saying that you paid to upgrade my seat to business class. I can’t pay you back!”

“I asked them to transfer my frequent flier miles to your account,” Jack says. “There were enough for a free upgrade. Didn’t cost a cent.”

“I am flabbergasted.”

“Oh.” There it is again, the sad eyes that remind Bitty of a puppy and break his heart simultaneously. “I can take it back if you—”

“No, no, I wasn’t saying that,” Bitty says hurriedly. “But… it’s kind of a lot, isn’t it?”

“No, I always fly business class,” Jack says matter-of-factly. “I didn’t have a use for that upgrade anyway. And I wanted to keep talking to you.”

Good lord. Jack is blushing again and Bitty really is not sure he can handle it. What on earth is he supposed to say to that?

“Well, thank you very much, but I hope you don’t regret it,” Bitty’s mouth says of its own will. “I can get very chatty, which I don’t think is desirable for red-eye flights.”

Then he curses himself. That was definitely not the expression of gratitude he wanted to say.

“That’s okay,” Jack says. “I like hearing you talk.”

“You are going to be the death of me if you keep saying things like that, Mr. Zimmermann.”

“I fully intend to.”

The flight attendant calls for first class to board, and then business class and it’s time for them to go. Bitty holds out his new boarding pass to the flight attendant, who smiles at him and Jack and says “Enjoy the flight.”

“We will,” Jack says, and Bitty can’t keep himself from smiling.

I understand and accept that Gwyneth Paltrow could not be in Civil War.

I understand and accept that they needed to give Tony multiple personal reasons to want the Accords signed.

I do not accept that the writers took that to mean “Pepper’s gonna dump Tony to create man pain.”

She could’ve been sick. She could’ve been injured in an attack. She could’ve been pregnant. She and Tony could’ve had a fight.

There were so many in-character routes they could’ve taken to create Tony’s Pepper-centric motivation to sign the Accords.

Instead, they opted to unceremoniously end a relationship that was built up and shown to be very important in no less than five movies over seven years in the most out-of-character way possible.

And that is what I’m not ok with.

Hawaii Five-0 Shake-Up: Grace Park, Daniel Dae Kim Exit Ahead of Season 8
Alo-whaaaa? CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 is bidding adieu to not one but two original cast members
By Matt Webb Mitovich

CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 is bidding adieu to not one but two original cast members: Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim, neither of whom will be returning for Season 8, TVLine has learned.

Viewers will learn what became of Kono Kalakaua (who went “rogue” to chase sex traffickers in last month’s finale) and Chin Ho Kelly (recently wooed to head up a San Francisco Five-0 unit) in the Season 8 premiere, airing Friday, Sept. 29 at 9/8c.

Park and Kim’s departure comes as Five-0 enters the final season of Alex O’Loughlin’s current contract; McGarrett’s portrayer hinted last fall that Season 8 will be his last. To help fill the anticipated void, as TVLine previously reported, casting is underway for the new series regular role of Tani, a lifeguard who until recently was a top police academy candidate until she got kicked out, and who will find her way onto McGarrett’s team.

“I will never forget meeting Daniel while still writing the pilot and being certain there was no other actor who I’d want to play Chin Ho Kelly,” shworunner Peter M. Lenkov said in a statement. “Needless to say, Daniel has been an instrumental part of the success of Hawaii Five-0 over the past seven seasons and it has personally been a privilege to know him.

“Grace’s presence gave Hawaii Five-0 a beauty and serenity to each episode,” the EP continued. “She was the consummate collaborator, helping build her character from Day 1. They will always be ohana to us, we will miss them and we wish them both all the best.”

CBS issued a statement that read, “We are so appreciative of Daniel and Grace’s enormous talents, professional excellence and the aloha spirit they brought to each and every one of our 168 episodes. They’ve helped us build an exciting new Hawaii Five-0, and we wish them all the best and much success in their next chapters. Mahalo and a hui hou….”

AN: Like I said - part one (and the smaller part) of this two-shot for Mari’s birthday. Probably going to finish this tomorrow.
Also, no beta - there might be some mistakes.

Pairing: KanaMari (Were you really expecting anything else?)

„Mari.“

Mari wakes up to someone gently calling her name and poking her cheek. But she isn’t ready to leave dreamland just yet, so Mari turns around, dragging the sheets with her to hide under them.

“Come on, Mari.” The person giggles. Mari feels a tug on her blanket. Gripping it tight, Mari tries to fight off the attack. But once her ‘opponent’ decides to play unfair by tickling her, she has no chance of winning.

“No! St- Stop it!” She rolls over onto her back to escape. The second she feels the mattress dip though, she knows that that strategy is bound to be a failure. “Kanan!”

The tickling stops and two strong hands wrap around her wrists, effectively pinning her down and holding her in place.

“Kanan, please!”

Mari is still laughing but stops when a pair of lips touch hers ever so gently. But as sudden as the kiss happened it ends again.

Opening her eyes, Mari is met with the most beautiful purple eyes she can imagine, looking down at her with so much love that she thinks she might still be dreaming. The shy smile that accompanies them makes the picture even more perfect and for a second Mari forgets how to breathe.

It Was Then That You Carried Me

*Request fill.  I struggled with an idea for this, but I hope you like it.  Thanks for the ask!

Janessa casually looked around the park, enjoying the sunshine and brisk spring weather.  She slipped her hand into John’s and gave it a little squeeze.  “Isn’t today beautiful?”  He looked down at her and smiled.  “Almost as beautiful as you.”  They continued walking, laughing and talking only as lovers can.  They rounded a corner, and Janessa immediately stopped.  “Something wrong?” asked John, looking at her.  Only then did he comprehend the reality that something was, indeed, incredibly wrong… her eyes were shut tight and her breath came in gasps.

“Ness, what’s the matter?”  His tone was urgent, but no response.  John glanced around the path for clues, and it quickly became clear.  A man was walking past them, dressed in an orange tee shirt, plain shorts, and a baseball cap.  He was extremely overweight.  All in all, pretty normal - if Janessa hadn’t been touched inappropriately as a young girl by a man who looked just like that.  John scooped her up and quickly retreated to a nearby bench.  “Janessa.  It’s okay.  It’s over.  He won’t hurt you.  He’s gone.”

Her tears spilled onto his shirt as she sobbed in gasps.  John cradled her, holding her body close to his as she shuddered repeatedly, shaking from the force of her broken breaths.  His fingers met her wrist, and beneath them he felt her pulse throbbing violently as her heart worked hard to move oxygen around her trembling form.  “Baby, breathe… breathe with me.”  He took an exaggerated breath, overfilling his lungs so that she could feel it, before he exhaled slowly.

He repeated the action again and again, until he could feel Janessa matching him with her breath.  “There you go.  Keep going.  Slow.”  He checked her pulse again.  Slightly calmer, but not where he wanted it.  She wasn’t sobbing anymore, but the tears were still coming. “Talk to me baby.  We’re in the park, you’re okay.  Tell me two things you can hear.”  Her voice quivered, but she made the effort. “Birds.”  “Good, that’s one.  What’s another?” John asked gently, holding her a little tighter.

“Your… your heartbeat.”  “That’s a good thing to hear.  Let’s focus on that.  Can you tell me what it sounds like?”  “Like… like a hard.. tapping.”  “Mhm, anything else?  Is it fast, or slow, or loud?”  “It’s loud.  And a little fast.”  “Maybe we should count it?  Can you count it?”  She pressed her head deeper into his chest, and laid her hand against it as well, in front of her face.  She began tapping him, in time with his own heart rate.  He counted for her, out loud.  “One… two… three… four… you count now.”  She took over.  “Five… six… seven… eight…”  He reached up to her other wrist and checked her pulse a third time.  It had slowed considerably now.  In fact, it very nearly matched his own.  He kissed her head.

“Fifty.”  She looked up at him, cheeks glistening.  “Are you okay now?” he asked, releasing her wrist.  She nodded her head slightly before leaning into him again.  “Your heart is nice.  It helps a lot.”  John hugged her.  “You can listen to it as long as you want to, babe.”  “I wish I could just let it go,” she whispered, just loud enough for him to hear.  “I know, Nessa… me too.  But I promise I’ll always be here to keep you safe.  And if listening to my heart is what helps you calm down, I’ll find a way to record it for you so you’ll always have it.”  She nestled in even closer.  “Promise?”  He kissed her again.  “I promise.”

Can you do a scenario with Jackson where he get's jealous? I love your blog :3

Jealousy? ~Jackson~ ♥

“How long is it going to take?” Jackson asked for what seemed like the billionth time. The two of you were having a study session, but Jackson had begged and pleaded to order some pizza twenty minutes in. Now, he wouldn’t stop questioning the arrival of the pizza.

“Asking about it every ten seconds won’t make it show up faster,” you said.
“I know, but a man can only dream.” Jackson tossed his algebra textbook to the side and nodded at you. “Hey, didn’t you say your family is close with the employees at the pizza place? Does that mean you get discounts?”

“Why, are you being cheap?” You smirked and playfully hit him.

Shipping Patterns of Derek Hale in the Teen Wolf Fandom

Ok, so I offered dallisons some hard numbers on Derek ships since I had a lot of this data on hand from the investigation that amorremanet and I did for twrarepairexchange.

These stats are based on the following factors:

  • Number of fics on AO3
  • Number of fics on AO3 when Sterek is excluded (some ships obviously can’t provide numbers for this, this stat is provided as a clearer guide of the number of fics actually available for a ship, given that most fics with the Sterek tag are Sterek with other ships in the background, non Sterek numbers are found using a filter of ’-“Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski”’).
  • Activity in the tumblr tags (based on how long it takes the tag to hit ten new posts)
  • Requests and Fills for the last round of twrarepairexchange and activity in last years rarepairnovember. (No data for Sterek in these cases as it was excluded).
