Today at Firefly Music Festival, I finally saw my all-time favorite artist, JACK WHITE. The show was absolutely phenomenal and exceeded all of my expectations. I waited in front of the stage for 4 hours to get a good spot just to see him. Before Jack, I saw John Legend and he was pretty fantastic. I don’t listen to much of his music, but he really did put on a great show. Very impressed. Anyway, back to Jack. I waited there for such a long time and people kept being complete assholes and tried to cut in front of us. Finally, my mother blew up at this guy and he was attempting to be a badass. He shouted, “THIS IS AMERICA! I can do what I want! AMERICA, AMERICA!” and only his stupid drunk friends chanted with him. He made a complete ass of himself. lololol. When the time for Jack to come on got closer, we somehow managed to get in the second/third row. My mom and I were talking to this really cool couple about Jack and how awesome he was. I told them about how I had all of his albums on vinyl and how excited I was to finally see him. Halfway through the show, they had to leave and they wanted me to take their spot on the railing. I was shocked and kinda had a little trouble trying to maneuver there without stepping on anyone’s feet. Someone else almost took my spot but this super, extremely nice lady pulled me up and made sure I got up front. If I could talk to that couple now… I would just so badly want to thank them. That’s one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. As soon as I got on the railing, Jack started singing “We’re Going to be Friends” and I completely lost it. That was the first time I ever cried at a show. Tonight was one of the best nights I’ve ever experienced and I’ll never forget it.

And to anyone who actually read all of this, you’re awesome.

this girl straight up sliced her damn foot and there was blood everywhere and it really sucked cos you have to walk for 40 days and 40 nights to even see the entrance to the festival but then when we bandaged her up and she stopped crying for a sec and stopped saying it was the worst day of her life, the drugs she took earlier started kicking in and she tripped major balls and was happy as a clam after that, didn’t even feel her foot anymore
