As far as I’m concerned, Harry Styles has ONE job and that’s to entertain us. I don’t know about the rest of this strange fandom, but I have been *endlessly* entertained by him, especially in 2017. From getting to see him LIVE in person (still can’t believe that happened)…to watching him on an IMAX screen in a Christopher Nolan movie (and getting a piece of the film in a contest)…to getting a copy of Another Man from a kind soul…to finally finding Rolling Stone and buying all the copies the store had…to buying my daughter a pink sweatshirt I know she’ll LOVE for Christmas…to wearing our “Treat People With Kindness” shirts with my best teacher friend on twin day…right down to the VSFS appearance yesterday, there hasn’t been a single day of this year he hasn’t entertained me. So, well done, Harry Styles. You’ve given a fandom WAY more than we deserve. I think anyone who feels a need to bitch about what he owes us is a little unhinged.
Alternatively titled: How to Use Your Planner or How Organization and Discipline Will Get You Better Grades
This is my full guide on how to use your planner effectively and make sure that you are never missing deadlines or falling behind in classwork and homework. This is definitely more about the university level and works best with a dated planner, rather than a bullet journal. Let’s get started!
Get all of your syllabi together and write down dates. Go through one class at a time and mark down all of your major tests and assignment due dates. I recommend putting these dates into the monthly and weekly views, and perhaps coming up with a symbol or other indicator that tells you they are of utmost importance.
Make a weekly schedule of when to complete readings and do a weekly review of notes. Instead of trying to randomly decide when to do these things, assign a date for each task for each class. If you have a tutorial on Tuesday, do the assigned readings for it every Wednesday. I recommend scheduling one to two weekly tasks per day, and to leave a few days open, whether it be weekends or days when you have a lot of classes.
Make a master list of assignments. I find that sometimes, even having due dates in the calendar view isn’t enough, and they can still sneak up on you. The master list will be a good place to double check if you have any deadlines approaching easily.
In the week or so before a due date, create a checklist of smaller tasks needed to complete the assignment. Set individual due dates for each smaller task by working backwards from the due date. Smaller tasks may include finding sources, making an outline, writing a rough draft, and editing and adding references to create a final copy. Write the smaller tasks into your daily to-do list.
You can also do this with studying for tests, but the checklist would look slightly different. You could either sort by study method (first do flashcards, then do essay outlines, etc.) or sort by the topics you need to study.
Stick to the schedule you have made. Obviously, if something comes up and you need to move your to-do list around, do so! But if you aren’t doing anything and you see readings on your list of daily tasks.. do them. Having the plan set out like this makes it easier for you to remain disciplined.
Why use this method?
By creating a schedule for repeated weekly tasks like completing readings, you make sure that you can’t repeatedly push off smaller tasks until you are weeks behind. I don’t think it is very reliable to just will yourself to do readings, or to keep up with them without tracking it.
By writing down all of your due dates, you will never be shocked to find out something is due the night before. You will know and you will be prepared.
By creating smaller checklists of tasks to complete before a major test or assignment, you will never find yourself in a situation where you have an essay due in a few days and haven’t even started. You will be following a timeline and making sure you don’t have to rush.
I know this system may seem rigorous, but planning is the only way you can keep on top of your workload in university! Falling behind is a lot harder if you are organized and disciplined, and being on top of your workload will help you a lot when it comes to exam times… no cramming and all-nighters if you have been consistent all semester!
Major Discovery: BotW’s Adventure Log = Link’s Diary?!
At this point, our beloved game Breath of the
Wild has been out for around half a year already. If you have played the game,
you are probably very familiar with the Adventure Log feature in BotW that
helps you keep track of all your missions and side quests. Or else its pretty much impossible to remember if you were catching chickens for this guy or collecting weapons to show that kid who’s boss.
But here’s the thing- Have you ever thought about the Adventure Log’s origin? Who or what
is helping Link keep track of his missions?
If your answer is the Sheikah Slate or the
“system”, which is what I’ve always thought, I’m gonna go ahead and assume you
own an European/American copy of the game. Because apparently, in the Japanese
version of the game, there is evidence that shows that LINK is the one who
wrote the adventure log to keep track of his own journey.
“Ok… So what?”
So Link wrote the Adventure Log. Big deal. It’s
not like this is gonna change the gameplay in any way.
…True. However, Link didn’t JUST record his
missions in the Adventure Log. According to the Japnese version, Link would
often type up some of his own thoughts and comments on what he was doing aside
from his current objectives. This could give us a deeper insight of Link’s
Here’s an example:
This is what shows up after you complete The
Hero’s Sword quest. The content of the two versions are very similar, but notice
the use of “自分”
(myself) in pic 1. This is evidence that the adventure log is written by Link,
who’s talking about himself in first person narrative, instead of “the system”.
With that in mind, the Japanese version can be translated to:
Finally retrieved the legendary Master Sword. (I) Don’t know if it’s just an
illusion, but the sword itself seems to be delighted about this.
this moment, Princess Zelda is still inside Hyrule Castle, fighting to suppress
still holding on to the faith in me, believing that I will definitely come for
with the power (that I have) now, can she really be saved (by myself)…?
You see what they did there?
The English version replaced every first person pronoun Link has used with “you”!
As someone who owns an American copy, and has
never set the system language to Japanese, I was absolutely SHOCKED when I was
told about this (credits at the end).
Remember how we could find diaries of NPCs all
across Hyrule? Link’s was right under our noses this whole time!
Now that you know about this, does your
adventure log seem a bit different from before?
finished visiting all 13 of the locations in the old pictures. I remembered
everything I’ve been through together with Princess Zelda.
those memories (of mine), Princess Zelda always strived to complete the task
burdened onto her…
if it’s just a moment sooner, (I) want to save her as quickly as possible
want to see her smile again, with these eyes (of my own).
The translation on this one is just OFF. I
can’t believe the English version completely omitted the last part, and
replaced it with some kind of mission instruction.
Link has been fighting all this time to see
Princess Zelda’s smile again with his own eyes.
Not to mention those side quest logs. Once you
realize that all of the entries were written by Link himself, the seemingly
trivial information recorded in those suddenly opens up so many more hidden sides of
Link. It basically re-introduced Link as someone with normal human emotions
instead of the silent hero depicted throughout the game.
The caring Link, who was worried about a girl
he only met twice for putting herself in danger:
inside and found part of the Royal Guard’s Series, famous among equipment
those were shown to Parcy, the traveler at the stable, her curiosity about it
seem to be provoked more than ever (by me). (I) Hope she won’t do anything
Link, who felt glad for other peoples’ happiness:
sign of appreciation for bringing the town together and as compensation for the
work done (by me), a hefty amount of gems that were unearthed during the town’s
construction were given by Hudson (to me).
wish the couple could live happily ever after.
The reckless Link, who apparently felt thrilled
when he managed to knock out some monsters with his new companion:
captured the giant horse in Taobab Grasslands
that’s why. It’s indeed a really big horse. It trampled whatever kind of
monster in its way with ease when it galloped. That was really cool.
it was brought back to Straia (by me), he was very surprised.
Link the foodie, who carefully noted down new
recipes he learned along the way for future use:
brought Kiana the goat butter and hearty blueshell snail required for cooking
seafood paella. She shared some of the dish (with me) as thanks!
The playful Link, who tried to mimic the way
Gorons speak- by adding “goron” at the end of every sentence- after he passed
the Test of Will and became one of the bros:
(I) kinda want to write down Kabetta’s Bro Motto, but there’s not enough space goron?
too bad goron…
The empathetic Link, who felt nervous for the
guy in this side quest, then relieved when the couple finally got together:
The last line on the left is the Japanese
equivalent of What the heck…
I guess the statue is a bit too weird even for
our great adventurer.
Finally, we have the entry that shows up after
you complete the DLC trial:
conquered the merciless Trial of the Sword.
believe that) Princess Zelda would be quite happy about how much I’ve improved
As we all know, Breath of the Wild is a game
that focuses a lot on the freedom given to the players. Even the main story line
is broken down into the form of memories, waiting for the players to find. As
the players venture on into the wild, they would eventually find the
information they need to learn about this world. The amazing amount of details
you can find about Hyrule and its people is an important reason why BotW is so
On the contrary, the info available about our
protagonist is very limited. The only piece of description that directly
describes Link is in Zelda’s diary, where she points out that he is a very
quiet person, and that’s it for our hero.
Link had always had the most extensive
character description. Right under our noses.
Nintendo got us. They got us GOOD.
But now we know.
SIX months after the game’s launch.
…Better late than never.
P.S.: Fun fact about BotW Link- he seems to
like the sand seal game a lot. Of all the entires about racing minigames, the
sand seal game is the only one where Link wrote “(I’ll) try to get a better
score next time!”
He’s so adorable I can’t //////
Disclaimer: I did not discover this.
This discovery was made by a Chinese gamer @atomaruU about a week ago. To make sure that her theory
is correct, she cross referenced the English version of the game, only to
discover that the language is completely emotionless and robotic. Therefore, to
allow more people to see who Link REALLY is, I was asked to write this post
based on the Chinese article she published.

This is a post for comic book artists preparing
their pages for their publisher or colourist. I’m aware that many
pros still don’t know some of this stuff, often because the bigger
publishers have production teams who will take the incorrectly sized
or shaped pages and adjust them before passing on to colourists or
for print. However, this a) is giving more work to people that you
can easily do yourself and b) reduces the amount of control you have
over how your work is printed. It makes sense to provide files that
will present your work in the best way possible.
I feel so bad but i’m just sitting here cackling as my bestie is sending me increasingly exasperated texts about her students’ first research paper (1 page long lol). Like. Despite having deadlines for each stage of research and writing, one kid emailed her at 7:45 pm for the final 10 pm deadline with a question about “resurch.” Multiple kids have plagiarized their papers, one of whom didn’t even bother changing the font or the color of the sections he copied and pasted. One girl just cited a fucking fanfiction story as one of her sources.
Middle schoolers are so precious, but god they can be so stupid too. Darling children lol
Kasi and me had been joking about getting teamed together and when it actually fucking happened I couldn’t believe my eyes, couldn’t believe I’d actually have that much luck (…didn’t help that I read the mail at 3 am on a work night, rip).
This feels less like a collab and more like a very special, loving gift by Kasi to me.
(I might just say it’s a love letter, cause I’m a sap)
(I ONLY JUST REALIZED I’M COPYING THE TITLE, this genuienly is so special to me, I might as well treat it as your personal love letter to me. The possum lounge can be our landfill 💘)
Summary: It had endured centuries on earth, indulging selfishly in Its desires, never once blinking at Its monstrous ways. Your arrival into Its existence warped the both of you into an emotional chaos of white-hot lust and desire, throwing the both of you into never a ending poignant rollarcoaster of longing and unattainable sensual tranquility.
The clock was ticking. It couldn’t bring Itself to leave you, yet It couldn’t bring Itself to stay either. It hated this love, It hated this lust, It hated this desire, and most of all, It hated that It didn’t hate you.
Author’s Note: Critique is welcomed. This is the first fic I’ve written in ages. Apologize for any typos or grammar mistakes, I swear I proofread this three hundred times. Typos will be the death of me. I tried. The next two chapters will be posted within a couple of hours. I may or may not have accidentally written 20K+ words of this fic before posting. Whoops. Enjoy!
Words: 5.1K +
Warnings: Very gory. NSFW content. Very sexual. Lots of clown sex. You know, the usual.
The first time It had tasted you was where it began. It had sunk Its teeth into your skin, every intention of getting a quick, juicy meal out of your body. Its eyes rolled to the back of Its head, the endless row of gums and fangs spilling out from Its deformed excuse for a mouth, becoming more monstrous by the second. Your ears were ringing rapidly in your head and you were convinced your heart would burst from fear sooner than you would die from this grotesque being; the organ pounded against your chest like it was a cage, a desperate animal fleeting to escape, your breathing impossibly quick. It had you cornered, there was nowhere to run, and even if there was, the monster had made it clear that It was more than capable of using Its strength to stop you.
You knew one thing on this night; you were sure you were going to die.
first a small idea that came after a conversation with @furgemancs and @dancing-duo, so practically Abel have two plumage rolls after him; and how Abel met Buster for the very first time, into an abandoned teathre.
Abel finally meet @abey-angel, a very timid, smaller and weaker toon girl created a short time after he fleed and Joshua was fired from the studio -the organization didn’t wanted to repeat the same error with Abel and for that they needed a more weak toon to control better- When the studio failed and definitely closed, Abey passed under Joshua’s protective cares.
Over the last few semesters, I developed my own system of revising for exams. I’m a visual learner and writing things down in an organised way helps me loads. I posted pictures of my exam notes several times before (here, here, here, here) and I use this format for basically every class that requires an exam instead of an essay - so far: calculus 1, real analysis, maths education, english literature, and teaching german as a second language. Many people really liked this format, so here’s a step-by-step guide on how I do it!
blank A4 paper
one sheet of A4 grid paper
a black gel pen by Kyocera (you can use any pen, but it should have a somewhat fine tip and should dry easily)
Stabilo fine liners point88 (one or two matching colours per class)
a set square (imo that works better than a ruler)
a Faber-Castell 0.7 Grip 1347 pencil in 2B (you can use any pencil you like, but it should be HB or 2B because you need to erase it later)
lecture notes/slides, class notes, homework, basically any info that is necessary for the exam
Place the grid paper underneath the blank one. Make sure it doesn’t move when you write (if necessary, use paperclips to hold it in place).
Draw margins and aid lines (in pencil - you’ll erase these later). Measure them out so they’ll be the same on every sheet. I usually do approximately 1cm margins left, right, and bottom, 2.5cm margin at the top for title and subheading, and three columns: left one with a width of 6cm, middle one with 5cm, right one with 6cm and 0.5cm blank space between them. (The grid paper underneath will help.) You can also only make two columns - four columns is gonna be very hard though because that won’t leave you with much space.
Every time you have a list, bullet points, step-by-step guides etc, indent the bullets by another 0.5cm (draw another aid line for this). If you have sub-bullets, indent them another 0.5cm and so on.
I use colours for bullet points (the actual points /arrows /numbers/ whatever), important names, something that I’m defining, subheadings, and important dates.
Start writing your notes. Make them as condensed as you possibly can without leaving important points out. I try to go for one A4 page per lecture (aka around 28 powerpoint slides or more on one page), but sometimes I’ll also end up with two.
Use abbreviations for words you use a lot, e.g. “+” for “and”, “p.” for “problem”, “str.” for “strategies”, “lit.” for “literature” etc.
You can absolutely include important diagrams/graphs etc. Either print them out in the size you need or draw them by hand and in the colours you need. If it doesn’t fit in one column, spread it out over two columns and continue the separated columns underneath/above.
Make your bullet points mean something. Use numbers, arrows, flags, lowercase letters, uppercase letters, dots - each can have a different meaning. Are you writing something where the order is important (numbers)? Are you giving examples (dots)? Are you mentioning separate important key points (flags)?
I wrote my last summary page for maths education today and stopped the time - I needed 50 minutes for one lecture with 27 slides (new material because I hadn’t been there), including a small chocolate break.
4. Final Touches
Check if the ink has dried. Check again.
Carefully erase the pencil aid lines with a good eraser. make sure you don’t wrinkle the paper (unless you don’t care about that sort of stuff haha)
If you want to, you can highlight key words (or whatever you like).
Number your pages if you’ll write several. I always write down the number of the lecture (session 1, session 2 etc) in the subheading.
Optional, but I do it: Make a copy of your sheet that you carry around with you. Nothing is as frustrating as spilling coffee over your revision sheets. Put the original in a plastic sleeve and keep it in a folder or binder somewhere, and study/revise only with the copy. Especially useful if you have others quizzing you with your summaries and they don’t care if they rip/wrinkle/ruin them lmao
I hope this was somewhat informative! You can tweak it of course, depending on what class you have and what will be on the exam. I hope you’re having a nice weekend! :)
Hiii! Congrats on 6.4K followers:)!! If you have time could you maybe write a drabble about Draco running/working in a shop and Harry coming in to buy lots of things from him that he doesn't need because he has a huge crush? Thank youuu. Love your writing!:) 💜💜💜
Ah, thank you so much. Sorry it took me a few days to get to this request.
When Draco hears the bell chime above the front door he doesn’t even need to look up to know who it is. No one else comes into his shop this late. Potter is the only person he knows who would have the audacity to come into a bookshop at half past ten. Draco never mentions that before Potter started coming in he usually closed up shop by nine. He doesn’t need to know that Draco stays open every day in the hopes that he might come in.
Draco purposely looks down at the ledger in front of him, dipping his quill into the ink bottle in front of him and doodling in the margins in an attempt to appear busier than he really is.
“Sorry to bother you so late,” Potter mumbles and Draco is glad he has plenty of experience hiding his emotions because the smile that threatens to break out across his face would be a bit embarrassing.
“Potter you always bother me this late and we both know you aren’t remotely sorry.” When he looks up the other man is smiling at him. There are few snowflakes still clinging to his hair and his face looks flushed as if he’s run from somewhere. It’s only when Draco notices that Potter still has his Auror robes on that he realizes perhaps he has. He looks exceedingly handsome and Draco is especially grateful that he’s standing behind the counter because every day that Potter comes into his shop tests his patience more and more. He’s not sure how much longer he will be able to hold out before he does something that might be a bit foolish.
“I was…well that is…I was wondering if you might have a book for me.”
Draco snorts, setting the quill down and giving Potter a rather piercing look that makes Potter blush. Draco likes when he does that, it makes him look younger, or perhaps more his age anyhow. Draco thinks they probably both look a bit older than their twenty four years, but he likes the softness that crosses Potter’s face when he blushes or smiles. He tries really hard not to think about it more than is appropriate. “I always have what you’re looking for, Potter.”
“Are you sure about that?” he asks, and if Draco didn’t know any better he would almost swear Potter’s tone was flirting.
“Potter, I managed to track down the original copy of The Tales of Beadle the Bard, the Egyptian manuscript on tomb enchments, that rare copy of of third century druid magic and spells, and even that out of print muggle cookbook you wanted. Merlin only knows what you’re doing with such an odd collection of books but I have managed to find every single one you’ve asked for. I’m quite positive I’ll be able to find this one, so go ahead, what is it.”
When Draco finally looks up from his rant he nearly jumps because Potter is standing directly in front of him. He’s so surprised he wonders how he walked without meaning too until he realizes Potter must have climbed over the counter to get beside him. The other man is so close Draco has to close his eyes, only opening them when Potter’s words ghost across his skin as visceral as if he’d actually touched him.
“I’m looking for this book you see, someone told me it was a good read. It’s about this bloke who keeps going into this other blokes antique bookshop and buying books he doesn’t need to try and get his attention because he’s got an embarrassingly large crush on him and he isn’t sure how the other man feels.”
Draco wants to speak, really he does, but all that comes out is a squeak.
“Have you read it?” Potter asks, and Draco feels like his heart might actually explode out of his chest because Potter is so close he can see the smallest flecks of brown around the iris of Potter’s eyes, can see in excruciating detail the way it looks when Potter’s warm, pink tongue darts out to lick his lips.
“I..uh, I haven’t read that one.”
“Do you want to?”
It’s too much, Potter standing so close, looking at him with so much hope it nearly breaks him in half and Draco thinks fuck it, fuck self control and self preservation, fuck everything and especially fuck Harry fucking Potter. And then its Potter who squeaks because Draco does what he’s wanted to do for months and slams him back against the wall, nearly devouring him, except Potter doesn’t seem to be complaining he just arches up against him, sliding his hands into Draco’s hair and making sounds that Draco quite honestly thinks should be illegal.
When they finally pull apart Draco is more than pleased to see that Potter looks utterly wrecked. He coughs, rubbing his hand on his cheek and leaning forward until his forehead is pressed against Potter’s.
“On further reconsideration I think I might have that book you’re looking for…but it’s back at my flat. You’d have to come home with me, if you want.”
Potter grins, looking like he’s caught the snitch, and slides his hand down Draco’s back to pull him closer. “I definitely want.”
