I think Atomic Puppet is underrated.
The animation of the series and fluidity of the movement of the characters becomes higher than that of other current popular series (with that I do not try to disparage the other pardon if it is misunderstood ^^;)
The protagonists are fun and a great duet, with differences sometimes, but in the end they make a hero ♥
The plot goes slow but that changes von the end of the season.
You have to give the opportunity to Atomic Puppet as it gives opportunity to other series ^^
And join your fandom too! It is small in comparison to more popular fandoms but it is worth riding on it :) (sorryformybadenglish ;; ;; )

12x20 - Holy Narrative Mirrors Batman!

In the middle of taking ages to write another hand meta (yes I’m back to that guys) this episode aired and therefore I am here to bring you my review of 12x20 and all the emotions that brought to the table.

Firstly, important things to address: I am PISSED that two POC women were killed this episode. I don’t really care that Alesha was brought back as a Twig puppet monster (my nickname for those creatures) because it was still two violent POC deaths shown on screen. Must we really keep seeing this on this show? After Billy? I know that SPN needs to keep its death count high and I would NOT want them to kill off Max when he is our only canon recurring queer character on the show atm either (not including Dean still hidden away in Narnia) but I’m still pissed off about it. I also didn’t like the fact that they showed the old witch’s immediate dislike of Tasha being a racist thing either. Yes I know she’s an evil witch but really spn? Racism and then have that same racist old hag KILL the poc lady? Nice going.

Anyway, that is my rant on that. So ya’ll know it pissed me off. This is a just fandom blog and I wanna keep it positive bearing in mind I actually loved this episode but it needed to be addressed.

I did love this episode, even if I am getting a meta headache over all the narrative mirrors they showed us and went to extensive lengths to portray. I feel I need to outline them all clearly so without further rambling here they are:

Max is Dean and Alesha is Sam

This one is pretty obvious. They went to great lengths to show this including adding a blast from the far past in the ‘THEN’ section by showing us the Pilot episodes baby dean (how high and young his voice was!) saying the classic phrase “Dad’s on a hunting trip and hasn’t been home in a few days”. To say that the Banes’ story then mirrors the first two seasons of the show would be highly accurate.

Max is shown to be the loud, flirtatious, overly confident sibling with his boisterous attitude and charisma. Unlike Dean however he is ‘out and proud’… Oh Dean… please find your way out of Narnia this season.

Alesha is the sibling who rolls her eyes over her brothers antics, and feels more like an outsider in the family, based on this conversation with Sam:

“He always thinks he knows mum better, because they’re both natural witches, it’s who they are”

“When I was growing up Dean and my dad had the same thing with hunting, that bond”.

This pretty much drums the mirror home, but later we are shown just how similar Dean and Max are by how Max takes the deal and brings his sister back (though perhaps not quite in the same way) and sells his soul for her, because like Dean, he is unable to go on without his sibling.

This is the main narrative mirror in place, with the siblings shown to be kinda co-dependent and willing to sacrifice for each other. It also really helps our bi!dean reading that he is yet again being mirrored with a queer man. Yay for Steve Yokey really pushing that parallel.

more under the cut…

It was a normal day.

I was doing my job as his stylist, by making sure that his clothes were the perfect fit for when he set foot on the red carpet. My job also included doing his makeup. Kyungsoo didn’t like having a lot of people around him so when they found me they were very pleased to find out about my makeup classes.

I was a recent University graduate student when they hired me. It was my first real job and I was so happy to have it. Can someone imagine how it would feel like to be doing your most desired job for one of the most famous actors in the country? It felt like a dream. I would be able to pay for my student loans and maybe have it a little bit easier.

I’m going to be updating how I draw the SL animatronics. Funtime Freddy didn’t really change much except now he’s crazy but Puppet Bonnie sure did!

Not a random crossover, Panda and Prohyas share the same VA in the mexican/latin american dub, and is amazing because both are adorable c:

I think is called Miguel Angel Ruíz

Also he voices Hot Dog Guy (The Amazing World of Gumball) and Joey Felt (Atomic Puppet). Oh yeah, the wonders of the mexican dubbing ^u^

Pinocchio was intended to be Disney’s third film, after Bambi. However due to difficulties with Bambi, it was put on hold and Pinocchio was moved ahead in production.

The plot of the film involves an old wood-carver named Geppetto who carves a puppet named Pinocchio. The puppet is brought to life by a blue fairy, who informs him that he can become a real boy if he proves himself to be ‘brave, truthful, and unselfish’. Pinocchio’s efforts to become a real boy involve encounters with a host of unsavory characters.

Early scenes animated by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston show that Pinocchio’s design was exactly like that of a real wooden puppet. Animator Milt Kahl felt that Thomas, Johnston and Moore were 'rather obsessed with the idea of this boy being a wooden puppet’ and felt that they should 'forget that he was a puppet and get a cute little boy; you can always draw the wooden joints and make him a wooden puppet afterwards.' Despite the iconic nature of the scene in which Pinocchio’s nose grows, it only happens once in the film.

Disney urged the writers to evolve Pinocchio into a more innocent, naïve personality that reflected this design. However, Disney found that the new Pinocchio was too helpless. Therefore, in the summer of 1938 Disney and his story team established the character of the cricket. Originally the cricket was only a minor character that Pinocchio killed by squashing him with a mallet and that later returned as a ghost.

Pinocchio marked the first time an animated film used celebrities as voice actors. Disney cast popular singer Cliff Edwards, also known as 'Ukelele Ike,’ as Jiminy Cricket. Another voice actor recruited was Mel Blanc, most famous for voicing many of the characters in the Looney Tunes cartoons from Warner Bros. Blanc was hired to perform the voice of Gideon the Cat. However, it was decided that Gideon would be mute, so all of Blanc’s recorded dialogue was deleted except for a solitary hiccup.

Pinocchio went into release accompanied by generally positive reviews. Although it became the first animated feature to win a competitive Academy Award – winning two for Best Music, Original Score and for Best Music, Original Song for 'When You Wish Upon A Star’ – it was initially a box office disaster. It eventually made a profit in its 1945 reissue.

Pinocchio was a groundbreaking achievement in the area of effects animation, giving realistic movement to vehicles, machinery and natural elements such as rain, lightning, snow, smoke, shadows and water. Many film historians consider this to be the film that most closely approaches technical perfection of all the Disney animated features.”

(fun facts)

As you see, 1 of April was my birthday and no one bought me a gift because they didn’t had money but today I received a gift and that was an Atomic Puppet t-shirt!!! :D

By the way, the picture on the t-shirt isn’t my art, It’s Sparky-2000’s art. I was the one who gave my mom’s friend the idea of put Sparky-2000’s Atomic Puppet drawing on the t-shirt so please don’t hate/judge me for that ^^’

I just wanted to have something related with Atomic Puppet…
Oh! And another thing! Do you see the quote under the picture? Well, That means “It’s Atomic Time!” (It’s in Spanish)
