can we get rid of the concept that boys don’t like mushy romantic lovey-dovey shit? boys can like dates. boys can like flowers. boys can like gentle kisses. boys can like rom-coms. boys can be overwhelmed with adoration and appreciation. they need to be taken care of emotionally just as much as anyone else does. spoil them, treat them like kings. let them cry without having to worry about judgement. play with their hair. be the big spoon sometimes. give them spontaneous gifts. let them rant and whine. comfort them. guys have emotional needs. they need to be taken care of, too. love your boy the way you want your boy to love you y'all
god dammit i love not being feminine. i love not spending my money on makeup and razors and all that extra shit that Lush sells. i love not wasting my time trying to be as smooth as possible and trying to get my eyeliner “on fleek”. i love wearing shorts that don’t ride up my fucking crotch and wearing shirts that don’t hug my breasts and wearing shoes that don’t pinch the fuck out of my feet. i love being a good example for young girls. i love answering my little cousin’s question, “why don’t you shave?” even though i get my fair share of shit for it, it’s worth it to be able to let girls and other women that it’s okay to exist in your natural state and be comfortable with yourself.
What I have to say to girls who are hyper feminine: just try it.
Just try not shaving, going barefaced, wearing comfy clothes, not doing your hair. If you truly tried and prefer to do feminine things then I applaud you and support your decision! I’m only saying that you should try it. The hair can be shaven and plucked, makeup can be applied, tight spandex can be worn; all of these things can be quickly amended in a couple of hours it’s not something you have to do forever. Get to know your body and how she works! How do you know that you truly wouldent appreciate your own natural body, over your augmented one if you haven’t even met her yet? And if you dont like it you can have your money back guaranteed!
I’m tired of this fight against “femininity” lately that I’ve been seeing. Girls who wear makeup and shave (for example) aren’t “brainwashed”. You aren’t a better, more “empowered” woman because you choose not to.
When did feminism stop being about women’s choice? When did it become “be like me or you’re just controlled by dick”?
I shave because my thick italian body hair makes me itchy as hell. I like makeup because I like to show off my features and have FUN but I don’t need it.
