figure it out amelia

Harlots Appreciation Week Day 2: Favorite Relationship Violet Cross & Amelia Scanwell

There’s a story about a feast in hell, where the forks are so long that people can’t reach their mouths, so all the diners starve to death. They don’t figure out that they can feed each other.

It wasn’t supposed to go like this.

The thing about being somewhat of a “celebrity” is that everyone wants a piece of you. And being in the spotlight comes with the expectation that you owe your fans something in return for their support. Kent loves social media. He loves Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, all of it. Which makes it a little easier to fill that expectation, to give his fans something more than just goals and wins. It certainly makes it easier for him than it is for guys like Jack, who seem to break out in hives just thinking about social media.

Kent’s 1.4 million followers on Twitter, 1.2 million followers on Instagram (2.5 million when you combine his account with Kit’s) and over 800K followers on Snapchat make him one of the most followed athletes in the world. He’s by far the most followed hockey player, with more followers than some of the NHL teams themselves. He keeps all three running pretty well. Mainly because he enjoys it, he loves sharing his life with his fans.

i am literally 100% sure that ultimately it was lily who asked james out like

  • james is matured and he’s like “okay you’re gonna ruin it all if you ask her out”
  • because they’re friends
  • honest to god friends
  • who actually talk and laugh and have meaningful conversations and honestly james doesn’t think he could handle it if he messed everything up
  • so he just kinda sits there in love with her
  • so in love
  • and lily’s over here like “i so do not love him”
  • “no really marlene we’re friends i don’t love him”
  • “okay yeah he smells really nice and i really love that thing he does with his hands when he’s thinking and it’s really really cute when he runs his fingers through his hair and have you seen the way his ass looks in those quidditch robes”
  • “but i do not love him”
  • and marlene’s like “you’re a fucking idiot”
  • and james decides that he has to at least try to move on so he starts dating amelia boot
  • and lily can’t figure out why it bothers her so much but she avoids them at literally all costs and she just can’t see them together and she sort of feels like she’s going to throw up and god fucking damn it she loves him
  • “don’t say i told you so marlene, you bitch”
  • “i soooo told you so”
  • but now james is with amelia and it’s too late and lily doesn’t know what to do
  • so she just kind of sucks it up and tries to hang out with him except it’s so hard because she really really wants to kiss him
  • (his lips look really soft)
  • but she can’t and it’s killing her and she kind of thinks amelia hates her?? or, at least, she sends her dirty looks from across the table
  • and james can’t figure out why amelia doesn’t like lily because everyone likes lily until one day amelia sits him down and asks him to stop talking to her
  • “you’re still in love with her, james, and you’ll only get over it if you stop talking to her”
  • james doesn’t think that’s physically possible
  • so they break up and sirius gives him a knowing look but james keeps quiet about the reason because the last thing he needs is for lily to find out that he still loves her
  • lily is ecstatic
  • “i think it’s kind of awful that you’re this happy about your friend breaking  up with his girfriend”
  • “shut up mary”
  • but they’re at the three broomsticks a month later and it’s just the two of them and they’re waiting for the usual bunch and lily decides she’s going to do it
  • she has to because she can’t live like this for the rest of her life. she can’t let james potter slip away
  • “do you love me?”
  • and oh shit it comes out so wrong that was not what she wanted to say not at all she was going to invite him to get butterbeer later and oh god her cheeks are turning the color of her hair and she thinks she’s going to sink into the chair
  • james thinks he might be dying
  • “do i what?”
  • lily’s already fucked it up this much, she might as well keep going
  • “do you love me? because i do. love you, i mean.”
  • and then she stares at her hands and waits
  • and waits
  • and waits
  • and then she looks up because what is taking the asshole so long to reply?
  • he’s just grinning at her. smiling, as if she’s just told him he’s won a million galleons or signed to play with the chudley cannons
  • “yeah, yeah i reckon i’ve loved you this whole time”
  • “pay up, moony. i told you she’d be the one to confess first”
  • “god damn it sirius”
Review - 14x04

Hey guys, @jordan202 here

So sorry for delay, it’s been a crazy week but today I finally found the time to sit down and write this. I gotta say, I had a great time rewatching the main scenes to write down this review.

As we foresaw, this season is not beating around the bush. This week’s episode starts with an amazing Omelia recap to get our hearts racing and we immediately see Amelia preparing for surgery.

I’m gonna put my Itunes on shuffle and write some synopsys for Greys season 14 eps based on the song

Because the writers are basically playing this game already anyway

14x01 Some Might Say

Following the events of the explosion, April meets a fireman from Shondaland’s new and EXTRA af show about Seattle firemen so people actually watch its first season and April Kepner is ratings material. Maggie tries talking to Jackson about their feelings, but can’t because that’s who Maggie is- she instead tells Webber. Owen, Amelia and Riggs go talk to Megan, but she has big time amnesia, so they don’t really know what happened to her. Meredith is telling everyone she’s okay with the Riggs things even though she’s not given that she has identity crisis when something’s not about her, so alex is on meredith-watch this ep.

14X02 Pompeii

Oh, shit. Okay so there’s got to be this specific Meredith voice-over about how cadavers in Pompeii are still basically untouched since the vesuvious erupted, and how that’s a metaphore for something- for Megan. She doesn’t remember what happened to her, so nothing changed for her. But it did for everyone else (omg). Jo treats a patient with terminal cancer who could have gotten better treatments but was experimenting on himself to see how far his trial could go, just like that dude who went to see the volcano for the science of it. She’s mad because he didn’t tell anybody, when he could’ve been helped- which is an analogy of her own life etc etc

14x03 Heaven Knows I’m Miserable now

Okay, I know this is like an insane idea, but what if Alex and Jo actually had a conversation? Bailey and Webber are working together because their relationship still needs restauration. Leah Murphy is back because since Stephanie is gone they need a character to be Jo’s friend. Maggie goes ask April for dating advice and April yells at her because I mean boundaries, she is not going to pimp jackson out for maggie. Amelia is trying to figure out what happened to Megan’s brain.

14X04 Try (just a little bit harder)

Amelia finds out something shocking about Megan’s past, and she wants to try hypnosys  to get all the story out of her. Deluca screws up and kills someone, because I really need him to leave. Arizona is anxious to see Eliza, who is visiting her on the weekend. Maggie finally gathers the courage to talk to Jackson, but gives up after spending the day in surgery with him and hearing him say he sees her as a sister when talking about how much he loves his family and that’s it, the end. Then she runs into Deluca after he just got fired and they kiss and get tgt again and leave the hospital forever. Bye felicia

14x05 Kick me when I’m high

Amelia saves Megan from whatever infection she had contracted that gave her amnesia. Everyone’s happy, but then we find out Megan’s still pissed at Riggs for cheating on her, which makes Riggs emo, which makes him cry at meredith’s shoulder because for real no character can pick anyone over meredith grey. Amelia finds out she’s pregnant and freaks out- luckily, April sees her taking the test, and they talk through it together. Even though they should’ve had the “my baby died hours after labour” conversation seasons ago, they can still have it now so April can comfort amelia and guide her through the pregnancy. Eliza cancels on Arizona, who hits on Leah, who shuts her down because of what happened last time. We find out Leah made an abstinence promise until she becomes a surgeon.

14x06 Something’s gotta give

Jackson is jealous of april and 4 dimensional love interest from the new shonda show. Alex helps Jo with asking for divorce. Meredith and Riggs have ~a moment~ or whatever.

14x07 Mr. Brightside

Oh my god yasss

Okay so this means Jackson is even more jealous. Owen is emo about Megan so April helps him bringing in a weirdass trauma case. Meredith is annoyed with a terminal patient who is a ray of sunshine and loves everyone; goes on one of the dark and twisty rants to Amelia. Amelia tells her she’s pregnant and Meredit’hs conflicted about it because she cannot just let people be happy. Arizona tells April she and Eliza couldn’t make it work.

14x08 All tomorrow’s parties

Amelia is scared of getting an ultrasound. Leah tells Arizona she wants to be a fetal surgeon. Alex goes to see Mr. Schuester from Glee again so Jo doesn’t have to and this time ~reveals~ himself. He and Jo make up. Meredith is bitter because she is Meredith. Catherine wants April to oversee the Avery Foundation’s investments around the country.

14X09 You stayed at home

Jo Wilson centric episode- at this point I’m just rolling with my fantasies lol. We get to see her living in her car, meeting abusive Glee-man, we see a bit of their relationship- nothing graphic but like so we get the gist- and in the end we see her FINALLY sign her divorce papers and break down in alex’s arms because she’s free, and then Alex asks her to marry him and she says yes, so they go to city hall and get married and stay tgt for ever. Also “home” is such a symbolic word for their relationship so thank you shuffle.

Okay, not that I didn’t have fun doing this but one must not dwell on dreams and forget to live- or, like, the shitshow that this is actually going to be…anyway I’m tired sorry

anonymous asked:

for the amelian prompt- jules meeting amelia for the first time! can't wait to see how jules reacts to will being so smitten with someone else :)

I used a random number generator to pick a prompt and this is the one that won. Incidentally, it’s almost identical to another one I got! Obviously, nothing is proofread. This takes place immediately after an upcoming one-shot, so… exceedingly minor spoilers for that. Let’s do this thing! (Writing time was an hour and fifteen minutes) cc: @dust2dust34 …

Easy to knock down but never fragile

This story takes place few weeks after Amelia’s brain surgery. Just to be sure I’m not thinking this will happen in the show but the idea came in my head and I wanted to get it out. I hope you enjoy it

It was one of the coldest nights in Seattle when Amelia got out of the bar. She had drank a lot. AGAIN. Amelia didn’t go to Joe’s anymore because she was afraid to get caught. She headed back to the hospital where she had started working again. First Amelia thought she’ll sleep there but she was craving for something else. Oxy.

Amelia knew there were still some pills left at her office. After the surgery Amelia didn’t know who she was anymore. She felt exactly the same as she did before the surgery but again something was completely different. That made Amelia very confused and the aftermath of it had arrived.

Amelia was taking drugs and drank alcohol whenever she could. She had shut everyone out and Amelia had to sneaked into Meredith’s house every night what she spent there because she couldn’t face Owen like this.

The neurosurgeon found what she had came for.

“Damn it.” Amelia said when she saw only four pills left in the bag.

She sat on the couch and downed the oxy with another vodka shot. After some time she felt high again. Amelia had missed the free feeling for years. She stood up and went out of her office.

Amelia wandered through the halls till she had made it in front of Megan’s room. She felt hurt. Amelia noticed Megan was still awake but alone in her room.

She opened the door and stepped in.

“Long time no see.” Megan said. “Owen told me about your surgery. I hope you’re okay now.”

“Yeah, I am.” Amelia said coldly.

“Is there a problem?” Megan asked.

“I’m sure you know very well there is.” Amelia stepped closer to her.

“Are you drunk?” Megan was surprised. “It’s just pathetic. Go home.”

“Who are you to ask me that? Who are you to tell me what I should do? Who are you to tell Owen what he should do? Who are you to tell my husband he should get a divorce with me? Who are you to judge my actions when you have no idea who I am? Who are you…?” Amelia was shouting now.

She was stopped by Owen’s voice. “Amelia! That’s enough!” He demanded.

Owen had stepped in the room with Farouk after they had went to get the ice cream. He sent the boy outside and pointed to one of the nurses who he could go talk to.

Amelia turned to him and looked at him with her pissed eyes. “And you!”

“Me?” Owen asked.

“Yes, you! Who are you to ask me for a baby?” She was very pissed now.

“Amelia.” Owen’s heart broke when he realized it. “You’re drunk.”

“So what? You can’t judge me!”

“Owen…” Megan started but was stopped when Amelia moved quickly to her and faced her closely. Megan could smell a very strong smell of an alcohol.

“You stay out of our lives!” Amelia hissed but was stopped when she felt Owen grabbing her arm. She tried to fight back but he was way too strong.

Amelia stopped moving and looked into Owen’s eyes again. “Let go of me or I’ll…” She threatened him.

“Or what? You’ll hurt me?” Owen tried to stay calm.

Amelia stared coldly into his eyes. “You cannot only blame me!”

“Blame you?” Owen asked.

“You are as messed up as I am. Maybe even more. You blame me that I run but you do the same thing. When you don’t want to talk about your problems it’s all fucking right. You don’t have to talk because you don’t need to talk things to death. And when I don’t feel like talking about my problems I’m the worst fucking person and wife in the world!”

“Amelia…” Owen said hurtfully.

“Don’t Amelia me. It’s always my fault. You are the golden boy like Derek was in our family. Everything is always amazing with you and you are always the good one. You never ever do things wrong.” Amelia paused.

She wanted to walk out of the room but she was stopped by Owen’s hand which was still grabbing her arm.

“Let go of me!” Amelia tried to get his hand off.

“Amelia, you need help!” Owen was now grabbing both of her arms.

“I need help? I? Need? Help? Look at yourself!” Amelia hissed. She tried to fight Owen’s hands off of her.

“Owen, let go of her.” Megan said.

Owen’s focus went on Megan and Amelia used her chance. She pushed Owen to the wall and ran out of the room.

“Owen… what was that?” Megan asked scaredly.

“Don’t.” Owen raised his hand to air. “She’s an addict. She can’t drink.” Owen covered his face with his hands and sighed.

“Owen.” Megan said sadly when she saw how hurt he was.

“I have to go find her.” Owen was out of the room before Megan could say anything.

She took her phone and dialed Meredith’s number what she had given her just in case she needed anything. Farouk came back in the room and laid down next to her mom. Hugging her tightly.

“Hi… I’m sorry to call you this late. It’s Megan.”

“Oh, hi. Is something wrong?” Meredith’s tired voice said.

“I don’t know.” Megan sighed. “Amelia was here. She was drunk and…”

“She was what?” Meredith’s shocked voice filled her room.

“Drunk, she was drunk. She was all pissed and yelled at me and Owen.”

“Where is she now?”

“I don’t know. She ran off and Owen went after her.” Megan could hear Meredith getting out of bed.

“Thank you for calling me. I’ll be right there.”

“Maggie.” Meredith opened her door and went over to Maggie’s bed. “Maggie!” Meredith shook her.

“Wha.. what is it?” Maggie said sleepily.

“Amelia is out of control. She’s drunk at the hospital. Come on. I’ll be waiting in the car and move damn fast!” Meredith was out of her room already.

Amelia could feel tears burning in her eyes. She ran to the elevator and went to the helipad. Amelia sat on the edge of the roof and remembered how she got high with Ryan on one of the LA roofs. She cried hard and couldn’t believe how she had messed up her life again.

Owen ran through the halls and asked directions where Amelia had gone. One nurse told him she had took the elevator but she hadn’t paid attention to which floor.

He didn’t stop looking for her. Owen felt how he pumped into someone.

“Hey!” Bailey said. “What’s going on, Hunt?”

Owen walked back to Bailey and took a breath. “Have you seen Amelia?”

“No. Why?”

“She’s drinking again. She’s very drunk right now. I have never seen her like this.”

“I’m coming with you. I’ll check the OR floor, you take the ER.”

“Deal.” Owen’s phone rang. It was Maggie.

“Hi, is something wrong?”

“Megan had called Mer and said Amelia is drunk. We’ll  be at the hospital in a minute. Have you found her?”

“No, not yet. Bailey will go check the OR floor and I’ll take the ER. Can you go check Amelia’s office again?”

“Okay, we will. Call me if you’ve found her.”

“Okay. Bye!”

Amelia stood up and looked down. She felt free like she was the only one but it was fading away. Amelia needed more oxy for it to last. She walked back to the elevator to get more drugs for herself what she had hid in one of the supply closet.

Amelia got what she was looking for and went back to her office. She got it all ready to breath the powder in when suddenly the door opened.

Amelia turned around and was met with Meredith’s and Maggie’s surprised but again hurting faces.

“Amelia?” Maggie said quietly.

Meredith texted quickly to Owen that they had found her in her office.

“So you really wanna do it?” Meredith asked without any emotions.

“Seriously? What are you even doing here?” Amelia said but got a flashback how she had said the same thing during her LA intervention to Jake.

“Why do you do this to yourself again? Are you still the same junky you were years ago?” Meredith pushed the buttons.

“Mer, people don’t change. They modify. They adjust. But underneath, we are who we are. People just get better at covering up their flaws.”

“Amelia.” Maggie said quietly.

“You don’t believe huh? I’ll show you.” Amelia went back to the table to where she had two stripes of oxy. When she started inhaling the first stripe Owen opened the door and not less behind was Bailey.

Amelia didn’t notice the new audience and inhaled the second stripe of oxy in her system.

“Amelia!” Owen was shocked.

“Now you see who I am. I’m just an oxy addict and nothing else.” Amelia sat on the couch again and relaxed. She closed her eyes and sighed, feeling the oxy spreading all over her body.

“Amelia.” Owen said but no response. The room fell in silence. Owen walked in front of Amelia and kneeled down, putting his hand on her knees. “Amelia!” He shook her.

“What? What do you want?” Amelia said slowly, getting higher every second.

“Please, let us help you.” Owen pleaded.

“Haven’t you figured it out yet? No one can help me.” Amelia said calmly and her eyes were closed again.

“You have to go to a rehab.” Meredith said.

“And if I don’t?”

“Then you’re fired Dr. Shepherd!” Bailey said confidently.

“Well, I’m making your life easier. I quit!” Amelia stood up and took everything she needed and put them in her purse.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Owen could feel anger building in him. He couldn’t believe Amelia was that stubborn.

“I’m going home.”

“Wait… what?” Meredith asked shockingly. “No you won’t! It’s my house and I can’t let you near my kids while you’re high or drunk.”

“Fine!” Amelia felt anger too now. She walked towards the door.

“Where are you going?” Maggie asked.

“Away. You’ll never have to see me again and I make sure you won’t.” And with that Amelia walked out of her office.

Owen wanted to ran after her but he was stopped by Meredith’s hand. “Leave it, she doesn’t mean it. I’m sure tomorrow when she’s finally sober, she’ll come here to apologize. Seriously, don’t worry, Owen.” Meredith tried to comfort him.

Owen sighed and noticed he had hold his breath.

5 days later

“Mer, she still hasn’t showed up!” Owen was pacing in the attending’s lounge.

“I know! Don’t you think I know that?” Meredith was losing her patiences too.

Maggie was sitting quietly on the couch.

“I’m going to call Addison. I’m sure she knows where to find her or has any idea what we’re about to face.” Meredith pulled her phone out and called her.

She sat next to Maggie as she waited Addison to pick up.

“Hello?” Addison’s confused voice sounded when she picked up.

“Hi, it’s Meredith.”

I love the soulmate AU's where Dean soulmark is "Im the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition"

But get this Jimmy Novak was not born with one soulmark but two, one he soon figures out when he meets his wife Amelia, but doesn’t understand why the other is there he would look at it and just feel wrong, like it wasn’t ment for him. Later on in life Jimmy understand that it wasn’t indeed for him but for the angel his body is a vessel for. Those three words on the inside of his left wrist is ment for the angel and his soulmate those three words are: who are you?

Review 14x01-14x02

Hey Guys, @jordan202 here.

So I wasn’t going to review the episodes but upon requests I decided to do it. Plus, I figured it would be an easier way to get to most of your asks than to reply one by one. (thank you everybody for sending it, you guys broke a record this time).

- If you are a non-Omelia fan who just wants the review snippets for the other characters, just scroll down to the end -

During this long hiatus, very often I got asked “Hey Jordan, what do you think is going to happen to Omelia in the upcoming season?” And each time I replied to that same question, I said that I didn’t know, because to have an idea of where things were going, we needed at least a sample of this new change of pace and writing that the show has promised.

And well… Krista Vernoff & company sure did make an impression.

The Boy Next Door: Chapter Seven - Derek Hale x Reader

Summary: (Y/n) moves to New York with her daughter, Amelia, for a fresh start. She quickly befriends her neighbour, Derek, until their relationship gradually develops into something more.

As always, thanks to @agirlwithpointlessideas

Pairing: Derek Hale x Female Reader

Derek Hale Masterlist

The Boy Next Door Masterlist

The summer passed by in a blur of memories they created together, from going to the zoo to spending the day at the beach. (Y/n) had never been happier, and she could only hope that Derek was enjoying it as much as she was. It had all started when they spent the day at the park.

The wind softly blew over (y/n) as she tried to read the book in her hands. The only problem was that she couldn’t focus on anything other than Derek’s hand that was gently playing with her hair. She shifted slightly, her head resting on his thighs. She took a deep breath and attempted to make it through at least a page of her book.  He seemed to be oblivious to the effect he was having on her, his eyes following Mia and Betsy as they ran around the park.

Giving up, she dropped her book to her side, letting her eyes close as she basked in the warmth of the day. It had been Derek’s idea to spend the afternoon at the park with a picnic, and it couldn’t have been better. The stress of work fell away as she relaxed against him.

His eyes moved to focus on her face, she’d been working around the clock and he was relieved to see her smiling. He knew she loved summer and he hated the fact that she was missing it trapped in her office. In that moment, Derek decided that he wanted her to have the best summer possible, ideas running through his mind of all of the different things they could do together.

“Do you like the beach?” (Y/n) moved her head so that she could look up at him, shielding her eyes from the sun.

“What?” The corners of her mouth flickered into a smile as Derek repeated his question.

“I love the beach, Mia does as well. She always makes at least ten sand castles before bringing every creature she can find back to me.” She paused, laughing fondly over the memories, “One time she brought back this huge crap and Mark-“ She stopped suddenly, her face falling into a frown. It felt wrong to talk to him about her ex-husband, her relationship with Derek was so pure and she didn’t want to taint it by remembering a man who’d nearly destroyed her.

Derek smiled at her kindly, trying to ignore the urge to find Mark and beat him to a pulp for causing such a desolate expression to take over (y/n)’s face.

“I’m sorry-“

“Hey, you have nothing to apologise for. We’ve all had bad relationships, trust me” She sat up, her eyes meeting his, if it were possible, her face became even sadder as she realised Derek had been forced to go through the same hardships as her. She traced her fingers along his jaw, knowing that one day they’d be ready to tell each other everything. They were quiet for a moment, Derek savouring her touch before Betsy and Mia came charging towards them.

“Can I have an ice cream?” (Y/n) had to stop herself from laughing when she realised the question wasn’t directed at her. Amelia had long since figured out that Derek would do just about anything for her.

“Of course” He moved to get up before (y/n) stopped him. She stood up instead, saying it was her treat. When she came back with three ridiculously big chocolate ice creams, she couldn’t stop the flutter of her heart as Derek’s smile widen and his eyes grew in excitement.

Prompt can be found here

Hi omelia family! I fix omelia storyline just for you, hope you will like it. Comments, likes and reblogs are very welcome ;)

@itsgreystime Thank you for help

“Beautiful tumor, whose brain is this?” Amelia asked, looking at the scans.

“Doctor Shepherd,” Deluca started, “I think you need to sit down.”

“I’m sure it’s….” Carina started after her brother.

“Don’t! Please. I-.” she leaned on the chair.

Amelia looked at the Deluca siblings, they were staring at her with pity in their eyes. She took a step back, trying not to collapse on the floor. Amelia turned and ran away from the room.

Amelia ran to the first bathroom she found, putting both her hands on the cold top of the sink. She bend her head trying not to cry, but after a second the first tear fell from her icy blue eyes. Amelia looked into the mirror, her face was as red as her eyes; looking into the mirror again Amelia saw a blurred figure, walking out from the cabin.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt.” Megan said.

“I-” Amelia tried to speak.

“Can I help?”

“No.” she said, holding her tears.

“I know we…” Megan stopped, looking at Amelia, “didn’t start well, but I’m sure you are amazing. My brother wouldn’t choose anyone…”

“I have a tumor!” Amelia said loudly, “it’s big, I’m a neurosurgeon and i can’t do anything. I can’t heal myself.” she said, slipping on the floor.

Megan jumped to her, trying to amortize the fall, she hold Amelia in her arms until the last spasm of her cry went away. She looked at her sister-in-law and at once understood why her brother picked her. She was strong, fearless and a bit crazy, she shut herself when something bothered her and that was so familiar to her that for a moment Megan knew that they totally could be friends.

“I’m not a neurosurgeon, but I know that my brother will be there for you… I will be there for you because we are family, no matter if you want it or not.” the redhead smiled, still holding Amelia.

“Owen doesn’t love me… he wants to be with Teddy. She loves him, and I can’t blame him. I screw it.” she cried again.

“I was away… for a long time, but I know my brother isn’t like that. He might make mistakes, we all do, but he loves you.”

“I made lots of mistakes lately.” Amelia said with a little smile.

“Can we make a deal?”

“What deal?”

“You will visit me, when everyone leaves, updating me on your stage and I won’t tell anyone about the tumor till you will be ready to say it yourself okay?” Megan smiled.

“Deal, but it sounds more like you made me visit you.” she smirked.

“Yeah that too. You look like a person who won’t treat me like an egg.” she smiled, “I won’t fix you Amelia, but I won’t let you be alone.”

“Thank you” Amelia smiled, lifting herself from the floor, ”now I will walk you out or your mom will call someone to find you.”

“Yes, I will go crazy. Everyone always asks me how I feel.”

“So… how are you feeling?” Amelia asked, smiling.

“Everyone wants to know what happened there and I really don’t want to talk about it now.” Megan said.

“So don’t. Everyone has a secret.” Amelia said.

“Now we share at least one.” Megan smiled.

Amelia took all the night shifts she can, every day when everyone left she took some food and went to Megan’s room. They talked as long as they can, not only about their secrets, but also about Owen. Both of them found out something new about the man they thought they knew everything about.

“When he was 10 and I was about 7 years old, he wanted to protect me from one of the boys. He wanted to punch him, but instead he got punched.” Megan smiled to herself, “when that boy punched my brother… I went to him and hit him straight on his nose. I broke one of my fingers, but I protected my brother.”

“Was he mad?”

“As hell! He said he was handling it! But I think he was just ashamed that a girl protected his ass.” she laugh.

“Oh my, he must have been pissed.” Amelia said, eating jello.

“So, how did that happened?” Megan pointed on the wedding ring.

“I have literally no game. I went to his trailer with sparkling, lime water, because I can’t drink, and he just kissed me. He is the best thing that ever happened to me.” she looked at her food, “I’ll have an operation in a week.” Amelia looked at Megan.

“It’s good that it will be that soon, Amelia. We got this.” she squeezed her hand.

Amelia looked at her with tears in her eyes, she liked her and no matter what happened she was grateful that Megan was the one who knew. She wanted to tell Owen about millions times, but the timing was never right.

“I forgot my phone.” Owen came to the room, “Amelia?”

“I need to go.” Amelia said, looking at Megan.

“Come when you can okay?” she said, “I’ll tell you more embarrassing stories about my brother.”

Amelia stood for a moment in front of Owen, he looked at her with surprise in his eyes, she knew that it was the perfect time to tell him. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. She passed him on the door, saying nothing.

“How long have you two been talking?” Owen asked.

“About a week? She’s very smart, cute and talented… and she knows almost as much embarrassing stories about you as I do.” Megan said, standing up.

“You didn’t like her before…”

“I didn’t know her before.” she said, giving him his phone.

Owen looked at her, her eyes were shining, she looked better every day. He didn’t know what she was talking about with his wife, but he was suspicious. Owen sat on the chair in front of Megan’s bed.

“I kissed Teddy.” he whispered.

“You did what?!” she shouted.

“My marriage fell apart Meg.”

“That gives you the right to cheat your wife?” she said, “I’m your sister. I love you, but it’s not how I remembered you.”

Amelia closed her eyes, she laid on the bed while one of the nurses drove her to the OR. She didn’t tell anyone except Megan, she didn’t want to bother anyone if the operation went wrong and she became a vegetable. Amelia looked at the bright lights over her head, she was scared, she knew what the risk was and for the first time her life didn’t depend on her skills.

“Doctor Shepherd are you ready?” one of the nurses asked.

“Yes.” she said, “let’s do this.”

“Let’s count from hundred to zero.”

“Hundred, ninety nine, ninety eight…”

Megan was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at the clock above the door. She was nervous and she couldn’t control her shaking hands. Megan closed her eyes, trying to focus. She knew that she promised that she wouldn’t tell anything, but it was the day Amelia needed her brother.

“I have something for breakfast. Teddy and me…”

“You’re such an ass!” Megan shouted.

“Meg are you okay?” he asked, putting the bag on the bed.

“You have an amazing wife, she loves you with her whole heart. She loved you when you were weak. Owen for God’s sake! You and Teddy are friends. Your wife is having an operation, which her life depends on and you are talking…”

“Wait…  what?!” he shouted back.

“Amelia is having a brain tumor removal surgery.” Megan said slowly, “she said she would tell you.”

“She didn’t.” Owen sat on a chair.

“She needs you Owen.”

“Thank you Megan.” he kissed her forehead, “I need to be there when she wakes up.”

Owen was sitting on a chair, with his eyes closed. He didn’t sleep for 27 hours, since he found Amelia in one of the hospitals. She was laying in a bed, covered with white blanket. Amelia had been sleeping for about a day, they removed the tumor, but her doctors were afraid about memory loss.

Owen didn’t leave her, he was sitting there because he promised himself that he would be the first person she would see.

At once he felt a little move, he lifted his eyes and saw her. She was awake, her eyes were blurred, she looked at him like she tried to find a reason why he was there.

“Amelia.” he whispered “babe, talk to me. Is something hurting you?”

“Mhm…” she murmured, “who are you?”

Her laugh filled the room, she was fully awake; she looked at him with a smile and put her hand on his.

“I’m sorry. I spent too much time with Megan.” she looked at him, “I’m sorry for what I did. For making you unhappy. For being a bad wife to you.”

“Shh.” he lifted himself and gave her a sweet kiss. “I’m sorry for being an ass.” he smiled.

“I’m not the only one who spends too much time with your sister.”

“Amelia, you are the best thing that ever happened to me. I was stupid not noticing that you were struggling with all of this and I love you. I love you with all my heart.”

“I love you too Owen. I’m so sorry I didn’t tell you… I was scared. I was scared that you would lose me just like you lost Megan before.” she cried.

Owen stood up and placed himself on the bed near Amelia. She was shaking from cry. He hold her tight, kissing her salty cheeks. After moment the spasm let her go and her hands found a trace to his face. She held him, giving small kisses on his cheeks first and later on his lips. Amelia looked at his light blue eyes, trying to remember them, she thought about their first kiss, she may doesn’t have a game, but for sure she has the best, loving husband on Earth.

Thank you @jia911 for proofreading this for me :)

My Boys – Beneath the Surface: Chapter 2

“Owen, you have to hurry up,” Amelia demanded, following her husband through the crowded ER. “We’re going to miss our flight!”

The trauma surgeon stopped walking when he reached the nurse station and put back a tablet with patient files at the same time he turned around to face his wife.

“I’ve been paging you for the last two hours saying I was ready. You never replied,” Owen reasoned, signing lab orders. “Now that I’m needed on a case you want to go?”

“I was stuck in surgery!” Amelia justified, once again hurrying to catch up with him. When she saw her husband was reaching out for another patient file, she took the object from his hands without ceremony. “Delegate it.” She commanded with her best bossy voice. “There’s a possibility of a tropical storm hitting the East Coast and it wouldn’t be surprising if the flights got cancelled when it does. We have to leave today.”

A Music Affair: The Wedding

Hi guys!!! So, finally, here it is! I’m so sorry that I kept you waiting for so long, I got really caught up with college, but thank you so much for your patience and constantly asking me to post the fic. Love your devotion <3
So, this is the first chapter of a two-shot of mine. In this one, you get to see Owen and Amelia’s wedding and on the next one, you’ll see their honeymoon (and how Melody was conceived haha). But yeah, hope you like it and please, give me your feedback! :)

That was it. It happened. They were finally married.

Amelia had just heard the priest’s words “I now pronounce you husband and wife” and she could feel her heart pounding in her chest.

She was a wife now. Owen Hunt’s wife.

Looking at him, Amelia couldn’t help the big smile on her face when she saw him grinning from ear to ear, such a happy look in his eyes, one she had never seen before. In that moment, seeing how much that man loved her and how he was filled with joy about being married to her, Amelia felt like the luckiest woman on Earth.

She couldn’t even believe that, hours before, she had almost left him at the altar.

It had started with the fear that the big storm in Chicago that day would complicate things for the guests to arrive and, eventually, ruin their wedding; which then ended up with her freaking out about getting married in the first place, considering the big spotlight her and Owen would always have on their lives. But, thankfully, her best friend Maggie stepped up to calm her down and make her put things into perspective. It actually didn’t matter what could happen to her and Owen, just the fact that she was marrying the love of her life and that was what made her happy and fulfilled in that moment. So, that’s what she did.

And now, feeling the touch of his strong hands on her waist while her fingers caressed his cheeks, his breath against hers, foreheads touched and eyes closed after their first kiss as husband and wife, Amelia didn’t regret it one bit.

Slowly opening her eyes, she started to regain consciousness of what was happening around her and Owen, coming out of their little bubble. Turning and looking around the church, she saw their friends and family on their feet applauding and cheering for the couple.

“We’re married.” Owen whispered in her ear, giving Amelia a kiss on the cheek.

“We are.” She looked back at him, smiling, before taking his hand in hers and walking down the aisle with her husband.

Amelia’s (not) secret

So I know that Amelia’s sisters were awuful to her with the wedding and all but I refuse to belive that’s all they are, because as Meredith said to Lizzie about the Shepherds- they walk through fire for each other, and that’s what I want to see. And of coursse some Omelia for the soul. hope you like it.

Amelia heard the door getting open but didn’t bother to look up, thinking it was probably Meggie, who was a sweetheart but Amelia was definitely losing her patience, it was nice that Meggie was trying to help- bringing food and staff but Amelia would appreciate if she wouldn’t come every two hours. Don’t she has a job or something? Amelia had a tumor to figure out.

She finally looked up when she heard a throat cleaning from the opened door followed by “When were you going to tell us you have a brain tumor?” coming from one of her sister, the other two were just looking very pissed.

“Oh god” Amelia fell down to the bed she was sitting on, messing all the papers she was reading.

Amelia closed her eyes hopping to wake up to discover she was dreaming, but she could hear the three women come in the on call room and close the door.

“How told you?” Amelia sat up opening her eyes.

“Meredith, why does Meredith is telling us about it and not you?” asked Katlyn quietly as she sat next to Amelia.

“Because I didn’t want you to know” Amelia said.

“Amelia we are sister you can’t do something like that without having your sisters by your side” Lizzie said.

“I need to go have my blood tested for like hundred thing but please don’t feel comfortable and go away” Amelia slammed the door behind her.

But of course they found her in there too.

“Amelia now that you can’t run can we talk?” Katlyn tried again.

“No, I don’t need you here” Amelia really didn’t want to have this conversation.

“You need us, we are sister” Nancy said.

“And at my wedding day? I needed you back then too, but none of you were there. But still it was ok, so I don’t see a reason for you to be for this one” Amelia said.

“Look we can talk about your wedding, and maybe there was a mistake made by us but” Katlyn was interrupted by Lizzie.

“Speaking about it, where is he? Because I saw Meredith and her sister, they met them when we got to the hospital but we haven’t seen him. So I see your marriage is not very well” Lizzie accused.

“My marriage is amazing, don’t get your nose in that too Lizzie” Amelia warned her.

“Amelia we are worried, and he should be here worried too” Nancy said.

“He is… just not here, leave it alone” Amelia’s voice cracked at the end and she kept looking at the tubes that were in her hand.

When she looked up she managed to see her sisters looking at each other as Katlyn let an “oh” slip. At that moment Amelia realized how it sounded.

“I didn’t meant it like that” Amelia said.

“I am going to kill that Owen Hunt” Lizzie said as she stormed out of the room.

“Lizzie come back” Amelia yelled after her. She started pulling the tube out of her hand but because it didn’t go as fast as she wanted due to her not being focused she just pulled it out of her hand aggressively.

Amelia had to stop Lizzie.

Lizzie was thinking of places where she could look after her sister’s husband and decided it will be best to start with the ER as he was a trauma surgeon. She remembered the way from her time in the hospital helping Derek.

“Accuse me, do you know where could I find Dr Owen Hunt?” Lizzie asked a red headed doctor in the ER.

“Yes, he should be in exam room 4 but you probably should…” Lizzie never heard what she was going to say as she was already on her way there.

She passed exam room 2, then three and then 4. Bingo.

She knocked and heard a familiar voice saying ‘yes’.

She opened the door to find Meredith talking to a man and woman, the woman was obviously the patient.

“Owen?” Lizzie asked the same time Meredith said her name in surprise.

“Yes, how can I help you?” He asked.

“You can tell me why the hell my baby sister having a brain tumor and you are not by her side being the loving husband you should be.

Before Owen or anyone else had a chance to say anything Amelia run in the room, Nancy and Katlyn few steps behind her.

Looking at the room she knew she was late.

"Wow” Magen said.

“How about all the Shepherd sisters get out of here so I could finish with my patient?” Meredith said.

“There is more of them?” Magen asked, from the place she was sitting she couldn’t see Nancy and Katlyn, so she leaned forward until she saw them.

“Right” Katlyn was the first to respond. She reached to grab Amelia and Lizzie by their hand but as she touched Amelia hand Amelia jumped from pain, her sister couldn’t see that her hand was hurt as she was standing behind her, and to be honest Amelia didn’t noticed it until now.

“You are bleeding” Owen finally found his voice.

“Oh” Amelia said looking at her hand “I probably should…”

“I can take care of this for you” Owen offered and Amelia agreed, leaving all the sisters behind in the exam room.

“Sorry about that, we will leave now” Lizzie said.

“No you should stay, I think we could have a very interesting conversation about our siblings” Magen said.

“Thanks for stitching me up” Amelia said after a long silence between her and Owen.

“You welcome, it’s nothing”

“No… my sisters suck at stiches, they could do it but it will look really bad” Amelia tried to laugh but couldn’t really do it.

“They are doctors, no?” Owen didn’t look up from her hand.

“Yeah but Kat is psychiatrist, Nancy OB/GYN and Lizzie is a pediatrician, they don’t do stiches on daily basis” Amelia explained.

“Amelia…” Owen tried to address the elephant in the room.

“Speaking on Lizz, I am sorry about her behavior, she can be a lot to take you know”

“I actually don’t know. You rarely speak about your sisters” Owen decided to let it go for now.

“Well they are pain in the ass” Amelia was ready to take anything she could get “umm they are bossy and treat me like a child but they were worried when Meredith told them so they came because they are family, pain in the ass who don’t understand how to use a phone to ask if they are wanted but whatever”.

“Well worried people do different kind of things, we are done here” Owen said.

Owen stood up ready to leave when he changed his mind “How didn’t you tell me about the tumor?”

“I don’t know I just… we are not ok and…”

“I am still your husband even if you don’t like it” Owen yelled or cried he wasn’t sure anymore.

“And that’s it!” Amelia cried “you will be here for me and you will take your place as a caring husband should do and you will look at me with those pitying eyes, and I don’t want it I prepare you hating from afar if that’s what you really feel then staying with me while not feeling anything to me”.

“And how would you know what I feel Amelia? Have you spoke to me in the past few months? No. So I will tell you, my sister came back from the dead and it is great, my wife isn’t talking to me and it awful and now she has a brain tumor and I may not get the chance to tell her how much I love her” Owen said.

“I don’t want to die, not before I had an opportunity to have a full life with you” Amelia went over to Own and he hugged her tightly, trying to put all his feeling from their time apart into one hug.

“I am here, and I will be here every step of the way and then you will win it and we will take care of our problems and we will do it together and then we will have a chance of that life we want, and we will do it” Owen promised “This tumor isn’t taking your future it’s just postpone it a little bit and it’s ok because you have years over years after that”.

And Amelia believed him and felt safe for the first in a long time.

Your reviews means everything to me so please let me know what you think about it.

Shock Pt.6

Breathe. Just breathe. She brought her hand to her stomach and then looked at it. The entire thing was drenched in blood.

Don’t freak out. Her eyes widened and she began hyperventilating. She got shot. She just got shot.

She was panicking. She could feel her blood soaking her shirt and pants, eventually feeling the blood touch her hands lying next to her. Black dots were beginning to cloud her vision and her breathing was becoming laboured as her body attempted to save itself by going into shock. Instinctively, her hand went to her stomach to try to stop the bleeding.

The ER had been hectic that day, he was used to it being busy but today felt different, something felt off. Nonetheless he carried on about his day, the ER was hectic yes, but luckily none of the patients had needed surgery thus far; which enabled him and Kepner to stay on top of things and keep the mayhem under control. Even though he constantly had his hands full, Owen couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong, something just didn’t sit right with him. During lunch he sat by himself and thought about what could have been bothering him, the only thing that came to mind was how he and Amelia had left things… unresolved. But he knew it wasn’t that as his situation with Amelia had been following him around for weeks, this feeling, this was something new. It was almost as though he could feel it in his bones that something bad was inevitably going to happen, he just couldn’t work out what.

Typically with Ashlyn’s friends, she would just show up to their place uninvited. She was just that type of girl. But Amelia was different–they’d become friends under weird circumstances, to say the least. Ashlyn thought that, someday, they’d get to the random pop-in point in their friendship. But for now, she wanted to make sure Amelia wasn’t resting or had an appointment when she showed up, so she texted her first. She was interested in meeting her baby-daddy, and of course wanted to check on the other girl after the eventful night of their rescue. She’d heard she was in the hospital, but hadn’t wanted to go visit her there. She didn’t want to intrude on her family’s time just because she was worried.

So she showed up with a big casserole dish full of homemade mac and cheese that just needed to be baked in the oven. Bringing food to people in need was something her mother had ingrained in her from birth, and Ashlyn liked to cook anyway.

She knocked on the apartment door and waited for Amelia to open it. When it was Mikey who appeared in front of her, hobbling on one crutch and looking at her like she had two heads, Ashlyn just gave him a sweet smile and held up the food. “Don’t get your man-bun in a twist, big boy. I brought you food.”
