Hey peeps! Ever have that feeling when you’re not drawing and you think, “Ugh- I should be drawing right now! I need to get better! I have no time for breaks!!”
Chances are you really are drawing enough. Remember that every single person goes at their own pace when reaching artistic goals. Don’t push too hard, and remember that sometimes a nice break helps bridge you to the next stage. ;)
I can respect different ships and their fandoms.
There are ships, crackships, fandoms crackfandoms and the whole multi shipping universe.
Then there’s people who want to label a character’s sexual orientation when there’s absolutely zero evidence to support said orientation. And then there’s using that label as an end all be all argument just to shoehorn a ship into the narrative. AND THEN there’s using that label as an argument to aggressively attack actors, writers and other fandoms who don’t support that ship.
BETTY COOPER IS NOT A LESBIAN.
Claim that the actors and characters have chemistry. Claim that the ship makes sense *to* you. Claim that they look *hot* together. Claim that sexuality can be fluid. Claim whatever you want, ship whatever you want – BUT DON’T try to label a character’s sexual orientation when it doesn’t exist in the show.
Betty Cooper is NOT a lesbian and I am so tired of hearing that diatribe all around social media, and you know what fandom I’m talking about.
She can be bisexual, hell even pansexual (although there’s zero evidence for this either). But don’t slap a label on her that EXCLUDES the sexual and romantic attraction she has towards men. Because, guess what? It doesn’t validate her sexual identity. It invalidates it. And I will fight everyone on this til the day I die.
Mission: Impossible Probably Doesn’t Have This Much Gay Panic
aka that ridiculous super tropey cliched jeremwood gta fic i started ages ago and have now finished as a valentine’s gift for @ryanthepowerbottomguy rating: m for nonspecific dick mention content warning for bad humor, deliberately vague heist details, and ryan “you can’t catch me gay thoughts” haywood on ao3 excerpt:
“It just needs another minute.”
“We don’t have a minute,” Ryan says. He presses an ear against the door and shuts his eyes, tense, waiting, mapping out a dozen escape routes in his head. “We have maybe thirty seconds. Does that work?”
“Look, the thing—it says it needs fifty-three seconds, okay, do you want me to argue with the computer?”
“Well, yeah, that’s what Gavin does!”
“He—okay, wait, no? He definitely doesn’t just argue with the computer, what the hell, what exactly do you think Gavin does when he’s—” Jeremy cuts himself off, goes still and quiet when heavy footsteps stop in front of the door.
“Alright,” Ryan murmurs, shifting to move into a better position to intercept the guy when he comes through the door. “I’ll try to take him down quietly and maybe we won’t, uh, no, what are you doing,” he says, bewildered, when Jeremy vaults himself over the desk neatly and starts moving in Ryan’s direction.
“I saw this in a movie once,” Jeremy says seriously, and then he’s grabbing Ryan by the lapels of his ill-fitting suit and hauling him down to kiss him.
Fully. On the mouth. With tongue. It’s a little dirty.
