finally got a chance to watch this

today marks the five year anniversary of the first time I ever watched an episode of fullmetal alchemist brotherhood and tbh I hated it at first. I should have stayed away like I wanted to. I should have stopped when I had the chance. Instead I chose a path of no return i faced god and walked backwards into fma hell

“It’s February 14th, Neil!”

Nicky was exasperated. It was obvious by the way he looked out of breath even though he was just standing there being rather noisey.

Neil scrunched up his nose. As much as he loved Nicky, he wouldn’t mind hearing him less right now.

“What’s your point, Nicky?”

The thing with Nicky, however, was that when you requested a straight answer, you instead got a show.

Act one of this show was apparently looking around at the rest of the foxes and proclaiming, “Can you believe this kid?!”

Andrew was coming from his appointment with Bee so wasn’t at the locker rooms yet for practice. Neil found himself silently hoping he would get there faster to shut Nicky up.

Usually everybody would just let Nicky go on his rant, half ignoring him and half egging him on. But when Neil looked past him, he realized that all the Foxes were actually paying attention. Their eyes were focused on Neil with a combination of pity, confusion, and general annoyance.

Nicky was making a huge fuss now, not actually getting to the point but rather going around it. “Of all the days to not know-”

But Matt cut him off. Which was odd, because Matt usually didn’t cut Nicky off.

“Neil….do you really not know what today is?”

Whipped…boyfriend!!!

“Boo!”

Y/N isn’t expecting for Harry to be surprised much, at least not for sneaking up on him.

“Y/N, love! I’ve missed ye’ so much, kitten!”

He tucks his phone into his back pocket before wrapping his arms around her waist and picking her up, a grin so wide and a feeling so comforting that nothing in the world could ruin the moment.

“Missed you loads, too, H!” She whispers into his hair, the feeling of his breath on her neck soothing her instantly.

Harry pecks at her neck before setting her back down, his eyes scanning over her every feature. His heart melts at the way she looks up at him, and when he sees her stand on her tip toes, he leans down to press his lips to hers.

It’s a playful exchange of kisses, with Y/N’s hands gripping at the sides of his printed shirt, and Harry’s large hands cupping her face. Kisses with open eyes and big stupid smiles. Kisses that don’t last longer than three second before their lips separate only to press together again. And in between them, Harry whispers ‘missed ye’ too much’ and ‘I love you’ in broken phrases.

Missed. Kiss. Ye’. Kiss. Too. Kiss. Much. Kiss.

He nudges his nose against hers lightly before pressing one last kiss to her forehead and wrapping an arm around her neck so it dangles over her shoulder as they begin to walk.

“Didn’t tell me ye’ were comin’ for a visit, love.”

Not that Harry minds, at all. He just would’ve liked to have been the first person she saw, not some random cabbie or whoever picked her up at the airport.

“Thought it’d be fun to pop by unannounced. Jeff pitched the idea after he overheard Mer talking to me over the phone. Said you could use a little company in that empty hotel room of yours.”

She bumps his hip with hers, giggling for a moment at the famous half smirk he gives her.

“Hm, well if tha’s why ye’ came here then I reckon we should get t’ tha’ empty hotel room, ehh?”

He’s stopped dead in his tracks, moving to stand in front of Y/N to look at her directly. And Harry can visibly see her tense up, the playful look she’d been sporting a few seconds ago gone.

“Y/N-” he begins, eyebrows furrowed into concern, only to be cut off.

“I’m sorry, H. I know it’s taking forever, but it’s just-” and she’s trying so hard not to disappoint him. She knows they’ve been dating far too long for intimacy not to be part of the relationship already, and it makes her mad that she can’t let herself love him in that way. Not because she doesn’t want to, she knows they’re meant to be together, she just doesn’t feel ready yet.

“No. No, kitten, you’ve got nothing t’ apologise for,” Harry’s hands rub at her upper arms soothingly, hoping to assure her that he’s okay with it, “m'not ever g'na rush this. I want ye’ t’ be sure when the time comes that you want it as much as I do.”

“But I know that it’s frustrating and-”

“-and m'g'na wait as long as I’ve got t’. M'not g'na love ye’ less b'cos of it. Jus’ wan’ ye’ t’ be sure, love.”

He gives her that smile. That toothy smile that can make all their problems fade into nothing. And so she smiles, too.

“Tha’s m'girl.”

***

“Well would ye’ look at this lovely picture.”

A 'wuh-PSSSH’ sound follows the comment, a voice too familiar not to notice.

“Still whipped, mate?”

Harry just smiles, unwrapping his arm from around Y/N to stand up and greet his friend in a proper hug.

“Oh, look at this,” Y/N can hear Harry coo before she’s even got the chance to slip out of the booth they’re currently sat at, “Freddie’s here!”

And to say he completely disregarded Louis at this point would be an understatement, he might as well be invisible now.

Harry stretches his arms out, and Louis complies at letting him hold his one year old.

“Nice t’ see ye’ too, Harry. I’ve been great, thanks mate.”

Harry pays the sarcasm no mind as he sets the baby on his hip, and instead smiles and coos at Freddie who looks up at him with happy eyes.

“Don’t worry, did the same to me earlier.” Y/N laughs at the thought of Harry having left her side with out a second thought to hold who she came to find out was an adorable little baby girl named Ruby.

Louis welcomes her into a hug, whispering a low 'outta have kids then’ in her ear.

And that warms her heart. To think that one day, she’ll be lucky enough to welcome a lovely little human that’ll be a mix of her and Harry, she honestly can’t wait. But now she feels even more guilty.

But Harry smiles at her adoringly, baby Freddie in his arms chuckling and trying to grab at Harry’s short but now longer hair.

“I see you two are still disgustingly sweet as usual,” Louis comments.

Just the way Harry looks at you, it’s unreal and anyone who knew you both would swear you were meant for each other, even before either of you realised it. And that’s exactly what your friends thought. Seeing Harry look at you the way he did at the many dinners and house parties everyone would gather for definitely added to those thoughts.

And you two have been practically inseparable ever since New York. You were glad Harry had gathered up the courage to find you that night, don’t know if you’d be in this position if he hadn’t. You were glad he was hell bent on not leaving that hotel room until things were cleared up because “really miss m'best friend. Tell me wha’ I did so I can fix it, kit'en.” And you were glad he’d said those three words that solidified the fact that he was there to make sure you were his, even though you had been all along.

“Will be. So long as this one will have me,” the press of Harry’s lips to Y/N’s has Louis grunting in pretend distaste.

“Better get going, don’ wanna interrupt Harry still being whipped.”

Harry hands Freddie over with a pout.

“Still no complaints though.”

***

To say everything is going perfect would be an understatement. Harry’s music is being praised and appreciated and Y/N can’t explain how happy it makes her that Harry’s happy. His performances are nothing short of amazing, and she loves seeing him gush over “they were singing along, babe! Just a great feelin’!”

She’s been flying back and forth along his side during all this. New York, London, Paris, and then back to New York. And Harry loves sharing this with her. He loves having her watching him from the side lines, singing along as she claps and gives him thumbs up and blows kisses at him for support. He loves getting off stage with so much adrenaline and kissing her so hard because Harry doesn’t take anything for granted, no. He’s thankful he’s getting to do what he loves and even more with his better half by his side.

“A'right. How do I look?” His jazz hands and that big smile plastered on his face are indication of just how hyped he is for this.

“I’ve never seen anyone pull off black better than you, H!”

And it’s true. Harry can pull off any colour. Blue, red, yellow, pink; you name it! But black. Black gives him a sexy sort of mysterious sophistication.

“Think so?” He looks himself over in the mirror, content at his choice.

Y/N looks at him through the mirror from where she’s sat on the couch of his dressing room, nodding a yes as she gets up to stand on the furniture.

“Please no stage diving today?” She’d be all for it, if it weren’t for the fact that he’s already tried it and it didn’t go as planned. She really doesn’t want him or any of the fans getting injured.

Harry only chuckles and nods in embarrassment as he strides over to stand in front of her, his head tilting up just a bit to look at her since she’s standing on the cushions.

“M'serious, Harry!” But she smiles anyway, arms lazily slung over his shoulders and around his neck. She brings a hand to tug at the hairs at the nape of it as Harry sets his at either side on her hips, thumbs rubbing at her hipbones.

It’s the last listening party before the album is released, and Harry’s pretty sure the second he mentions stage diving, Jeff will have him pulled off stage. Or carried because it is Jeff after all.

“I’ll try not to, kit'en.” Harry doesn’t know why it was a good idea to do it in the first place. But he had all that adrenaline and he was just so excited. Y/N of course had scolded him and slapped his arm after he got off stage because, “you could’ve broken something Harry!!” But he’d kissed the small amount of anger away.

“I’ll be watching from the sides?” Every time before a performance or an interview she says that, and every time she does Harry smiles just as big.

***

“Congrats, Ni!!!!!”

Finally, after a few months of all the boys doing their own thing, everyone’s finally got a chance to gather up at a small venue for Harry’s pre-launch party. Jeff had asked Y/N for help in terms of invitees, and it’d be outrageous not to have Liam, Niall, and Louis attend.

And so Niall is the last to arrive, and the moment he walks through the door, a very tipsy Y/N can’t contain her excitement at finally reuniting with another one of her friends.

“Oí, have enough drinks for the rest of us have ya?” Niall just about tumbles back with the sudden weight of her body as she throws herself at him, but he catches her in his arms and steadies her.

“You’re late mister,” she’s slurring just a bit, words somewhat coherent.

“Does 'arry know you’re drunk??”

He wraps an arm around her waist for support, in fear that she might be too over her head to even walk with out tripping and falling.

“Drunk? M'not drunk,” she pokes at his chest, and Niall only now notices the red cup in her hand threatening to spill over his shirt, “you’re just sober.”

He lets out a lively laugh. Drunk Y/N is something else, and he’s only ever seen her like this when Harry’s not really paying attention to her.

She hiccups and continues with a pout, “he’s over somewhere. With some girl,” she motions her hand around and nowhere in particular, again, the drink sploshing around in the red cup.

Harry hadn’t meant to leave her alone, he’d been pulled away from her side by someone he can’t even recall the name of, because that’s how out of it he is. So he’s been handed drink left and right, downing them with out retaliation because he doesn’t wanna seem like a downer. And although he really should go find his Y/N, he doesn’t think she’d mind if she’s having fun too.

But she’s not. At least not as much as she’d like. All she wants is for Harry to kiss her and hold her hand, because they’re both affectionate drunks, and it’s always a plus to annoy their friends in that way. But she hasn’t seen him in a while. Last she caught a glimpse was about an hour or so ago, when he was being led over to a group of people she doesn’t really recognise, and it made her notice how out of it she is. She doesn’t remember inviting half the people in the room, but the little attention Harry seems to be giving her has her drinking with out a purpose.

It reminds her of when they were only friends. In the same circumstance, she’d drink the night away in hopes of erasing the imagine of Harry smiling wide, eyes crinkled because some girl was whispering god knows what in his ear. He’d be hunched over just a bit to give the girl better access as she mumbled and giggled. And Harry would nod slightly before moving to whisper something back, face too close to her liking. But it, too, was always nothing, because shortly after she would have to turn away. Try to hide the fact that yes, she might have been staring at Harry for much longer than she’d ever admit to. And when he’d catch a glimpse of her doing just the same with a guy, giggling and whispering and smiling like crazy, he’d make his way over. Weaving his way around dancing bodies to get to her. And he’d smile that drink infused crooked smile of his before whispering something like “let’s get ye’ home, pet,” and leading her out of the place with his palm to her lower back.

So yeah, this sort of reminds her of old times. Only this time, they’re actually dating and he’s nowhere to be found.

***

Harry doesn’t remember getting home. He doesn’t remember taking of his clothes either.

In fact, the last thing he remembers is Y/N kissing at his neck and tugging at his pants.

And..oh no. If that’s how…if they were both drunk and-ah shit! Neither of them were suppose to be drunk when it finally happened. Harry wanted to make sure she would be okay with everything going on. He would have wanted to whisper how good she was taking him. Wanted to assure her that he was there with her, that all he wanted was to make her feel good. Harry just wanted to make love to her the right way.

And now he doesn’t even remember half the night.

So he bring his hand over his face, because not only does he not remember, he also doesn’t recognize the room he’s woken up in.

And then he looks beside him at the body under the white sheets.

He doesn’t recognize the person he’s woken up next to.

That’s not his Y/N.

Her Running Away From Them but Them Finding Her: BTS

I’m not responsible for any nosebleeds, hyperventilations, or heart attacks associated with this reaction. Thank you.

Jin:

After having enough of the troubles that came together with his bothersome occupation, you had tried to run away, packing all of your things in the middle of the night while he was on one of his raids. You sincerely hoped that with this, he won’t ever find you, even leaving him a small note to say how sorry you felt and that he shouldn’t try and look for you anymore. Unfortunately, you were wrong in your calculations and didn’t even have enough time to get to the airport before a black sedan drove to your side and forced you down into one of the leather seats, where SeokJin already waited for you.

“Love, I seriously hope that you didn’t believe in any chance of escaping.”

Suga:

When he confessed you of his occupation, you knew from then on that your relationship won’t last for much longer, since you were never a person that liked danger and adrenaline, settling for the more quiet prospects of life. And true to your word, you decided to leave the man with no calls or mesagges, simply disappearing after your trip to a shopping mall.

A day passed, then another, and there was no sign of YoonGi even realizing that you were gone. You nearly danced in glee, thinking that you got off easy from the dangerous man. Only that you didn’t; which you realized after a phone call.

“I’m giving you another week of free time, and on a Sunday, I expect your ass to be back home. Understood?”

J-Hope:

After the break-up with your infamous boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend, you had decided to start your life anew, though it wasn’t much of a likeable decision, but more like a must. HoSeok was against you two breaking up, so the reality of situation was that you ran away from him, and were now hiding, travelling the country after working in diners for a month or two, collecting enough money to move towns. It was not the best decision, but it was better than staying with somebody who did murder for his career. Of course, what you didn’t know was the fact that through his gory work HoSeok had loads of powerful connections, tracking you down easily.

Getting to your new job, one early morning, you were struck speechless as the man you were trying to avoid so dearly was sitting there, just there, eating his breakfast, completely concentrated on his food and not even seeing you. Or so you thought, so you tried to run away again, only to be stopped by his voice.

“Where do you think you’re going, this time?”

Rap Monster:

This man, even before you knew he was a gang leader, was giving you the shivers with his harsh glare. After you found out what was his occupation, however, everything clicked in your head and you instantly swung your tail under, leaving him be with all your stuff still at his place.

You decided to stay at a friend’s place for a couple of days, before renting a cheap place for yourself. Yeah, didn’t think so. NamJoon found you quickly, knocking on your friend’s door so harshly that it nearly flew off of its hinges, leaving you scared speechless, pale from shock and nearly hyperventilating.

As your friend let him in, you had trouble carrying his strong gaze. “You’re like an undisciplined dog. Running away from your owner just like that. I’m taking you home and putting a collar on that pretty neck of yours; try running away again, and we’ll see what happens.”

JiMin:

You knew that JiMin will find you quickly, it was like hide and seek for him; just a game, but you were still going to try; what if you succeeded? However, your positivity soon came to a halt as you noticed your cards being blocked, police occasionally knocking on your door, as they were reported of were noises and smells coming from your place. Your life, albeit slowly, was becoming a living nightmare.

The final drop were the photos of your friends sent to your post, though they were from far away distance. It terrified you, just the thought of any of them getting harmed and you being at fault was sending your stomach on to a task of a billion somersaults.

You had to come back, and you had to do it quick, or else who knows what might happen to the people you cherished.

“That didn’t take too long, now, Baby… I was expecting a better chase from you…”

V:

TaeHyung had always been a clingy man, add to that formula the fact that he was also in a gang and you’ll get a completely undesirable man. Those were the reasons why you left him; he didn’t you give any room to breathe and he scared you to the bone.

Occasionally, you still felt him everywhere you went. While sleeping, you felt his hands snake around your form, whispering in your ear incognitive sentences. You could hardly sleep, leaving you exhausted and beyond repair.

Your friends, being the good buds that they were, invited you to an art museum, to help you to relax while spending time in your favourite environment. Oh, how thankful you were for that. Only when you were finally there did you realize what a bad decision to come it was.

The familiar hands snaked around your body, pressing you against his lean build. “Long time no see, Love.” he had whispered into your ear. You knew then, that there will be no chance of escape ever again.

JungKook:

After you left his house, JeongGuk came out with a brilliant plan hot to slowly drive you insane, setting it into motion as soon as he got the word of you finally finding a permanent place to live in.

He appeared before your eyes from day to day, waving at you, or smiling cutely, not doing anything above that. He knew what that did to you; you were slowly becoming sick with the idea of being stalked- by him. That was fun, to watch you squirm everyday just from seeing him. He knew it won’t take much longer before you’d come back to him in hysterics, begging him to stop, but just when you’d step through his threshold, you’d never step out again.

So much weirdness is going on in this picture

Jaebum showing us how he got that back injury while snowboarding in Guatemala “and then I just slipped like this argh…. are you even listening guys?”

Bambam well… he’s just f*cking the floor. Someone give this kid a Valium.

Youngjae mimicking Jaebum’s sloppy body rolls after 3 shots of tequila, while laughing like a horse.

Mark about to give Yugyeom what he needs, but instinctively turning over on all fours as he sees Jackson approaching

Yugyeom ready to jump on Mark but getting choked by Jinyoung in the process

Jinyoung grasping his chance to finally end Yugyeom and make it seem like an accident now that everyone is watching Bambam fucking a floor

and lastly-

Jackson ACTING LIKE THE ONLY NORMAL PERSON

Well there you go if that ain’t the weirdest shit you’ve seen today I’m fucking a floor.

DannyMay Day Twenty Five: Aliens/ Cryptids

Smile - Jughead x Reader

Request — Can you do a jughead x reader where the reader is very shy but has a huge crush on jughead? Then she walks by and sees in a window Betty and jughead kissing then she runs away? Thanks, I’ve had this in my mind for so long ♡

A/N — I am so happy to write this request as I have been meaning to write something similar for a while, yet again I changed it up a bit. Also, I’m at 100 followers so thank you guys for supporting me and my writing. Also I’m down a couple tags since the buzz lately is everyone getting Bughead smut in tags like Reggie or Thornhill, shit like that, so I’m sticking to the tags that matter to Jughead. Anywho, I hope you enjoy this imagine because I have a feelings it’s going to be adorable as heck.

Words: 1310

Warnings: None

(Y/N) , (E/C) , (H/C) , (S/C) — Your name, eye colour, hair colour, skin colour.

You sat on the bleachers at the Riverdale Bulldog’s first game of the season. You held your camera in your gentle small hands, watching the intense football game as high school heart throb, Archie Andrews, got the crowd’s attention as he was a fan favourite. (Y/N) waited patiently for the half time cheerleader show to start in just a few minutes, as it was her job working for the Blue and Gold as the yearbook photographer, she took the chance to grab some photos.

That Autumn night was chilly, as the students clung onto their coats and scarves, baring the weather to come and support the game. Finally the half time show arrived, the River Vixen’s ran onto the field with their leader, Cheryl Blossom, front and centre. You sat up from your seat, squeezing through the rows of crowded people to get down to the front of the stands. The camera strap slung over (Y/N)’s shoulder as she managed to finally get down, bumping into someone. Unaware of her surroundings, she had the close call of almost dropping her beloved camera, but luckily that figure caught it in time to shatter. And that figure happened to be her ultimate crush, Jughead Jones.

“That was a close one.” Jughead chuckled as he looked down at the camera before staring straight into your (E/C), making your knees easily give in. She was so shy whenever she was around him, she didn’t know what to do or more importantly what to say whenever she had the chance.

“T-Thanks, Jug,”  was all she managed to blurt out to stop herself from rambling on with anxiety. And then the unthinkable happened, she quickly propped up her camera into her hands as she looked through the lens which aimed straight at Jughead. “Smile!” Jughead blinked a couple times, getting use to the sudden flash that caught him. (Y/N) quickly slung her camera over her shoulder, a red blush spreading brightly over her (S/C) complexion. “S-Sorry. Uh, yearbook features, y’know,” she awkwardly chuckled. “Speaking of which, I gotta go!” She flashed Jughead a quick smile before turning away, just when Jughead laid a hand on her shoulder, stopping her.

I didn’t know you did photography until I saw your camera. Maybe one time you could show me whenever I’m in home room or at the Blue and Gold.” Jughead suggested, making you pause a couple seconds to just soak in what she just witnessed. ‘Jughead Jones literally just asked to see my photo’s, is this real?’ Is what she thought to herself.

Uh, s-sure. Yeah, I-I guess so. Um, I gotta go and take more p-photos… bye.” She once again awkwardly said before this time getting the chance to run away, leaving Jughead staring at her before breaking into a cheeky smile and walking off.

Later that week, (Y/N) was sitting at the computer uploading her photo’s from the game for the yearbook. One picture really captured her eye, and that was Jughead’s. Although it caught him by surprise, the photo turned out to be quite photogenic. He still managed to look perfect as always, yet half of his face was covered by his hand blocking the flash from my camera. Suddenly she heard the sound of a door opening. First reaction: hide. She had no thoughts about minimising her computer tabs and ran to hide behind the couch, as the door swung open with a very anxious Betty Cooper and concerned Jughead Jones making an entrance. (Y/N) noticed that Betty had something on her mind as she paced around in the same spot for a couple seconds.

“I don’t know what to do, Jug. There’s so much going on, my parents, the Blue and Gold, Jason’s murder. I-I don’t know what to do.” Betty closed her eyes, taking a deep exhale out. You peeked out from behind the couch from the side, watching as Jughead stood there staring at Betty. Betty opened her eyes to find Jughead staring straight at her.

“What?” He just kept staring, Betty now slightly getting a bit agitated. “..What?” Suddenly Jughead cupped Betty’s cheeks and kissed her softly. That’s how easy it is to break a heart. (Y/N) quickly yet quietly turned back sitting against the back of the couch, closing her eyes as she quietly sobbed into her sleeve as the tears started rolling down her cheeks. She heard their lips finally pull away which felt like forever, then a door once again closing. Your sniffled quietly, wiping your tears away as you finally stood up, turning around to find a speechless Jughead standing right there staring at the photo you took of him. You bit your lip to stop your tears from shedding yet again, running over to the computer as you closed the tabs, Jug placed his hand right back on your shoulder.

“(Y/N)… what’s wrong?” He asked concerned for your sake now, staring deep into your red puffy eyes.

“What’s wong? W-What’s wrong? What’s wrong is the fact that I just had my heart shatter for a boy I never had a chance with at all.” (Y/N) yelled at him, before grabbing her bag and storming out the room.

You let your grieve last your for another week. You stood at your locker in the famous Riverdale hallways, placing your books into your locker along with the rest of your belongings. All that was in your mind was that picture of Jughead kissing Betty. That’s a photo she couldn’t erase. She rested her head against the locker next to her, soon interrupting her daydream as someone cleared her throat. She closed her locker door to find a sad Jughead appear in front of her.

“Can we talk?” Jughead asked, almost in a whisper. His blue eyes pierced into yours as he watched you fiddling with the sleeve of your sweater. You just shrugged, but shortly after nodded. “About last week, and what you said… d-did you really mean it? I mean, I have no feelings for Betty whatsoever. I freaked out and didn’t know what to do to make her stop freaking out, s-so I just kissed her.” (Y/N) sighed, still not persuaded enough. “Hey um, I don’t know if you noticed, but I think you left behind last week something important.” He then dug his hand into his satchel, pulling out your camera. With all the emotions hitting you at that time, you must of not looked back to notice that you forgot your camera still hooked up to the computer. You took your camera from his hands, turning it on to make sure all your photos were still there.

“I-I saw your photos of me.” At the mention, your heart sunk once again as you looked up at them. “And I think they’re wonderful. In fact.” He paused, taking out his own camera, turning it on and turning it to face you, many photos of you taking photo’s at the Bulldog’s game that night displayed on his. You never noticed that Jughead brought a camera to the game, you thought he only went to go and judge. “I-I thought you looked beautiful that night, I just had to.” And like that, your frown turned into a smile.

“Hey, I-I was wondering if you wanted to go to Pop’s after school? On a d-date?” You asked shyly, but it earned another cheeky smirk from Jughead.

I’ll walk you there, meet me near the bus stops.” He blushed, before putting his camera back in his satchel, slowing leaning down to your height to place a kiss on your cheek before walking away. You shortly after found yourself standing against your locker, eyes closed with the biggest, goofiest, smile on your face.

A/N — I hope you enjoyed this imagine and it was hopefully like you wanted it to be in a way? Also, my laptop has decided to fuck up suddenly so I might have to wipe my whole laptop and start again because all the settings and everything is locked and I cannot access important files for school and stuff like that, so that might mean I won’t keep up to date with the requests in order for a bit until I get everything settled. Anyway, I hope all of you guys are well and are having a lovely day!

There will be a part 2 later today!!!! Maybe even a part 3 in the future!

You love your job, plain and simple. You were probably one of the few people who had the pleasure of saying that but it was true. Sometimes things got a little heated but you were more than equipped to handle just about any situation tossed your way. You had just dealt the halfway mark of the current blackjack game at the casino you worked at. It was a table full of testosterone to say the least. One guy is burly with tattoo sleeves down both arms, definitely someone to steer clear of in any kind of hostile situation, the next is a bit smaller than him and drop-dead gorgeous. He’s slightly built and has the most stunning green eyes you have ever seen and every now and then you catch those eyes travelling up and down your physique; what’s visible due to the waist high blackjack table that is. You catch yourself having to fight a smile back every now and then whenever he looks up at you and sends you a flirty wink or two. Casino rules and expectations can be very tricky and the wrong hand gesture or facial expression can throw up red flags, cheating was severely frowned upon and anyone was a suspect.

I watched as Jeff made his way to me jumping on the barrier so he was closer to me, he motioned me to him and I shyly got up moving to him, this was a usual encounter for us but I was still wary about what he had said.

Opening Night (Lin-Manuel x Reader)

HAHAHA WOW OKAY

so here’s this story, i’m not going to put a “read more” option, because the last two times i’ve done that, it’s derped really hard, so you’re just going to have to scroll, sorry. also sorry for mistakes, i’ve been writing this for like 5 hours straight i’m pretty out of it

Prompt: “I don’t want to do this, not without her”

Pairing: Lin Manuel Miranda x reader

Warnings: A little bit sad at one point, terrible cliches

Word Count: 3,260 (hahaha sorry)

Three years before opening night

The usually quiet coffee shop was incredibly crowded, and you sighed before getting in line, reluctant to trade the comfort of familiarity for a shorter wait somewhere else might offer. So you waited and paid for the drink, pocketing your change while your eyes skimmed the tables and rested on a small, empty one in the corner. Once you were settled and had your laptop in front of you, you began to relax.

New York was very different than where you were from. The soaring buildings and chaotic streets made you nervous at first, but after a few months, they were oddly comforting, and you often found yourself smiling for no particular reason as you would weave your way through the crowded sidewalks on the way to school and work. You were a secretary for a large company, and although the job was simple and enjoyable enough, it was only to help you finish your degree in music. You’d been searching for a more practical career your entire life, but it had been last year when it hit you that everything you did led back to music anyways, so why not pursue it? So here you were in New York–lost and confused with very few friends and not a lot of money, but for what felt like the first time since graduating high school, you were living.

You looked up from your laptop as someone cleared their throat. A dark-haired man was standing in front of you, a coffee in his hands and a smile on his face. “Do you mind if I sit here? I promise I won’t be much bother.”

“No problem. It’s pretty crowded today.” You pulled your bag onto your side of the table and out of the stranger’s way.

As he settled, he pulled a laptop from his bag and placed it on the table across from yours. “My name’s Lin.”

“I’m (Y/N),” you offered, a smile slipping onto your face as you bit your tongue and turned back to you work. If there was one thing you’d learned about New Yorkers, it was that they were usually in some sort of rush, and rarely in the mood to talk while in public.

You continued to work in silence until your coffee was gone, and even then you stayed. For some reason, you couldn’t make yourself get up and walk away from this man. So you kept stealing glances any chance you got. Whenever you almost worked up the willpower to leave, his eyes would squint in concentration, or he would chuckle to himself, or bite his lip, and you’d be glued to the seat once again.

It had been almost an hour of watching him and pretending to work when he finally spoke. “Sorry, don’t want to interrupt, but can you think of anything that rhymes with ‘satisfied’?”

His question caught you off guard. “Uh… Cyanide?”

Lin’s eyes shot up to meet yours and a laugh escaped his lips. “That’s great, but I don’t think it quite fits with the story.”

“So what is the story?” you challenged, determined to help him find a word that fit.

He looked back down at his screen. “You really don’t want me to get started.”

“I have all day,” you lied, thinking of the things you needed to do.

His expression was hesitant and a little bit defensive as he began to talk. “Well, I’m writing a musical about Alexander Hamilton.”

You blinked. “Like, the founding father?”

“That’s the one.”

“You’re kidding!”

A silent sort of determination burned in his eyes. “I’m not, actually.” He withdrew into himself and started typing again.

“I want to hear this.” Once again, his eyes were on yours and you smiled. “C’mon, I’m getting a degree in music. I want to see how you’ve done this.”

“Well, it’s not finished yet…”

“Oh, that’s fine, just let me listen.” You pulled your chair up next to his, and one demo and a few explanations later, you knew this was going to be incredible.

You stayed in that coffee shop for three hours that day, talking and rhyming and learning more about Alexander Hamilton. Lin was like no one you’d ever met before. He was so passionate about this project, all hurried words and wild hand gestures, and he carried with him a steadfast will to see this project come to fruition. You fell in love with the lyrics he so carefully wrote, with the blueprint of this concept he so eagerly showed you. Hamilton took root in your heart then, and you knew you’d never be able to pull it out.

Eventually though, you had to pay attention to the clock you’d been shamefully ignoring. “Lin, I really need to leave now. But I want to hear more about this! I want to be there the night it opens on Broadway.”

He smiled, thankful for your support. “I’ll save you a seat. Front row.”

“Promise?” you asked as you finished typing your number into his phone.

“As long as you promise to come once you realize how ridiculous the whole idea is.”

You smirked, pulling your bag onto your shoulder and pushing your chair back under the table. “It’s a deal.”

One year before opening night

“Come on, Lin. You need to finish this!” You snatched his phone from his hands as he yelled indignantly.

“Hey! I need to respond to that!”

“No, you need to work, I’ve got it.” Of course he was on Twitter. So you typed a tweet for him, informing everyone that he would be taking a break to actually get some work done… for once. You spent a few minutes scrolling through his feed, laughing softly every now and then, until you felt Lin’s looking at you, a ridiculous pout on his face.

“Why do you get to have fun while I’m over here slaving away?”

“Shh, I’m trying to read.” When he kept his gaze locked on you, you sighed. “Pick up your pen, and start writing.”

Lin groaned and put his head on his dining room table. “It’s too cold in here to work!”

“Then turn down the AC.”

“But I’m trying to write. I think you should do it.”

You rolled your eyes and pushed your seat back from his table as Lin seemed to be struck with an idea he quickly wrote down. After grabbing a blanket out of his room and adjusting the temperature, you came back to find that Lin had migrated to the couch where he sat with his feet up on the coffee table, writing something in a notebook.

Before you had a chance to sit down, he said, “Oh, and I think I’ll need some hot chocolate, too.”

“It’s summer, Lin.”

“Do you want me to finish this musical or not? I need hot chocolate!”

You threw the blanket at him, but one warm drink later, you found yourself dozing off by his side while he hummed softly. You weren’t concerned–you’d fallen asleep on his couch and vice versa plenty of times. Right before you slipped out of consciousness, he looked at his notebook and sang a line so quietly you almost missed it. “Pick up a pen, start writing.”

Your eyes opened a tiny crack, the faintest hint of a smile on your face before you fell asleep.

Lin watched you for a few moments until your breathing became steady and slow. “You know, (Y/N), I think I love you.”

He kissed your forehead and tucked in the blanket around you, smiling as he turned off the light. What did he ever do to deserve you?

Six months before opening night

“Why don’t you find an actual date instead?”

Lin groaned. “Not this again. C’mon, (Y/N), I just really want to see this movie!”

“That’s what you said about the last one.” You didn’t move out of your doorway, not yet willing to let Lin inside.

“But this one is going to be really good! Please! I’ve been looking forward to it since last year!”

“Yet you still couldn’t manage to find a date.” You pulled the door open the rest of the way and allowed him to walk inside. You weren’t ever actually going to turn him away, but he wasn’t off the hook yet. “Why don’t you ever date? Plenty of girls are interested in you.”

He followed you to your bathroom and sat on the edge of the tub as you started getting ready. “I don’t want to date any of those girls. Besides, I…” He hesitated, and your hand stilled, the mascara halfway to your eyelashes. “I’m practically dating Hamilton by this point. Why don’t you ever date?”

Touché.

“Shh, you ask too many questions. I’ve only got one shot at this eyeliner, so don’t distract me!”

When you finished your makeup, Lin was waiting by the door, holding out your shoes to you and practically bouncing up and down with excitement.

You smiled. “Let’s go.”

He kissed your cheek. “You’re the best!”

A chuckle. “I know.”

One month before opening night

Lin walked with you to the theater, rambling on about how excited he was for you to see what his coffee shop writings were turning into. You finally had the day off work, and your degree in music could wait for a few more hours while Lin showed you what his entire world had become.

He introduced you to the guard at the door, to an orchestra member practicing backstage, to someone on a ladder that was fixing the lights. A smile stayed glued to his face as he led you through the building, talking to everyone and making sure they knew who you were. You’d met so many people by the time you reached the dressing rooms that you lost any hope of remembering names.

Lin knocked on the open door of a dressing room, catching the attention of the people inside. “Pippa, Jas, Renée, this is (Y/N).”

They smiled and hugged you while Lin launched into a conversation about their roles in the play, and the costume changes, and the character development. Their laughs were infectious, and you quickly found you enjoyed talking to them. Twenty minutes later, the five of you were sitting on various pieces of furniture, lost in conversation, when the man you recognized as Chris knocked on the door frame.

“Lin, we need you for a minute.” He turned to the girls. “And then we’re running Helpless and Satisfied at 10. You’re welcome to watch, (Y/N).”

Once Lin was gone, the girls turned back to you. “He never stops talking about you,” Phillipa said. “It’s a little bit scary, honestly.”

A laugh bubbled out of your mouth. “Probably because he never sees anyone else. He’s been working on this for so long that I think he’s forgotten what life is like without it. I’m just so glad that it’s finally happening, and that you’re the one playing Eliza. Before he met you, he spent a good month trying to convince me to do it.”

“And why didn’t you?” Renée asked.

“He heard me sing.” That brought a round of laughter before you continued. “No, I’ve just always wanted to compose a film score, and it would probably be best to not get caught up in acting right before I get my degree.”

“But you’re at least coming opening night, right?” Jasmine questioned.

The memory of your promise from years ago hit you hard, and pride swelled up inside you. “I’ll be right in the front row. I wouldn’t miss it for anything.”

One week before opening night

You stood in your living room and stared at the letter in your hands, already starting to feel nauseous.

Please inform us immediately if you will be present in Los Angeles on August 6 to begin working. We are sorry again for the short notice.

This was it, this was your chance. You had been offered a job to work with some incredible composers on a score for a new movie. You’d fought for your entire life to get to this point. But you still felt sick and your ears were ringing.

The sixth of August.

That was opening night.

You couldn’t stop looking at the paper, everything else around it having gone blurry.

A hand on your shoulder caused you to jump and spin around only to come face to face with Lin.

“Sorry,” he started. “I didn’t knock but… Oh, are you okay?’

You didn’t realize you were crying until his hand reached up to brush away a tear. Stepping backwards, you shook your head, a sob forcing its way up your throat. Lin tried to reach for your hand, but you pulled it back and held out the letter to him instead. He carefully took the paper and started to read, not saying a word until he finished the entire thing.

“(Y/N), you know you have to go.”

You fell onto your couch, and Lin was beside you in an instant, pulling you into a tight hug.

“It’s opening night,” you whimpered.

He ran his hand up and down your back. “I know, it’s okay. It’s okay.”

“I promised, Lin,” you mumbled into his shoulder. “I want to be there!” You looked up into his eyes to find him tearing up.

“I know you do, and I want you to be there, too. But… You can’t miss this opportunity, (Y/N) this is what you want. Go. I’ll help you pack if you need it.”

So you started packing, and when Lin finally left for rehearsals, you broke down on the bathroom floor and cried another ocean.

Part of you was thankful that Lin was supportive and helping you make the right decision. The other part wanted him to beg you to stay, so you could see him opening night, so you wouldn’t have to leave him.

You would have to leave him.

The thought froze you completely. Lin had been such a huge part of your life for the last three years. You didn’t even know who you were without him. He was the best friend you’d ever had, and even though he had to put up with all of your crap, he stuck around.

What did you ever do to deserve him?

Two days before opening night

You clung to Lin, trying not to cry again but ultimately failing. He was practically crushing you with his hug, buried in your shoulder and sniffling quietly. When he finally released you, he grabbed your hands, his eyes red. “Good luck,” he whispered, his words somehow louder than all of the airport.

“Thank you.” You squeezed his hands one last time before finally letting him go and grabbing your suitcase. It was heavier than it should have been. You were maybe fifteen steps away when you heard him shout.

“(Y/N)!”

You turned and met his eyes.

Ask me to stay. Please, Lin, I can’t leave you, I don’t know how to live without you. Ask me to stay!

A pause.

“Do not throw away your shot!”

A nod. A smile. And then you left him.

Opening night

Lin was trying to button up his shirt, but his hands were shaking too much, and he jumped when he heard Renée’s voice behind him.

“Almost ready?”

“I… yeah, these buttons just–”

She crossed the room and buttoned them quickly, pulling him into a quick hug. “Relax,” she said. “Everything will go fine. We’ve practiced this, remember?”

“I know, I’m just nervous, I guess. And I… “ he stopped himself, but quickly decided it wouldn’t hurt to express his feelings to Renée. “I wish (Y/N) was here,” he confided.

“Me too.” Renée led him towards the stage as they got their five-minute call. “You have no idea how proud she is of you, Lin.”

He shook his head. “This isn’t right. I don’t want to do this, not without her.”

“I know you don’t. But I don’t think she’d want you to throw away your shot, so get out there and perform, and then let her know how you feel.”

Renée was right. He’d perform for you tonight, even though you weren’t there. Still, he checked one final time to see if the seat on the front row was still empty.

It was.

Lin took a deep breath. This is for (Y/N), he thought.

Opening night

You realized you loved him halfway through the plane ride back to New York, and you just hoped he felt the same way about you, because you were going to tell him the first chance you got. When you stepped off the plane, you hit the ground running. You didn’t stop until you were in a taxi headed for the theater. Pulling your phone out, you opened your messages with him to let him know you’d be there, fingers hovering the keyboard. No. You weren’t going to tell him. It would be a surprise.

You payed the taxi driver and thanked him profusely while you dragged your suitcase out of the car. When you arrived at the theater door, you realized the guard there was the same one you met on your first day at the theater, and many times since.

He smiled at you and reached into his pocket. “Lin told me to give you this if you showed up,” he told you, holding a slip of paper towards you and opening the door. “I can take care of your suitcase, too.”

You laughed, trading the ticket for your luggage. “Thank you!”

Instead of looking at the ticket, you headed straight for the front row and plopped down in the only empty seat left just as the music started.

You’d seen the show in rehearsals, but this was just unreal. The energy and emotion everyone put into the acting was incredible. The opening number was going smoothly, and you leaned back into your seat, bursting with pride.

Lin didn’t see you until halfway through My Shot. But when his eyes skimmed over the audience, he did a double take, focusing back in on you. The whole process took less than half a second, but afterwards, Lin stood a little taller and sang a little louder.

You loved him.

When the play was over, a security guard came to find you and escort you backstage. You made your way towards his dressing room, but before you could get anywhere close, Lin was flying around the corner and running towards you.

He kissed you without giving either of you a chance to talk. He hadn’t slowed down from his run, so he backed you into the wall and held you there, clutching your waist desperately and pressing his lips to yours like you were keeping him alive. He pulled away with a gasp.

“I love you,” you said in unison, and you melted in his fierce hug.

“(Y/N), you are so, so stupid!” he said. “Why would you come back?”

Tears were in your eyes as you laughed. “It was a typo, Lin.” You smiled up at him. “The letter. It was supposed to say August sixteenth, not August sixth.”

His jaw dropped. “You’re kidding.”

“I’m not, actually. Besides, there’s no way I could live on the other side of the country without you knowing that I love you.”

By this time, the rest of the cast was swarming the room, and they cheered when you kissed again, neither of you acknowledging the need to breathe for a long time.

(Thanks for your support of whatever this turned into lol)

Hey I was wondering if you can do a prompt where Jughead left Betty for the serpents so Betty soon joins them but she acts like he doesn't exist because she is to heartbroken over the terrible break up. And the other serpents fall head over heels for her (that was long I'm sorry :( )

That’s awesome! I’ll do a quick one shot before I knock out!
****

The bags under his eyes were heavy and he Tasted blood in his mouth, tearing his teeth from inside his cheek, he shifted in his leather jacket and stared blankly at the pages of his book. It had been about a month since he had joined the Serpents, a month since he had broken things off with Betty, he could still remember that day so vividly.

“I don’t want to be with you? Don’t you get it?! Stay out of my life. I don’t have time for some spoiled princess to worry about me. Figure your own life out. Jesus Christ Betty, atleast try and get a life.” He had shouted, swallowing the sick that was threatening to rise in his throat, he hadn’t meant any of the things he said but he had no choice, he knew Betty and he knew she wouldn’t give up, not unless he crossed the line, not unless he broke her heart. It was too dangerous for her to be a part of this lifestyle and he had to do what he had to do. The image of her tear stained face and bloody palms still imprinted in his brain.

“Yo jones, you gonna get over here and welcome the new member? it was you not so long ago.” An older man smiled at him, smacking an arm to his shoulder and dragging him towards the pool table, the new members back was to Jughead but he could tell she was girl, the long blonde curls hanging down the familiar leather jacket were a dead give away. His heart nearly gave out when she turned around, bright green eyes and a heartbreakingly beautiful smile.

It was Betty Cooper. Betty Cooper was standing before about 40 men and women carrying guns and wearing leather jackets. Had he stepped into the twilight zone? Betty’s eyes caught his and they turned cold, she quickly turned her face back to the newest leader Viper and smiled up at him.

“This little lady is none other than Alice Coopers daughter. You may remember her as being one of the most badass Serpents to grace the grounds, unfortunately she got caught up in trying to live the upper class riverdale lifestyle. Fortunately for us though, our very own Mini Cooper has decided she’s sick of living that boring, stuck up lie. I want everyone to treat her with the utmost respect, after all she is a Serpent now.” He squeezed her shoulder as the bar erupted in cheers.

Jughead couldn’t get her alone, it seemed everyone was head over heels in love with Betty. She lit up the dirty old bar and her laughter was contagious leaving anyone she spoke to in good spirits. He finally got his chance at the end of the night when he caught her waving to an older woman as she headed outside.

“Betty!” He called after her, watching as her shoulders tightened but she continued walking, she was fast but he was faster, he gripped her arm gently, swinging her towards him.

“What do you want Jughead?” She asked stoically.

“What are you doing here Betty, what were they talking about in there? This isn’t your home, you have to..” he was cut off by her sharp words

“You don’t know me. You don’t know anything about me, maybe you don’t remember but you broke up with me, you left me standing alone in a booth at Pops Diner. I can make my own choices and I’m choosing this. We don’t even have to interact. I’ll go my way, you go yours. And hey.. stay out of my life” she hissed angrily, tearing her arm from Jugheads grasp, herblong legs practically running to a trailer as he stared after her in shock.

Oh Betty, what happened?

Real True Story that Actually Happened

My Dad will be 64 this autumn. My Dad is a die-hard Republican. My Dad was a Southern Baptist pastor for nearly 30 years. And my Dad is a Heathers fan.
He’s always had movies he enjoyed but he’s mostly a passive fan, never getting too invested.
Dad called me a couple weeks ago, voice a little tremulous, begging me to send him a link whereby he could stream Heathers and bypass the PBS waiting period, I happily sent him the best one I’d found. He didn’t want to wait, he wanted to watch it NOW, and I could respect him for that. It was a pleasant surprise, him loving the movie so much he had to watch it NOW.
Today, I finally got the chance to ask him about it.
I was bouncing on my toes, excited to be fangirling about my fave show with my own father. “What did you think, Dad?”
I didn’t expect him to get a little choked up. His next words blew my mind.
He said, “Sweetie, I’m old. Set in my ways. I was taught, and adhered to, a certain way that people should be with each other. I preached it, and I voted in light of it, and I taught it to you and your sister. But I watched this show. And I watched these two men fall in love with each other. And the only thing I could think was, ‘These two souls are meant to be together’. Kurt Kelly and Ram Sweeney are… soulmates. Over my years as a pastor, I’ve seen couples get married.. And couples get divorced.. It happens. But I’ve never seen two people who were more perfectly designed to fit together, and it broke my heart to see it not happen for them. I’m sorry I’ve been such an ass.”
Given that it was a brave moment, I blurted out, “Dad, I’m bisexual.”
And he turned to me and smiled, tears in his eyes, and said, “Just… be happy.”
Don’t fret that the press “has yet to discover” the “subtext” inherent in Heathers Don’t fret that the creators and the actors still deny it. Because if my Dad can see it, then it’s crystal clear. My almost-64-yr-old-Dad ships Kram. My SOUTHERN BAPTIST PASTOR Dad ships Kram.
To the point that he internalized change in his thinking about same-sex relationships, and happily accepted my (rather abrupt) coming out.
Keep the faith.
This ship has sailed; and my Dad, of ALL people, is right on fucking board.

On Jeopardy the other night, the final question was “How many steps does the guard take during his walk across the Tomb of the Unknowns?"

All three got it wrong.

This is really an awesome sight to watch if you’ve never had the chance.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

1. How many steps does the guard take during his walk across the tomb of the Unknowns and why?

Twenty-one steps. It alludes to the twenty-one gun salute, which is the highest honor given any military or foreign dignitary.

2. How long does he hesitate after his about-face to begin his returning walk and why?

Twenty-one seconds for the same reason as the answer of #1.

3. Why are his gloves wet?

His gloves are moistened to prevent him from losing his grip on the rifle.

4. Does he carry his rifle on the same shoulder all the time and if not, why not?

He carries the rifle on the shoulder away from the tomb. After his march across the path, he executes an about-face and moves the rifle to the outside shoulder.

5. How often are the guards changed?

Guards are changed every thirty minutes, twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year.

6. What are the physical traits of the guard limited to?

For a person to apply for guard duty at the tomb, he must be between 5’ 10″ and 6’ 2″ tall and his waist size cannot exceed 30″.

Other requirements of the Guard:

They must commit two years of life to guard the tomb, live in a barracks under the tomb, and cannot drink any alcohol on or off duty for the rest of their lives. They cannot swear in public for the rest of their lives and cannot disgrace the uniform or the tomb in any way. After two years, the guard is given a wreath pin that is worn on their lapel signifying they served as guard of the tomb. There are only 400 presently worn. The guard must obey these rules for the rest of their lives or give up the wreath pin. The shoes are specially made with very thick soles to keep the heat and cold from their feet. There are metal heel plates that extend to the top of the shoe in order to make the loud click as they come to a halt. There are no wrinkles, folds or lint on the uniform. Guards dress for duty in front of a full-length mirror. The first six months of duty a guard cannot talk to anyone, nor watch TV. All off duty time is spent studying the 175 notable people laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. A guard must memorize who they are and where they are interred. Among the notables are: President Taft, Joe E. Lewis (the boxer) and Medal of Honor winner Audie Murphy, (the most decorated soldier of WWII.) Every guard spends five hours a day getting his uniform ready for guard duty.

In 2003 as Hurricane Isabelle was approaching Washington, DC, our US Senate/House took two days off with anticipation of the storm. On the ABC evening news, it was reported that because of the dangers from the hurricane, the military members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were given permission to suspend the assignment. They respectfully declined the offer. Soaked to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm, they said that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment, it was the highest honor that can be awarded to a service-person.

The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.

Fuck Shoplifters

So my moron customer of the day is a real doozy. Skinny bitch with a pinched face, asshole son driving one of our electric carts around and around the front of the store while wearing one of our hats with the tag torn off. When I got there she had the electric’s basket full and was working on filling a THIRD full size cart with random crap from the 1-5 dollar area known as [redacted]. [Which is my area to zone.]
Security is watching her, the front line manager is watching her, two upper managers are watching her, I’m watching her and we’re all waiting for her to put something in her giant ass fake Gucci purse where one of us can see it.
So I suggest to security that we tell her kid to get off the cart because, you know, someone disabled might want it? We get the okay and she takes 15 minutes to slowly unload the fucking electric while security stares at her.
I see that she’s got two full carts lined up at the lanes and security says there was a guy who came in sort of checking her out. We think he’s the getaway driver. Basically push-out is a type of shoplifting. You just fill a cart and scoot outside with it. Once you’re outside you can stand there loading your car and all we can do is call for the police and hope they get there in time. So I drive a line of carts in the way to block the two full carts behind the checkout lanes. We know there’s no chance in hell she’s gonna pay for this stuff and we’re all tense watching to see what goes down.
She’s crouched down below the [redacted] display just loading shit up by the handful and finally, finally, our HR manager, goes up and says something to her. And this bitch got shrill. The guy comes sliding over and the two of them start arguing. Apparently he ‘broke down on the highway’ and she came in here with the kid for some reason. We think maybe she wanted to push out and he refused to do it?
And as they’re storming off, HR goes “so are you going to pay for the food you ate?” [Boom bitch] So I’m like “I can take you over here at the service desk”. And she had nothing. She made the guy pay for the ten dollars worth of food and stomped off back into the store for a few minutes while he flailed. And I asked if he was going to pay for the hat. He refused but I can’t do anything. [The kid had greasy hair and he’d been wearing it for at least two, maybe three hours.] She comes back with a bag and wants to do a return. [Hoo boy. Return fraud is common, steal a thing and then return it with no reciept for store credit. But guess what? I get to refuse if it’s shady.]
She’s got three things. Two of them I find on her card and do the return and she’s crying. I tell her I’m not taking back the clutch cause she has no proof of purchase. I didn’t even give a reason. She was incredulous as fuck but too damn bad. She says it’s not fair and I just shrugged. Too bad. You’re just mad cause you didn’t get to steal as much from us as you wanted too. [We think she may have gotten away with a fitbit.] But when they were done doing the recovery recipt it was over $3000 worth of random accessories and dollar item stuff. It took me FOUR hours to put it all back with a bit of help and minimal inturruption. Fuck your tears. That shit comes out of our hours for the whole store.

Imagine Chris fulfilling his promise.

A/N: Yes, got this finished before I head out for the day. Thank God the time zones mess with my sleep schedule, right? 😂 This is a request from @ateliefloresdaprimavera. I hope you like it, love. I did, it’s honestly so cute. ❤️ And I love Mckenna, she’s really a doll. I can’t wait to watch ‘Gifted’, I’m going to sob like a baby.

Chris’ head titled as he watched you with a smile on his lips; he still couldn’t believe that he finally got to meet you in person. You’d both been in attendance of the same award shows and parties before, but he’d never gotten to chance to cross paths with you. It wasn’t until the 89th annual Oscars, at the Vanity Fair after party, that he finally caught you. You were talking to Octavia Spencer, who was a dear enough friend to Chris for him to butt into the conversation and introduce himself to you. The second your hands touch, Octavia excused herself. The look of adoration in Chris’ eyes did not go unnoticed, by you or Octavia. You were a fan of Chris’ so you’d heard him talk about how much he liked you on his interviews which was incredibly flattering, and as for Octavia- Chris had told her numerous time that he’d kill for a chance to speak with you; she wanted to get out of there before he killed her.

“You’re staring again,” you said and chuckled when Chris darted his gaze away. “I’m teasing,” you laughed and placed a hand on Chris’. “You’re fine. I like it when you stare, it’s very flattering.” He smiled and turned his hand palm up, entwining his fingers with yours. “So this is Chris Evans flirting, huh?”

“Actually,” he chuckled. “This is Chris Evans trying very hard not to freak out.” You smiled, brushing your thumb over his hand. “I’m so honored to be in your company, like you have no idea how happy I am right now.” You felt yourself blush. “You’re just such an amazing person, Y/N. This is the first time I’ve officially met you and I can say without a doubt that I’m in-love with you already.”

“Okay,” you chuckled, “I’m not that amazing.”

“I’d beg to differ,” he smiled. “You are that amazing.”

“You just met me, Chris. Are you seriously that sure about me already?” You quizzed and he nodded, smiling. “Oh please,” you giggled. “You think you know me, but you just know the person I portray when I’m in public. When you take me out on that date, you’re going to realize that I’m not all that and you’re going to get over this little crush you have on me.”

“That’s not going to happen,” he shook his head, chuckling. “Because sweetheart,” he pulled your hand to his lips and mumbled into your skin, “I’m going to marry you one day.” You laughed and nodded mockingly. “Just you wait and see,” he winked.

You sat backstage with Lisa and Mckenna’s mom at the Ellen show where Chris and McKenna were being interviewed for their upcoming movie, ‘Gifted’. You smiled as you watched your husband through the TV, enjoying his interaction with Mckenna as you subconsciously smoothed your hand over your small baby bump. He was just going to be the greatest father when your child came along and you couldn’t wait until your little one arrived.

“Was it fun working with this guy here?”

“Yes,” Mckenna looked over at Chris, smiling. “We were always singing and dancing and he’s so nice. He has such a kind heart. He’s always doing charity and…” She trailed off, giving Chris time to respond to her sweetness.

“I pay her,” Chris chuckled, waving it off though he thought it was a huge deal that Mckenna liked him so much. It gave him a glimpse of the life he was about to have with you, hoping his own child would adore him as much as his on screen one did. “It’s not a big deal.”

“You know what’s a big deal though,” Ellen began, smiling because she too was incredibly happy for you and Chris. “You’re going to be a dad soon,” she said. Immediately Chris smiled and Mckenna clapped, bouncing excitedly in her seat. “Your lovely wife, Y/N, who is someone I absolutely adore.” Chris nodded, his smile growing wider with each second. “She’s how many weeks now?”

“She’s about fourteen weeks, so um- we’ve still got a while to go before the baby comes,” Chris answered. “We’re very excited, yeah. It’s been a long time coming, I’ve been waiting for this moment for what seems like forever.”

“Yeah,” Ellen chuckled. “I think she said the last time she was on the show- I believe it was your second wedding anniversary?” She quizzed and Chris nodded. “She said that you actually told her you were going to marry her the night you met her.”

“Uh…” Chris chuckled, scratching the back of his neck. “Yeah, I did.” He nodded and the audience clapped. “Um- She’s just one of those amazing people that you have a small window of opportunity with, y'know? I’ve been waiting for a chance to speak with her for so long that when I finally got it, I knew I wasn’t going to let it get away. She’s the one,” he shrugged, smiling. “Um-” He glanced over his shoulder when the audience clapped; Ellen had put photos of the two of you up on the screen. “Yeah, she’s beautiful and perfect and- I’m just the luckiest man on the planet.”

“Awwww,” Mckenna cooed, making Chris laugh. “That’s so sweet! You see what I mean? He has such a kind heart! He’s such a nice person, Ellen,” she told Ellen who nodded in agreement. “I just think he’s going to be the best dad and Y/N is going to be the best mom. They’re so lovely and I really like them together.”

“Aw,” Chris laughed, wrapping an arm around Mckenna, “you’re such a sweetheart. Y/N and I love her, we’ve told her parents numerous times that we’d gladly take her in if ever something happened to them.” Everyone laughed; you looked over at Mckenna’s mom, smiling, and she chuckled. “I just hope that my child loves me as much as this one.”

“Oh, of course!” Mckenna looked shocked that Chris would even say that. “Chris, you’re going to be so amazing as a dad and your baby is going to love you so much.” Chris smiled. “Trust me, you’re so much fun. There’s no way that your baby is going to love you any less than I do.”

“I agree,” Ellen nodded. “Both you and Y/N are going to be amazing parents. I wish you all the best and I urge everyone to watch ‘Gifted’ which comes out on 12th of April! The movie is absolutely amazing, the two leads are just so incredibly talented.” Chris and Mckenna smiled at each other before turning to the audience. “Chris Evans and Mckenna Grace, everyone!”
• • • • • • • •
“Hey you,” you smiled at Chris when he entered the green room with Mckenna by his side; she ran over to her mom to talk about how well she did. Chris, on the other hand, smiled and walked over to you, pulling you to your feet to hug you. “You did so good, baby. The tap dancing was top-notch,” you teased and he chuckled.

“Thank you for marrying me,” he whispered into your hair after pressing a kiss to your head. “I don’t know where my life would be if you didn’t say yes. I definitely wouldn’t be as happy as I am now, and-” he pulled away to place his hand on your bump. “I wouldn’t be a father.”

“You’re going to be an amazing father,” you smiled and placed your hand over his. “And I believe I’m the one who should say thank you. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you, Chris. So thank you,” you wrapped your arms around his neck and his hands landed on your waist. “Thank you for fulfilling your promise to marry me one day.”

Crushes - Peter Parker x Reader

Requested by @missbreephoenix : I saw that you posted for Marvel again and really enjoyed it! I’ve never really asked for a request before but can I request a Spider-Man imagine? Garfield’s maybe? One where he’s in love with the reader—she doesn’t know—but he’s jealous of Steve Rogers and thinks the reader has a crush on Steve?

I finally finished your request! It’s a bit short but I hope you like it <3

How can she ever give me a chance when he’s around? Peter watched you with a bitter expression as you joked around with Cap. He was keeping you company while you were cooking dinner for the team. Peter burned of jealousy as he watched you smile and giggle at Steve’s jokes, wishing you would be talking to him instead. He sighed and got up out of the loveseat, exiting the living room and heading out onto the balcony.

You frowned as you noticed Peter going outside. He looked upset and you hated seeing him that way. “(Y/N)? You okay?” Steve asked when he saw the look on your face.

“Huh?” You looked back over at him and faked a smile. “Yeah, yeah. Put this in the oven for me?” You pointed to the dish. “I just need to — I’ll be right back.”

“Hey, Pete? Are you alright?” You stepped outside the sliding glass door and walked towards him.

He was leaning over the balcony with his arms crossed, looking out at the city. He was quiet, not responding to you as he thoughtfully watched the bright lights and cars below.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” You commented on the nightlife.

“Hmm, yeah.” He hummed as he looked over at you.

“I really enjoy being here at the tower. I never imagined myself living in the city. I thought I’d be a small-town girl forever.” You smiled, thinking about your parents and siblings back home.

His brown eyes watched your lips as you spoke. Feeling brave, he decided to tell you how he felt about working with you. “I’m glad you’re here, (Y/N).”

You looked back over at him and grinned.  “And I’m glad you joined us. We all make a great team, don’t we?” You said, nudging him on the shoulder. “You seem to really mesh well with Wanda.”

He smiled and looked away as you waggled your eyebrows at him. “Yeah…we’re friends, ya know?” What you didn’t know was that he talked to your best friend Wanda about how he could impress you.

“Riiiiggghhhttt.” You accused.

“And what about you? You seem to be close with Captain Good-Looking.” His smile didn’t quite meet his eyes.

“Oh he definitely is a looker, isn’t he?” You laughed. “But I’m actually more into people my age. After all, he is 97 years old.”

Peter laughed and looked back out towards the city. You admired how nice he looked with his soft hair tousling in the wind and the glowing lights illuminating his skin.

Once he turned back to you and caught you staring, you blushed. His eyes held yours and the two of you sat in silence. Finally, you found the courage to lean in closer to him and he did the same. Your eyes closed just before his lips softly pressed against yours. The kiss didn’t last long as he pulled away with a smug smile on his face. “So just to be sure…you don’t have a crush on Steve, right?”

You rolled your eyes. “No you idiot. Kissing you was my way of telling you I like you.” You pushed him and laughed.

He laughed along with you. “Subtle.”

“And you don’t like Wanda?”

“Yeah, about that…” He rubbed the back of his neck.

“Oh shut up.” You giggled and wrapped your arms around his waist, pulling him against you.

He smiled sweetly down at you as he cupped your face, bringing your lips back to his.

Just for the Night (Hoseok x Reader)

Prompt request: “Are you hurt?”

Summary: Hoseok is a famous actor, and you happen to be working as a stylist on set. You and Hoseok have undeniable chemistry, but will anything come out of it?

Word count: 1.4k words

You watched as Hoseok recited his final line. Throughout the past few months of filming, you had been completely awed by Hoseok’s presence and charisma. He was always energetic and cheerful, and his acting was stellar. You understood why the young star had risen to fame so quickly.

Plus, you were also stunned by Hoseok’s good looks. You had seen him on screen before, but in real life, it was a whole different story.

Unfortunately, with filming already wrapping up, you realized you never got the chance to talk to Hoseok. You figured a star like him would have no interest in you–a college student interning as a makeup artist. You didn’t want to get your hopes up, anyway.

The crew members and cast erupted into cheers as the final scene concluded. Filming was over. It was a bittersweet moment for you; the experience was amazing and you were sad to be saying goodbye.

With a quiet sigh, you retreated to the dressing rooms with a few other makeup artists. You only handled the secondary or background characters, so you never came into contact with the big stars.

One of the supporting characters was played by a young actress named Mina, who was around your age. She treated you like an equal, which wasn’t very common in your experiences.

“Hey, Y/N!” Mina called, running up to you and draping her arm across your shoulders. “Can you believe it? Filming’s done! Isn’t it crazy?”

“I know,” you replied sadly. “I’m kinda sad. I had so much fun working here.”

“So, once you graduate, just come work here again!” Mina chirped. “It’ll be so cool seeing all of our hard work on the big screen, you know?”

“That’s true,” you laughed. The two of you disappeared into a changing room, where you made quick work of removing Mina’s makeup and hair extensions. You chatted idly as you did so, Mina carrying most of the conversation. After a few minutes, you were finally finished. Mina changed into her regular clothes and you two exited the room.

“So, are you going to the dinner?” Mina asked as you walked through the production building’s long hallway. “The place is really nice! I mean, I’ve never been there, but I heard it’s awesome.”

“I don’t think I’m going to go,” you said reluctantly. “I dunno, it’s not really my thing. Plus, I’m an intern. The actual crew might not be too happy to have me there.”

“Don’t say that!” Mina exclaimed, slapping your arm lightly. “You do a ton of work, and you’re not even paid! You deserve a free, fancy dinner.”

“Amen,” you muttered. You turned a corner, entering the building’s large lobby. Crew and cast members were already congregating there, talking excitedly. “But still. It’ll be uncomfortable. I’m just going to go home after this.”

“You’re not coming to the dinner?” a voice suddenly asked from behind you. Both you and Mina spun around, stunned into silence upon seeing Hoseok standing just a few feet away from you.

“I-I’m not, no,” you replied quickly, tripping over your words. Barefaced and in casual clothing, Hoseok was still radiant. He smiled at you, and you had to physically resist the urge to swoon.

“Why not? It’ll be fun. Plus, free food,” Hoseok grinned. “For real, you should come, Y/N.”

“I, uh, I’ll t-think about it,” you stammered, reeling from the fact Hoseok knew your name.

“Hope I’ll see you there,” Hoseok said, shooting you a thumbs up. “You too, Mina.” With that, he walked away, presumably to talk to someone more important.

You turned to Mina, your mouth hanging open. Mina had a similar expression on her face.

“He knows my name,” you whispered to her. “Holy fuck. Why does he know my name?”

“I have no idea,” Mina replied, her voice bursting with excitement. “But you better find out!”

Two hours later, you arrived at a luxurious restaurant stuffed into one of Mina’s designer dresses. Uncomfortable in heels, you waddled up to the front of the restaurant where a few other people you recognized were standing. Mina patted your arm encouragingly, knowing how out of place you felt.

After some small talk, you were whisked into the restaurant. It was dimly lit, the interior design modern and sleek. The entire place just radiated wealth. You were itching to leave, but you wanted to talk to Hoseok once before the night ended. A girl could dream, after all.

The company had booked a whole section of the restaurant, so you and Mina just took a small table and waited to be served. Mina chattered away, and you listened attentively to whatever drama was happening in the world of celebrities. You didn’t care, really, but you had to admit it was interesting.

Eventually, dinner was served. Earlier, you had ordered lobster because you knew it was expensive. You hadn’t been paid for your labour, so you sure as hell were going to milk this free dinner for all it was worth. You had also been drinking champagne nonstop, so when you started to feel a little dizzy, you had to take a breather.

“I’m gonna go to the washroom,” you announced, pushing away from the table. Mina nodded, her mouth full of food, and waved you away. Teetering on your high heels, you searched the dark restaurant for a washroom in vain. Wandering aimlessly, you eventually found a hallway leading somewhere.

You continued walking down the hall, hoping it didn’t lead out of the building. Just as you were turning a corner, you collided with something solid. Stumbling back, you flailed as you tried to catch your balance.

Hands grabbed onto yours, keeping you steady.

“Are you hurt?” Hoseok asked, concern ringing his voice. “Oh, Y/N! You came!”

“I-I’m fine,” you blushed, letting your hands fall from Hoseok’s warm grip. “And yeah, I did. The food was good, so I’m not complaining.”

“You should’ve come talk to me sooner,” Hoseok pouted. His expression quickly turned serious, and his eyes turned dangerously dark as he looked down at you. “But you look really good tonight, Y/N.”

“Thank you,” you said quietly, biting your lip. You peered up into Hoseok’s eyes shyly. “You look nice, too.”

“Tell me if I’m reading this wrong,” Hoseok mumbled as he leaned down, his face hovering inches away from yours. You could feel his breath ghosting across your lips. When you made no attempt to move, Hoseok closed the distance, and his lips met yours.

Maybe it was the champagne, or maybe it was just Hoseok, but you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him back. It was messy and too quick, but it sent shivers down your spine. Hoseok’s mouth was so warm, and his wandering hands drew you in.

“Fuck,” Hoseok groaned, pulling away to catch his breath. You panted in unison. “I’ve been wanting to do that since I first saw you.”

“You should have told me sooner,” you laughed, threading your fingers through Hoseok’s soft hair. You tugged the strands gently. “But better late than never.”

“True,” Hoseok smirked. He stepped back and grabbed your hands. “Here, follow me.”

He led you further down the hallway where there were–like you were looking for–washrooms. Hoseok pulled you into the empty washroom, clicking the lock behind you. When he turned back to look at you, the expression on his face almost predatory. You smiled at him. A challenge, which he readily accepted.

And if Hoseok liked you in Mina’s dress, he certainly liked you even more without it.

After that night with Hoseok, you parted ways without a word. Well, there were words. Hoseok was as excitable as ever. But there were no promises of keeping in touch or relationships. Both of you knew that was impossible.

So, your internship ended and you returned to school. You were actually studying special effects makeup–niche, you knew. After your final year in college, you returned to the industry with a bang. After working on a few small projects, you landed a position on a huge film project.

When you walked in on the first day, the last person you were expecting to see was Hoseok.

He spotted you almost immediately, a smile tipping the corners of his lips upward. His eyes darkened–just like they did that one night–as he looked you up and down.

“Y/N,” Hoseok said, your name sounding like honey. “Nice to see you again.”

What do you think the RFA+Saeran would do if them and MC wanted to have kids but one of them was infertile?

Obstetrics and gynecology wasn’t exactly my favorite during my uni days (I preferred anatomy and pathophysiology), but this was interesting to read up on! Enjoy!

~Nao

RFA + Saeran react to inferility

Yoosung

  • It’s not like you couldn’t get pregnant, but you’ve had miscarriage upon miscarriage
  • He was overjoyed when he finally thought you could have a baby that one time when the test came back positive
  • Only to find out that it was a cancerous mass that started to develop inside your uterus
  • You had to undergo chemotherapy for a year, and he was there to support you all the way
  • You finally finished your treatment cycles and was finally declared cancer-free, but then you were advised to not try to get pregnant within a year
  • You weren’t getting any younger, and the chances of you having a safe pregnancy were getting slimmer
  • He was worried too, but he tried to cheer you up as best as he can; however, you just wouldn’t come out of your slump.
  • He suggested that you use a surrogate instead, and you readily agree
  • The process of finding the right surrogate was longer than expected, but you found one at last
  • There was nothing wrong with your eggs and his sperm, so you had the fertilized egg artificially implanted on the surrogate
  • Cried when he finally had the baby in his arms

Zen

  • Neither of you were sterile, but you just couldn’t get pregnant even after two years of trying.
  • He wondered if it had to do anything about your busy schedules
  • So he decided to go on hiatus for a few months to see if you could conceive.
  • But still, nothing.
  • He was ready to be a dad, dammit.
  • But he couldn’t blame you either.
  • However, one of your younger cousins secretly gave birth out of wedlock, and asked if you could take in the child for her instead because she was scared of her family rejecting her.
  • He was unsure at first, but he couldn’t say no when he saw you look longingly at the infant.
  • So you took the baby in, and legally put them in your family register
  • Enjoyed every minute of being a father, even if it meant that you had to take turns waking up in the middle of the night to take care of the child.
  • Loved them just the same even when you finally got pregnant a year after.

Jaehee

  • What were that chances of both of you being infertile, right?
  • But her excessive caffeine intake caused her to have immature eggs
  • You had painful menstrual periods, and upon having yourself checked, you discovered that there were abnormal growths in your ovaries
  • Was worried about your condition more than hers, so she urged you to have yourself treated first
  • Read up on possible options for having kids, and discussed them with you.
  • You were a little terrified when she had you watch a video of childbirth, so you both opted for adoption instead.

Jumin

  • Your ovaries have stopped working during your early 20’s, even before you met him
  • He still married you even when he knew your condition, and didn’t tell his father about it
  • However, being the only child, he had the responsibility of producing an heir
  • When his father learns of your infertility, he urges Jumin to separate with you and find a woman who can give him a child.
  • But he can’t do that to you, no.
  • Wouldn’t even consider surrogate services because he didn’t trust them to just cut off connections after giving birth and getting paid.
  • Not even in-vitro fertilization because that would require donor eggs.
  • Familial responsibilities still require him to have a child though.
  • You also wanted a child, and would look longingly at couples with children
  • Started hosting charity projects for orphans and orphanages, claiming that it was all about social responsibility and giving the company a good image.
  • There was a charity drive for orphanages that C&R hosted, and you went together with him that day
  • You couldn’t take your eyes off a particular baby boy, and he saw how happy you were when one of the staff put him in your arms
  • Decided to adopt the infant on the spot
  • Adoption processing took a while, and it made headlines upon headlines
  • Chairman Han was especially furious with him, insisting that you should’ve had an artificial conception instead
  • But he’d come to love the baby too, and would go through anything just to keep the both of you safe and loved.

707/Saeyoung

  • Was overjoyed when he found out you were with child
  • He was so excited that he was finally going to have kids
  • But then, you got involved in a hit and run accident on your 8th month
  • The doctors had no choice but to remove your uterus in order to save your life
  • However, they couldn’t save the baby
  • Was worried and devastated upon hearing about what happened, but he couldn’t bring himself to see you personally
  • It took him a few days before he finally had the courage to go visit you
  • You looked so frail and depressed
  • After all, you just lost your child and the ability to conceive another one
  • Neither of you could look at each other’s eyes
  • Both of you blurt out “I’m sorry“ at the same time
  • You maintain eye contact with him for a couple of seconds before you both break down in each other’s arms
  • Realized that he shouldn’t have been selfish and went to see you right away when you started putting the blame on yourself
  • “It-it’s alright, MC. I’ll still love you, and we can still be a family even if it’s just us and Saeran”

Unknown/Saeran

  • The drugs he was forcefully given had affected more than just his psyche
  • It also resulted in him having a low sperm count and low sperm quality
  • He was initially against Saeyoung volunteering to have his sperm used instead, but gave in once you expressed your desire to have kids
  • So you underwent a procedure to have his brother’s sperm artificially implanted in you
  • Wasn’t really happy about the knowledge that Saeyoung was technically the father, and this would cause you to have arguments.
  • Did a complete turn around when he finally had the infant in his arms.
  • Unexpectedly turned out to be a good parent, and would even let his brother co-parent sometimes.
