finally annabeth looks like an annabeth

Ok honestly though I can see Percy always been photographed by girls in public and he gets really embarrassed and awkward like…

-Ever since he came back from Camp Jupiter stronger and with a new tattoo, girls have given him even more attention, especially reg. humans.

-Like he’ll be in the airport or in a coffee shop, and girls will start taking his picture since they find him cute.

-The first time it happens, Piper is the one to inform him since before Percy was completely oblivious.

-Whenever he figures out that girls are taking pictures of him he kinda gives an awkward smile and nod that the girls find cute.

-One time a girl went up to him and flirted and was just like “uhhh I have a girlfriend.” and when she went “why am I not surprised?” Percy was beet red the rest of the day.

-Although Annabeth wants to stab all of these girls, she also knows that Percy would never cheat on her, and so she instead usually teases him about it, saying stuff as “Looks like I have some competition Seaweed Brain.”

Rating of PJO based on mentions of peanut butter
  • The Lightning Thief: 2 mentions. Nancy Bobofit throws peanut butter and ketchup sandwich pieces at Grover. Disgusting combination, used for a disgusting act. This book slanders the good name of peanut butter. 1/10
  • Sea of Monsters: 3 mentions. Percy buys Tyson an extra peanut butter sandwich at lunch one day. Percy also can't bring himself to look at Tyson's face bc he is distracted by peanut butter in his teeth. Finally, there are PB+J sandwiches aboard the CSS Birmingham. Good amount, sets up Tyson's continued love of peanut butter throughout the series. 8/10
  • The Titan's Curse: 2 mentions. Tyson thinks Annabeth is the coolest thing since peanut butter(and he really likes peanut butter). Peanut butter is not actually present in the scene, but it is acknowledged for being very cool. 6/10
  • Battle of the Labyrinth: 3 mentions. Tyson wants to relive the good old days when Annabeth, Percy, and he used to go on quests and eat peanut butter sandwiches. Later, Hera serves them all peanut butter sandwiches, which Tyson inhales. Although Tyson is incorrect in the amount of peanut butter sandwiches consumed in the Sea of Monsters, there are still a good amount of mentions. 9/10
  • The Last Olympian: 10 mentions. By far the most. May Castellan makes PB+J for a son that will never come home. This is very sad and makes me cry every time. On a lighter note, Tyson and the cyclopses use peanut butter as their battle cry, which Zeus finds odd. All in all, a robust amount of usages, all of which are very important to the plot. 27/10
Not So Shore

A ‘Mortals Meet Percabeth’ fic, with a twist!!
10k words

“Hey, Kelly?”

Kelly looked up from her biology textbook, blinking at her best friend Olivia, who was definitely not doing the chapter review questions they’d been assigned. “What?”

“Do you think there’s something weird about Percy Jackson?” Olivia asked.

Kelly followed her to gaze to where Percy was sitting at the back of the room, leaning back in his chair. He wasn’t doing the review questions, either - instead, he was staring into the fish tank behind his desk. Kelly couldn’t see his face, but his dark hair was ruffled up and he was wearing his AHS hoodie with ‘Jackson’ emblazoned across the back of it.

“What do you mean, weird?” she asked, turning back around to Olivia.

Olivia shrugged. “I mean, just… there’s something strange about him.”

Alright but everyone’s saying that Percy’s gonna be the one that turns against the gods and stuff but like personally, I can see it being either Nico or Annabeth, but more like Annabeth, I mean let’s take a little look down her life…

-The gods have practically taken away her whole childhood, leaving her with one parent who marries and causes her to have an unhappy home life.

-Then, when she finally runs away, she is forced to fight off monsters at the young age of seven.

-Once she finally makes it to camp, she looses the two people that she looks up to.

-She looses Thalia to monsters, and Luke to Kronos after he starts to resent the gods.

-Things don’t get better for Annabeth after the age of twelve for the most part shes always being involved with the prophecy and quests.

-Then, once she finally gets some peace, its gets interrupted by gods once Percy gets kidnapped.

-And now she is dragged into yet another prophecy.

-It is during this time her mom tells her that Annabeth is disappointing her, which brings her to the whole journey in Rome, which results in her literally ending up in hell, having to escape.

-What makes it even better? She finds out her cousin is also infilited with the gods, as well.

So yes, while I can see why Percy might resent the gods, I think he cares too much about others to turn away from them. Annabeth on the other hand has continuously lost friends, family, the chance at a normal life, sense of safety, and even her sanity (Tartarus) because of the gods, and this all started at the age of seven. I will say, however that I think one reason why both Percy and Annabeth would never turn away from the gods is that Luke Castellan will always remain a firm example of what happens when you turn your back on the gods, and therefore others.

Percabeth One-Shot: Bad Day at the Aquarium

((Hope you enjoy! A little fluffy one shot where Percy’s had a stressful day and Annabeth comforts him))

She heard his body flop down on the couch before the front door even managed to close.

It was the second Friday of two pay weeks, so Annabeth spent her day off reading and cleaning their small apartment on the seventh floor of the apartment building on 29th Street. Waking up early, Annabeth managed to vacuum every room and dust all the furniture before 10 am. The couple took turns cleaning the apartment. The demi-gods would switch back and forth between who’s turn it was to clean. Despite the fact Percy couldn’t dust to save his life, he did an incredible job cleaning the bathroom and making their bed.

Annabeth hadn’t been expecting to see him home for lunch, so the sudden opening of the door and thump on the couch was a pleasant surprise.

The blonde woman peaked her head around the corner of the kitchen door frame. A head of black hair pushed down into the patterned throw pillow, and a heavy sigh leaks out from the man’s body. She practically saw the tension swirling around his solid shoulders.

“I didn’t think you’d be home so early,” Annabeth questioned, her feet slowly shifting across the living room carpet.

A muffled grunt came from the pillow. The breath shifting from his lungs was rigid and frustrated, and Annabeth already knew what was wrong before he even said his name.

Philip. Philip Jenkins.

A 5’6 man with a snippy voice and the temperament of a bratty child. He had been the bane of Percy’s existence ever since he took the job at the aquarium. Philip was maybe two rungs above Percy on the employment scale. Maybe being the key word. The idea that he’s the boss of Percy was much more inflated in the little man’s head than was actually true. It was no longer a surprise to Annabeth to find her boyfriend frustrated and tired over the ruling of his coworker.

“Philip,” Percy barely muttered, his face still pressed into the pillow.

Annabeth’s hand softly slid under Percy’s chin. The soft fabric of the pillow pressed against her knuckles as she gently pushed up on his jawline. The man’s head lifted easily. His eyes were squeezed closed and the frustrated expression on his face was almost childish. It was cute to her.

Annabeth sat on the comfy couch, her heels resting on the recently polished, wooden coffee table. Percy’s head nuzzled into her stomach as another sigh left his lips. Annabeth’s fingers traced over his scalp. His hair sifted between her fingers. The tension began to leak out of his body simply by the movement of her fingers.

“Oh Philip,” Annabeth repeated, shaking her head. “What an awful man.”

Percy nodded in agreement as his face hid against her shirt’s fabric.

“We can always sick Thalia on him,” Annabeth suggested, her eyes on the wall across from them as she pondered the idea and let her fingers mindlessly move, “Or Piper even. Remember last time I showed up to bring you lunch?”

The chuckle slipped from Percy’s mouth as he turned onto his back. His sea-green eyes opened slowly and the early afternoon light flickered across his expression from the open patio glass door. Percy rolled to rest against her lap, and his face aimed towards the ceiling so his eyes could look over her face.

“He nearly peed himself,” Percy remembers.

When Philip tried to interrupt the pair simply saying hello, Annabeth practically ripped him a new one about manners and minding his own business. The little man turned a shade of pale and shuffled away with a half apology, avoiding Percy for a solid week after the encounter.

The light glinted over Percy’s pupils as the soft late summer breeze moved across the living room. Annabeth’s grey eyes connected with his sea-green ones, and the couple just looked at each other for a moment. Annabeth could feel Percy’s breathing finally back to normal as the peace gently leaked over his expression. There he was. Kind, calm, and goofy. Not frustrated and overworked. Percy loved his job, Annabeth knew that, he just didn’t like the people he was forced to work with.

Annabeth shifted and kissed the tip of Percy’s nose gently. A genuine smile moved across Percy’s lips, and he sat up from her lap. Percy kissed her as their noses brushed against one another. Their breath mingled before he pulled back and rested his forehead against hers.

“Thank you,” Percy breathed, his hand finding hers and squeezing it softly.

Annabeth’s knowing, comforting smile joined her nod she gave him, and the pair moved off from the couch.

“Be home on time?” She wondered, heading back for her tea and book.

Percy nodded. He leaned against the open front door as he watched her move towards the kitchen. Annabeth returned a moment later, half a sub wrapped up and in a bag.

“Don’t forget to eat, and don’t let him get under your skin.”

“Yes, dear.” Percy teased, kissing her cheek.

He took the sandwich from her and lingered enough to see her make it through the door frame.

“Say hi to the sea horses for me,” Annabeth quipped, Percy unable to see the soft smirk on her face.

His smile lingered across his lips the whole way back to the aquarium. He loved coming home for lunch.

Birthday Girl (Philip X Reader)

WEDIM Day Twelve

WARNINGS: None, Fluff

SUMMARY: 19. 19 years old and not wed. To my father, this is an absolute disgrace. So naturally, he goes and finds some ‘fitting young men’ to come to my party. However, his plans go awry when the person who hates most makes a surprise visit bearing the best gift of all

A/N: This was requested by the ever lovely @bethanystan . Y’all need to go pester her to start writing again because she’s so good but she doesn’t believe in herself (and she has no ideas) I hope you are all well, and I hope you haven enjoyed the first twelve days of WEDIM!

I had known Philip since I was four years old. My family moved from Georgia to New York and thanks to our mothers getting along so well we ended up growing up together. We were only a month apart in age so up until the age of ten our birthday parties were always put together. My mother died when I was eight and although I still saw the Hamiltons regularly things were never quite the same.

Much to my father’s disapproval, Phillip and I were best friends. My father could not understand that a man and a woman could be so close, in his mind women only made wives, then babies. There was no way a woman could be of intellectual equality to a man. But none the less we remained best friends throughout school and then when Philip went off to college we would write near every day and would always make time to see each other.

My nineteenth birthday rolled around and my father decided that would be the best time to find a husband because in his words: I was not going to stay ‘young and pure’ for very much longer. I was having my party at my Aunt and Uncle’s house and my father had invited three suitors he thought fit. I already knew I wouldn’t like them but I had no choice in the matter. I only had to talk to them once

My maid helped me get ready. I was wearing a gorgeous pastel blue gown with matching pumps. My hair was down and curled into tight curls which were then pinned back. A little makeup and I was ready to go.

My Aunt and Uncle lived in a big house in the city. Their house was just in front of the park and was absolutely huge on the inside. It was perfect for a party, and they happily obliged to letting me host one there. I’d invited my friends and their husbands/fiancés, Philip and his newest girlfriend were going to be there along with several members of my family.

The carriage ride to my Aunt and Uncles house took an hour so I settled in comfortably reading a book I had brought with me though I couldn’t really concentrate. My mind kept wandering back to Philip.

Recently, he’d been much more distant, ever since he’d got his new girlfriend. It wasn’t a rare thing for Philip to disappear for a day or two with a new girlfriend, as I’d been told multiple times by multiple women, he was very attentive in bed. But this time things were different, he didn’t write me once in the last week. He was barely home and when he was he was talking to his father about some college work then leaving straight after.

Angelica and Mrs Hamilton said that they had met this mystery girl once. Apparently, she was a barmaid in downtown Manhattan. She was beautiful, small curvy frame flawless skin and the most captivatingly bright blue eyes. A spout of jealousy grew within me as I thought about her. She was taking my best friend!

The more I thought about it the more I began to question my affections. Maybe I felt something more than friendship for the eldest Hamilton. No, I couldn’t! Sure, we’d shared a drunken kiss once or twice but there was nothing more than friendship… right? My head was in a spin, I couldn’t keep my mind focused on anything else. Maybe Father was right, men and women cannot just be friends.

I arrived at the house within the hour and everyone was already there, waiting for me to arrive. My father was waiting for the door and helped me out of the carriage. He smiled and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.

“How is my birthday girl?” He asked kindly,

“I’m well, how was your meeting with Senator Schuyler?”

“Good, everything went to plan. I also had a chance to meet the men I chose for you to meet tonight,”

“Y/n, we’ve had this talk on countless occasions before. I will not stand for my only daughter being nearly twenty and not wed. I would like to meet my grandchildren,” He said, seriously. I sighed, knowing there was no way out of this now. My father nodded in agreement to my silence on the matter and held out his hand for me to take. I did and together we walked into the house and into the big reception room where everyone was waiting.

We descended down the stairs and every clapped politely. Looking around I noticed a few of my friends, Lindsay, Hannah, Mary, Madeline but there was one person missing. Philip. I was disappointed, I really missed he’d come, I missed him so much and I hoped tonight I would at least get to see him. All was not lost, I would still have a great time.

The music began playing and I wove my way through the crowd of people, saying hellos and introducing various people to each other as I went then I got to my friends who quickly handed me a drink of champagne.

“Y/n!” Madeline squealed as she gave me a quick hug. “Happy Birthday,”

“Thank you,” I smiled.

“Happy Birthday!” Lindsay, Hannah and Mary sang together as they returned to the little group.

“So… Have you met any of your suitors yet?” Hannah teased.

“No, and I plan on keeping it that way for as long as possible,”

“Well, you haven’t even met me yet,” A smooth voice said from behind me. I turned around and saw the most gorgeous man I’d ever seen. He was tall and very fit. He had surprisingly long dark hair and matching eyes that I seemed to get lost in, “Hi, I’m Thomas,”

“Y/n,” I said quickly after realising that I had been staring. “I’m Y/n,”

“I know, your father said you’d be here,” Thomas smiled, “I hope you don’t mind me taking your gorgeous friend for a while ladies?”

“Oh no, be our guest,” Mary giggled giving me a little push closer to Thomas.

“Have fun!” My friends called after me, I glanced back at them and grinned. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad after all.

We danced for while then Thomas took me upstairs and out to the small baloney which looked over the city park.

“It’s beautiful out tonight,” He commented as he leant against the metal railing.

“Quite,” I agreed. There was silence for a moment before Thomas piped up again.

“It’s quite odd for someone of your status to be un-wed,”

“Well I suppose I’m picky,” I shrugged.

“But can someone like you really afford to do that?”

“Excuse me?” I moved away from him, my hands on my hips in disgust.

“Well, you aren’t going to get any better looking you?”

“Are you calling me ugly, sir?”

“But I’m not going get any better than you? Excuse me sir but what exactly is so attractive about you?”

“You forget who my family is, Y/n,” Thomas hissed grabbing my arm roughly, taking me by surprise.

“You forget who mine is Thomas,” I growled back.

We stared at each other angrily, Thomas still holding a strong grip on my arm. Eventually, I ripped it away and stepped out his way.

“I suggest you leave before I shout for my father,” I said. Thomas glared at me but walked away.  I turned away from the doorway and angrily ripped the leaves off the climbers growing up to the balcony.

I thought I had a chance with Thomas, he was handsome and literally the definition of my type. Except for the fact he was a massive asshole. Of course, my father would choose someone like that. I could go back to the girls and forget about the whole situation. But there would be others, maybe ones even worse than Thomas so I decided to stay where I was on the balcony, angrily picking leaves off the plants climbing the railings.

“Miss L/n?” A voice said from behind me, still annoyed with what had just happened I did not even bother to turn around.

“Leave me alone,” I said bitterly.

“But I brought you a beer?”

Only one person would ever bring me a beer. It was Philip. I turned around and gasped happily when I saw it was him. He put his glasses down and gave me a big hug.

“I thought you weren’t coming? Father said-“

“You’re Father forbid me from coming tonight, I know, but I couldn’t miss out on your party could I?”

“He’ll kill you if he finds out you’re here,”

“At least I die a happy man,” Philip smiled, his hands were still on my waist and there was something different about the way he was looking at me. It was almost lovingly.

“Philip, are you alright?”

“I’ve never been better,”

“Where’s Annabeth?”

“Annabeth? Oh, she couldn’t come tonight,” Philip said uncomfortably.

“Why not? I thought you really liked her,”

“I did, she was gorgeous but she has nothing on you,” Philip took my hand and looked me straight in the eye, “Absolutely nothing,”

“Are you okay Philip? You’re acting rather odd,”

“I’m not. I’ve just finally got up the courage to finally say this to you,” He took a deep breath and swallowed down his nerves. I waited anxiously for what he was going to say. “You’re beautiful Y/n. Every single thing about you is perfect and I don’t know why I didn’t realise how in love I was with you.” Philip gave a short laugh and shook his head, “Maybe that’s why I sleep with those women, I’m just trying to get the thought out of my head that I do in fact love you. And I’m not talking like a best friend. I am absolutely completely in love with you. I think that’s what the problem is, my affections for you are way too much for me to fully comprehend. I don’t care anymore whether you see me in the same way or not because I just had to tell you, Y/n,”

“Mr Hamilton,” A voice called from the hallway and Philip let go of me. I frowned and gave him a worried look, “Mr Hamilton I know you’re still here,”

“I’m sorry Y/n, I have to go,” He quickly placed a kiss on my cheek and checked round the corner to see my father and two other men walking down the corridor. “I’ll see you tomorrow morning, I promise,”

With that, he jumped over the railing and I hid just beside the door so the men walked past. I watched as Philip successfully landed on the grass below and blew a kiss up to me.

This would definitely be a birthday to remember.

It wasn’t like Annabeth hadn’t been warned about him.

In New Rome, there was just one unofficial rule to surviving and thriving for demigods and mortals alike.

Avoid the son of Neptune. At all costs.

- Reyna and Annabeth bond over their love of hot chocolate and hot-messes-of-friends who are trying (and failing) to run the demigod camps
- Reyna doesn’t like Annabeth that much when they first meet
- She can’t understand how anyone so smart would date that sweet, kind-hearted doofus child named Percy Jackson
- She eventually grows to love Annabeth’s sense of humour and smile and witty intelligence
- Annabeth doesn’t understand why Jason never dated Reyna (she’s super strong, crazy smart, beautiful, kind, stubborn)
- Doesn’t understand until she hears Jason’s stories of trying to set Reyna up with a couple of girls in the legion
- For which, he says, he got smacked in the back of the head
- “how was I supposed to know she didn’t want me to set her up with a cute girl after she told she was gay? I’m her best friend, that’s my JOB.”
- Annabeth is a little surprised, but then she notices Reyna staring at Calypso’s butt and getting a little discombobulated whenever a really cute girl talks to her
- Annabeth finds herself flirting with Reyna just to mess with her
- Reyna is slightly offended but also not because a cute girl is flirting with her
- Percy has changed a lot since their trip through Tartarus
- Annabeth and Percy slowly drift apart after the war with Gaea
- They start fighting a lot and they can’t figure out what’s wrong
- They’re not really sure why, but they end up going their separate ways
- Reyna is the first person Annabeth goes to after the breakup
- She holds Annabeth as she cries, wraps her up in a blanket, makes her some hot chocolate, and calls Hazel and Piper over for a girls’ night
- They don’t ask questions, they just bring takeout and feel good movies over to Reyna’s quarters and they all cuddle together on the couch and watch movies
- Annabeth is squished closest to Reyna and she falls asleep with her head in Reyna’s lap
- Piper and Hazel take over Reyna’s bed (Reyna doesn’t ask any questions)
- Reyna doesn’t have the strength to wake Annabeth up, so she ends up falling asleep with her hand tangled in Annabeth’s hair
- She wakes up early with Annabeth curled around her and snoring softly, so she goes back to sleep
- Piper and Hazel wake them up while whispering and giggling and just being super attached to each other (Reyna finds it so cute it’s gross)
- Annabeth slowly removes herself from Reyna and apologizes for grabbing on so tight
- Reyna doesn’t mind one bit, but she just tells Annabeth “it’s fine, I totally understand. If you need anything, just let me know”
- And Piper gives Reyna a knowing smirk but Anabeth just smiles shyly and thanks her
- Reyna and Annabeth start spending a lot of time with each other over the next few weeks
- Reyna tells herself it’s only because Annabeth needs a friend, but she lets Annabeth cuddle with her whenever she needs to
- Annabeth is so thankful for Reyna and for some reason she’s started to notice a weird tingling feeling in her stomach whenever she sees Reyna??? and she doesn’t know why
- Annabeth finds herself really really looking forward to their movie nights and hot chocolate dates and walks through New Rome
- They don’t fall asleep on the couch anymore, now they have the frame of mind to lay down on the bed when they start to fall asleep during the movie
- Annabeth and Reyna both wonder to themselves if this is how normal best friends act, if normal best friends cuddle and fall asleep together in bed
- They both decide that it has to be normal, there’s nothing weird about it
- One day Annabeth grabs Reyna’s hand and pulls her along to make her walk faster so they can get to Leo’s party faster and the contact makes Reyna’s stomach flip
- When they finally get to the party, Reyna interlaces their fingers and looks at Annabeth to make sure it’s okay and Annabeth just smiles really big and runs her thumb over Reyna’s hand and everything’s just right
- A few weeks pass and they don’t really discuss it or mean to but their relationship gets a lot more touchy
- They’re not afraid to grab each other’s hand or to hug each other randomly and they no longer question if it’s weird to cuddle with your best friend
- Neither of them know exactly what their relationship is
- Reyna wants the relationship to be more than just friends, but she doesn’t want Annabeth to think she was just using her the whole time
- And Annabeth is so fucking in love with Reyna it’s not even funny and when she realizes it she tells herself that she really needs to tell Reyna before she does anything stupid and scare Reyna off because it’s possible that Reyna has no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and she doesn’t want to overstep her bounds
- Reyna plans to ask just what in the world their relationship actually is one night during movie night
- Which is also the same night Annabeth was planning on asking Reyna out on a date
- So they’re both super hella awkward that night and can’t figure out why the other person is acting so weird
- Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano, Praetor of Camp Jupiter and Daughter of the war goddess Bellona actually gets nervous and trips over her words and spills popcorn and Annabeth can’t help but laugh at this beautiful and adorable dork in front of her
- Annabeth Chase, Daughter of the Wisdom goddess Athena herself, can’t quite gather up the courage to say anything before the movie starts
- Reyna doesn’t pay any attention at all to the movie and when Annabeth asks her a question about it she doesn’t even know what was said or what’s going on
- Annabeth waves a hand in front of her face “Reyna? Are you okay? You look a little si-”
“I love you.” Reyna blurts out before she can stop herself
- Annabeth is taken aback and isn’t really sure what to say and Reyna is freaked out by her silence and then proceeds to disentangle herself from Annabeth and tries to get up from the couch all while apologizing profusely and saying that of course she misread the signs and that she’ll go back to her own place and that Annabeth never has to see her again
- But then Annabeth smiles and grabs ahold of Reyna’s hand and pulls her back to the couch, intertwining their fingers
- They’re both silent for a few moments as Reyna tries to avoid looking anywhere but directly at Annabeth and she’s expecting to hear that Annabeth loves her too, that she always has, but only as a friend
- When she finally looks at Annabeth she sees Annabeth staring at her lips
- And suddenly Reyna is excited and extremely confused
- Annabeth opens her mouth to reply with “I love you t-” but before she can finish Reyna’s mouth is on hers and it’s basically the best thing ever
- She really likes grabbing at Reyna’s flannel and Reyna really likes grabbing at Annabeth’s hoodie and it’s a lot to take in all at once
- They eventually need air and when they break apart they realize that Reyna somehow ended up straddling Annabeth’s hips and that Reyna’s flannel shirt is gone and Annabeth’s hand is on Reyna’s stomach
- Reyna rests her forehead on Annabeth’s and whispers “I love you so much”
- Annabeth whispers “I love you too” in between gentle kisses and while running her hand over Reyna’s abs
- For some reason Piper shows up at Annabeth’s door the next morning, banging on it incessantly before unlocking it herself and following a trail of clothes to Annabeth’s bedroom to find Annabeth and Reyna peacefully sleeping in the bed, curled around each other and very much clothes-less
- Piper clears her throat and scares the absolute shit out of both women in the bed
- Annabeth almost falls out of the bed
- Then she proceeds to yell at Piper for five minutes while Piper laughs and Reyna sits back and just smiles at her girlfriend and best friend
- After allowing just enough verbal abuse towards Piper, Reyna snakes an arm around Annabeth’s stomach and peppers kisses across her shoulders, trying to calm her down
- Annabeth is startled and not amused “Rey! Piper is RIGHT THERE” and when Reyna just pulls her back towards the mattress to hug her close Annabeth tries to glare at Piper but she’s having a hard time and instead just manages to get out the words “Go away now and don’t tell anyone and we’ll forget this happened”
- Piper giggles and says “Bye love birds”
- When they finally make it out of bed and into the public to eat lunch, Hazel winks at Reyna and high fives Annabeth, Jason shouts “IT’S ABOUT TIME” from across the pavilion, Leo shouts something inappropriate and Piper and Hazel have to hold back Annabeth and Reyna so they don’t attack him, Calypso smacks Leo and then congratulates them, and everyone goes to see Frank for some reason and it looks like money is changing hands, but Reyna decides not to ask what’s going on
- They’re just really cute together
- They steal each other’s clothes and cuddle a lot and they love to watch movies together and drink hot chocolate and kiss a whole bunch
- Annabeth knows judo and Reyna asks her to teach her some
- It becomes one off their favourite couple activities
- A few years later, Reyna retires and decides to go to college in New Rome
- The retirement ceremony is really beautiful and Piper and Annabeth and Leo all cry while Hazel hugs them all and playfully rolls her eyes at Reyna
- Reyna is happy to pass the job on to Frank, she knows he’ll be fantastic at it
- Frank is really happy and definitely the captain of the Reynabeth ship
- Piper insists that she’s the captain, and they argues so Leo and Reyna suggest they just co-captain the ship
- They finally agree to it
- Annabeth is the one to propose to Reyna
- She does it at none other than the coffee shop where they love to have hot chocolate dates
- Of course Reyna says yes and there’s lots of hugging and cheering and kissing

  • Nico: (whispering) Alright, you know what? That’s it. You’ve had your chance.
  • Percy: Wha-what?
  • Nico: (out loud) Jason! Annabeth! Percy smoked pot in Jason's dorm!
  • Jason and Annabeth: What?!
  • Ross: (in a 5 year old’s tone) You are such a tattletale! Jason, Annabeth, you remember that-that time you walked in Jason's room and smelled marijuana?
  • Jason and Annabeth: Yes. (They look at him angrily.)
  • Percy: Well I told you it was Nico who was smoking the pot but it was me. I’m sorry.
  • Annabeth: It was you?
  • Nico: Yeah and Jason, I didn't melt your records. Percy did!
  • Jason: (to Percy) Is that true?
  • Nico: And Jason, y’know that mailman that you got fired? He didn’t steal your packages! Percy did!
  • [Jason and Annabeth stare at Percy. Percy looks at them with an afraid, shocked look.]
  • Percy: Yeah, well, Hurricane Sandy didn’t break the porch swing, Nico did!
  • [They glare at Nico.]
  • [Leo, Piper, and Reyna are sitting at the table, looking at the other like they’re weirdos.]
  • Nico: Percy hasn’t worked in a year!
  • [Jason and Annabeth glare at Percy.]
  • Percy: Nico and Jason are living together!
  • [Leo, Piper, and Reyna gasp]
  • [Nico and Jason both are shocked. Percy gives Nico a “take that!” look.]
  • Nico: Percy married Annabeth in Vegas! And got divorced! Again!!!!
  • [Percy and Annabeth glare at Nico.]
  • Piper: (joining in) I love Jason Bateman!
  • Reyna: (reading the recipe magazine, finally figuring out that...) I wasn’t supposed to put beef in the trifle!
  • Leo: (pounding the table) I wanna gooooooo!

Headcannon that percy actually really likes seafood and doesn’t tell anybody because he’s ashamed.

This is honestly a pretty interesting headcanon but anyways:

-It happens by mistake, he’s eating pizza with his friends and eats the one with seafood toppings on it.

-He’s instantly hooked and when he knows he’s alone, he goes to a seafood restaurant.

-He always feels extremely guilty afterwards and gives Poseidon extra offerings that next meal.

-This goes on for like months.

-Finally Annabeth asks him what he wants for dinner and he immediately replies “Seafood” not thinking.

-Annabeth just kinda looks at him funny and just shrugs, saying “Okay.”

-Percy is immediately like “How are you not feaking oUT?”

-Annabeth just responds that its whatever, and once everyone else finds out, everyone is fine with it.

-In fact the only that’s salty (pun intended) about it is Poseidon who just kinda gives Percy a glare when he first finds out/

-Percy also swears that it always ends up raining right after he eats seafood.

So Long and Goodnight (Percy Jackson x Reader)

Pairing: Percy Jackson x Reader

Genre: Angst, Romance

Word Count: 1,015

Summary: The Battle of Manhattan is drawing near and Percy just wants you to be safe, but what about him?

You stumbled into the Empire State Building otherwise known as “home base”. The Battle of Manhattan had only just begun and yet many campers were already injured too many, in fact. Their numbers were dropping drastically. “Maybe we can’t do this” you thought hopelessly. You had small scratches all over your arms and were covered in dirt and sweat. Your weapon was hung loosely in your hand as you walked past all of the hurt campers. You saw familiar faces everywhere. Some half-siblings, some friends, maybe even some foes. There were no foes anymore. They were a united front, united against that monster hiding behind mask of deceit and betrayal. You needed to find Percy. To strategize, to discuss, to know that he’s still alive. You raised your head up above the sea of heads around you. Somehow, you managed to see a mop of raven black hair.

“Percy” you whispered to yourself before you ran over to him.

He turned towards you as you were approaching him. “Y/N” he said and hugged you to him close when you landed in his arms. “Are you hurt? Do you need help?” he asked, panicked.

“I’m fine. How about you?” You checked his face for any sign of injury.

“I’m ok. I need to talk to you about something. Follow me” he said so low only you could hear. He removed his hands from your waist and grabbed your hand. He led you to a secluded room that held some provisions such as spare bandages and water.

“What’s wrong?” You questioned. Percy has taken both your hands now and were looking down at them.

“I can’t let you do this” His sea green eyes met your (e/c) ones. You held each other’s gaze for a while.

“What do you mean?” Can’t let you do what?

“Fight. Y/N if you get hurt and I’m not there to help you…,” his eyes began to water, “I don’t know what I’d do with myself.”

“Percy don’t be crazy! I could never leave you and you need me in the fight” your cheeks felt wet.

He brought your hands to his chest. “Can you honestly look me in the eyes and say you won’t get hurt? That nothing will happen to you?” he looked so desperate. You knew you couldn’t say it. Nothing was guaranteed. Not your life or Percy’s or anyone’s. You swallowed hard.

“You can’t. We both know it. Please don’t fight Y/N! I can’t bear the thought of anything happening to you,” he pleaded, “stay and heal the wounded. At least I’ll know you’re safe.”

“What about you? How can I stay here knowing you’re risking your life!” you protested.

He pulled you close and kissed you softly. His lips were slightly chapped but it was filled with love none the less. He pulled away slowly.

“I won’t let it happen. As long as I know you’re waiting for me, they can’t keep me from you” he whispered. His forehead was resting against yours and his breath ghosted over your face.

“Ok,” you agreed reluctantly, “but I better see you again Seaweed Brain.”

“Deal” He smiled and pulled you in for another kiss. You tried to savor the moment with his mouth on yours, knowing it was going to be the last peaceful moment for quite some time. You two parted and shared a few more words. Not many, only three each.

I love you

You wiped the sweat off your brow as you finished bandaging up a nasty gash on the side. The patient seemed to be doing well after being fed some ambrosia. You were about to move on to the next when the whole building shook violently. Medical supplies flew off the shelves and the standing campers fell to their knees. Outside the window you could see bright rays of light shine through from above. Soon everything had settled and it was eerily quiet. Nobody dare to move a muscle. This has to do with Kronos. I should have stayed to fight.

You could hear a faint clip-clop steadily grow louder as a figure approached. Grover was standing at the front of the room. All eyes were on him and seemed like everyone was holding their breath in anticipation.

“Kronos has been vanquished!” he yelled. The floor cheered so loud they probably lost their voices. You were ecstatic but where was Percy?

You walked over to Grover who was smiling with his mouth but not his eyes. As if he were somewhere distant on the inside. Annabeth had come down a minute ago and was with Grover when you walked up to the pair.

“Hey Y/N! It’s finally over, huh?” Annabeth sighed. Grover looked nervous.

“Yeah! Um, where’s Percy?” you questioned, smiling. The grin dropped from Annabeth’s face and Grover wasn’t able to look at you.

“He, uh,” Annabeth started, “he didn’t make it.”

You felt broken. Your whole word was crumbling down and you were about to get caved in. Your face went blank and you felt tears welling up into your eyes.

“He stayed back to fend off the monsters while Annabeth handled Luke,” Grover choked out, “I’m sorry Y/N.”

You stayed still. You couldn’t move. You couldn’t feel. Your arms hung lazily at your sides as tears rolled down your face on after the other. You didn’t bother to wipe them away. Annabeth hugged you but you kept your arms to your sides.

“Thank you for telling me” you said almost inaudibly but I you think they got the message. You slowly trudged away into a corner. You sat down against the wall and stared at a single white tile. You felt empty, a shell of who you used to be.

He said he would come back.

He said he wouldn’t let them take him.

Now you were haunted by his memory and how you will never see that messy black hair or those gorgeous sea green eyes or his contagious smile. You had one finally thought before you let the darkness of sleep take you.

It’s all my fault.

my fic for the @pjosecretsanta2016
thank you to the beautiful mods for organising it, you did such an amazing job at such a busy time of year and i really appreciate it!!!!

merry christmas to @tinyamren , i hope you enjoy this 5k words magical percabeth au and are having a wonderful holiday season (✿◠‿◠)

Annabeth came to terms with the fact that she didn’t have magic a long time ago.

If she had to pinpoint the moment, she’d probably tell you it was when she was seven and overheard her father talking about how even when she was particularly emotional she didn’t display any signs of accidental magic, but secretly she knew that she didn’t fully accept it until she was twelve.

She got cornered in an alleyway by some vicious bullies and she still couldn’t summon any magic to help her. Not that she needed it, in the end - she’d found a hammer that had done just as good a job of persuading them to shut up as any spell would have.

Not everyone had magic. In fact, very few people did. Only about ten percent of the population, was the estimate, although of course it was hard to get accurate figures when so many of them chose not to officially disclose their powers.

But Annabeth’s mother had been magical, and she took after her in every other possible way, so it had just sort of been assumed that the magic would come, too. When it didn’t, her father was relieved, glad to have some semblance of normalcy, while Annabeth was immensely disappointed.

If you’d asked, she probably would have told you that she got over it pretty quickly. Normal was fine, normal was easy, normal was as good as it was going to get. She never expected to feel that spark inside her, that tingling at the tips of her fingers, the overflow of energy pulsing through her and out into the universe.

And then she met Percy Jackson.

Dream-like Christmas time

Merry Christmas @percy-the-sorcerer ! It’s me! Your secret santa from the @pjosecretsanta2016 I hope you like your present Alex! My best wishes for you this beautiful day! I also totally recomend you to listen to TTS- Dear Santa korean version, the title of the fic is inspired by the song!

Inspired but the prompt: Character A’s little sibling/child wants to meet their favorite celebrity/writer/person for Christmas. Character B is said “Christmas present”. Huge shout out to @quietlykeen @lesbabeths @bananannabeth for helping me with my horrible grammar! They are the real heroes here.

Piper was still reading the letter, which made sense considering the fact that a six year old wrote it and it was hard to understand what it said. But she had been reading it for what it felt like forever to Percy, and he really needed her to talk to him.

“On the bright side, you do know her.” Piper finally said. “Or well, used to.”

Mia, Percy’s little sister, had asked Santa for Annabeth Chase, from the group Stardust, to have tea time with her on Christmas Eve. And it nearly gave Percy a heart attack. Stardust was the most popular girl group in the world, and Annabeth Chase wasn’t only the main vocalist of the group, but she was also his ex-best friend. The same ex-friend he hadn’t seen in almost 6 years, not since she stole his first kiss.

“She probably doesn’t care about me anymore.” Percy said. “And it’s not like I can call her and be like ‘Hey Annabeth! It’s me, Percy! I know we haven’t talked in years but I have a baby sister now and her dream is to met you! I know it’s Christmas Eve but I hope you can swing by. My mom lives in the same apartment, okay bye!’”

Piper shrugged. “You kind of can do that.”

He threw his pillow at her. “I don’t have her number anymore.”

“No, but your mom might have her old address saved in her address book.” Piper patted his shoulder. “You said she used to live in California, right? It would make sense for your mom to have her address, or well I guess by now it’s her dad’s address only, if you guys used to exchange letter.”

“It doesn’t matter, he probably moved out.”

“Or maybe he hasn’t. Perce you have the opportunity to make your sister’s dream come true. And not only that, you have the opportunity to reconnect with someone who means the world to you.”

Percy sighed and sat indian style on his bed.

Piper didn’t know much about his relationship with Annabeth— Percy didn’t want people knowing he used to be best friends with a celebrity —but during college Piper had become his best friend. She had found his pictures with Annabeth, the ones he used to have at his mom’s place, so he told her the basics: they met at a summer camp when they were seven years old, and were best friends by the end of the summer. They only saw each other during the summer but during the rest of the year they wrote letters to each other all the time. When they were ten years old,  her family moved to Boston and sometimes they got to visit each other for the weekend, but the letters didn’t stop until they were fifteen when her family moved to California. At that point, cellphones and emails started to become a thing, they didn’t feel they needed to exchange letters anymore. Annabeth went to camp for one more year before winning the most famous singing competition America had, and then he never saw her again.

finding myself in your arms (and bed)

hello! this is my first PJO fanfic so I hope I got the characters mannerism correct. this is based off a post by @fanfiction4geeks . I thought it was a perfect set up and found myself writing it. Hope you enjoy!

Annabeth wouldn’t exactly call herself adventurous when it came to college parties. Especially parties that included drinking contests which resulted in someone retching on the beautiful carpet floor of a fraternity home. But Annabeth also wouldn’t call herself an uneventful person. She did plenty of interesting things in her free time. She knit, read books, killed monsters, went to the coffee shop with her friends, hung out in the park, and kept up with the latest of TV. Trust her, Annabeth was anything but boring. And the monster part? We’ll get to that later.

Tonight, however, Annabeth felt a strange surge in her bones when her best friends, Piper and Thalia, had dragged her along with them to the final college party of the season. She’d protested, of course. Made stupid excuses like her latest project was due the next day or one of her siblings birthday was tomorrow. Neither excuse had worked, which meant Annabeth found herself wondering around the giant halls of the biggest fraternity house on campus.

Characterisation in HoO

Formerly titled: because lili’s headcanons hurt my heart

Okay so @lililibird did this and it made me emotional and we got chatting, and then she said this, because that first round of tags just wasn’t enough:

“Like it would start with everyone talking about Percy like he’s a god in TLH, and then Hazel and Frank and CJ acting like he’s basically the most amazing thing ever, and then the quest and everyone’s always screaming for Percy to save them bc he’s Percy and he can do anything and the DEVELOPMENT to make him seem human would have been stunning I’m not crying.”

And.. well… I got a bit carried away with my response and have decided to move the discussion to a place where word limits aren’t a thing.

Because this idea is incredible. Just imagine it - rather than Percy’s character development just stalling and then completely flatlining over the course of HoO (imo anyway) this would be such a great chance for us to see him coping with the pressure of being ‘the most powerful demigod’, as Nico said.

  • Can you imagine Hazel completely idolizing him like the best big brother in the entire world?? Always thinking to herself,  “Percy promised I’d be okay, he’s gonna get us out of this.” Having absolute faith in him and not noticing how terrified for her safety he really is, because he did promise her that and he can’t imagine how he’d live with himself if she ever got hurt.
  • Frank thinking Percy’s what a ‘real man’ should be and trying to imitate him and wishing that he had cool powers like Percy before he masters shapeshifting.
  • Jason seeing Percy as a real threat??? Like this guy just came from nowhere and was nominated as Praetor, the Roman demigods saw him almost single handedly save their whole camp - So not only has Jason been listening to CHB gush about Percy and how they miss him terribly for months, he gets back home and discovers that he’s essentially replaced him at Camp Jupiter. This needs to be explored more!! I know Jason’s a good guy and yeah, he was wary of Percy at the start, but come on. Give me a proper emotional confrontation, not a fight where they’re both possessed.
  • Piper seeing the way everyone hangs on every word Percy says, how he can inspire people to fight and be strong and rally the troops almost effortlessly. So she practices her charmspeak by repeating his speeches to herself in the mirror, wondering how he’s so comfortable, how he became such a natural leader.
  • Leo just being so jealous of everything Percy is. Older, taller, better looking, a better fighter, popular, with an amazing girlfriend. Resenting him because he’s everything Leo so desperately wants to be and he doesn’t even try and how is that fair? (Not because of that bull with Calypso.)
  • Nico’s crush on Percy hitting him full force again when he’s rescued from the jar, because would you look at that, Percy Jackson rescues him again, but then his heart breaks when he follows Annabeth into Tartarus. Give me Nico absolutely pining over this guy he has idolised for years, simultaneously hating him and loving him. Give me Nico agonising over his promise to lead the others to the House of Hades because he’s bitter about how much Percy loves Annabeth but at the same time of course he’s going to do it because he promised Percy and he couldn’t break that promise even if he really wanted to. Give me Nico getting over his crush not because he randomly starts thinking of Percy as immature (?????) but because he finally gets close enough to Percy to see him as a real person, so his hero worship can finally fade. Give me a gradual lessening of his heartache as that crush turns into a genuine friendship.
  • AND ANNABETH glorious Annabeth omg. So everyone else looks up to her almost as much as they do Percy, because she’s so perfect how could they not? (More comments about people finding her intimidating and impressive and experienced and the best ever please.) And she’s taking it in stride a bit easier than Percy because she’s used to being head counsellor already. But Percy’s trying to be everything for everyone and he’s holding it together (barely) and he’s sO PROTECTIVE OF HER like ridiculously so, he’s always checking on her and he never wants her to go anywhere without him and it’s cute at first but then one night he gets in her way and she just SNAPS and is like, “Wth is wrong with you, Percy? I can take care of myself, have you forgotten the past five years??”
  • And he’s like, “Oh thanks, Annabeth, nice word choice!!” and it turns into this massive fight and everything comes out, like how terrified he is at the prospect of losing her again, how he knows she can take care of herself but he can’t bring himself to risk it, how he’s already looking after everyone else on this gods damned ship so why shouldn’t he look after her too huh?? And he’s crying and she’s crying because she had no idea it was this bad and she just holds him and tells him he doesn’t have to take all this on himself because it’s not his responsibility, they’re a team and they have to work as a team.
  • “But annabeth,” he says, “every team needs a leader, a captain, someone in charge.”
  • “I am obviously captain, Seaweed Brain. You’re the first mate, and that’s only if you behave yourself.”
  • Things get a little better after that, but percy’s protectiveness still rears it head whenever there’s a conflict.

Oh man I could keep going with this forever, I’m so sorry this completely got away from me and turned into an incoherent rant.

Percabeth Headcanon #3

Annabeth and Percy liked to practice together. They were the only people who could put up a good fight against each other. It was hard to beat the other one when they knew your fighting style so well. They usually practiced when they both had a bad night, to blow off steam, but sometimes they just wanted some competition. Today was a day like that. It was also the hottest day of the summer. By the third fight they were both a little sweaty. Annabeth had beat Percy the last two times. Percy was determined to beat Annabeth at least once.

“Wait. Wait Annabeth,” he said before she could strike first.

“Had enough already Seaweed Brain,” she said leaning towards him.

“No,” Percy said backing away from her. “Just give me a second.” He turned away from her. He stabbed Riptide into the ground and grabbed the hem of his shirt. He grinned when he heard Annabeth gasp in realization at what he was going to do to her. He pulled off his shirt while turning to Annabeth to give her a view of everything. When he was fully turned to Annabeth and shirtless he tossed his shirt to her. She barely caught it.

“This is so unfair,” she said throwing his shirt at his face. He laughed and threw it to the side. Stepping towards her with Riptide raise, “Ready?” he asked.

“Yes,” she replied before knocking Riptide to the side and stepping closer to him. Percy grabbed her wrist spun her around and pinned her to his body. She struggled but it didn’t really seem like she wanted to get away from him.

“Little distracted Annabeth? You know you need to be focused in a fight.” Percy whispered into her ear loosening his gripped just a bit. Annabeth took this moment and grabbed his wrist. She use all her strength to throw him over her. He was on his back on the ground in two seconds. Annabeth straddled his hips holding his wrists above his head. Riptide and her sword laying a couple of feet away.

“Tap out Percy. I won again,” she said trying to keep eye contact, but her eye kept drifting down to bare chest, which was lifting up and down as he breathes heavily after being judo flipped.

“I don’t think you did Wise Girl, not yet anyway,” he said looking straight into her grey eyes.

“I don’t know. I think I win either way,” she said tilting her head down to get a better look at his chest that was gleaming with sweat. Percy took this moment where Annabeth was distracted, brilliantly he might add, to push her off of him. In four seconds Annabeth was laying on the ground and Percy was grabbing both of their swords. Percy had both of them to Annabeth’s throat by the time she got up.

“Tap out Annabeth. Two out of three isn’t that bad,” Percy said. Annabeth put her hands up, surrendering, and took a step closer to Percy. She tapped his chest twice before filling the gap between them. She put both her hands on his chest and kissed him hard and long. When she pulled back they were both breathing heavily.

“I still think I won,” she whispered in his ear before slipping around him and walking to the ocean. She was already taking off her shirt to reveal the grey bikini she had on, the one Percy loved. It was almost like she knew this would happen.

“Coming Seaweed Brain? I think I need to cool off,” she turned around and threw her shirt at him. Percy didn’t catch it. He was too distracted. Percy took two steps towards Annabeth before he stumbled.

“Close your jaw Seaweed Brain, it’s dragging on the ground and making you trip.” she said taking her shorts off. Percy finally snapped out of it, shaking his head. He dropped both the swords and ran to Annabeth picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder. He didn’t stop until they were both in the water. Annabeth was giggling and Percy was smiling like a maniac. He grabbed her waist and pulled her closer, looking into her eyes.

“What are you thinking about?” Annabeth finally asked. He leaned down so that there lips brushed.

“I was just thinking about how I won.” Percy whispered into Annabeth’s lips before kissing her.

Hey guys! Since my dark!percy headcanons reached 100 notes in one day (!!!!!) I’ve decided to continue them. Hope you like these ones!

Here is the link to part 1 if you didn’t read it. (sorry I don’t have a fancier way to post the link, I’m on mobile.)

And part 3:

-As soon as they got out of Tartarus, Annabeth knew that was it for them.
-What Percy had done…
-‘No,’ she reasoned with herself. ‘This is Percy. My Percy. We’ll make it through this. Together.’
-But then he left.
-She watched him run off, but she couldn’t bring herself to run after him. -Instead, she turned towards the Doors. She rested her hand on them.
-Annabeth felt the blood pulsing through her ears. She cried out, but could not hear herself. She banged her fists against the Doors, sank to her knees, hot tears streaming down her face.
-Piper knelt down beside her a few minutes later, coaxing her to get up and come with them. When she didn’t move, Jason pulled her up and got her back to the Argo II.

-3 days. Annabeth stayed in her cabin three days before she finally emerged.
-She pretended like nothing happened. Pretended to be her old self. No one dared mention Percy, and they completed the quest without him.
-Things were particularly rough when Leo died. Everyone was in mourning, but Annabeth couldn’t bring herself to feel anything for him.
-To avoid the worried, pitying looks everyone gave her, she took to her cabin. She would spend day and night in there, drafting new architectural designs. She rarely slept, and would only eat on occasion if she noticed someone had brought her a plate.
-After two weeks of this, Chiron came to visit her.
-“Annabeth, I can’t imagine… gods, I am so sorry. You did not deserve this. But you can’t continue like this. Please, come back outside. We’ll work through this.”
-She refused, and he finally left her to her work.

-About another month passed, and it had gotten worse.
-She started losing time, having flashbacks from Tartarus.
-She’d wake up from these spells with drawings all over her drafting paper, things she had seen, Arachne, Percy’s face…
-Dionysus actually came to see her one afternoon. Whether it was of his own accord or Chirons prompting, she wasn’t sure. But she did know, he was being uncharacteristically kind.
-“Annabeth,” he began, “I can help you. I can take away these horrible images. I can make you forget it all.”
-“How much would I forget?”
-“Probably everything after the Titan war ended. There’s so much suffering, I would need to buffer it to make sure nothing would spark it back.”
-She thought about it a minute. She could make all the pain go away. But she would forget her friends. She would dishonor Leo by forgetting him, she would forget Piper and Hazel and Jason and Frank. She would forget all that Percy had done. She would go through that withdrawal again.
-“Why do you want to help me?” She asked Dionysus.
-“I am the got of the mentally ill. And I’m not cruel. I see what this is doing to you. The rest of the gods and I agree, it isn’t fair to allow one of the heroes who has done so much for us to sit and suffer.”
-She thought about it, but ultimately refused. She couldn’t forget her friends. She couldn’t forget the good moments she and Percy had had. The four months they were together. When she found him. Their night in the stable. She couldn’t let it go.
-Dionysus left, saying “you know where I am if you change your mind.”
-The few times she was outside her cabin and ran into him, it was as if that meeting hadn’t happened. She was back to being Annie Belle. That is, until she’s catch that knowing look in his eyes.

-Three months had passed. She had nothing left to draft. No ideas. She sat over her table, occasionally waking up to more drawings she didn’t remember sketching.
-Then that day happened. The day she didn’t think would ever happen.
-The door squeaked, and she ignored it.
-“You,” Malcolm begins. “How dare you come back here. You have no right-”

-“Get out,” A familiar voice says.
-“Like hell,” Malcolm replies.
-But then Annabeth whispers “it’s okay.”

-Her voice is raspy and uneven.
-She hears Malcolm leave.

-Percy walks over to Annabeth cautiously, and kneels down beside her. She can feel him looking at her, but she can’t look at him. She can’t do it.
-But then he turns her towards him.
-His hair is a mess and needs a cut. He wears a black tee shirt and a pair of jeans. His skin looks weathered. There are frustrated frown lines etched into his face, and his eyes hold a fire that terrify her. It’s the fire she saw back in the pit.
-“Oh, Annabeth,” he whispers.
-For a second, she thought she heard her Percy. But no. That Percy is gone. Died in the deepest pits of hell three months ago. This is the rage filled remains of a broken boy.

-He places his hand against her cheek.

-Suddenly, she is filled with rage. -“You promised,” she whispers. “You promised ‘never again,’ but you keep leaving. We needed each other and you fucking left… Get out.”

-When he doesn’t move, she screams “Get out!” She lunges for a knife Malcolm had gotten for her and slashes him across his cheekbone.

-He stumbles backward out of the cabin, stunned.

-She falls to the floor, sobbing violently. She curls into herself.
-“I can’t do this anymore,” she wheezes to herself. “I can’t.”
-She pulls out a pencil, and writes herself a note on the drafting paper.
-She tells herself she’s sorry. She tells herself not to go looking for answers. She tells herself to trust Piper and Jason and Hazel and Frank. She tells herself to forget Percy Jackson.
-She writes a second note to Piper. She instructs her not to tell her anything about Percy, no matter how hard she begs. She seals that note, and slips it under the Aphrodite cabin’s door as she passes.
-She’s running now, as fast as she can towards the Big House. A heavy rain is falling down, but she doesn’t think about how that shouldn’t be possible. She just lets herself get soaked and runs.
-Dionysus is sitting at the table, playing pinochle with a few satyrs.
-“Miss Anna Bree-” he begins, but she cuts him off.
-“I can’t do it anymore. Dionysus, please, can you help me?”
-“If you are sure this is what you want, then of course. My offer still stands. Why don’t we go inside, Annabeth?”
-They go in one of the sick rooms on the second floor. He has her sit on the bed, and places his hand to her forhead.
-‘I’m sorry this happened to us, Percy. I’ll always love you,’ she thinks to herself.
-The room goes black.
