first time making something

I've been thinking about this for a while, so how about a story where Tom makes a weird trifle for Marco and co. for a sleepover/party, and everyone is trying to hide that it's not good (except that Star actually likes it since we're talking about someone who eats her burritos with sugar), but the next day, Marco offers to help him cook something amazing. (Yes, I did take this idea from an episode of Friends, glad you asked! XD)

Awww! This was such a cute idea! I had so much fun with it! Prepare for fluff!!!!

——————————————————————————————-

“How do you guys like it?” Tom asked excitedly. He was bouncing up and down, mostly watching for Marco’s reaction. This was the first time he’s ever tried this hard to make something, and he really wanted to see Marco’s reaction. Janna picked up one of the treats and examined it.

“What is it?” She asked.

“They’re cookies! What do they look like?” Tom asked. Janna and Star traded glances. Star shrugged and ate a whole cookie, she liked it and gave Tom a thumbs up. Janna made a face and gave Star her cookie, not wanting to eat it herself. Marco resisted the urge to make a face and examined the treat.

Tom looked over at Marco and perked up with curiosity. “How do you like them Marco!?” He asked. Marco studied the cookie and forced himself to take a bite. Marco immediately had the reflex to spit the gross food out but forced it back.

“What did you think?” Tom asked. Marco looked up at Tom, to tell him the truth, but the demon looked so happy! He was so proud of himself! Marco didn’t have the heart to tell him they were repulsive. Marco forced himself to swallow the cookie and choked back a gag. Marco smiled and placed the rest on the plate.

“They’re so good Tom!” He smiled big. “But uh… they’re really heavy. That’s what it is, so I don’t think I can eat anymore.” Marco explained, forcing a smile. Tom smiled back, he seemed so pleased about receiving Marco’s approval.

“Oh! Maybe I added too much cornstarch.” Tom guessed. Janna looked over at Star confused.

“Why was he putting cornstarch in cookies?” She asked. Star shrugged and ate the rest of Marco’s cookie.

“It doesn’t matter, whatever he’s doing he’s doing it right.” Star assured. Janna made a face at Star and looked away. Tom was smiling at Marco and he seemed pleased.

“I’m so happy you liked them! I worked on them for hours.” Tom admitted. “I didn’t want to tell you that until I knew you liked them.” Tom explained. Marco smiled a little guilty and patted the demon’s head.

“How about we go to the kitchen and we make something together?” Marco suggested. “I can show you how to make them less… heavy.” Marco tried. Tom perked up excitedly and nodded.

“Yeah! That’ll be fun!” Tom agreed. Marco smiled and took Tom’s hand. The couple went down to the kitchen and Marco pulled out a recipe. “What’s that?” Tom asked.

“It’s a recipe so we know what ingredients to use.” Marco told him. “What recipe did you use?” he asked. Tom shrugged.

“I just kept adding stuff until I could mold them into cookie shapes.” Tom explained.

“How long did you bake them for?” Marco asked. Tom raised an eyebrow.

“Bake?” He repeated, confused. Maroc sighed and took out a mixing bowl.

“Okay well they’ll be a lot better if you follow the recipe.” Marco explained. Tom nodded and Marco gave him a list of ingredients to gether from the refrigerator and Tom put them on the table. Marco smiled and showed him how much to add of each. “Okay, now we bake them.” Marco explained.

“But they aren’t shaped like cookies, they’re just balls of dough.” Tom pointed out. Marco laughed a little and kissed Tom on the nose.

“I know, but when they bake they will.” Marco promised. Tom sat in front of the oven and watched inside curiously to see how this magical process worked. Marco smiled and sat down next to him. Tom leaned his head against Marco’s.

“It’s warm right here.” He said. Marco laughed a little and kissed Tom’s head.

“Yeah, the oven heats up.” Marco giggled. Tom nodded.

“Thanks for teaching me how to bak Mar-Mar.” Tom told him. “I know my cookies weren’t that good.” Tom admitted. Marco couldn’t stifle his small laugh.

“Practice makes perfect Tommy. Keep trying. Maybe follow a recipe next time? We can try and make a really good one together!” Marco suggested. Tom smiled and bounced a little excitedly.

“Okay! We can do it together!” Tom smiled big and moved closer to Marco. It was warm by the oven, and the cookies smelled really good. Marco kept turning to Tom and giving him a little kiss every few minutes, and Tom was holding Marco’s hand in both of his.

This was nice.

Even though Harry is my favorite actor from the cast, I think his acting is a little over the top in the sneak peek from next episode. I mean I know Magnus is dramatic, but he is sort of coming across as a caricature of who Magnus actually is in that scene.

You know, it’s interesting you point this out because I personally don’t believe this is a misstep on Harry’s part; I think this is a deliberate choice in terms of how Magnus behaves with various people. The reason I say this is because I’ve noticed it’s been a very consistent trait Harry has given Magnus when he’s around those he doesn’t fully trust or know.

I think in S1 and throughout most of 2x01, we see him largely around Alec, someone he’s willing to be more genuine with (Clary, too). But watch him in 1x04 (with Elias where he twirls like 3x in the scene, but also when he’s flirting with Alec while Jace is watching – when he flips that table with his foot, please), 1x07 where Jace and Luke are both present (Jace’s presence is usually the main factor because Magnus isn’t especially fond of Jace), 1x12 during the Institute meeting and when they’re going to find Ragnor (again, Jace (and Hodge) are present). Even the way he approaches Jace and Clary in 1x12 after the kiss is over, there’s a swagger you don’t see when his focus had been Alec.

You’re right, it’s an exaggeration and it’s not representative of who Magnus actually is. But I think that’s the point: it’s a deliberate front he puts up, a way of deflecting people from seeing the real him. Magnus does not like to be seen as who he really is. He’s an extremely guarded individual, and the hair, the makeup, the clothes, the gestures, even his speech patterns – that’s all there to shield him. The real Magnus is a privilege reserved for the rare few who have managed to sneak their way into his heart. At the time of that scene, Simon isn’t one of those people.

“Exceptions are made, however, with regards to Taylor Swift. The pop star asked to purchase a sample bag from a Glamour cover shoot in 2012 and was photographed with it all over the world."I will admit that I never charged her,” Fox says. “She beat it to death, so within a year, she had a problem with a piece of the hardware, and she sent it back because she wanted it repair. And I replaced it with another bag because she didn’t want to be without it.” Now Swift owns a Mark Cross purse for each of her fashion personas, from girly to Met Gala goth.“

Okay, what happened?

love how i never notice this...

the three of them lighting up the fireworks, both victor and yuri look like they are enjoying themselves while yurio seems like he doesn’t like the sound they make the dork (considering this might be his first time doing something like this)…

now we see yuri with a face as if he’s trying to say something, and if you look closely you’ll see that yurio is now holding two fireworks while yuri seems to have lost his… yup, yurio just took yuri’s firework and it’s definitely teasing him with it! i can imagine them yelling at each other… all this while victor’s just watching from the sidelines without being able to contain his laughter and joy because of these two…

the frames keep going and now yuri’s actually chasing yurio in order to get back what’s his or just to get revenge on the boy haha, but either way, yuri being 23-24 and yurio being 15-16, depending when this takes place, they are both acting like a pair of little kids, chasing one another, and it’s adorable… of course victor is the same, just enjoying the moment, BECAUSE LOOK AT HIM, seems like he is pretending to fly or just running around making airplane sounds something which wouldn’t surprise me in the least

AND FINALLY WE COULD SAY YURI’S GOT HIS FIREWORK BACK (or he just lighted up another the poor boy), but the point is that the three of them look… happy… letting go, fooling around, being silly or careless, ALL THIS IS GOOD ONCE IN A WHLE, because they may not get another chance.

Just dancing at night, with the sound of fireworks all around them, with sand covering their feet while getting their fancy clothes dirty (i really hope they are doing this at the beach), they don’t care whose watching, because they feel good, and for them that’s enough.

on a side note… yuri’s final dance sequence, i wonder if he’s actually putting a show for victor and yurio, or maybe he is so entranced with the moment he’s no longer conscious he’s being watched
