fell in love with this movie

Ashamed of his monstrous form, the beast concealed himself inside his castle, with a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world. The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his 21st year. If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?

Animations-Daily’s 100K Celebration Week: Day 1: Favorite animated movie  » Beauty and the Beast (1991)

“If he could learn to love another, and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?”

Reasons Why I Actually Loved Beauty and the Beast:

  1. The back stories added a nice depth to the main characters, without taking too much screen time or taking away from the original story.
  2. The plot holes from the original movie were filled in very nicely.
  3. THE SUPPORTING CAST.
  4. Seriously, whoever did the casting did an amazing job, I am very impressed.
  5. I loved the greater emphasis on the servants. I fell in love with them. I mean I always loved them, but I loved them much more in this movie.
  6. I liked the small homage to the broadway musical. (If anyone noticed, when Belle enters her room for the first time they play an instrumental of the song “Home” from the broadway musical).
  7. Be My Guest had such beautiful CGI animation. That was easily my favorite scene in the film.
  8. I loved that they made the Beast educated and well-read. And the scoff at Romeo and Juliet was perfect.
  9. The romance between Belle and Beast felt much more natural and it was all very sweet:
“They don’t like me either. The villagers all think I’m strange.”
“Do you think that in time you could grow in affection?” “I don’t see why not.”
  10. DAN STEVENS. I never thought I would actually feel sympathetic towards the Beast, nor did I thought I would actually like him. But man did Dan Stevens do him well.
  11. DAN STEVENS’ SINGING. (I can’t decide if I like his version more than Josh Groban’s. That’s how good it is).
  12. “I AM NOT A BEAST.”
  13. More diversity! I was glad to see more POCs, interracial relationships, and portrayal of a same-sex relationship. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good start.
  14. The Enchantress actually existed as a character throughout the movie and didn’t just disappear like in the original movie. It made the curse seem more like a lesson than a cruel punishment. It made it seem like she was always planning on sending a girl the Beast’s way, she just had to find the right one. And when she saw how kind and intelligent Belle was to her, she knew that she was the right girl for the Beast.
  15. The inanimation scene before the transformations (I got really emotional and cried y'all)
  16. THE GROWL. ❤️
I fell in love with you because you weren’t like anyone else, and you didn’t try to be. Do not think for one moment that you’ll disappoint me. I will love you no matter what.

Okay okay okay I know I panicked over the whole “LeFou is gay” thing, but I’ve seen it and I’ve got to say…they made it work. (SPOILERS) LeFou in this version is more of a good guy who fell in with a bad guy he rather quickly figures out is bad. He often tries to steer Gaston away from doing evil shit but gets ignored. He ditches Gaston for good and gets a happy ending, possibly with a boyfriend. It’s leaps and bounds better than I thought we would get, and it’s a good baby step in the right direction for Disney.

The angels of supernatural

Castiel, the angel who fell for the humans.
Gabriel, the angel who just wanted peace.
Lucifer, the angel who loved his father too much.
Gadreel, the angel who was blamed.
Anna, the angel who just wanted to feel something.
Micheal, the angel who was a good soldier.
And Balthazar, the angel who unsunk the titanic because he hated the movie.

I did not fall for him because he was good for me. I fell for him for the way he sees life. He is better than most of the people I have seen and spoken to. He is better than this ideal guy I had in my mind. He is tender. He is kind. He is loyal. He is ferocious and he is calm. I fell for him because I’m jealous of him. I fell for him because he is more than a song or a piece of art or a movie could make me feel. He gives me a sense of home, a sense of this serene and exciting infinity that I have always wanted. He is beautiful in a way he does not understand. He is what I have always wanted to be, to be generous and kind and loving and so very strong. Because that part of me has been lost and that part of me, I found in him. He is hope. He is that soul people show in books, a tender heart yet strong. That soul that survived through storm, ruffled and yet optimistic. Something, someone I try to be. Sigh. I found my home.

You fell in love with the one. Your very first love was everything. You went to the movies and held hands. You fell asleep looking at the sky while laying in a field. You looked at each other like love was all that mattered. You ran through the rain and hugged and cried and tried with everything you had to make it work. Your heart skipped a beat, and you didn’t think you could fall any harder. Of course, you thought you’d be different. It was true love to you. But then the late night conversations stopped. The cute hair twirling stopped. You ended up screaming and fighting even when it was the last thing either of you wanted. You begged the universe to let it work. You convinced yourself you wouldn’t leave no matter what they did. Then, they left you. Your first love left you with a broken heart for someone who didn’t love them. I’m sorry, beautiful one. I’m sorry you fell in love with the perfect person who turned out to just be human.

“Once upon a time there was a little prince who lived on a planet hardly any bigger than he was, and who needed a friend.”

“The Little Prince” (2015)

I don’t remember the first time we met, or even the second. I can’t tell you what you were wearing or how the sky looked that day. But I can tell you the moment I fell in love with you and every moment since. I can tell you how the air smelled when you asked me out on our first date. I can tell you how it felt when you wrapped your arms around me during our first movie night. Every detail is ingrained in my mind just like you are ingrained in my heart. It might not have been love from the start but it’s a love bigger than life now.

The Lion King, both the first and the second movie, are my favourites Disney movies since childhood.

I was thinking about a possible AU and Alteans and Galras made this possible. And well, I love prince Lance, he could be a perfect Simba but also a cute Kiara, and I still can’t choose.

In this one, Allura is the older sister and queen of Altea, Lance is her younger brother and Keith as Kovu is a Galra warrior who grew up with Haggar the Witch. At the beginning Keith had to kill Allura in order to take the kingdom back to Galras but then he fell in love with prince Lance and started to change his mind.

Unfortunately, Allura does not believe his change.

Allura: Why have you come back?
Keith: Because… I had nothing to do with-

Allura: You don’t belong here!

Keith: Please… I ask your forgiveness.

Lance: Allura, please… listen to him!

Allura: Silence! When you first came here, you asked for judgment… and I pass it now.

Others Alteans: Kick him out! That’s right! Judgement day is here!

Allura: Exile!

Lance: No!!

We rehearsed all the time. I mean, I couldn’t appreciate the compliment about the chemistry more because, like, I fell in love with Timmy in the process of making the movie. He’s fuсking terrific and he’s also an incredible actor, so I had all of that. It was just this great experience where I think we all, in the process of making this movie, got that experience of that one summer where we were there and everything was perfect.” — Armie Hammer on working with Timothée Chalamet on “Call Me By Your Name”

Here are my headcanons about what the Newsies' favorite musicals would because I'm trash

Jack: West Side Story. He’s a romantic sap, to be honest, plus he loves the setting and the turf wars and stuff. He sees himself in Tony. He also really likes Rent.

Crutchie: He loves all those classic, black-and-white musical movies, like Singin’ In The Rain and White Christmas. Annie Get Your Gun and The Sound Of Music are favorites too. He likes anything that’s Golden Age with upbeat music and extravagant numbers.

Davey: He’s not a huge musical person (“It’s just not realistic for someone to randomly burst into song.” “Have you ever spent five minutes with Romeo? It’s very realistic.”), but Romeo (the resident theatre kid of the group) introduced him to Dear Evan Hansen, and Davey was shocked and touched to see anxiety portrayed so realistically, and instantly fell in love.

Katherine: Heathers. She can often be found belting out “Dead Girl Walking” in the shower, though no one needs to know that, in her opinion.

Race: In The Heights. I really don’t know why, I just feel like he’d really like it.

Spot: Like Davey, Spot’s not a huge musical person, but for some reason, he knows every word of Phantom Of The Opera??? But, if anyone asks why he knows this, they’ll get sucker punched, so it’s best to leave it unquestioned.

Romeo: Anything and everything. Asking him to choose a favorite is like asking him to choose a favorite child.

Specs: Sweeney Todd. No one expects him to like something that gory, yet, he adores it.
