Shiro’s back. Keith can hand over control and go back to his lion. No more lonely nightmare filled nights, no more having people second guess his every leadership command, everything is as it should be. Even the boiling rage at being abandoned again, that he desperately needs to find an outlet for before he explodes at an innocent Shiro.
The forest thing in order after getting Shiro back in the Black Lion, is a practice working as a team again. Keith does fine, maybe a little aggressive but fine, right up until it’s time to form Voltron. Keith can’t do it. He can’t open his mind and let Shiro see all that anger he’s bottling up. That’s the same as screaming at him for being kidnapped twice against his will.
They give up for the day. Heading back to the hangars. Keith doesn’t get out, he needs a minute before he faces the others. If he just had a couple days he knows he can get his emotions under control and he won’t need to hide his feelings from the rest of Voltron.
Shiro’s worried about Keith, and Red let’s him up to her cockpit to talk to him. Keith doesn’t want to. He wants to sort through this on his own. He goes to leave, but the door won’t open. Then the lights of the cockpit start going out one by one. Red is locking him in, until he and Shiro sort out Keith’s hurt feelings.
