Shameless 03

Words: 6238

Summary:  You leave the party soon after Bucky, meeting him at his apartment for more fooling around.

(Sorry, that’s all I feel comfortable giving away).

Also, sorry it’s so long. I was being a very wordy bitch and couldn’t bring myself to make this any shorter.

There will be another chapter to this!  Maybe two, if my outline holds up as I continue to write!

For the first time, you were able to see him in a new light. Now, you were able to look back at all the times that you two had been together and see it for all it actually was. There were no emotions there, there was no respect, and there was no special caring.  He had used the love you felt for him to his own advantage, taking everything he ever needed from you, and spewed just enough beautiful words your way to have you hanging on for more.  He had let you believe that you meant something to him.

Now, standing here in the light of your epiphany, you only felt dirty.  You felt dirty, and cheap, and used.

And for the very first time in your life, you felt ashamed.

You weren’t sure what to do with yourself now.  Your heart had gone from stopping mid-beat to thumping double-time, pumping madly in your chest.  It nearly felt that it would explode through your ribcage any second.  You struggled to maintain your breathing, but you managed somehow, despite the sharp, stabbing sensation that felt like knives were embedded in your chest.  With every slow inhale, you could almost feel daggers digging themselves deeper and deeper.

Whatever was left of your heart; no, it was your entire world, now lay crumbled; no, decimated, at Bucky’s feet.  And he didn’t even notice.  You watched him, in shock, as he shot you another cocky smirk as he made himself decent again.  He was completely oblivious to the fact that your entire universe was in flames, burning everything to the ground.  He couldn’t see that your sense of gravity, everything that had tied you to this world, was shifting and sucking the light and air out of your body.  Everything you’d ever known was transforming into something darker, something colder, something harder.

So how about a sci-fi setting where personal AIs are commonplace, like a more advanced Siri? They could keep track or your schedule, your social media, etc.

But let’s assume some autotune style programs have advanced as well. So the AI can find music, and alter or edit it so it fits your mood, or matches your movements, increasing tempo as you move faster, slowing as you rest. And the AIs can sync with each other when two people interact, to harmonise and produce a better sound.

Mostly what I’m driving at is I want a sci-fi setting where you can have your own background music.

nonnie requested: Can you do the second before last pulled point in eye color with Barry please???

  • You will be able to see the world in full color once you meet your soulmate but until then, you can only see the world in the eye color of your soulmate. However, you can alter the color your soulmate can see, for example, by wearing contact lenses. Like if you wear blue contact lenses, your soulmate sees the world in blue, purple makes them see the world in purple and etc. And you realize each day/week you get to see the world in a different color because your soulmate is being all cute and would want you to see every color there is and they probably have a huge collection of contact lenses by the time you both meet.

A/N: Here is the first soulmate request that I chose randomly to start with. Now I may not get all your requests done by the weekend but I’ll try my best to get at least 2-3 including this one done before then. Thank you for requesting since I was kind of stuck on what else to write on. And Barry is the one whom shows you all the colors until you meet because let’s be honest, he’s that big of a dork and we love it. Warning of OFC death and will stuff. Requests are open unless stated otherwise by me.

You remember when you were a kid that you saw green with flecks of brown, apparently those were your soulmate colored eyes. It was a nice green and your parents thought it was like your soulmate had summer green that was full of life and bright. But as you grew older, your eye sight suddenly would change color. One day you woke up to see a gorgeous stale blue in your eyesight and remembered that you could alter colors by contacts. You weren’t one for going in the trouble to wear but it seemed your soulmate did. For the next few years, you had seen many colors that ranged from flecks of orange to a dark indigo that changed every few weeks. It seemed so sweet of your soulmate to show you all the colors that the world may have to offer you but there was only so much contacts.

Today was a gray tone with small flecks of a bright blue and it seemed to be fitting to your mood. You had flown in from your state to Central City where your great aunt, Opal died, sure you didn’t know her very well but she seemed to left you something in her will so you decided to stay. Not yet meeting your soulmate made you more upset, you wished you had their shoulder to cry on. You put on your black dress that your mother helped picked out with you and shoes. You weeped while the preacher spoke, you couldn’t help it as you always hated death. It was such a cruel but harsh reality that it happens when you might least expect it.

You had inherited her home and money apparently, it seemed your mother was the only one whom really had contact with your great aunt. And Opal thought it be best for you to have her home since your mother did live in Central City as a girl but in Opal’s will stated that you need the home to raise your family. That made you laugh a little as your father wanted some grandkids and once you meet your soulmate that is. You hoped that they would want kids, you always had dreamed of getting married and having child(ren) of your own. And that you managed to get your things over to your new home and completely new city.

Nevertheless your eyes changed color again to a new color you have never seen before, a shade of F/C as you walked into Jitters until you bumped into someone. “Oh! Sorry!” You says as the burnet, wait did you just see brown hair? This meant you saw colors as the other glanced at you with F/C contacts in his eyes as he stared in shock for a moment. Soon his colors were seen too and smiled at you, “No i-it’s okay. Really uh, hi I’m Barry. Barry Allen.” He offered his hand to yours as you shook it, “Y/N. Y/N L/N. It’s nice to finally meet you.”

You smiled softly at him as he gave a dorky grin back at, he was finally happy to have you in his life. His other half and he laughed softly while you furrowed your eyebrows. “You know Y/N. I have probably the biggest collection of eye contacts.” You nodded, “I’d assumed since I saw so many colors. I just wonder how much exactly.” Barry shook his head, “One too many. Joe shook his head and said it was a waste of time and money. But come on I’ll show you them if you’d want.” You agreed as you went with Barry and was rather surprised by so many in the case while he took of F/C contacts out.

As you looked to see the summer green with brown flecks like your parents had told you about while he looked into your E/C. “I think you have the most beautiful eyes Y/N. .”

Warnings: none i don’t think!! A little fluff at the end!

“I’ll see you later, mom. I’m going to be late for work!” You secured your bag straps and walked toward the elevator, grabbing your keys on the way. You heard your mom shout out a ‘bye’ from the other side of the complex as the doors closed. You scrolled through your playlist, trying to find a song to fit your mood when the doors finally opened and you walked to the front door of the complex. You sighed as you saw today’s newspaper on the floor, reminding you of the date. It’s been about a month and a half since Peter broke up with you and you couldn’t say that it didn’t affect you. You couldn’t help but think that Peter hadn’t been telling you everything – especially considering you always caught him looking at you at school, not to mention you had found him following you home to make sure you got there safe once or twice. You tried calling him, texting him, hell, you even tried emailing him, but he never answered so you began to choose the fate of it being completely over.

What you failed to notice, however, was the infamous Spider-Man following you home at night, curving every mugger or potential threat to you. Peter had been miserable, not that he could tell anyone about it. He had tried to convince Tony to talk to Natasha, but that was no help. Tony was a first-hand witness of what being involved with a non-avenger could do to someone – he didn’t want you to be Peter’s Pepper, so instead he offered him his fatherly advice, a pat on the shoulder and a sympathetic smile.

“Peter, can I talk to you for a second?” Peter had been training at the tower for the past two hours, pausing only this once to look at the captain. He requested F.R.I.D.A.Y. to turn the music off as he took off his boxing gloves. He nodded at Steve and headed over to sit on one of the benches, Steve following him. “How are you doing?” Peter shrugged, not really knowing what to say – Steve and Natasha were pretty close, and Peter didn’t know how the captain was reacting to Natasha’s decision to keep Peter away from you. “I mean, how are you doing about (Y/N)? You’ve been in here almost everyday the past month.”

“I don’t know how I’m supposed to feel.”

“Why do you think there’s something you’re supposed to feel?” Peter shrugged again, sighing.

“I don’t know. I just assume since it wasn’t my decision to end things, I don’t really know how to react. I’m sad, I guess? It’s hard, you know? It’s like she was ripped away from me, yet she’s never too far. Which just hurts more. It just…”

“Sucks?” Peter chuckled a little, looking up to see Steve giving him a comforting smile.

“For lack of better words, yes. It sucks.” Steve nodded, putting his hand on Peter’s shoulder.

“Is she worth it?”

“What do you mean?”

“Come on, Peter. You and me both know that if worse comes to worst, you wouldn’t let anything happen to (Y/N). So, why not fight it? Natasha knows it, too. Having a mom as an avenger isn’t too great, either.” Peter looked at him in confusion. “There are plenty of people who hate Natasha, no offense to her, but that’s just a fact. All I’m saying is it wouldn’t be horrible for (Y/N) to have two people who are willing to do anything to keep her out of trouble.”

“Won’t Natasha be mad at you for telling me how to get her daughter back?” Steve laughed, his head hanging down as he shook it. He lifted his head again, shrugging with a wide smile.

“Like most things, she’ll thank me for it later. Now, go get her, Parker.”

“Peter? What are you doing here?” Peter had pulled his suit on in a hurry, slinging his way to your apartment building. He pushed his way past Natasha, noting that he would probably regret that in the very near future.

“I need to talk to (Y/N).”

“What? Peter you’re still in your suit, also we had a deal-”

“Natasha, I can’t do it.”

“Peter?” He and Natasha both looked toward where your voice was coming from, seeing you there with a blank expression on your face. “Can’t do what? What are you doing here?” It wasn’t until now that you registered what he was wearing. “Are you dressed like Spider-Man for a reason?” Peter walked up to you, ignoring the daggers that Nat was giving him as he took your hands, you hesitated before letting him hold your hands tightly in his.

“(Y/N), I need to tell you something.”

“Peter.” He looked at Natasha, a warning look on her face. It almost made him back down, but his mind drifted back to Steve and he held his head high. “I should have told you this a long time ago, but I was trying to protect you. This is who I am, and me being Spider-Man was the reason I had to break up with you, your mom was trying to protect you-”

“My mom?” Your hands retreated from his, looking behind him to see your mom standing there, stiffly. “You told Peter to break up with me?”

“Honey,”

“It wasn’t her fault,” Peter interrupted her, another thing he’d regret later, “she wanted to protect you, I did, too. That’s why I didn’t fight it, but god, I miss you. And no matter whether we’re together or not, I am always going to protect you.” You smiled softly at Peter, him returning it. Not that either of you had noticed, but Natasha smiled at you both too. Feeling slightly guilty that she hadn’t realized how much you both cared for each other.

“I’m glad that you came over tonight.” Your voice wavered a little bit, causing Peter to subconsciously reach his hand up to caress your cheek. “I really miss you.” Peter smiled widely, slowly leaning down to kiss you, before you could however, you heard your mother clear her throat.

“I just,” Nat shook her head, mumbling ‘I can’t believe I’m saying this’, “I’m sorry. I was wrong.” You looked at your mom shocked, knowing how hard it was for your mom to admit defeat. “It would be nice knowing that if I’m ever unavailable to you, that Peter will be there.” You smiled slightly, until realization hit you.

“Wait, does that mean you knew each other before I introduced you two?” Peter and Natasha both nodded, giving you a sheepish look. You laughed a little, “I’d be mad if I wasn’t so happy that Peter’s here.” You blushed lightly when Peter winked at you, leaning down and giving you a soft peck. “You owe me so much more, it’s been a hell of a month and a half.” Peter laughed and pecked you again.

“Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’ll repay my debt.”

READER HOROSCOPE FOR FEBRUARY 2017

Turning the celestial pages of love

AQUARIUS

Bust out the champagne and crank up the music - it’s your birthday month, and you are ready to party! You’re full of energy this month after a pretty drab and boring January, and it’s infectious! Have you noticed a recent uptick in the number of brunch and happy hour invitations in your inbox? Get used to it! You’re in the spotlight this month, Aquarius, and you are loving it. While you embrace moment in the sun, just be sure to monitor your calendar so you don’t overbook yourself. Looking for a high-energy read that fits your current mood?  Look no further than your lucky book for this month, a wildly imaginative and deliciously unusual account of the dawn of the modern era. You’ve undoubtedly heard snippets of the circumstances around the death of Anne Boleyn, or memorized some facts about the Aztec people in middle school, but be warned: this is history like you’ve never experienced it before. While you whisk around this month, charming the socks off of everyone you meet, remember the power that a sparkling personality and a tiny twist of fate can yield. Who knows, you may end up altering the course of history yourself.

LUCKY BOOK: Sudden Death by Álvaro Enrigue

PISCES

Time to bring out the bathrobe and fuzzy slippers, Pisces. You’re in desperate need of some rest, and this month is your time to finally indulge in the magical art of doing absolutely nothing. Well, okay…doing less. You know how to read your body, and you know when your mind is stretched to the breaking point - this is the time to slow down and use your spare time to just let yourself be. Work is work, and the pressure from deadlines and upcoming projects may trick you into thinking that you need to be on edge all the time, but that is simply not the case! Allow yourself to do what you need to do at the office, and then give yourself the freedom to pursue an activity you want to do - whether that be taking more naps, dusting off your baking pans, or settling down with a good book. And speaking of good books - if you’re looking for a long, juicy read to fill the time you’re gaining this month, your lucky book this month is just the ticket. Take a walk through several decades of history - from Kingston, Jamaica to the streets of New York - and read a fascinating fictional account surrounding the assassination of Bob Marley, and the world-changing events that followed. There’s no better time to sink your teeth into a gripping, spellbinding story than during a self-imposed exile from the noise and clamor of the real world, so get ready to dig in.

LUCKY BOOK: A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James

ARIES

One may be the loneliest number, Aries, but that’s not a worry you’ll have this month. People are just clamoring to be in your orbit, from friends to strangers to colleagues, and you’re working on making your exchanges both smooth (always check your teeth after going to town on a kale salad!) and profitable (business cards at the ready!). Collaboration is of the utmost importance right now, as the connections you forge today will only help you become a better team player, listener, and person overall. Having at least one partner to work with in all things academic, corporate, or even romantic can help the both of you become greater than the sum of your parts - and perhaps even create the beginnings of a lifetime bond. The characters in your lucky book can attest to this: two orphans abandoned at birth, who grow up together and eventually fall in love. Follow them on a whirlwind journey through the world of dance and theater, through temporary separation and desperately trying to find their way back to each other to make their childhood dreams come true. It’s a spellbinding paean to the wonders of enduring love, suffering difficult times, and coming out on the other side stronger together - an appreciation that you can truly share this month.

LUCKY BOOK: The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O'Neill

TAURUS

There’s no stopping you from getting what you want this month, Taurus, and it’s inspiring to see. They don’t call you the bull for nothing - you refuse to be deterred from going after your dreams, and you’re willing to do just about anything to achieve the level of success you’ve always wanted. That means, of course, that this is a month in which your social calendar will be pretty bare bones: you only have so much time to spare, and getting your affairs in order to strive toward the next level in your career or passion is of utmost importance right now. When is the last time you spoke to your mentor? That’s one lunch date that should be prioritized - you can have all the ambition in the world, but without a bit of guidance from someone who’s seen more and experienced more, you may merely end up spinning your wheels or even end up suffering from the residual effects of self-sabotage. In your lucky book this month, you’ll learn all about a nation that achieved an incredible feat  way ahead of its time: establishing a modern-day revolutionary theocracy. From the outside, Iran now appears to be dangerous, a threat to our way of life, but within it lies a much deeper and more complex story of the many religious thinkers, political operatives, poets, journalists, and activists that have staked their entire lives and beliefs on what they feel their country should represent and be capable of. For a mover and shaker like yourself, this is the kind of book you won’t know you needed until you’re halfway through. Go get em, Taurus. We’ll be cheering you on.

LUCKY BOOK: Children of Paradise: The Struggle for the Soul of Iran by Laura Secor

GEMINI

This month is focused on personal growth, Gem, and not a moment too soon. If you’ve been feeling bored and listless, then find a class to take or new route to run. If you’ve been feeling hopeless about the state of the world, use this time to push yourself to action - get involved in a way you may have been afraid or hesitant to until now. This is the time to expand your everyday reality, to take small leaps of faith that leave you with some pretty undeniable results. Your inner circle will be crucial during this time of self-discovery and boundary-testing: they’re smart, reliable, and you trust them to have your best interests at heart. That is not a gift to be taken lightly, so be sure to learn from them this month, and let them know how much you appreciate their presence in your life. To assist you in thinking on a larger scale than you normally do, your lucky book this month is a small volume with dizzying scope. Learn the facts around some of our most common yet awe-inspiring realities, like the makeup of space and time, and the elementary ingredients that comprise our world. It’s the perfect reset button, going back to the basics of our physical world and coming to a deeper understanding about how truly miraculous and beautifully fated our very existence is. You’ll walk away from this book with a much richer perspective on life, and less fear around wresting control of your own, and shaping it in the way you’ve always dreamed. You know what they say about shooting for the moon, Gem. Landing among the stars really isn’t such a bad deal.

Lucky Book: Reality is Not What it Seems by Carlo Rovelli

CANCER

Who says being a recluse is a bad thing? There are times you just need to be alone, to recharge and re-center yourself, and this month, it’s your turn. A lot has happened over the past few months, both in your personal life and on a global scale, and if you want to be able to navigate the many different challenges that have presented themselves, reconnecting with your values and checking in on your state of mind is a must. This doesn’t mean you need to confine yourself to your apartment at all times, just that it would be in your best interest to embark on a journey of some inner exploration, and maybe limit your social engagements to outings with only your closest friends. The clarity that can come from this time spent with yourself or with your most trusted loved ones is invaluable. The main character of your lucky book this month makes that discovery as well - on a trip to Greece to search for her missing husband, there are some questions about his disappearance that are never answered, but by the end of the book, she has plumbed her emotional depths and discovered long-dormant truths about herself that could only be found during a sustained period of solitude. Don’t be afraid to do the tough psychological work of digging through your own impulses, desires, fears, and hopes - self-reflection is a skill that becomes more crucial the more life is lived. Dive in.

LUCKY BOOK: A Separation by Katie Kitamura

LEO

Once upon a time, there was a Leo who felt like they would scream if they had to answer another benign “How are you?” You know what, Leo? We certainly can’t say we blame you. You’re all about the real talk this month - you say what you mean and mean what you say, and don’t have time for meaningless pleasantries. Life is too short for wasting precious minutes on anything but the conversations and experiences that will help you get where you’re trying to go. January was a bit slow - the first month of the year tends to be a rough one - so now you’re fired up, ready to go. Your mind is buzzing, and your creative energy is flowing - so keep that vibe going! The author of your lucky book this month is the perfect accompaniment to your current mindset: quirky and unusual, a series of traditional fairy tales with stunningly inventive departures from the norm. Is it a love story, a tragedy, or merely a series of strange misadventures? That’s up to you to decide. Go on a journey filled with twists and turns, and surrender yourself to the glorious ambiguity of familiar stories turned on their head. I know you’re a straight shooter this month, but there is value in taking the road less traveled to your intended destination - or, perhaps, to a destination you didn’t even know you wanted to reach. You’re going to make it to your _______ ever after - and filling in that blank is the best part.

LUCKY BOOK: Mr. Fox by Helen Oyeyemi

VIRGO

Fire up that blender and start stretching those limbs, Virgo - this month, personal fitness is the name of the game. Chances are, you’ve been following the news cycle obsessively, nearly driven to the edge with worry, and stress-eating is often the only solace to be found after going down a dark social media hole. No more! Banish the Doritos from your room and just say no to the peanut M&Ms. Get rid of the nagging guilt by listening to your body and doing what it’s politely asking you to do - put your health at the forefront of your concerns and allow yourself to shut everything else out, if only for an hour a day. Better yet, put your money where your mouth is, and get outside to volunteer with an organization doing the work you feel passionate about. Aside from it being a small humanitarian act that can go far, you’ll feel better for having spent your energy on an activity that helps put the world to rights, just a little bit, rather than simply complaining about it on your Facebook feed. After all, this is going to be a marathon, not a sprint - better to limber up for the long haul rather than let yourself burn out quickly. For inspiration, your lucky book of the month is a historically accurate account of a slave’s escape right before the Civil War - a reminder that despite even the most inhumane and depraved circumstances, the human will to persist, to survive, is more durable than we often believe. Remember the struggle others have faced before you: grieve their sacrifice, but take strength from it too. You are capable of more than you know.

LUCKY BOOK: Song Yet Sung by James McBride

LIBRA

Ooh, la la, Libra! Love is in the air this month, and you are just reveling in it! And what a beautiful thing that love is, when it’s free, and shared without guilt or shame. You feel light, unburdened, and that’s not an easy feat. Few can allow themselves to wear their hearts on their sleeve like you do, but that doesn’t make you weak-willed or unable to keep a secret. It means you have courage in an area where others often don’t: the courage to be rejected. The courage to be disappointed. Instead of hiding your affection for whoever has captured it, you’re letting it shine and going after what you want. In a world that increasingly favors mind games and obfuscation in matters of the heart, your approach is a wholly refreshing one - so don’t be surprised when it works! Your lucky book this month is written from the point of few of the outsider - the witness to an extraordinary love story that grows into a personal passion. Such is the power of love - particularly in this case, when it’s between a housemaid and a policeman, two individuals who come from totally different cultural and political backgrounds. As they struggle to legitimize their true feelings in a society that does not want them to be together, the narrator becomes more and more attuned to their private anguish, and is ultimately changed just by having seen their relationship blossom. If that’s not an endorsement of living and loving out loud - especially in a time and place where you are granted that freedom - then what is?

LUCKY BOOK: A Word for Love by Emily Robbins

SCORPIO

Kick off your shoes and relax your feet, Scorpio - this month is shaping up to be a quiet, introspective one. There’s no place like home right now, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of - everyone needs a chance to just relax in their own abode from time to time. If you’re feeling the sudden urge to paint, or change your curtains, or even do some plumbing - go with it! This is your sanctuary, and it can be incredibly therapeutic and soothing to put the time and care into maintenance that it deserves. Your home is much more than the physical structure, however; be sure to spend some time with the people closest to you as well. They are your anchors - whether it be your girlfriend, roommate, little cousin, or parents - and keeping you grounded can be a pretty taxing job, if we’re being honest here! Don’t neglect those relationships; they need as much maintenance and TLC as your apartment does. Your lucky book this month is a heartwarming, hilariously realistic tale of two families who learn, through a series of misadventures, how vital they are to each other, despite any build-up of resentment, or jealousy, or awkwardness. The people who love you the most know your flaws, and continue to love you in spite of them - and what an incredible reminder when the world just makes you want to lie down for a long time. There truly is no place like home.

LUCKY BOOK: Modern Lovers by Emma Straub

SAGITTARIUS

You’re just the life of the party, aren’t you, Sag? You’re radiating positive energy this month, and it is joy to be around. It’s rare that you run out of things to talk about, because you have opinions to share and refuse to keep them locked away! Good for you - a little bit of honesty is healthy, and breaks down walls that keep potential friends apart. Your forthrightness is attracting all sorts of people to you, and there’s a good chance that it may lead to a brand new friendship - or more! There is little doubt that you will find a kindred spirit in the protagonist of your lucky book for this month: a young woman who charms her way from small-town girl-next-door to mega-popular It Girl. You know the risks of laying yourself bare, inviting commentary and criticism from friends and strangers alike - it can be demoralizing and downright scary, as people will often take your kindness for weakness. This is where your signature optimism and honesty come in handy - sometimes in order to protect yourself, you need to let people know when they’re crossing your boundaries. And if they take offense, well then, that’s their issue. You know who are you, what you want, and you’re not afraid to stand up for yourself when no one else will. Keep doing you, Sagittarius. It suits you well.

LUCKY BOOK: Funny Girl by Nick Hornby

CAPRICORN

Work, work, work! Cap, I truly admire your commitment to your craft and seemingly inexhaustible supply of energy. You’re firing on all pistons this month, breezing through deadlines and taking on extra projects - and killing it! This is your month of productivity, and so far, it’s a very successful one. Be careful to avoid burnout, though. If you haven’t already, scale back your side-ventures and hobbies, if only for the next few weeks while you’re in work-mode. Balance is vital - either work less and socialize more, or vice versa, but at all costs, avoid burning the candle at both ends. You always want to be economical with your greatest commodity - your time. But guess what, Cap? Being focused on your work actually doesn’t preclude engaging in play - quite the contrary. According to your lucky book this month, some of our most invaluable resources were the result of an innovator having fun. Makes weird sense, doesn’t it? Think about your own daily schedule. How much more productive are you when you actually enjoy what you’re doing? How much more exciting are the ideas you come up with when you’re truly enjoying the brainstorm, or are working towards an enjoyable product? Work doesn’t have to be boring - and, really, it just shouldn’t be. And you can - literally - take that to the bank.

It was one of those few rainy days in Beacon Hills. The autumn left the early evenings dark and cold and it fitted your mood right now.

You’ve been sick the whole week and wasn’t able to help out with any of the problems you and your pack had been faced with the past weeks. Being a human during this sickness wasn’t preferable.

Calm Down

Flustered and confused were the words that fit your mood at the moment. Tonight was the only night left before your finals in the morning and you were going all out on studying and reviewing every subject you knew. Tomorrow’s  would consist of Maths, Science, English, History, Geography, etc. and you were definitely on edge about the whole thing.

You let out an irritated groan of displeasure and let your head fall to the mattress of your bed to which you were sitting on.
“This is hopeless! How can one human hold all this knowledge in their brain? Ugh.” You threw down your pencil on the open Math book in front of you, the advanced algebra really threw you off your game and made you acquire a throbbing headache. You rubbed your eyes desperately  and persistently in hopes of soothing your bad mood, it didn’t.

“Knock knock, can I come in?” The sound of Percy’s voice sounded through your cabin door.

You rolled your eyes at this, “What could you possibly want?” You didn’t mean to snap. In fact, you already planned on apologizing later on.

He came in with a sour look on his face, closing the door behind him he walked over to lean on your bed frame.
“Why are you so mean to me? What did I do this time?” He spoke softly yet playfully.

You shook your head and threw your legs over the side of the bed and let your feet sway back and forth with the sway of the Agro II’s sail since Leo decided to take her out for a joyride once more. “I’m sorry it’s just-” You sighed, “ finals are in the morning and I have to be there to finish the semester. I’m not ready for it just yet, I-I need more time!” You quickly realized the little time left and went back to re-reading the first section of the page.

Percy swung his leg over the bed frame and leapt onto the bed to sit, jostling your books and papers. “ Chill out and relax-          ”

“Relax?! I can’t relax Percy, I have to pass this in order to get a good mark on my college application. I don’t think I can do this, it’s way too hard!” You interrupted feeling like your  nerves were sparking up and dissolving from so much stress and tension.

Percy raised his hands up to stop your rambling, “ Hey, calm down and breathe. My dad always said that a smooth sea never made a skilful sailor or something like that. My point is that maybe it’s hard now but at least you’ll know these things and they may come in handy someday.”

You dropped your head to your hands and groaned loudly into your hands.

Knock Knock
“Hey it’s Jason, are you okay in there?"

With you not answering at the moment, Percy shouted to him. "She’s okay I think… you might wanna come cheer your girlfriend up though.”

The door creaked open gently. The gap in the door was soon replaced by Jason’s head poking inside to look before opening all the way.
“Hey, what’s going on?” He walked over to your bedside and pulled up your desk chair to sit in, he looked down and saw your school books spread out across the duvet and sighed heavily. “I told you not to stress about it, Y/n. You got this in the bag already, I can already tell you passed,”

You lifted your face to look at him with wide puppy dog eyes full of hopelessness. You honestly felt so overwhelmed about all of this and actually considered dropping out if you failed.

Percy rested his hand on your shoulder and gave a comforting lopsided smile. His sea-green eyes spoke volumes of comfort and security, just like the sea itself. “Look I got to go check on Leo, Jason, get her to chill out, please?” He laughed out and stood up from the bed where he sat, “Good luck!” With a wave and a much-needed hug he left.

You turned your head in Jason’s direction and gave a ghostly smile.

Shaking his head at you, he opened his arms for you to be embraced and comforted by him, “Come here..”

You gladly accepted his offer and abandoned your schoolbooks for relaxation and your boyfriend. All cuddled up in his arms now,
he spoke softly. “You can’t do that to yourself, Y/n. It’s not fair to yourself that you put yourself through all this stress.”
You didn’t say anything back to him, instead just nuzzling your head to hide in his arms.

“You’ll do great, I know you will. But, if you keep stressing about it, you might forget everything you studied for.” Jason whispered into your hair as he gave gentle kisses to the top of your head.

You scoffed at his words, “Gee thanks, Jase, now I know all that studying I did earlier was for nothing. Better hit the books again.” You sarcastically said, rolling your eyes and shoving yourself out of his embrace to lean over the open book once more.

Jason groaned and sat up to close your book and pull you back to him, “ No~ I didn’t mean it like that! I just meant that with you worrying so much you might not retain anything you might need to.” He rested his chin on your shoulder and kissed your cheek in efforts to comfort you.
You rolled your eyes again and turned your head  away from him.

“Go away now. I won’t stress about it, but I still need to stud-     ” You were cut off by Jason kissing you in the middle of your sentence. When he pulled away you sighed half frustrated and half happy from the kiss, “ I hate it when you do that. I never get to finish those kind of sentences around you, especially if you disagree with them.” He chuckled and smiled at you in triumph.

Just as he was about to speak, Percy swung open the door, Leo and Annabeth in tow behind him. Annabeth looking slightly annoyed and Leo looking utterly confused.

“Okay, you are going to love me for this, Y/n. I’ve brought you the master of work,” He gestured to Annabeth like a TV host,“ And the master of play.” He gestured to a waving Leo,“ Together they make the ultimate study buddy group!”

Jason grimaced at the pair, suddenly worrying about the squabbling to come if he stayed. He stood up quickly which made you fall backwards a little, “ Well I did my part. Heh, I gotta go~” With that he fast-walked out of the room and closed the door behind him.

Annabeth scoffed at his actions and cracked her knuckles in preparation, nudging Leo with her elbow she walked over to sit next to you and the open school books, “ Alright let’s get down to business.”

**Wow the ending sucks. sorry for being MIA lately, I’ve gotten all the research I need done so I should be updating more often. I really hope this is ok**

Aquarius: Weekly (Starting on April 24)

The start of the week is inspiring – as inspiring as the cathedrals were to Monet, or the sunflowers to Van Gogh, or the pigeons in the grass to Gertrude Stein. Everything you see seems to fit your mood as if the world is a projection of your inner beauty. Others find you attractive, exciting and may tell you so. Lost in all this on Wednesday and Thursday, you are hardly thinking about, say, money, which might pose a problem. If it does, you still won’t be thinking about it. Friday and Saturday find you in one of your wide-eyed philosophical moods. Sunday is utterly fascinating.

Career & Finance

You’re wearing your emotions like clothes on Monday, and it makes sense that, with so much bare, you feel awkward. To combat the feeling of vulnerability, spend Tuesday focused on someone else’s projects. You’ll get bonus points for being of service. Wednesday through Friday, you finally feel comfortable in the present: Your posture is better and your ideas are received like revelations. If there’s a new employee in the mix, they will instantly be drawn to you. Use your organizational skills to put together a social activity on Friday – a work lunch, or an end-of-the-week happy hour.

Love & Relationships

You are going to connect with someone totally random on Monday, or else you’ll connect with someone you’ve known a while (possibly a love interest) about something you never knew you had in common. The conversation stays with you through the week – through the doldrums of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Then, on Friday, someone (possibly the same person) strikes up a conversation with you that goes in a fascinating direction. If you happen to be single, Saturday is your best bet this week to meet someone, presenting you with a new face after another new face.
