Synopsis: Between PG-13 horror, lifeless remakes, and dozens of ghost films, the world of scary movies has become quite dull. Re-introducing true horror to the world, a masked killer begins to address the common horror cliches and often bends them in his/her own twisted game. After being attacked, moral-bound Sidney Prescott is thrust into fear and danger, while her friends use their knowledge of horror films to discover who might be the next victim. It is up to Sidney, her mysterious boyfriend, her high-spirited friends, a devious news reporter, and an amateur cop to unmask the creative psycho. There will be dark secrets revealed, gripping suspense, masterful wit, blood-soaked terror, and plenty of screams.
The original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of my favorite horror films of all time and I’ve never been a fan of remakes and never will be but this is not a bad remake at all in my opinion. It changed enough to not be a complete remake but more of a re-imagining.
