Don’t let anything stand between you and where you’d like to go. Push passed all obstacles as you head towards the direction of your dreams. Even if you don’t know exactly where that may be, go where your heart leads you.

May clouds lift you, and
stars guide a safe passage.
I send my love and pray
it reaches you in time.
I could not lighten the burden
this world had on your shoulders.
And I was never there when the
weight began to take its toll.
For that, I am sorry.
I am sorry for the years
it’s taken me to understand
what you’ve done for me.
What you’ve sacrificed.
I am sorry for not loving you more.
But sometimes you can’t see just how
lucky you are to have met such a person,
until you lose them. And I’m not trying
to make excuses, I am in the wrong.
But I’m just saying I didn’t know how
much I took for granted until it was gone.
And I am much too late now, but
this is me, trying to find some sort
of peace of mind; perhaps for the both
of us. I hope you get this before you go.
As human beings, we can often be hardest critics. We tend to look our flaws and mistakes and constantly toil with what we should’ve done differently, how we can be better, or what’s wrong with us. Even though it’s great to want to improve, it’s not healthy at all to start looking to ourselves for the strength to pick how ourselves back up. This only comes from the Lord.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. -Isaiah 40:29
As the children of God are being reminded in Isaiah 40, we must remember this to be true for our lives too: it is God who gives us strength. There is no amount of things we can tell ourselves or criticize ourselves of that will solve the issues in our lives. It is only the strength we reason from His Spirit through a relationship with Jesus.
So say goodbye to beating yourself up over the reasons why you’re single, or why you haven’t found the right job, or why your business hasn’t taken off, or why you can’t seem to find a peace of mind lately. Yes, we are all sinners, make our own decisions in life, and have to take responsibility for our actions, but the strength to keep going and the grace that we need to get back up after we have fallen comes from what God gives alone!
If you’re feeling like you can’t get past a feeling or a flaw or anything else in your life, remember to look to the Lord. He’s the One who is going to build you up when you’re tearing yourself down. He’s the One that is going to continue to breathe life into you when others have tried to tear you down too. Take courage! God is with you and because of that, there is no reason to face your battles on your own. Even when it comes to something as small as feeling embarrassed after you sent someone a heartfelt text and they never responded, and even when you’re feeling insecure about the way you look, look to your Father. He will Life you up in all of this.
