aghgkgl i finally finished this… nearly a year later sob sob OTL

espurr-enthusiast won the 500th Followers Giveaway from last year.

… I hope this is cute enough OTL

I couldn’t finish this sooner because of a severe lack of motivation. It took me weeks trying to think of a good pose, and then I tried to go lineartless. I overestimated how much I wanted to do that, and just put it away for months upon month. Of course, I felt guilty the whole time, and tried to pick it up… only to realize that I accidentally delete it.

But here we are! Started all over and Finished! I only hope they still like WatGBS sobosbo

(I wasn’t planning on finishing the first picture attempt, but I did liked how it looked. I’m really disappointed that it’s gone because I still wanted to post it, but I’m hoping I can find it somewhere)

I’m sory so sory 。:゜(;´∩`;)゜:。

The physics of playing guitar - Oscar Fernando Perez

Guitar masters like Jimi Hendrix are capable of bending the physics of waves to their wills, plucking melody from inspiration and vibration. But how do wood, metal, and plastic translate into rhythm, melody, and music? Oscar Fernando Perez details the physics of playing the guitar, from first pluck to that final shredding chord.

Fire in the Sky

I was brushing up on my knowledge of Hekate when my brain suddenly took the repeated mentions of:

  • Hekate’s twin flaming torches;
  • Her often being associated with moonless nights;
  • Her assisting Demeter’s search, in the night, with her twin torches;

…and unexpectedly mashed all three together like my brain was cosplaying the LHC or something.

Suddenly I end up with a theory that Hecate’s torches should really be associated with the aurora borealis.  This concept just popped up in my head and surprised me into doing some precursory research, and:

  • The northern lights are - very rarely - seen as far south as Greece
  • According to the reports listed above, it seems that the lights often show up in Greece as a red glow, red arcs or red columns/pillars in the sky
  • And finally, while a full moon usually won’t dampen an aurora show too badly…I’m not sure that still applies at latitudes where the aurora would be already barely visible.  So, my own intuition (which is mildly backed up by the timing of most of the reports in the first link) is that a moonless night would nearly be a requirement for the lights to be seen in Greece.

So, now Hekate is pretty much also the Lady of the Lights to me, and while this is basically UPG as far as I can tell, it definitely feels right as far as I’m concerned ^_^  What do y’all think?

- Lamborghini Diablo - My final shot from the Humber Car Cruise. Got lucky with this one. The car went by us real fast and then slowed down and began cruising right next to us. This gave me time to shoot it. This was taken on a busy freeway and thus there were a few cars in the shot but it wasn’t something that Photoshop and cloning could not fix. The owner liked the final picture a lot and requested a full-res copy of it. View On Black

2016 Toyota Prius: Full View Photos Finally Leaked

With the 2016 Toyota Prius scheduled to make its global debut in Las Vegas on the evening of September 8, you had to figure that photos of the car would leak out at some point.

And so they have.

After years of spy shots of camouflaged Prius development mules, pre-production prototypes, and test vehicles, now we can see the actual lines of the 2016 Prius.

DON’T MISS: 2016 Toyota Prius: Next Hybrid Aims For 55 MPG, More Room, Better Handling (Aug 2013)

The photos shown here came from a Facebook post submitted to the page for Prius Club Malaysia, which requires membership to view (via DPC Cars).

And as expected, the fourth-generation Prius has at least some styling cues from the rather more extreme Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle–especially at the rear.

The “floating” roof with a blacked-out pillar echoes the Mirai, as do the high taillights with angled lighting elements in them.

The Prius remains a very high-tailed hatchback, however, and continues to feature a second glass panel in the vertical part of the tailgate for better rearward visibility.

Toyota executives have said that the 2016 Prius will have fuel efficiency that’s at least 10 percent better than the prior model, which came in at 50 miles per gallon combined–so we can expect 55 mpg or better for the new model.

That’s due to a new engine with even higher levels of thermal efficiency, as well as Toyota’s characteristic refinements to cost, size, and efficiency of the electrical components.

The company has also suggested that the all-new Prius will be more rewarding to drive, perhaps with more road feel and tighter European roadholding and handling.

There will also be a new-generation Prius Plug-In Hybrid, with an electric range as high as 30 miles, but that car will lag the introduction of the conventional hybrid version by roughly a year.

The latest Prius is the first car to be built on an all-new component set–known as Toyota New Generation Architecture, or TNGA–that the company will use to cut development costs for the most expensive and time-consuming parts of a new car.

Those include front crash structures, suspension components, and other structural elements, which can be shared among vehicles of differing lengths, widths, wheelbases, and drive systems.

Volkswagen launched a similar system on the 2014 Audi A3 and 2015 Volkswagen Golf, and will eventually build up to 4 million cars a year using its MQB architecture.

Other carmakers are following suit as well, but Toyota’s ruthless ability to cut costs and keep corporate profits high makes this a particularly important innovation for the company.
