final season ; ;

There are some birthdays coming up that we’ve never celebrated on the show before that are going to finally be celebrated. It’s Oliver’s. Why not? It’s not going to be what you think it’s going to be, though, as is our standard.

“Life is more a matter of choosing than knowing. He could never know the eventual destination of his path, but he could always choose in which direction to take each step.”

― Matthew Woodring Stover, “Traitor”

WHO ELSE CRIED AT SATOS SACRIFICE?

Things I need in the season finale before Legion leaves us for who knows how long

1. David and Sydney saying they love each other. Let me be specific. I need David Haller to say “I love you” to Sydney Barrett. I need Sydney Barrett to say “I love you” to David Haller. This hasn’t happened since the first episode and I need it again. Saying “we’re in love” doesn’t count. Getting asked point-blank and confirming it (“You know I do”; “Yes”) doesn’t count. I want them to actually say it to each other,not just think it. BOTH of them. We understand each other, FX? Good. Moving on.

2. Amy and Sydney interaction. Now, I’m not saying Amy has to give David their mother’s wedding ring or tell him where to look in the old house to find it himself or some over-dramatic shit like that(although I wouldn’t complain). They don’t have to go on a shopping trip or get their nails done (like that would ever happen anyway). It doesn’t even have to be 100% positive. I just need to see some recognition in Amy that Sydney is David’s girlfriend and it’s the real deal. Whether she likes it or not, this girl is going to be a part of her life now for the long haul. Do I want Amy to love Sydney like the sister she never had and vice versa? Of course! But for right now, in the first season finale, it’s not mandatory. SOME recognition of the relationship is enough.

3. David and Sydney still being alive at the end of the episode. I care about the others, of course, but if either of these characters died so soon, my heart would never recover. Never. I said I would go down with this ship and so I shall. And it still counts if Sydney gets absorbed or whatever or Rachel Keller is used on the show in some other way, like how Audrey Plaza’s character died and yet she’s still around. Unless you actually get revived, dying is still dying and it will not be tolerated for David and Syd.

4. One last big “Whatthehellisthisshowwhatdidisignupfor” moment. Whether this is a dance number or a silent movie homage or what have you. The details aren’t important but I need one more sequence that would be fun to get high to before the hiatus.

I’ll probably think of others as we get closer to Wednesday. Stay posted for updates to this list!
