finger symbol

I remember earthworms
writhing in lawns
unearthed by stubby fingers
dangled as symbols
of disgust and bravery.
I remember thinking
there was something so RIGHT
so essential, so basic
about those wet bodies
wriggling like muscles
sprung free from bones.
They were segmented perfection
purifying the earth
and I was the alien.

Not sure why I drew this, I enjoy drawing mythological and religious figures and items and stuff. Hope you guys like it! Get at me for prints :D

I enjoyed reading up about some of the symbolism and stuff and making choices of how I wanted him to look :D

Once engaged, and later married, Jack starts unconsciously using his wedding ring as a comfort item. If he’s anxious or stressed he no longer clenches his fists, instead he folds his thumb to run over the smooth band on his ring finger while he takes deep breaths.

Newest tattoo

I always wear a ring
Right hand
Middle finger
It’s symbolic, I tell my parents
and because my mother still thinks
she raised me with manners
and I hate disappointing her
I don’t mention that it’s also
when I need to flip off the next guy who calls me a prude.

“It’s a thing, a real thing.”
“No, I’m serious!”
“It’s not a choice.”
“The ‘A’ doesn’t stand for ally!”
“I’m older NOW.”

I break down on my mother’s shoulder
crying and letting her rub my knuckle with her thumb
because I know I don’t like boys
and I just got a letter from my best friend
and I miss her so much
and I don’t understand myself
because no one’s ever bothered explaining
what it means to love someone
without wanting to kiss them.

Someone gives me a novel
and the pieces fall together when I read it.
…THAT’S where babies come from?
Why would anyone DO that?
…No, I really don’t think I’ll like it when I’m older.

My friend is going on a date
and all I can think is
“You really wanted to kiss him?”
I start to wonder what I’m not understanding.

I have friends now
and they ask me, giggling,
“Who do you have a crush on?
‘Oh, right,’ I think
remembering books
‘People talk about that sort of thing.’
So I pick at random.
He looks nice and I can make up stories about him.
Isn’t that what everyone else is doing?
(he moves away six months later
I’m happy I never had to kiss him.)

One of the other girls uses the word “hot”
I ask her what it means.
She says “You know” and giggles.
…I really don’t.

Why do people in movies always have to keep kissing?

My parents talk to me
about boys.

I can read books myself now.
People are still kissing.
I still don’t like it.
I miss Aidan at school
because no one else will play tag with me.

Aidan and I are going to get married someday.
We’ll have a trampoline and five dogs
I kiss him on the cheek.
He kisses me on the cheek.
I think we’ll have a wedding without kissing
But lots of cake!

I don’t like kissing stories.
Mom says I will when I’m older.

My parents are planning to support their child
no matter what gender they like to kiss.
They never do realize that ‘none of the above’ is an option.

“Am I old enough now?”

Saw crispystar theory which reminded me of something I drew awhile back.

✋🏻 Hands in Witchery ✋🏻

You’re magick, you control magick, and you’re hands are so often used in witchery, but hands can be used as tools, too!

Our fingers have so much symbolism that we don’t even think about! We flip people off, point with our index fingers, place our wedding rings on our left ring finger, give thumbs up for a job well done, and many more!

What I suggest is, and something I’ll be doing, is if you’re a witch who uses jewels, wear a corresponding gem ring on each finger for anytime magickal uses. At home, at work, at school, or at a friend’s house!

Please credit my blog if using any of these as part of a spell or witch tip.

Finger Tattvas- Ring and Finger Symbolism

If one is right handed, the right hand is considered your active or giving hand and the left, your passive or receiving hand. If left handed, this is reversed.

Index finger

Wearing a ring on this finger on the active hand is known to boost self-esteem, confidence, and great leadership qualities. On the passive hand, it signifies accepting the leadership of others. If you lack self-confidence, wear a ring on the index finger of your active hand.

The best suitable stones to wear for enhancing confidence are blue topaz, amethyst and lapis lazuli.

Middle finger

The middle finger represents values and responsibilities. A ring worn on this finger indicates that the wearer takes life seriously and knows the difference between right and wrong. If worn on the passive hand, it can indicate that the wearer needs to be seen as serious and responsible. The best stones to wear on the active hand for personal grounding and balance are moonstone and rose quartz.

Ring finger

A ring on this finger on the active hand enhances the ability to impart creativity to others and bring out the best in them. On the passive hand - for many people, this is their wedding finger - a ring brings creativity, which can be used to overcome challenges - an ideal skill for any marriage!

If single, a gold ring with coloured stones worn on the passive hand will invite passion.

On the active hand, it signifies the wearer to be an exceptional negotiator with excellent abilities in expressing themselves. It can also be an indication of sexual availability or curiosity! On the passive hand, it shows a fantastic listener and strong intuition.

The best stones to help with communication (on the passive hand) or intuition (on the active hand) are amber, citrine and moonstone.

A ring on the thumb on the active hand is indicative of asserting your will over others. On the passive hand, you may be easily led by others. If you need to be more assertive, wear a narrow silver ring on the active hand.

The best stones to wear to combat gullibility (on the passive hand) are garnet, ruby, and carnelian.

No rings

If you dislike rings or never wear them, you are a free spirit. You tend to be impulsive, don’t like to be tied down, and take each moment as it comes.

More than one ring

You may find that their energies balance or cancel each other out! Just as what clothes you choose to wear are governed by your mood, allow your intuition to guide you as to which rings worn on which fingers will be most helpful to you that day.

A ring on every finger:

People who wear rings on every finger at once may have difficulty in getting organised or making decisions. They can also be a little eccentric or enjoy being in the spotlight!

Jensen Ackles & Daneel Ackles

Y’know, I always think about Jensen and Daneel when the time comes. It’s somehow really fascinating.

There are SO MANY fangirls and women and other girls (even guys maybe) who want to be with Jensen. Who wants Daneel’s place in J’s life. But at the end of the day, he belongs to her and she to him. They made vows. Promises, to each other. And it’s really amazing how their marriage is so strong after all those pictures he takes and all those scenes he acts in with other women and what not.

I know Jared has the same problem, but somehow, I’m more focused on Jensen. At the end of the day, the ring of Jensen’s finger is a symbolization of his wife’s and his love. At the end of the day, he makes it clear that he belongs to Daneel. Sure, it breaks some hearts but it’s really sweet, guys.

You can’t tell me, having a husband that so hot and gorgeous and sweet and loving and nice, kind and funny isn’t heaven. But the real jig is, him flaunting you. Him saying at the end of the day that you’re his. Him making it clear that you’re the only girl in his life to wear his ring.

My point is, there are so many girls who love and drool over Jensen. And all of them are good looking too. But no matter what happens, he always goes back home to his family. To his wife. To his Daneel.
